Tim Wonnacott has been eliminated from 'Strictly Come Dancing' tonight (19.10.14). The antiques expert, 64, has become the latest celebrity to be given the boot from the Ballroom and Latin competition after he and his professional partner Natalie Lowe lost the dance-off against Mark Wright. The 'Bargain Hunt' host and his stunning partner performed their Paso Doble to 'Simply the Best' by Tina Turner but failed to wow the judges with the aggressive routine as Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood unanimously chose to save the reality TV star and his partner Karen Hauer. Tim Wonnacott and his professional partner Natalie Lowe are the third couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing.
The Bargain Hunt expert and Lowe found themselves in the dance-off alongside Mark Wright and Karen Hauer.
The bottom two acts were decided through a combination of viewer votes and judges' scores.
Wonnacott and Lowe performed their paso doble to Tina Turner's 'Simply the Best', while Wright and Hauer danced a quickstep to 'Tiger Feet' by Mud.
Wright's quickstep originally earned him a score of 29 during yesterday's (October 18) show, while Wonnacott's performance got him a 19.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Darcey Bussell both took the decision to save Wright and Hauer, with Bruno Tonioli sealing their fate.
"The white knight won the challenge," Tonioli stated.
Wonnacott said: "It's a great treat to be on a programme like Strictly. For an old geezer like me - who comes along in his 64th year and he's slightly portly,...

Tim Wonnacott has said that Strictly Come Dancing viewers should not dismiss older contestants as serious contenders.
At 63, the Bargain Hunt presenter is the oldest celebrity competing in the new series, which kicked off this weekend.
Wonnacott, who scored 18 out of 40 for his cha-cha, has advised fans not to rubbish his chances against the younger celebrities in the competition.

Strictly Come Dancing's Tim Wonnacott has said that his ambition is to win the competiton.
The Bargain Hunt presenter took to the dance floor with professional partner Natalie Lowe for the first time on Friday night, scoring 18 out of 40 for their cha cha.
Asked how he believes he will get on in the competition, Lowe revealed that Wonnacott "says he's dreadful", prompting him to quip: "I think I'm going to get on brilliantly actually. All the way."
He continued: "There's no point in mucking about, is there? That is the only reason to be here really. There's a socking great glittering ball up there and I think it would be very nice to take it home to Natalie. That's exactly going to be my ambition."
On which of the other 14 famous faces would be his biggest competition, the antiques expert said: "I've never looked over my shoulder, do you know what I mean?...

Severrrrrn! Sorry, we're a bit over-excited, because the very first Strictly Come Dancing live show is about to start. We've done the office sweepstake, we've slipped on our sequins and we've even gone for a bit of a spray tan, but we're not the ones who have to take to the floor to cha cha our way to victory.
That responsibility falls on the shoulders of 15 very brave (/stupid) celebrities, and the first batch will be hitting the floor tonight - Tonight - to attempt to impress the judges. But who'll soar and who'll fall as flat as their feet? We're about to find out, so join Digital Spy from 9pm as we bring you all the action from the ballroom...
21:59That's it for tonight though! Who are you loving and loathing at this early stage? Who do you think will triumph? And who are you still excited to see?...

Tim Wonnacott has spoken about his reasons for appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, revealing that he joined the show so he could learn to dance with his wife.
The antiques expert, who has presented Bargain Hunt since 2003, wants to find the dancer in him in time for his 30th wedding anniversary.
He said: "My wife has never had the opportunity to dance ballroom with me because I don't know how to do it.
"But this year is our 30th wedding anniversary and I would love to learn a few moves and unlock my inner dancer."
He also spoke about the show's dress code, revealing that he isn't all too comfortable about wearing any outrageous outfits.
"So far, from the outfits that have been produced for me to try on before starting the show, I'm very comfortable," he noted.
"They're very nice quality clothes and I'm perfectly happy in them but...

The launch of Strictly Come Dancing 2014 is now only a week away and the lineup of celebrities has been revealed in full.
Among the 15 stars are a Radio 1 DJ, three popstars, a former Towie, an EastEnder and a rugby ace. The fake tan is being slapped on and the glittery costumes are being dusted off for another year, but are you excited about this new lineup of twinkled-toed celebs?
The Strictly lineup is never exactly a who's who of Hollywood stars - Chris Hollins won the thing one year, for Christ's sake - but is a bill featuring Mark 'ITV2' Wright and former Big Brother contestant Alison Hammond a step too far down the showbiz ladder for your tastes?
Or are you excited about the prospect of a glittery Latin head-to-head between Frankie Saturday, Pixie Lott and Caroline Flack, and a ballroom battle between Simon Webbe, Thom Evans and Jake Wood?...

BBC shows which have never been adapted for Australia or have long since disappeared from our screens could be re-activated under a new co-venture between FremantleMedia Australia (Fma) and BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand.

The deal also covers Dancing With the Stars if that show is commissioned by the Seven Network or another Australian broadcaster next year.
The multi-year agreement was announced by Ian Hogg, Fma Regional CEO Australia/Asia Pacific, and Jon Penn, Managing Director of BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand.
Explaining the rationale for the alliance, the Bbcw tells If,. .BBC Worldwide owns some great entertainment formats but we do not currently have the production expertise and resource...
