The opening show of S Club‘s long-awaited 25th-anniversary reunion tour was as much a celebration of their time together as it was a celebration of Paul Cattermole, the longtime member of the British pop group who died earlier this year from an underlying heart condition at the age of 46.
Kicking off the tour in Manchester at Ao Arena, the group — now a five-piece following the death of Cattermole in April and the departure of singer Hannah Spearrit — reunited for the first time in eight years. On stage, they took...

S Club has released their first single in 20 years in tribute to their bandmate Paul Cattermole, who died in April at the age of 46. The single, titled "These Are the Days," honors Cattermole, and the song's music video sees the band look through a photo album full of memories of their career.
The group, formerly called S Club 7 but later rebranded S Club, felt Cattermole's presence when shooting the video. "There was a butterfly. We were all sat down and a butterfly came from nowhere. It was a really bright, beautiful butterfly which flew down and went off," Tina Barrett told The Sun. "I don't know why, but I just thought, 'That's Paul.' It came from nowhere." Rachel Stevens added: "There's little signs of Paul everywhere. On the video shoot, there was a vinyl coaster and it said 'Good Times' on it.

Doja Cat has reacted to losing her blue tick on Twitter.
The social media platform is currently in the process of removing verified checkmarks from legacy accounts that won’t pay a fee of $8 for Twitter Blue.
When a fan noticed Doja Cat’s missing blue tick, telling her that “it’s over” for her, the “Woman” singer replied, saying: “Only fans have blue ticks.”
She added: “Having a blue tick now means there’s a higher chance that you’re a complete loser and that you’re desperate for validation from famous people.”
After taking over Twitter, Elon Musk announced that he was launching a “Blue” paid subscription service for users who want a blue check, and other features after an initial rollout included a wave of parody accounts posing as brands.

Country star Zach Bryan has voiced his support for the transgender community amid the transphobic backlash against Bud Light’s campaign with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Last week, veteran country artist Travis Tritt announced that he would be removing Anheuser-Busch products from his rider over the company’s partnership with Mulvaney.
Scores of videos have been shared on social media showing conservative consumers pouring away drinks owned by the company, including Budweiser and Michelob, or smashing them up.
In a tweet shared Tuesday (11 April), Bryan used Tritt’s own lyrics against him to defend the transgender community.
“I mean no disrespect towards anyone specifically, I don’t even mind @Travistritt,” the 27-year-old artist wrote.
“I just think insulting transgender people is completely wrong because we live in a country where we can all just be who we want to be. It’s a great day to be alive I thought.

Joe Lycett took aim at Rupert Murdoch during his opening monologue on Late Night Lycett on Friday (7 April).
Reports broke earlier this week that the billionaire media mogul and Ann Lesley Smith had called off their engagement just two weeks after announcing their plans to marry.
“Rupert Murdoch’s had a big week, he’s broken off his engagement,” Lycett told his live studio audience.
“People say she was only after his money but I think that’s unfair, she may have just really been turned on by a flaccid, yellow, 92-year-old c**k.”
After the audience reacted with shocked laughs at the explicit joke, Lycett responded: “What? What’s he gonna do to me?”
After a pause, he predicted: “F***ing everything”.
Murdoch, who has been married four times previously, announced his engagement to the former dental hygienist, 66, last month.

S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt has revealed she was left “homeless” due to the UK housing crisis.
The singer and actor, who had chart-topping success with the pop group from 1998 to 2003, had to sleep in a friend’s office with her partner, personal trainer Adam Thomas, and their two young children at Christmas.
In a new interview, Spearritt, 41 said they had no choice but to move after a landlord, who had given them two months to leave their rented home in South West London, brought the move date forward.
The decision left them with two days to find a new place and, after finding a short-term rental, that property’s landlord asked them to pay £6,000 up front, which Spearritt called “crazy extortionate”.

S Club 7 are reportedly being courted for a new reunion TV special.
The late 1990's and early 2000's pop group are said to be wanted by their former management company for a show to rival ITV2's The Big Reunion, The Sun reports.
19 Entertainment are allegedly putting together their own reality show with all seven members of the band, in a similar fashion to Steps' reunion for Sky Living.
It would be the first time S Club 7 have all been together since Paul Cattermole's departure in 2002.
"The Big Reunion was such an incredible success the first time round that ITV are currently signing up bands for the second series," a source said.
"S Club were very high on their list, but getting them seems to have been scuppered by this latest move.
"To be fair to 19 Entertainment, they created S Club 7 so there's no reason why...

Remember S Club 7?
We didn't, either. The UK-based pop group, which was most relevant in the late '90s and very early 2000s, is staging a comeback. You may remember them from their multiple TV shows and specials, such as "S Club 7 in Miami" and "S Club 7 in La," but they were best known for being the redheaded stepchild of Spice Girls creator Simon Fuller.
They broke up in 2003, after a minor scandal involving their film "Seeing Double." They flew to the premiere in economy class, and Fuller didn't even show up.
Now, all 7 members are on board for a reunion. Jp O'Meara, Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole have been playing clubs as S Club 3, and they'll now allegedly be joined by Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Hannah Spearritt and Rachel Stevens to promote a Greatest Hits album.
