After the success of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, fans are now eager to see what Brahamstra Part 2: Dev would be like. Fans also think that Ranveer Singh has already started prepping for his role as Dev, none of which has been confirmed. Viewers have been speculating that DEv will be played by Ranveer Singh ever since the first movie dropped.
Audiences who have enjoyed Brahmāstra are looking forward to a second part, and with speculations aiming at Ranveer Singh as Dev, the anticipation has grown even more. The first part of the mythical fantasy movie created by Ayan Mukerji and starring a couple – Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt – drew the audience’s attention to it.

Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is making headlines as he prepares to make his cinematic debut with “Maharaj,” set to release on Netflix on June 14. Following his father’s footsteps, Junaid has been dedicated to the craft of acting, having focused on theater since completing his education in dramatics in 2017.
Despite his promising background, Junaid’s journey to the big screen was not without challenges. An industry source revealed that Junaid faced seven rejections before landing his first significant role. “Junaid auditioned extensively but faced numerous rejections, including from his father’s home production ‘Laal Singh Chaddha.’ However, a producer discovered one of Junaid’s previous audition tapes and offered him an opportunity, albeit with certain conditions,” the source shared.
For his role in “Maharaj,” Junaid underwent a significant physical transformation, shedding 26 kilos over two years to fully embody his character. Filming began in February 2021 and wrapped up within eight months.

“Munjya,” starring Sharvari Wagh, delves into the supernatural with a narrative rooted in folklore and mysticism. Directed by Rajesh Sharma, the film ambitiously aims to deliver chills and suspense but is hindered by inconsistencies and a predictable plot.
Set in a remote village haunted by the malevolent spirit of Munjya, the film follows journalist Meera, portrayed by Sharvari Wagh, as she investigates the hauntings. Wagh’s performance is a highlight, bringing a compelling mix of curiosity and courage to her role. Her portrayal is nuanced, effectively conveying fear, determination, and empathy, making Meera a relatable and engaging character.
Adding to the film’s strengths is Mona Singh, who plays a key supporting role as the village healer. Singh brings depth and authenticity to her character, providing a strong counterbalance to Wagh’s Meera. Her portrayal is both grounded and intense, adding layers of mystique and wisdom to the story. In the opening moments of Sweet Tooth’s very first episode, a deadly pandemic spreads and a new species of human-animal hybrids emerges. Over the course of the series, the third and concluding season of which is now streaming on Netflix, a crumbling society searches for answers, including to one very big question: Which came first, the hybrids or the virus? You know, your mind plays tricks on you and slowly makes you part of its nasty game. It fades out the thin line between what’s real and what’s not and compels you to put your trust in your delusions. That is what happened with Aditya Singh, who was slowly pushed to the brink of madness because he couldn’t find a cure for the illness. His wife, Rani, had been exposed to the H5G9 virus, and Singh had been trying to come up with different vaccines to cure her, but unfortunately, none of them worked. He even extracted a special “sauce” from the hybrid’s head, which temporarily made the virus dormant inside the host’s body. But Rani, being a faithful Hindu, soon realized that she couldn’t go on killing innocent children for her own survival, and that’s why she wanted Singh to stop...

It’s just the cruelty of a few that makes the entire human race monsters. “I am the most superior species on Earth, and I have the right to take it all,” is what drives this destructive tendency. But Sweet Tooth teaches us that humanity can not only survive but thrive by being compassionate towards each other, and yes, that includes all living beings. I actually started the finale season believing I would find answers to mysteries around the hybrids and the sick, but I was wrong. I was wrong in my approach. Sweet Tooth isn’t about all those conspiracies; instead, it is about the connections we make on our journey toward death and how we keep those friendships alive through stories. So, in a way, Sweet Tooth’s ending is all about Gus’ friendship with Big Man and how he kept it alive till the very end of it.

One of Netflix’s secret keys to success has been letting shows embrace their darkest elements. The overly managed shows that feel studio-noted to death always seem to fall flat. Yet Sweet Tooth has never really faced that problem. Very few shows can get away with the tone this comic-book adaptation cultivated in Season 1 or Season 2. Placing its story in the apocalypse and having an adult man protect a younger protagonist with special capabilities has rightfully drawn comparisons to The Last of Us. However, there’s something so endearing about Sweet Tooth that by the end of the final season, it has earned a place in Netflix’s Pantheon of great shows.

Even before the third and final season of "Star Trek: Picard" finished airing on Paramount+ in 2023, showrunner Terry Matalas was speaking openly about wanting to make a spinoff called "Star Trek: Legacy." The third season of "Picard" was far better than the previous two seasons, and Trekkies began to excitedly speculate about its continuation, constructing entire pitch packets in their minds.
The final episode of "Picard" saw the U.S.S. Titan-a rechristened as the Enterprise-G, with Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) serving as its captain. Raffi (Michelle Hurd), her ex-girlfriend, was her first officer, and Picard's son Jack (Ed Speleers) had been rushed through Starfleet Academy so that he could serve as an ensign. It seemed like the setting and premise for "Legacy" was firmly in place.

As Arjun Varain Singh’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan approaches its climax, Imaad Ali (Siddhant Chaturvedi), a stand-up comedian, discloses a poignant reality about his life to his open mic audience, a bitter reality that he has concealed from both his friends, Ahana (Ananya Panday), and Neil (Adarsh Gourav). The revelation is so touching that it is challenging to hold back tears. However, I hoped the film would feature more of such moments, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the challenges faced by the three close friends who are in their twenties throughout the narrative. No doubt there are ample genuine moments that weave a poignant tale mirroring the trials and tribulations of the millennials attempting to find their footing in a world driven by digital validation. Yet amid their uncertainties and yearnings, a subtle artificiality lingers like a thin veil, preventing us from plunging into the characters’ lives...

That unbelievably epic three-minute Pepsi commercial you surely remember from the early 2000’s where Britney, Pink, and Beyoncé at their full-on fiercest joined forces to commandeer the ancient Roman amphitheater with a diva-liciously badass riff on Queen’s “We Will Rock You”… yeah, you don’t actually remember that.
The fond impressions were planted later, Blade Runner-style, by online fandom — because what should have been herstory’s greatest Super Bowl ad of all time never actually aired in America!

Match #1: Eddie Edwards def. Frankie Kazarian The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
After being unable to coexist as a tag team, Eddie Edwards and Frankie Kazarian renew their rivalry! Eddie distracts the referee, allowing Alisha to deliver a tornado Ddt to Kazarian on the outside. Moments later, Alisha clubs Kazarian in the back and the distraction gives Edwards an opportunity to strike. Kazarian bounces back with a slingshot Ddt on the hardest part of the ring. Kazarian almost puts Eddie away with his signature springboard leg drop. Eddie goes for the Blue Thunder Bomb but Kazarian counters into a pinning predicament for two. Eddie connects with a Tiger Driver but it’s not enough to keep Kazarian down.

When Anil Sharma’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was released 22 years ago on the same day as Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan, it was dismissed even before Day 1 as the less appealing film. Lagaan was far more sophisticated and it had Aamir Khan in the lead.
But Gadar with Sunny Deol at his seething summit, went on to become a bigger success than Lagaan in spite of all odds.
22 years later as it comes to us with enhanced sound and visual quality it is not difficult to see why Gadar scored over Lagaan. It is a persuasively dramatic film filled with sound and fury signifying many deeprooted links between the cinema of nationalism and the excitable public.
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is a mammoth pre-Partition melodrama where Sunny Deol sets off across the border to bring his wife Ameesha Patel back from Pakistan. It is actually inspired by a 1999 superhit Punjabi...

Embattled daytime show “This Morning” is advertising for a new producer.
The job, which pays £40,000 to £50,000 per year, is unrelated to the recent fall-out from the Phillip Schofield scandal. “It’s to replace someone who was promoted and has been live for some weeks,” says a source.
ITV is looking for a producer who “thrives on the buzz” of live television and has an “abundance of ideas” to support anchor Holly Willoughby and guest hosts including Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, according to the job description, which is currently live on LinkedIn.
“This Morning” was rocked by the resignation of Willoughby’s longtime co-host Phillip Schofield last month, following tension between the two anchors. Schofield subsequently revealed that he had had an affair with a young runner on the show, whom he’d known since the runner was a teenager.

New Delhi, June 8 (Ians) While alcohol is known to damage the liver, less activity coupled with high intake of carb and fat food is silently driving an epidemic of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in India, said experts here on the occasion of International Nash Day on Thursday.
Fatty liver disease of two types: If there is fat, but no damage to the liver, the disease is called nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (Nafld). If you have fat in your liver plus signs of inflammation and liver cell damage, then it is called nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (Nash).
Speaking to Ians, Dr. N Murugan, Hepatologist and Transplant Physician, Apollo Hospitals said: “Nash is among the fastest-growing reasons for liver transplants across many developed and developing nations. It is known as a silent liver disease because most often there are no obvious symptoms.”

New Delhi, June 8 (Ians) The Supreme Court on Thursday sought response from the Uttar Pradesh government on a plea by an octogenarian man seeking bail in a milk adulteration case, in which he was convicted nearly four decades ago.
A vacation bench of Justices Aniruddha Bose and Rajesh Bindal queried counsel, representing the petitioner Virendra Singh, to explain the reasons for delay in filing the appeal. Counsel agreed that there was a ten-year delay challenging the high court order and pointed out that it was not intentional as his client was residing at a different address as per the record.
Counsel submitted that his client got to know about the high court order when he was asked to surrender in the month of April following a non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him by the trial court.

A major part of the fun of the multiverse-related stories is to see the limitless possibilities when it comes to characters—putting them into various settings, modes, timelines, and roles to explore through a plethora of iterations of the same basic traits. Not only does it provide the artistic freedom to work out various combinations and the chance to break free from a rigid mold, but it also keeps the said characters or archetypes relevant by prioritizing universality. Sony’s Into the Spider-Verse broke new ground while showing the multiverse in a unique way by bringing together seven different Spider-Characters, and the recently released sequel to it, Across the Spider-Verse, raised the stakes manifold by showcasing literally hundreds of new Arachnoid superheroes swinging on screen. All with their unique animation style, some returning ones retaining the past touch while some entirely new characters who don’t even have a comic-book origin yet,...

This article contains Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse spoilers
Sony is giving the Marvel Cinematic Universe a run for its money, and much like there’s no stopping the ever-expanding multiverse, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has weaved a complex web of Spider-People into the lives of Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld).
While Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (Ssu) struggles to find where it fits alongside the MCU, Across the Spider-Verse brings us one step closer to a unified Spider-Family. We’re a far cry from those feuds between Disney and Sony – where it looked like Tom Holland’s wall-crawling hero would be annexed – but that doesn’t mean both sides are quite agreeing on everything.

Giving us more realities than Everything Everywhere All at Once, Across the Spider-Verse was a whistle-top tour of the various Earths. Alongside fan-favorites like the Lego...

New Delhi, June 5 (Ians) The father of a 17-year-old wrestler, who levelled sexual harassment charges against Wrestling Federation of India (Wfi) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, on late Sunday asserted that he has not withdrawn the charges.
Speaking to Ians, the father of the victim asserted that whatever is running on social media regarding the “withdrawal” of their statement (on the charges) is fake.
“We stood by our statement and I am out of the station and neither in Delhi nor Haryana,” he said, seeking to end the spreading speculations on the issue.
Two days ago, farmers and representatives of Khap panchayats (community courts) gave the Centre an ultimatum to arrest Singh by June 9 or prepare for a larger protest.
A collective and unanimous decision in this regard was taken at the ‘mahapanchayat’ held in Haryana’s Kurukshetra town on the future strategy of wrestlers’ protest.

This article discusses major spoilers for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse."
Imagine you're an everyday citizen living in the biggest city in the Marvel world. You wake up, head out to grab some coffee, and make idle chitchat with your neighbors while minding your own business. Suddenly, you glimpse some brightly-colored figure swooping overhead and pay it absolutely no mind. It's just Spider-Man, likely on his way to save the day once again.
Every world in the Spider-Verse has its own spin on this typical series of events, from Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) in the Earth-1610 universe to Peter B. Parker's (Jake Johnson) Earth-616 to Gwen Stacy's (Hailee Steinfeld) colorful and impressionistic Earth-65. But while the broad strokes remain the same -- there's always a Spider-Person bitten by that radioactive spider, living in the big city, and protecting the people from all sorts of threats -- the details diverge in strange and unpredictable ways.

New York, June 1 (Ians) A 17-year-old Indian-origin student in Missouri has won the prestigious Regeneron Young Scientist Awards of $50,000 for his research relating to the mpox virus.
Saathvik Kannan of David H. Hickman High School in Columbia was awarded for using biocomputational methods to understand the causes of heightened infectivity in the disease mpox after it re-emerged in 2022.
Saathvik’s approach, named Bioplex, uses a combination of machine learning and three-dimensional comparative protein modeling to decode structures like those that enable the mpox virus to replicate.
This allowed him to identify the mutations in the virus that likely made it more infectious as well as other mutations that could make it resistant to antibiotics.
He credited his mentor, Kamlendra Singh, an assistant professor of veterinary pathobiology at the University of Missouri.
“I was overjoyed and incredibly excited!” Saathvik wrote in an email to the Columbia Daily Tribute about the prize.

New Delhi, May 31 (Ians) A day after the top Indian wrestlers threatened to discard their medals in river Ganga at Haridwar, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday said that the grapplers should wait for Delhi Police to conclude their investigation into the allegations against the outgoing Wrestling Federation of India (Wfi) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Sony Group Corporation senior executives Thursday delivered a resoundingly robust exposition of their hardware-plus-software business mix, of continuing to grow Sony’s position in entertainment and acceleration of a strategy to address a diverse, globalized marketplace.
Speaking at Sony’s annual corporate strategy day presentation, chairman and CEO Yoshida Kenichiro gave an almost Biblical explanation of the group’s origins. The Sony name, he said, is an extrapolation of the word ‘sound.’ One possible implication: in the beginning was the word.
The corporation’s present is a hybrid, six division structure with entertainment functions music, games and pictures making up three of the six.
The group’s future, he said, will be shaped by amassing and exploiting more intellectual property, more cross pollination between business units and by big bets on India. The South Asian colossus is not only now the world’s most populous nation, it is young and creative in Sony’s eyes.
