For a film series built on smoke, mirrors, and sleight of hand, the Now You See Me movies have always placed great emphasis on the chaos and charisma of the illusionists. At the center of this magical maelstrom is one character. Someone who, let’s be honest, could never really pull rabbits out of hats without a bit of snooty self-praise: J. Daniel Atlas.
We have Dominic Sessa’s recent remarks to thank for officially shattering the illusion and confirming the long-standing suspicions. The franchise’s frontrunner is not just a brilliant magician, he’s a full-blown diva!
Jesse Eisenberg’s Atlas in the Now You See Me films was always magical with a pinch of narcissism

The Now You See Me movie franchise, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco, introduced fans to some wonderful magic tricks, incorporating sleight of hand, masterful deception, and a play on elements in our surroundings. These tricks, clubbed with detailed heist plans, made Now You See Me one of the most loved film franchises of recent times.
Jesse Eisenberg, who is known for his roles in films like Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Social Network, surprised the audience with a new avatar in Now You See Me. While some might argue that his character reeked of a similar ‘nasal-sounding-snobby-man’ trait as his previous roles, the newness of Danny came with his playing card flourish.

Ahead of the film’s November launch, here’s the first trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, aka Now You See Me 3.
After taking what seemed like an age to finally come together, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is coming this year, and now we have a trailer to prove it. The film reunites Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman, while joining the action this time are Justice Smith, Rosamund Pike and Ariana Greenblatt.
It looks like we’ve got an echo of Jurassic Park: Dominion's set-up here with both a legacy team – The Four Horsemen – and a new team of young magicians also making a name for themselves using illusion-based trickery.
The trailer suggests that Eisenberg’s character seems estranged from his former crew , and is instead working with a younger group of illusionists to nick an...

Now You See Me debuted way back in 2013 and took the audience by surprise with its incredible heist-thriller storyline and adrenaline-packed pacing. The success of the first film led to a sequel in 2016, but since then, the franchise has remained dormant.
Now, almost a decade since it was announced, the threequel, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, is finally set to release at the end of this year. Bringing back the Four Horsemen, fans are elated to have them back, but there is also disappointment among fans over the absence of Mark Ruffalo in the recently released trailer.

Hal Ashby left a lasting legacy, influencing modern filmmakers such as Cameron Crowe, Wes Anderson, and Alexander Payne, among others. His best work came out in the 1970s and is defining of the cinematic style of American movies from that decade. Since Payne’s “The Holdovers” takes place in 1970, it’s only natural for it to take notes from Ashby’s comedy-dramas. But, it goes further than emulating the visual palette of those movies, providing thematic and characteristic similarities. Tipping his hat to the master, Alexander Payne created one of the best comedy-dramas of recent years.
Ashby delved into other genres too, but he is best known for his comedy-dramas like “Harold & Maude,” “The Last Detail,” “Shampoo,” and “Being There.” Illustrating the counterculture movement of the time in an introspective manner, the social satire of these movies has stood the test of time. Lionsgate surprised New Yorkers and fans nationwide this morning by giving away $250,000 in digital payments as part of a jaw-dropping Times Square stunt celebrating the trailer debut of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.
Residents and tourists alike were met with a massive digital billboard flashing the words “Now You See Me,” a live countdown clock, and a mysterious phone number, inviting them to text or call for a surprise.
As the countdown hit zero, the billboard flipped to reveal: “Now You Don’T” and fans received a surprise text with the brand-new trailer – and instant cash prizes, courtesy of The Horsemen.
Franchise newcomers Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Dominic Sessa joined the magic in person to help stage the visual “heist” in the heart of Times Square.
The stunt was designed to capture the spirit of magic and mischief that the franchise is known for.

Somehow, it's been almost a decade since our favourite band of criminally talented magicians, The Four Horsemen, last rode out in Jon M. Chu's 2016 heist sequel Now You See Me 2. Now, in the year of our Lord 2025, Venom and Uncharted director has brought the band — J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher), and Jack Wilder (Dave Franco) — back together for ingeniously titled threequel Now You See Me: Now You Don't. And for their next trick, the Horsemen are enlisting a new generation of illusionists (Dominic Sessa! Ariana Greenblatt! Justice Smith!) to nab a whopping diamond and help take down a Rosamund Pike led criminal enterprise using the power of magic. And you can check out the splendidly silly, spellbinding trailer below:
"It is very good to be back!" declares Eisenberg's rizz wizard J. Daniel Atlas at the top of this flashy first trailer for Fleischer's film.

The Four Horsemen are back for more card-counting, sleight-of-hand trickery, and cinema has officially been saved. Okay, that might be exaggerating a bit, but the third entry in the "Now You See Me" franchise has certainly been a long time coming. Not only have the decision-makers caved to fan pressure by subtitling the movie with something as amusing as "Now You Don't," but they've brought back our favorite quartet of magic-obsessed rogues ... and, this time, they're not alone.
It's been almost a full decade since the last "Now You See Me" movie arrived in theaters, but our Robin Hood-like heroes appear none the worse for wear. After years of struggling to get another sequel off the ground, Lionsgate has just released a new trailer that seems perfectly aware of its own production history. What else would you call Jesse Eisenberg's showman J. Daniel Atlas kicking off the footage from...

If you made it a tradition of watching The Holdovers every Christmas because you can't get enough of it, you will be happy to know that Miramax feels the same way. In a new report, Variety reveals that the production company is looking to transform several of its biggest titles into TV shows or limited series. One of them is the Oscar-winning comedy/drama, which first debuted in theaters in late 2023.
Since The Holdovers is in early development, there are not many details about the adaptation just yet. However, head of Miramax Jonathan Glickman wants director Alexander Payne (The Descendants) to be involved in the production. The reason why he wants that is very simple, as he stated:
“You need to have some connective tissue with the original property. It gives legitimacy to a project so it doesn’t seem like just a cash grab.”

A24 has officially announced its posthumous Anthony Bourdain biopic, titled Tony. The Holdovers‘ breakout star Dominic Sessa has been confirmed to star in the titular role, with Antonio Banderas also being cast in an undisclosed role.
Matt Johnson (BlackBerry) is set to direct from a screenplay co-written by Todd Bartels and Lou Howe, according to Variety. Tony will be set in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1976, approximately two years before a 20-year-old Bourdain graduated from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA).
This marks the second time Bourdain’s life has been brought to the screen. In 2005, his exposé/memoir on the culinary industry, Kitchen Confidential, was adapted into a sitcom starring Bradley Cooper.
A posthumous documentary, Roadrunner, was released in 2021 and used AI technology to deepfake Bourdain’s voice as the narrator of the film.
A release date for Tony has yet to be revealed.

The third installment in the Now You See Me series has been officially titled. During Lionsgate's CinemaCon presentation, the studio unveiled Now You See Me: Now You Don't as the official title for the next entry in the heist thriller franchise.
The Now You Don't subtitle comes roughly a decade after fans wanted it for the 2016 sequel Now You See Me 2, also marketed as Now You See Me: The Second Act. While Now You See Me 2 director Jon M. Chu revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the title was discussed for the sequel, it was ultimately rejected due to being "really long" and "confusing." Now You See Me: Now You Don't is a reference to the common idiom of the same name, which is often uttered during games like peek-a-boo or magic tricks.
Now You See Me 4 Also Announced
Per Deadline, Lionsgate also announced Now You See Me 4 during its CinemaCon presentation.

Lionsgate just pulled off a bit of movie magic at CinemaCon. The studio officially unveiled the title for the third film in its hit Now You See Me franchise: Now You See Me: Now You Don’t — although not using this title earlier in the saga remains something of a crime.
