Paramount+ is breaking up with two recent additions to its roster by canceling the Kiefer Sutherland spy drama Rabbit Hole and Fatal Attraction, starring Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan. Paramount+ is in slash-and-burn mode, with the company removing titles as a cost-cutting measure.
“We want to thank both series’ entire creative teams, crews and the fantastic casts for their dedication to bringing these series to life,” said the Paramount+ spokesperson. “Both Fatal Attraction and Rabbit Hole will continue to be available on Paramount+ for audiences to discover.”
Rabbit Hole and Fatal Attraction join Paramount‘s other canceled series, including Real World: Homecoming, The Twilight Zone, Interrogation, Coyote, No Activity, Guilty Party, and The Harper House. Kiefer Sutherland is ready to go on down the Rabbit Hole again but is not sure where Paramount+ stands on picking up the series for a second season.
In a new interview, the actor opened up about wanting to do a second season of the series created by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra.
“I absolutely adored working on the show, and I absolutely love John and Glenn and their process, and I just absolutely love the cast,” he told TV Insider in an interview. “It was an extraordinary group of people, and we had an awful lot of fun working, and yeah, I hope we get to do it again.”
Sutherland has no idea if Paramount+ is renewing the series and shared his thoughts on the difference between working on a show for a network and a streamer.

The good news is that if there isn’t a second season of Rabbit Hole, the first didn’t leave us completely hanging. The bad news is that we do have quite a few questions after the finale. For instance: Who is John (Kiefer Sutherland) moving forward after everything he’s been through? Can he trust Hailey (Meta Golding)? Can this new team work together? What other secrets is Ben (Charles Dance) hiding? Who was on the other end of that in-ear comm Ben took off the (supposedly) dead Crowley? But will there be a second season? Executive producers, writers, and directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra want one and have ideas, but when TV Insider spoke with them, they could only say they were thinking about doing one, though they couldn’t say more with the ongoing writers’ strike. Sutherland certainly wants to do more. “I absolutely adored working on the show,...

This article contains spoilers for all eight episodes of Rabbit Hole.
Rabbit Hole, airing on Paramount+, is an exciting addition to the streaming service, especially if you’re looking for something that isn’t written or created by Taylor Sheridan under the Paramount umbrella. Kiefer Sutherland plays John Weir, a private contractor adept at corporate espionage, who more than often finds himself merely creating lies for his clients for them to get what they want.
He and his firm are adept at creating deception and aren’t necessarily concerned about whose lives they might ruin in the process. When his estranged childhood friend, Valence (Jason Butler Harner) hires Weir for a job involving a treasury officer, Ed Homm (Rob Yang), Weir’s entire existence is suddenly thrown upside down, as his team is killed, Valence commits suicide, and he is framed for the murder of Homm by the nefarious Crowley,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Rabbit Hole Season 1 finale “Ace in the Hole.”] While the Rabbit Hole Season 1 finale did wrap up some threads, it also left us wanting more. John (Kiefer Sutherland) has a new team and seems to have found love with Hailey (Meta Golding). He and his dad Ben (Charles Dance) are on much better terms. Crowley is dead (maybe). But there’s someone else running things, as Ben learns when he finds that in-ear comm at the end. Executive producers, writers, and directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra answer our burning questions and tease what could be next if the series is renewed. Can you confirm that was Crowley and he is dead? Because Charles Dance told me not to trust the finale and then there was that in-ear comm that Ben found and someone was on the other end… John Requa & Glenn Ficarra: That’s a tough one. Let’s...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Rabbit Hole Season 1 finale “Ace in the Hole.”] Unsurprisingly, the Rabbit Hole finale was one reveal after another. Among the big ones: John’s (Kiefer Sutherland) ex-wife is an operative; his real wife left him after his competitor kidnapped her. He, Ben (Charles Dance), Hailey (Meta Golding), and Homm (Rob Yang) do stop Crowley’s plan. But, as the finale ends, Ben, after killing Crowley, finds a comm in his ear… Sutherland does a deep dive on John at the end of the season. The first season was so good, and I need to see more with these characters. Kiefer Sutherland: Thank you so much. John [Requa] and Glenn [Ficarra] certainly did an amazing job with developing all of those characters, and they are so rich. It’s so funny, if I run into someone on the street, the first thing that they seem to talk about is, “Oh my gosh, I...

The clock is ticking in the Rabbit Hole Season 1 finale (dropping May 7 on Paramount+), but fortunately, as TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek shows, John (Kiefer Sutherland) has a plan, as he shares while he, Ben (Charles Dance), Hailey (Meta Golding), and Homm (Rob Yang) go over their next steps. “We have documented proof of a conspiracy. It’s bigger than the Pentagon Papers, Panama Papers, Pandora Papers. I could build a bulletproof case on this. Anyone could,” Homm points out. Hailey suggests they just got public, but as Ben explains, “right now, Crowley controls narrative. He’s got the media blabbing nonstop about the Evers assassination and dead judges. He’ll use fear to turn public opinion against whatever we throw out there.” But John knows how they can eventually get to that step: “We have to control the narrative first, then we can reach out to specific journalists.

During Rabbit Hole Season 1 Episode 3, you got a much better feel for two of the show's stars, Charles Dance and Meta Golding.
Dance stars as Ben, John Weir's father who set up a faux suicide so horrific that it altered the course of his son's life.
Golding stars as Hailey, a woman John had a dalliance with that turned out to be a setup of unknown origin, leaving John questioning her motives and kidnapping her to keep her from revealing something that could affect his status as a suspected murderer.
Both stars have excellent comedic timing and have been imperative in some of Rabbit Hole's most exciting scenes. They play off of each other and Kiefer Sutherland beautifully.
In our last interview from the Rabbit Hole Press Day, they share their thoughts on their characters and filming scenes that aren't always what they seem on the surface.

“Rabbit Hole” stars Kiefer Sutherland as a corporate espionage consultant who must go on the run after being framed for murder by a shadowy but powerful group, a character that is used to being on the receiving end of punches, quite unlike the character he’s best known for on “24.”
The Paramount+ series pairs Sutherland with “Crazy, Stupid Love,” “This is Us” and “WeCrashed” writer-directors John Requa and Glenn Ficarra. When they pitched him on a series that’s a throwback to ’70s conspiracy thrillers “Three Days of the Condor” and “Marathon Man” and “The Parallax View,” he was fully on board. “I’m so lucky that they called me first,” Sutherland told TheWrap ahead of the series premiere on March 26.

It's helpful that he's kidnapped his latest bedroom conquest, who was a total plant and may or may not be part of whoever is trying to bring him down.
But is anyone trying to bring him down at all? Probably. Maybe. I guess so.

Surely you didn’t expect a show titled Rabbit Hole to lay all of its cards on the table. Deception piles on deception in a conspiracy thriller for Paramount+ from Glenn Ficcara and John Requa (Bad Santa) that manages to find occasional humor in its dense patchwork of illusion. Making a welcome return to save-the-world TV, 24’s Kiefer Sutherland broods anti-heroically as John Weir, a corporate dirty-tricks specialist (“Forgive me my lack of shame”), haunted by childhood trauma, who falls into an elaborate trap that renders him an instant fugitive. In a twist reminiscent of the 1970s’ classic Three Days of the Condor, Weir drags a recent though intimate acquaintance, Hailey Winton (the terrific Meta Golding), into his web. As befits the genre, she may be seemingly innocent but ...

There's no denying that "Rabbit Hole," the upcoming Paramount+ series which stars Kiefer Sutherland, is a thriller with a lot of twists and turns. But what not might be as expected is that the show, created by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, has plenty of funny moments, too.
"I was expecting all of the tentpole ideas of a good thriller, but the humor was just such a bonus," Sutherland told me in a recent interview. "And it wasn't complicated gag humor where you have to figure out how to fall down three flights of stairs and then jump up with a clown nose. This is a really sophisticated, sarcastic, charming kind of humor."
That charming humor is paired with some mind-boggling twists, where almost every episode ends with reveals which completely flips the table on any assumptions you might have had about what is going on. I talked with Sutherland...

Kiefer Sutherland's new series, "Rabbit Hole," has all the requisite parts of a corporate espionage thriller. There are few shows out there, however, that — episode by episode — continually upend what the audience thinks is actually going on.
It turns out that the cast of the series was in the dark as well as to how the first season would go. When I talked with "Rabbit Hole" actors Rob Yang, Enid Graham, Meta Golding, Charles Dance, and Walt Klink in the lead-up to the show's premiere, they revealed that they didn't know how things were going to end either.
"I knew a bit about Ben's past, but very little about his future," Dance told me about his enigmatic character, Dr. Ben Wilson. "I was given bit by bit, by bit, by bit, by bit, and it's an intriguing way of working. But when you are dealing with really good writing,...

Kiefer Sutherland is trying to save the world (again). The 24 alum’s new thriller, Rabbit Hole, premieres its first two episodes Sunday, March 26 on Paramount+. Here’s what you need to do before it drops.
The series follows John Weir (played by Sutherland), who works as a spy in the world of corporate espionage. Soon, though, his mission goes international when Dr. Ben Wilson (Game of Thrones‘ Charles Dance) enlists John to “save the world,” plunging him into a world of political unrest and creepy tech surveillance.

Kiefer Sutherland secured his place as America's fictional hero with 24's Jack Bauer.
There's something about his portrayal that makes people feel comfortable imagining their life in his hands.
The new Paramount+ series Rabbit Hole will put that feeling to the test.
In Rabbit Hole, Sutherland plays John Weir, "a master of deception in the world of corporate espionage," who is "framed for murder by powerful forces who have the ability to influence and control populations."
There's a lot to unpack in that series summary, and there's even more to unpack as the series begins to unfold.
Instead of being America's hero, John Weir must deconstruct events that led to his framing.
I'm not a fan of so many twists in a series that you can't keep up or catch up to the narrative to understand what's going on. But although Rabbit Hole is jam-packed with twists and turns and turns on the twists,...

Plot: John Weir, a master of deception in the world of corporate espionage, is framed for murder by powerful forces who have the ability to influence and control populations.
Review: Kiefer Sutherland experienced a career resurgence when he played Jack Bauer on the long-running Fox series 24. As an unabashed fan of the insane, real-time thriller series, I loved Sutherland’s intense portrayal of an All-American hero who would stop at nothing to defend his country. After 24 left the air, Sutherland played a much different character in the political series Designated Survivor. Sutherland’s down-to-earth performance was consistent throughout the series, which made him an everyman character who bordered on being a superhero. Now, Kiefer is back in a new thriller show with action elements and conspiracy theories aplenty, this time on a streaming platform where he can drop copious f-bombs while still defending the United States from nefarious bad guys...

Charles Dance was never a big Twitter or Facebook user. But now that he stars in Paramount+’s new Kiefer Sutherland thriller “Rabbit Hole”? “It’s made me more determined to have absolutely nothing to do with social media at all,” he said. “I mean, I never did anyway, but I’m certainly not going to do so now!”
Paramount+’s “Rabbit Hole” stars Sutherland as John Weir, described as “a master of deception in the world of corporate espionage, is framed for murder by powerful forces who have the ability to influence and control populations.”
A packed Stateside Theatre audiences watched the first two episodes of “Rabbit Hole” at the South by Southwest festival on Sunday, and left with as many questions as they had answers. Who’s on what side? What’s going on? That’s by design, and creators/showrunners John Requa and Glenn Ficarra told the...

Brian de Palma’s “Mission: Impossible” — the first film of Paramount’s ongoing action franchise — starts with a con inside a con. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team are sent to retrieve some dangerous doodad or another, only to see the operation go very, very wrong. People die. Hunt is labeled a traitor. Only after coming face to face with the man sent to bring him — and some very fast running (the only way Cruise can) — does he manage to escape. Then he’s in the wind, left to pinpoint who betrayed him, why, and how he can clear his name.
Why am I bringing up a movie from 1996 in a review for a TV show debuting in 2023? No reason. Let’s talk about “Rabbit Hole,” the first season of Paramount’s new action series, which starts with a con inside a con. John Weir (Kiefer Sutherland) and his...

It's another action series for Kiefer Sutherland, and honestly, good for us. We know it's what he does best. The "24" alum will star in a new Paramount+ series called "Rabbit Hole" — and the thriller's second trailer has just been released.
In the sneak peek, we become immersed in another action thriller in which a spy tackles disinformation and the overarching powers of government in the throes of a fight for American democracy. The trailer does well to keep you mostly in the dark aside from the show's general gist, but it seems that will aid in the intrigue they're setting up. The first look is an intense, fast-paced thrill, so it looks like no matter what, it'll be fun to jump down the rabbit hole of "Rabbit Hole."
According to the streamer, the official synopsis reads, "Private espionage operative John Weir finds himself in the midst of a battle over...

Kiefer Sutherland returns to television in a new paranoid spy thriller from Paramount+. The Hollywood Reporter has the new details of Sutherland’s new series as a teaser gets released. The new trailer for the drama showcases the actor in familiar territory as the former 24 and Designated Survivor star is once again caught up in conspiracies where there is no clear enemy or ally and you can’t trust anyone.
Sutherland plays a character named John Weir, who has been described as a master of deception. Weir finds himself approached by a mysterious figure, played by Charles Dance of Game of Thrones, who tells him about the world he doesn’t know he’s in when he is “framed for murder by powerful forces who have the ability to influence and control populations.”

"This is not cops & robbers. The enemy is everywhere... but he can't be seen." Paramount has unveiled the official trailer for a conspiracy thriller series titled Rabbit Hole, starring Kiefer Sutherland. A private espionage operative battles over maintaining democracy in a world constantly at odds. "The deeper you go, the deadlier it gets." This will be premiering at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival next month before launching for viewing on Paramount+ later this March. Sutherland stars as John Weir, an experienced corporate spy adept at deception. A mysterious world-controlling power frames him for murder, and as Weir goes against this power, he finds himself fighting for democracy. The ensemble cast also includes Rob Yang, Charles Dance, Meta Golding, Enid Graham, Jason Butler Harner, Walt Klink, Ishan Davé, and Wendy Makkena. Ohh this definitely got my attention. I'm always down for a good conspiracy thriller, especially one with stakes as intensely vital...

And with the way things are today, doesn't everyone have just a shred milling around in there?
Paramount+ dropped the official trailer for the upcoming series starring Keifer Sutherland, and we're already hooked!
One of the promoted lines for the series is featured in the trailer.
You think you're shopping for socks. They know who you're voting for. The job's already half done.
Like many shows dealing in the vein of politics of late, Rabbit Hole suggests that someone, somewhere, is tracking every move you make to use against you or for their agenda.
Ooooh. TV can be so exciting!

Kiefer Sutherland is back and channeling some Jack Bauer vibes in his upcoming TV series.
After a mysterious teaser trailer, the official first look at Sutherland’s forthcoming Paramount+ series Rabbit Hole reveals more about the 24 hero’s next leading role.
In Rabbit Hole, launching March 26, Sutherland plays John Weir, who has been described as a master of deception who is “framed for murder by powerful forces who have the ability to influence and control populations.”
The trailer (below) sees Sutherland’s John threatening a security guard with a remote-detonated bomb and then being recruited to save the world — something the actor is familiar with after nine seasons as a counter-terrorist agent on the Fox series 24. This time, however, it’s amid a backdrop of the world of corporate espionage and global threats of technology.

Kiefer Sutherland admits he’s not feeling well and hasn’t slept for a few days in the opening seconds of Paramount+’s Rabbit Hole teaser trailer. Sutherland’s character John Weir drinks, takes pills, doesn’t trust anyone, and can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not. Deception is reality, and the enemy is everywhere. Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?
Joining Kiefer Sutherland in the eight-episode season are Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Dr. Ben Wilson, Meta Golding (Empire) as Hailey Winton, Enid Graham (Mare of Easttown) as Josephine “Jo” Madi, Jason Butler Harner (Ozark) as Valence, Rob Yang (Succession) as Edward Homm, and Walt Klink (The English) as The Intern.

Jack's back, folks! Well, okay, technically this is a completely new and different series named "Rabbit Hole" that has absolutely nothing to do with "24" and technically the character that Kiefer Sutherland is playing in this new series is named John Weir, which feels more like a play on John Wick than Jack Bauer. But when you strip all that away and look at the extremely eerie connection between the two shows -- Kiefer Sutherland is playing some guy who punches people occasionally -- then the similarities simply become too much to ignore. Also, this is where I should probably confess I've never watched an episode of "24" in my life.
In any case, Paramount Pictures has unveiled a brand-new look at their upcoming original show "Rabbit Hole." As the title suggests, it follows an operative by the name of John Weir who finds himself in the midst of an impossible situation,...

With some big news, Paramount+ kicked off the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.
We'll start with Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.
The streaming service has set an April 6 premiere date for the prequel, which takes place four years before the original movie.
