Bashar Al Issa, a bankrupt Middle Eastern entrepreneur and Aoife Madden, an unemployed Irish actress join up to make feature films. Their first movie will have an almost unheard-of budget for a British film of £20m. But there’s a problem – the money never actually comes in. Undeterred, Bashar and Aoife submit £8m of production accounts to the British taxman and claim £2.5m in film tax breaks. The authorities smell a rat. They investigate, arrest, and charge the producers, and then bail them.
While out on bail, the producers decide to prove their innocence by actually making a film. They hire Paul Knight, a former nightclub bouncer, now a self-made film director, whose credits are some unreleased and unfinished films uploaded to Youtube, to make their movie for just a £100,000. The title: “A Landscape of Lies.” Paul Knight recruits an unusual cast that include one of the presenters of ITV’s daytime show Loose Women,...

Danny Young has admitted that taking on a role in new touring production Wildboyz is "unbelievably daunting". The former Coronation Street actor joins Alex Reid, Dale Howard and Marcus Patrick in the show, which has been described as 'Benidorm meets The Full Monty'. With the foursome playing exaggerated versions of themselves, Young told Digital Spy that the production will mock the current celebrity culture. "You get so many people now who go on Celebrity Coach Trip and they're suddenly a celebrity, and you think, 'f**king hell'. I've been working since I was 14. And then you've got these people coming out of certain shows taking jobs," he said. "I like that it's taking the p*ss out of yourselves. You can't take the play too serious. If you take it (more)...

Insiders have reported that Brianne Delcourt and Danny Young have split up.
The pair met on last year’s series of Dancing On Ice, after the Coronation Street star became close to the professional skater on the ITV show.
Today The Sun has reported that the pair drifted apart when they finished performing in the UK wide tour, adding that Delcourt moved out of their flat earlier this month.
“It was great seeing Brianne and Danny fall in love,” a source said. “But sadly after the tour ended they had nothing in common.”
Sources now claim that blonde beauty Delcourt is now getting close to her current partner, former EastEnders star Sam Attwater.

Dancing On Ice judge Robin Cousins looked a bit ambushed on This Morning today, when Phillip Schofield revealed that the internet forums and Twitter had been awash with angry fans, upset that he eliminated Danniella Westbrook last night.
Robin acts as head judge and last night had the deciding vote, when it came to choosing between Gary Lucy and Danniella.
“There was no contest,” Cousins told This Morning. “Gary was head and shoulders above all of them on basic skating skills… Gary’s skating skills were what took him through.
“Chris Dean spoke to me to in the corridor afterwards and he said, ‘I called it just as you did’.”
However, Cousins says that if Kieron Richardson had been in the skate off, he would have went home. He said:
“I think Kieron should probably have gone,” he added.

Daniella Westbrook can dance on ice, but she can’t skate so well….not alone anyway! As part of tonight’s Dancing On Ice required element the contestants were required to skate for at least 20 seconds on their own and after filling the first five with stationary dance moves, Danniella moved slowly around the rink with shaky legs.
Danniella scored 23, putting her at the bottom of the leaderboard so far (though Kieron Richardson is still to skate) and as Nicky said it was ’static’ and her ‘moves were tentative by comparison to some of the others.’ We weren’t loving Danniella tonight, but if you were feel free to leave your comments below.

Former Coronation Street actor Danny Young has admitted that he’d like Danniella Westbrook to win this year’s series of Dancing On Ice.
Young was eliminated from the ITV ice skating show last night and while Hayley Tamaddon is currently bookies favourite to win, Danny says he’d prefer it if Danniella scooped the title.
Speaking on This Morning Danny said:
“You become so close to everyone, but what I love about Danniella is what she stands for.
“She took a couple of knocks, but she is a fighter. She has faced a lot in a her life and has come back. I like that in a person.”
He added: “I think with this show, as we saw last night, it is not the person who you always think is going to go through, that does.”
Maybe there is more truth to these rumours than we thought!

Danny Young has become the latest celebrity to be voted off ITV’s Dancing On Ice.
After performing during the dreaded props week and being forced to skate with a bowler hat, Danny found himself in the bottom two with Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson.
Danny performed his first routine flawlessly but in the skate off had a few mishaps with his prop and ended the performance very awkwardly. As a result of these mistakes, only judge Karen Barber voted to save the former Coronation Street actor and so Kieron Richardson lives to skate another week.
After hearing that he was going home Danny said:

Ah, as we near the end of this series of Dancing On Ice, we’ve reached “Prop Week”, where the required element is for the skaters to include a prop in their routine – a mic stand, hats, and stuff like that. Torvill and Dean give us an example with a couple of cowboy hats, and worryingly, it’s quite a rough routine – it doesn’t have their usual flow or polish. Uh-oh!

On Sunday night’s Dancing On Ice, Danny Young was seen being coached by his boxing dad for his Rocky themed routine. It looked like quite a heartfelt moment, full of family bonding but the scenes have prompted complaints to ITV after some suggest that Danny’s dad isn’t quite as nice as he seems.

Hello Dancing On Ice fans! Last week we lost Sharron Davies after she ignored the advice of the verable Messrs Torvill and Dean. We hope her shoulder is recovering Only 7 skating couples remain – and with most of the weaker competition eliminated at this point, will Emily Atack finally fall foul of the public vote.
But first, this week’s Hollywatch – she’s wearing a glamorous frock as usual, but it looks like the dress has slipped down about four inches from where it should be. Not that I’m complaining, ladies and gentlemen, I’m a big supporter of Holly’s cleavage…
The show is opened by a beautiful routine by Torvill and Dean with music provided by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Katherine Jenkins. They’re joined by the professional skaters waving flowing white flags.

Dancing On Ice star Danny Young has revealed that he would love to land a part in EastEnders. The 23-year-old, who first found fame by playing Warren Baldwin on Coronation Street, explained that he hopes to move back into acting once he completes work on the ITV1 skating show. Young told Closer: "I would love to give soaps another go. EastEnders would be good as I'm a massive fan. "People say I would be better suited to EastEnders because of my Essex accent. I'd love to get back into TV acting. (more)...

Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner has tipped Emily Atack as next to be voted off the ITV show.
In his column for The Sun Gardiner said: “[She] should be next to go. She has not once given any sort of a performance. She’s just got one safe level and never raises her game.”
However, Emily wasn’t the only contestant who failed to impress Gardiner. He didn’t much like Danny Young’s routine on Sunday night either.
He said: “[Danny] can’t sustain a performance. Rock ‘n’ roll must be sharp, clean and dynamic, particularly in the lifts. But his were laboured. He needed his big muscles, but it turned out they’re all for show.”

Dancing On Ice contestant Danny Young has admitted that his fans often send “saucy” messages to him on Twitter.
“I get some saucy Twitter messages, things like: ‘I can’t believe you’re single, you wouldn’t be if I bumped into you.’ It’s all good fun,” he told The Mirror.
“I’ve had a couple of naked pictures sent to me. Which is always nice on a Monday morning, gets you started for the day.”
Fellow skating star Gary Lucy admitted that he is more likely to receive a pair of granny pants than a sexy shot.
“I’ve been sent a few pairs of knickers in my time – big knickers as well, Bridget Jones granny pants. With no pictures of whoever sent them, thankfully,” he said.

Welcome to our live coverage of tonight’s Dancing On Ice show. After an amazing Valentine’s Day episode last week, we’re more than a little bit excited to see what’s on the show this week!
Hayley Tamaddon topped the scoreboard last week, but will Gary Lucy, Daniella Westbrook or Kieron Richardson catch up with her?
And on Hollywatch this week, Ms Willoughby is wearing what looks like a bodice with a dress tacked on. Very sexy. And Torvill and Dean give another effortlessly graceful opening to the show. Tonight’s guest judge – in case you care – is former newsreader Angela Rippon.

Coleen Nolan has claimed that Emma Bunton treated Dr Hilary Jones too harshly on Dancing On Ice last night. In yesterday's instalment of the ITV1 show, judge Bunton claimed that the real competition could not begin while Jones was a contestant. Jones was later voted off the programme after competing against actor Danny Young in the skate-off. Nolan, who fronts spinoff Dancing On Ice Friday, told The Mirror: "I'm not surprised Dr Hilary is out, I'm actually a bit relieved (more)...

Dr. Hilary Jones has become the sixth celebrity to get the boot from 'Dancing On Ice'. The 56-year-old 'GMTV' doctor -the oldest celebrity ever to take part in the ITV1 show - was voted out after he landed in the skate-off for the first time against 'Coronation Street's Danny Young. After the pair reprised their routines, the judges voted unanimously to save Danny - the second time he has survived a skate-off. Hilary admitted: ''To be honest I think my time has come this evening. The standard of the competition this year is so very, very high. It's been terrific, everyone has helped me.'' ..

Somehow, in a bid to make the Sunday-evening-eating monster that is Dancing On Ice even more unpalatable, ITV have chosen to hire Michael Ball to replace Robin Cousins. The five-person judging team was overloaded anyway – I’d have been happy to have a four-person panel and more of Jason Gardiner’s classic spiteful comments!
Anyway, we’re covering Dancing On Ice live tonight – this post will have judge’s comments, a scoreboard and some of my own commentary on each act. Enjoy! And leave loads of comments!

Dr Hilary Jones has become the sixth celebrity to be voted off this series of Dancing On Ice. After the judges' scores and viewers' votes had been added together, the GMTV doctor and his professional partner Alexandra Schauman found themselves in the skate-off alongside Danny Young and Frankie Poultney. Both couples then had to repeat their routines in an attempt to persuade judges Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton and Michael Ball to keep them in the competition. Following his performance, Jones said: "I think my time has come this evening. You know, the standard of competition this year has been so very, very high. Dr Hilary Jones has become the sixth celebrity to be voted off ITV’s Dancing On Ice.
It was a foregone conclusion that Dr J would leave as soon as he ended up in the bottom two. The judges weren’t likely to save him after Emma Bunton previously blasted:
“The competition can’t start until you leave!”
The TV medic found himself in the skate-off alongside former Corrie actor Danny Young. Danny skated competently as always, perhaps he lacked a bit of personality but he still beat Dr Jones hands down.
The judges were unanimous in their decision to save Danny and on hearing the news Hilary said:
“It’s been terrific fun. I loved being part of it all and I love all the guys I’ve skated with. It’s a wonderful, wonderful show!”

"Up" from Disney/Pixar won the top honor at the 37th Annual Annie Awards. The fantastic film received the Best Animated Feature Award beating out "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs," "Coraline," "Fantastic Mr. Fox," "The Princess and the Frog," and "The Secret of Kells."
(Check my interview with Annie Award-winner Pete Docter for "Up" held at Pixar Animation Studios right here)
Walt Disney Animation took home six other Annies including three for "The Princess and the Frog" and three for its television production "Prep and Landing."
Created in 1972 by veteran voice talent June Foray, the Annie Awards is considered the highest and most prestigious honor given in animation by the animation industry.
The Annie Awards is also a great predictor of the annual Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. So yes, "Up" will win that category at the Oscars!

Only ten celebs left on Dancing On Ice to show us how good – or bad – they’ve become at skating since the series started. Torvill and Dean work their usual magic to a version of Use Somebody sung by Pixie Lott. It’s almost unfair having two champions come along and set a high standard of skating, then throwing the unfortunate and often uncoordinated celebrities on to follow them. But we love it.
Tonight’s required element is a ‘pair spin’ where both skaters revolve on the ice – they must do two revolutions with one leg raised, which looks like an elegant move, if it can be done correctly! Phillip Schofield introduces the judges – making a subtle reference to the tabloid storm that Jason Gardiner caused last week when he likened Olympic swimmer Sharon Davies to fecal matter. All eyes will be on the white-toothed one to see if he repeats that performance tonight,...

Tana Ramsay has become the fourth contestant to be voted off ITV’s Dancing On Ice.
Although she achieved her best scores date, Tana found herself in tonight’s skate off against former Coronation Street actor Danny Young.
Tana flailed around the ice and was at least half a beat behind every move her partner Stuart made. She was ungainly when going in and out of lifts and it was no shock when all the judges voted to save Danny and Frankie.
We were hoping that Tana would last another week or two and that tonight would see Emily Atack going home. But we think the revealing red costume saved her tonight! Do you think Tana deserved to go? Leave your comments below.
