Lordy, Lordy, happy birthday Cordi! It’s so fitting that Walker‘s return takes place on our guy’s big day because it feels like it’s been Years since we last saw Jared Padalecki‘s Texas Ranger. But the show is finally back and jumping right into the action as Cordell and Trey (Jeff Pierre) ramp up their hunt for The Jackal, a serial killer we first learned about last season as the case that nearly destroyed Captain James (Coby Bell). Have the guys gotten any closer to catching him? And how have they handled life without Cordi’s partner (and Trey’s crush!), Cassie Perez (Ashley Reyes), while she’s been out of town on assignment with the FBI? More importantly, how is Cordi dealing with his new living situation? Of course, the man with the answers is Sassy Boots himself. So we rang up Jared P. to...

Walker is one of the few shows on The CW from an earlier regime, back when the network catered to younger audiences.
Of course, the series skews older than The CW’s typical series, which probably explains why it survived when the network’s younger-skewing fare like Charmed, Dynasty, Legacies, and Nancy Drew all got the pink slip.
Walker, a reboot of the successful Walker, Texas Ranger, has managed to break through as a reboot because it has brought plenty of contemporary storylines to a format that worked well not so long ago.
As we delve into Walker Season 4, the series is at a tipping point because it will be judged more harshly than some other offerings, such as Wild Cards, which has performed admirably as a co-production.
Plenty of details have emerged about Walker Season 4, but we don’t want you to do all the digging for intel.

Exclusive: Writer-director Courtney J. Camerota has wrapped production on her first feature, Dead Guy, a dark comedy shot under an Interim Agreement that will be introduced to buyers at AFM by CAA Media Finance. Among those in the starry cast are two-time Oscar nominee Michael Shannon (The Bikeriders), Golden Globe nominee Eva Longoria (Sylvie’s Love), Judy Greer (White House Plumbers), Luis Guzman (Story Ave), Amaury Nolasco (The Valet), Rory Culkin (Black Mirror), Curtis Armstrong (New Girl), Ashley Reyes (Walker), and Richard Ellis (Walker).
Dead Guy‘s plot is set into motion when an abrasive old man suddenly dies in the apartment of a neighbor. An absurd game of hot potato then begins with the not-so-dearly departed, as neighbors and building workers each pass the body along, in the hopes of not being linked to the old man’s demise.
Marking the launch of Shft, the new production company of Zac Adams, Dead Guy is also produced by Ryan Lewis of Ryan J. Lewis, Esq, as well as Chadd Harbold of Post Film. Jack Christian of Filmology served as a producer and financier. Exec producers included D.J. McPherson of Filmology, Jared Safier and Justin Safier of Safier Entertainment, Russ Posternak of Post Film, and Nathan Marcus.
Said Camerota, “I wrote this script years ago and to finally see it come to life is a dream come true. The opportunity to work with such an incredible cast, crew and producing team for my directorial debut has been an absolute honor. I can’t wait for the world to see Dead Guy.”
Producer Zac Adams stated that “as both a filmmaker and movie lover, the main goal is to always create films that are not only of the highest quality, but films that are enjoyable. With the world being as dark as it’s been the past few years, I hope our film helps spread some much needed light. It was an absolute honor and privilege in helping Courtney’s vision come to life.”
Added producer Ryan Lewis, “When I read this script I knew this movie had to be made. I’m thrilled that I got to help make it, and got to do so with both a friend and client in Courtney. Our incredible cast is a testament to Courtney’s writing and I’m overjoyed to see her vision come to life on the big screen.”
Shannon is repped by CAA, Range, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes; Longoria by WME, Linden Entertainment, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes; Greer by CAA, Artists First, and Felker Toczek Suddleson; Guzman by Gersh and Gravesend Entertainment; Nolasco by Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman; Culkin by Paradigm and Brookside Artist Management; Armstrong by Cesd; and Reyes by Stewart Talent and Mosaic.

With the unfortunate cancellation of How I Met Your Father after only two seasons, we’ve not only had to say goodbye to one of the few streaming comedies that feels like a true sitcom, but now we’ll likely never know who the titular father actually is. The series’ predecessor How I Met Your Mother took eight seasons to finally reveal the identity of the mother, and while it’s hard to believe that Himyf would have lasted that long anyway in the streaming era, it’s still sad that we won’t have the chance to see Sophie (Hilary Duff) find love the way Ted (Josh Radnor) did.
But just because Himym took so long to introduce the mother, doesn’t mean that we haven’t already met the father of Sophie’s child. The pilot episode even says that Sophie met the father the night of Sid...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Walker‘s Season 3 finale, “It’s a Nice Day for a Ranger Wedding.” So if you haven’t watched yet, maybe re-examine your life choices.] Dearly beloved, we are gathered here together to celebrate this thing called Walker. Because not only was the show renewed two days ago, but it also wrapped up Season 3 with a big ol’ wedding and a ton of loose ends that will be requiring attention. Such as a possible serial killer coming for our heroes — including tonight’s happy groom Captain James (Coby Bell) — and the ongoing weirdness between clearly crushing Rangers Trey (Jeff Pierre) and Cassie (Ashley Reyes), who stunned pretty much all of Austin by slaying a wedding duet with Cap’s bride, Kelly (Kearran Giovanni). Rebecca Brenneman/The CW And speaking of stunning, there was also a bonkers twist that saw Cordi’s daughter Stella (Violet Brinson) seemingly blow away that kid...

In years past, The CW was a little trigger-happy with renewals, but now that Nexstar Media Group has a majority stake in the company… those days are gone. While we have seen many CW shows get the axe over the past year, some have continued, including Jared Padalecki’s reimagining of Walker, Texas Ranger. The CW announced today that Walker has been renewed for season 4 but with a decreased episode count.
Walker season 4 will consist of 13 episodes, placing it behind seasons 1 and 3, which had 18, and season 2, which had 20. “I’m so excited and grateful to continue the ‘Walker’ legacy for another season alongside our partners at CBS Studios and The CW,” Jared Padalecki said in a statement. “We can’t wait to make Season 4 bigger and better than ever and to lasso even more fans into the ‘Walker’ family. The CW has given a 13-episode Season 4 order to Walker, starring Jared Padalecki, to air in 2023-24 broadcast season.
This is the first renewal decision made by the CW under its new regime; as Deadline has reported, flagship All American‘s renewal, announced in January, was part of Nexstar’s deal to acquire the CW.
Walker had been considered the frontrunner among the CW’s scripted series to snag a renewal. It is a strong ratings performer, ranking as the network’s most-watched linear show this season in Total Viewers.

“Walker” has been renewed for Season 4 at The CW, Variety has learned.
Unlike previous seasons, the fourth season of the series will consist of 13 episodes. Both Seasons 1 and 3 were 18 episodes, while Season 2 was 20. The Season 3 finale is set to air on May 11.
“I’m so excited and grateful to continue the ‘Walker’ legacy for another season alongside our partners at CBS Studios and The CW,” said series star and executive producer Jared Padalecki. “We can’t wait to make Season 4 bigger and better than ever and to lasso even more fans into the ‘Walker’ family. Let’s ride!”
The series serves as a reimagining of the long-running series “Walker, Texas Ranger.” Padalecki stars as Cordell Walker, described as “a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin, TX, after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home.

In our Q&A series Last Call, we get down to the bottom of every last thing with some of our favorite celebs - from the last time they were starstruck to the last song they listened to. This week, "How I Met Your Father" star Francia Raisa takes our call.
Francia Raisa has "zero clue" who the titular father is on "How I Met Your Father." But even if she did, her lips are sealed. "I do not think they will ever tell me, because I keep trying to figure it out," Raisa tells Popsugar. "At this point, I'm so confused, because even though I'm on the show, there are things that I don't even catch until it airs. I'm like, 'Wait a second, she said she kissed all of her friends. What does that mean?' And I didn't even hear that line until it aired."

Harris earned four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series over the course of his tenure with the show, in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Harris will appear in next week’s two-episode mid-season finale of “How I Met Your Father,” which debuts on Hulu on March 28. After the duo of installments, the series will take a hiatus for a few weeks before continuing its 20-episode second season on May 23.

Last year, How I Met Your Father brought back Cobie Smulders’ Robin Scherbatsky. In season 2 of the Hulu series, which just premiered on Jan. 24, Neil Patrick Harris’s Barney Stinson will be the next big How I Met Your Mother cameo. While many fans of the How I Met franchise are thrilled to see these Og characters back in action, they’d rather see one Himym face as soon as possible: Cristin Milioti’s Tracy. Here’s why Tracy’s How I Met Your Father cameo is on a time crunch.

It’s great to see How I Met Your Father honoring fans of the original series with Himym Easter eggs and cameos. However, the ultimate fan service would be finding a way to tie Tracy into Himyf.

"How I Met Your Father" is back, and no, we still don't know who the father is. But the season two premiere, which Hulu released on Jan. 24, promised something even bigger: a major cameo from a member of the original "How I Met Your Mother" cast. It's not surprising, since the season one finale featured Cobie Smulders as Robin Scherbatsky giving advice to Sophie (Hilary Duff) about her relationship with Jesse (Chris Lowell).
But in the season two premiere, viewers get a look at the original's most legendary cast member: Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson. Here's how it goes down.

“How I Met Your Father” kicks off new episodes in just a few weeks, and only Et exclusively debuts the season 2 trailer!
The minute-long trailer opens with Sophie (Hilary Duff) and her friend, Valentina (Francia Raisa), as they lament entering their 30s and how much of a “trainwreck” their lives still are. They’re all still trying to find “the love of [their] lives,” but as Sophie shares, “the world is not that simple anymore” as the friends continue to go through the highs and lows of trying to date in the modern age.
In one scene from the trailer, Ellen (Tien Tran) comments about how Sophie is dating “an older guy” as she and the others have a laugh about it at the bar — not knowing that Sophie’s new man (played by “Sex and the City’s” John Corbett) is actually there too. Awkward!

Abal first appeared on Supernatural in Season 4 before his major story arc in Season 5. He would later come back for the show’s final season in Season 15 to give viewers closure on his character.

Looks like Walker was “abel” to stage another Supernatural reunion. According to Entertainment Weekly, Jake Abel will recur on Walker starting with The CW series’ episode airing Thursday, November 10. That means the former Supernatural actor will again be sharing the screen with Jared Padalecki, who starred as Sam Winchester on Supernatural and now leads the cast of Walker as Cordell Walker. On Walker, Abel will play Kevin, the handsome chief of staff to the mayor. Per EW, Kevin will enlist Trey (Jeff Pierre) and a Cassie (Ashley Reyes) to work as the mayor’s security detail at a fundraiser. And gradually, both Cassie and the Walker family will see beneath Kevin’s know-it-all exterior. That sound you heard was a collective sigh of relief from concerned Jared Padalecki fans.
The Walker star is speaking out for the first time since his former Supernatural castmate Jensen Ackles revealed that Padalecki is recovering from what sounds like a very scary car accident. Both actors were scheduled to appear at a Supernatural convention in New Jersey this past weekend, but Padalecki announced last Thursday that he would not be in attendance. At the event on Sunday, Ackles explained, “He was in a very bad car accident. He wasn’t driving, he was in the passenger seat, and...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Walker Season 2, Episode 14, “No Such Thing as Fair Play.” If you haven’t watched it, go grab a corndog and see if those games really are rigged at the annual Ranger fair.] Now that his episode of Walker has aired — and we’ve learned that Cassie’s (Ashley Reyes) missing ex-partner isn’t so missing after all — it’s safe to spill some more details from Jensen Ackles‘ first time directing the show. Not so much about the storyline, which is sure to create even more chaos for Cordi (Jared Padalecki) as he deals with the reveal that Geri (Odette Annable) is the lost daughter of the evil Davidsons. No, instead we asked Ackles how much fun he was able to have at the expense of his old Supernatural partner. It sounds pretty priceless. You’ve directed Jared before, but this episode gave you an opportunity to torture him in all new ways.

Spoiler Alert: This story reveals important plot points from the Season 1 finale of Hulu’s How I Met Your Father.
The Season 1 finale of Hulu’s How I Met Your Father had a little bit of everything for anxious fans: surprise (re)appearances, a tuxedo cat, a wedding, two breakups, and the final piece of the puzzle connecting The Captain (Kyle MacLachlan) and Sophie’s (Hilary Duff) love life.
The episode titled “Timing Is Everything” opens with the Captain as he is negotiating the terms of his divorce from Becky (Laura Bell Bundy), and all she wants is his most prized processions—his boats. If you’re wondering what on earth their marital woes have to do with Sophie, her future self (Kim Cattrall) asks for patience as the story unravels.
Present-day Sophie is almost stood up by Jesse (Chris Lowell) at a restaurant, but he barrels in extremely late with a tepid excuse.
