Sylvester Stallone has lined up a feature with Stx Entertainment, the studio announced during its CinemaCon presentation on Tuesday.
Neither party would officially reveal anything about the project, although Screendaily understands Lawrence Grey will produce through Grey Matter Productions.
Stx sources confirmed to Screendaily that the project is not the mob film Scarpa, which Stallone has been shopping around.
“I’ve joined their family,” Stallone told attendees at the Colosseum. “We have an incredible film coming up. I’m not going to give you the name right now because I don’t want you to all go crazy.”
The appearance of Stallone, who thanked attendees for their support of 2015 hit Creed, was one of several high-profile talent to take the stage in a pure statement of intent by Bob Simonds’ fledgling studio.

Sylvester Stallone will not be battling Isis in the next Rambo sequel, despite inaccurate reports circulating the Internet. Rumors began to swirl Monday morning that the veteran actor-filmmaker would reprise his legendary role as war veteran John Rambo in a new film called Rambo: Last Blood. However, a representative for Stallone denied those claims to Rolling Stone, noting that the actor was not even at the event. "Sylvester Stallone did not attend Comic-Con 2015, and consequently there was no official remark from him regarding Rambo made there at the event," the rep says.

Sylvester Stallone offers up the first look at Creed in which he once again stars as Rocky Balboa alongside Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed, played by Carl Weathers in the first four Rocky features. Here's the official synopsis: Adonis Johnson (Jordan) never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. Still, there's no denying that boxing is in his blood, so Adonis heads to Philadelphia, the site of Apollo Creed's legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa. Once in the City of Brotherly Love, Adonis tracks Rocky (Stallone) down and asks him to be his trainer. Despite his insistence that he is out of the fight game for good, Rocky sees in Adonis the strength and determination he had known in Apollo--the fierce rival who became his closest friend. Agreeing to take him on, Rocky trains the young fighter,...

New Year's is supposed to be about new beginnings, but for Sylvester Stallone, 2015 promises to be another blast from the past. This month, he returns to the fighting city of Philadelphia to play Rocky Balboa for the seventh time. Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler is set to film Creed, with Balboa serving as the aging trainer to Apollo Creed's grandson, an up-and-coming boxer played by Michael B. Jordan. Assuming the mentor role once represented by Burgess Meredith's Mickey shouldn't be too physically taxing for the 68-year-old Stallone, but don't think for a second he's given up being the action hero.

New Rocky and Rambo films kick off Sylvester Stallone's 2015 shooting schedule...
Sylvester Stallone is set to be a very busy man in 2015, with a trio of new projects set to film.
Stallone has confirmed on his occasionally-updated Twitter feed that he's heading off to Philadelphia to reprise the role of Rocky Balboa in spin-off movie Creed. That's the one where Michael B Jordan will be playing the grandson of Apollo Creed (who was, of course, played by Carl Weathers in the Rocky films). Rocky Balboa will become the new Creed's trainer in the film.
Then, he's making Last Blood, which is expected to be the final film in the Rambo series. No further details are available on that one yet. It's still unclear, therefore, whether Stallone will be directing Rambo: Last Blood as well.
Finally - at least for now - he's then going to move on to Scarpa,...

Rumours swirled around a few months ago that John Rambo would be once again dismembering an army of faceless goon in delightfully brutal fashion in Rambo: Last Blood. Well, Sylvester Stallone has confirmed on Twitter that Last Blood will indeed be the title (though the actor has called it his No Country for Old Men), and while nothing is known of the plot, it will begin production after Creed, Ryan Coogler's (Fruitvale Station) Rocky spin-off following Apollo Creed's grand son Adonis (Michael B. Jordan), and featuring Stallone reprising his role of The Italian Stallion. With those two movies wrapped, Stallone will then begin work on Scarpa, based on the life of former mob enforcer Gregory Scarpa.

This past summer, we learned that Sylvester Stallone may be returning to one of his iconic characters as John Rambo in what would be the fifth installment in the action franchise. Now that's been confirmed as Stallone took to Twitter to mention that he's heading to Philadelphia to start shooting the Rocky spin-off Creed, in which he'll star with Michael B. Jordan. And then afterwards, he mentioned that he has a gangster movie coming up called Scarpa, based on real-life mobster Greg Scarpa, but before that he'll shoot Rambo: Last Blood. So yes, that's the real title of what will likely end Stallone's run of this character. Read on! Here are the posts from Sylvester Stallone on Twitter about what he's up to now: Going to Philly to start the film Creed.... What a great idea— Sylvester Stallone (@TheSlyStallone) December 28, 2014 Doing Scarpa based on Gangster Greg Scarpa after Last Blood Rambo.

If you're wondering what's going on with Sylvester Stallone's fifth Rambo movie, you might be happy to know that he still plans on making it. A few months ago it was revealed that the film would be called Rambo: Last Blood, and that he might be directing it. In a couple of recent tweets talking about his upcoming projects, the actor said,
"Going to Philly to start the film Creed.... What a great idea""Doing Scarpa based on Gangster Greg Scarpa after Last Blood Rambo..."
I don't know if this means the title of the film will actually Last Blood: Rambo, but it does confirm that Last Blood is the sub-title for the movie. Seems fitting for a franchise that began with First Blood. Stallone doesn't say when exactly he is planning to shoot Rambo, but it obviously won't happen until after he's finished with his Rocky spinoff film,...

Stallone is currently filming his role in mob story Scarpa and Rocky spinoff Creed is in pre-production.

"I'm starting to work out. I'm going to be appropriately vicious and all that stuff, but intellectual. A killer with a heart."

Sly is going to keep busy in 2015.
On Sylvester Stallone’s Twitter page, he tweeted his upcoming projects next year with the Rocky spin-off film “Creed,” and then “Rambo: Last Blood.” And then to wrap things up in “Scarpa,” a film based on the real life Greg Scarpa.
With “Creed,” this spin-off to the “Rocky” films will follow Apollo Creed’s grandson with Rocky training him to be a boxer. Apollo Creed, played by Carl Weathers, boxed Rocky in “Rocky” and “Rocky II.” In “Rocky III,” Apollo trained Rocky to fight a younger James “Clubber” Lang. So the new film sounds like Rocky is returning the favor.
He announced the completion with the script with a tweet. See the photo below, but don’t flip and zoom in if you want to spoil the ending to “Creed” for yourself.
There were rumors about another Rambo movie and now it's confirmed with “Rambo: Last Blood.

As one of the reigning action heroes of the 70s and 80s that’s still going strong, Sylvester Stallone has proven time and time again that age ain’t nothing but a number. If you thought he’d be cashing in his chips after The Expendables 3 turned out to be a dud (its regrettable PG-13 rating being something that Stallone himself wasn’t happy with), think again.
Taking to Twitter to outline his future forecast, the actor posted three short Tweets to inform fans of his upcoming works, including Rambo: Last Blood.

Sylvester Stallone wrapped up The Expendables (we think) and now has his sights set on returning his more reliable characters. First up is the Rocky spin-off Creed, which will focus on the grandson (Michael B. Jordan) of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) being mentored by Rocky Balboa (Stallone). It’s from Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogle, so it’s an interesting jump from the streets to the ring. Will it feel like a Rocky movie? I hope not. I loved Rocky Balboa and thought it ended the series perfectly; if this is happening, it should be all about Creed.

Sylvester Stallone has offered brief updates on his upcoming film projects via his Twitter account this week, in the process dropping one or two surprises.
Stallone confirms he's next headed to Philadelphia to start shooting the "Rocky" spin-off feature "Creed". He also posted what appears to be the last page of the film's script in a photo, a shot which gives away both the ending and a key subplot that comes up through the film. You can read that at your own risk by clicking here. Ryan Coogler is directing the film from a script he co-wrote with Aaron Covington.
Perhaps the biggest news though is that the reported fifth and final film in the "Rambo" series seems to have a proper full title - "Last Blood: Rambo". There's no indication when it would begin filming, but it does look like it will be shot before Stallone goes to...

Apparently Sylvester Stallone.s mantra is "never let die." After resurrecting Barney Ross for The Expendables 3 and with plans to do the same for Rocky Balboa in the upcoming spinoff, Creed, the action movie mainstay is ready for another Rambo entry. And it looks like he just officially revealed the title, and that likely means a bigger announcement is on the horizon. We haven.t heard much on the next Rambo, as details and a production schedule are being finalized. Though, there was a rumor floating around that it will be officially titled Rambo: Last Blood, a name which originated from a ComingSoon reader.
