Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi takes you to pre-independence Lahore, where tawaifs, or courtesans, each have their own story to tell. They’re adorned in beautiful attire with ghungroos (ankle bells), jhumkas (earrings), and exquisite sarees, presenting themselves to lure nawabs and British officers. But you can tell that this glamour is only for show; what about their own happiness? What happens if they can’t fulfill their purpose as a courtesan? It’s a tale of shame and despair. In the grand Shahi Mahal of Heeramandi, Mallikajaan reigns supreme, and her sister Waheeda lives a life of misery. She’s been nothing but a slave to her sister and has tolerated torture and humiliation all her life, but she still believes in false promises. Sanjeeda Sheikh’s portrayal of Waheeda’s character makes you feel her pain; her life feels like a lie, without any real purpose. She’s constantly searching for meaning.

A disturbing footage shared on X shed light on the true extent of Rollins’ toughness and resilience.

Having been released all the way back in 1989, the television series Baywatch quickly became a pop culture phenomenon despite constantly receiving negative reviews from critics. The series went on till 2001 and almost two decades later inspired the namesake 2017 film starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Unfortunately, the film received negative critical reviews even though it was considered a commercial success.
Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in Baywatch (2017)
As if the negative reviews weren’t enough, the film went on to become an object of ridicule when it was nominated at the 38th Golden Raspberry Awards or the Razzies. However, Dwayne Johnson was quick to turn the mockery around as he took to social media to gracefully accept the award on the film’s behalf.

WWE Monday Night Raw kicked off this week by addressing The Rock’s challenge from SmackDown. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins focused on taking down The People’s Champion, which also came with a big announcement.
Rollins hurt his knee in a match against Jinder Mahal on the Jan. 15 episode of WWE Raw. He was in pain after a move landed awkwardly.

Still, Rollins managed to finish the match and retain his championship by pinning Mahal. However, due to his injury, the 37-year-old had to skip some live events.
Now, he has received full medical clearance. He confirmed his appearance on SmackDown this week to confront the Bloodline, stating he’s prepared and ready for action.
Despite facing an injury, Rollins is determined to confront Johnson and his cousin alongside Cody Rhodes, showing his refusal to take the easier path.

Match #1: #DIY def. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio & Jd McDonagh The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Looking for a monumental win, #DIY took on The Judgment Day’s “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and Jd McDonagh. Mysterio and McDonagh employed a wide variety of underhanded tactics, using the referee to hit cheap shots and to prevent Johnny Gargano from tagging Tommaso Ciampa. The two teams put on a show, with the North Little Rock WWE Universe chanting “This is Awesome.” Gargano and Ciampa sealed the win by blasting McDonagh with Meeting in the Middle.

Even The Rock gets the smackdown laid on him every now and then…But at least he has a good sense of humor about it. In a surprise appearance on the New Year’s Day episode of WWE Raw, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took the ring to stop Superstar Jinder Mahal in his tracks and drop The People’s Elbow on the dud that was Baywatch.
After his entrance music blared through the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, The Rock entered the ring and confronted Mahal, telling him straight up, “Nobody likes you, and you’re not funny,” laying a fantastic self-own on one of his big screen stinkers by adding, “As a matter of fact, if you were one of the Rock’s movies, you would probably be Baywatch,” getting a huge reaction from the crowd and chuckle from the commentators. Jeremy Hirsch recently teamed with the Mahal Empire on the production of the sci-fi horror film, Alien Storm starring Tom Arnold and Kevin Sorbo.
There is a long list of horror films that Jeremy Hirsch has been associated with and it’s an impressive list. Alien Storm synopsis:
Frank McConnelly is a loving father and husband, a brilliant businessman, and a secret doomsday prepper. To celebrate taking his company public, Frank is putting on the party of the year in his Las Vegas Mansion. Match #1: Ilja Dragunov def. Trick Williams The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Mad Dragon returned to the ring in grand fashion as he took it right to one of the most athletic Superstars in Nxt, Trick Williams. Williams came out incredibly confident landing a few early strikes, but Dragunov responded in kind with his aggressive style. The two Superstars continued to thrash each other with clubbing blows, but a top rope attempt from Dragunov went awry as Williams knocked him to the outside. Jd McDonagh appeared at ringside and joined the commentary team, seemingly trying to intimidate The Mad Dragon, but it was to no avail as Dragunov rallied, set a dazed Williams up in the corner, and nailed Torpedo Moscow to secure the win.

eOne Making TV Adaptation Of Janice Hallet’s ‘The Twyford Code’
eOne is prepping an adaptation of Janice Hallett’s The Twyford Code – the first fruits of the studio’s deal with BAFTA-winning writer-director Paul Andrew Williams. The book is written via automatic transcriptions of recordings made by a former prisoner determined to discover what happened to his teacher. eOne will co-produce with former Sky Studios drama boss Cameron Roach’s Rope Ladder Fiction, with Williams directing and eOne handling global rights. “Janice Hallett’s ingenious second novel has rightly gained a fanbase of epic proportions,” said Sharon Hughff, eOne’s Creative Director, Scripted Television, UK. Deadline revealed eOne’s deal with Williams last year and the Broadchurch director is forging scripted TV shows for all platforms.

Match #1: Dijak def. Tony D’Angelo The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Don of Nxt Tony D’Angelo and Dijak delivered a brutal and hard-hitting affair in their matchup. The Superstars fought inside and outside the ring, with Dijak at one point tossing D’Angelo into Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, only for The Don to pop right up and hit a crushing spear. Dijak later managed to handcuff Lorenzo to the ring post, neutralizing him as a threat, but his High Justice chokeslam wasn’t enough for the win. Lorenzo wanted to sacrifice himself for D’Angelo, but The Don refused his efforts and took a big boot to the face that gave Dijak the win.

Match #1: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – The Usos def. The New Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With history on the line, The New Day were hoping to keep hold of their record run as tag team champions, and they brought everything they had to the titleholders. The Usos isolated Kofi Kingston from Xavier Woods, not allowing Kingston to tag him in. When Kingston eventually tagged in Woods, the former King of the Ring was a house on fire, almost capturing the titles after a flurry of offense. A huge top-rope leg drop from Woods nearly sealed the deal, but Jimmy kicked out at 2.9 repeating. The Usos had a heart-pounding moment of their own, as Woods kicked out of a massive Double Uso Splash.
