“I didn’t think I was going to get that far,” admits Thelma Houston, the legendary Grammy-winning diva who placed third on “The Masked Singer” as Clock. “There have been some other divas out there that we know well that didn’t get quite that far, so I said, ‘Well, as long as I can do as good as they did that would be great.’ To go this far was just a surprise to me. It was one of the most challenging things I have ever done, trust and believe.”
The 81-year old revealed in one of her clue packages that she skipped the 1978 Grammy Awards because she never though she’d win for her classic Motown hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way.” She explains, “Two years prior to that I had been nominated for a Grammy before. When Aretha [Franklin] is on there you can just forget about winning.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 11, Episode 10 of “The Masked Singer,” “Quarter Finals: Final Four,” which aired May 8 on Fox.
“This Is Us” star Chrissy Metz knew “The Masked Singer” would be a challenge. But that’s why Metz, who was revealed as latest celebrity to be unmasked on Wednesday night’s quarter finals, figured she had to do it.
“When I watched the show, and I would see either my friends or peers on the show, I’m like, how do they do it?” said Metz, who was revealed as the Poodle Moth. “And it was harder than I thought. I knew it was gonna be like trying, because it’s enough to just stand on the stage and sing. But like to put on a massive costume, to not really know where you’re going and to be led by people in...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 11, Episode 6 of “The Masked Singer,” “Transformers Night,” which aired April 10 on Fox.
Former “The Bachelor” star Colton Underwood knows the symbolism of his being unmasked on a reality show — in this case, “The Masked Singer” — is huge. Underwood, a former pro football player who made history as the first star of “The Bachelor” to come out as gay, was one of two celebrities to be revealed on Wednesday night’s show — the other being another ex-NFL player, the Hall of Fame, former pro football linebacker DeMarcus Ware.
“You’re obviously protected by a mask, which was symbolic for me in many ways just because I’d worn one my entire life until I wasn’t,” Underwood told Variety. “To put one back on to go on stage and do something that I’ve never done, something I...

“Me wanting to be on the show was prompted from my family,” says Grammy-nominated R&b star Sisqo while discussing his time as Lizard on “The Masked Singer.” “They’re big fans of the show. And as it turns out, it seemed like once a season or every other season one of the judges would guess that whoever was masked was me. My family was like, ‘They keep guessing it’s you, when you just gonna go on there?'” Watch his exclusive video interview with Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson above.
As Lizard, Sisqo sang “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescense on “Shower Anthems Night.” After receiving the least amount of votes in the Group C final, he was forced to “take it off” and reveal himself. Panelists Robin Thicke and Rita Ora were right on the money, guessing Sisqo’s identity based on that unmistakable tone. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 11, Episode 5 of “The Masked Singer,” “Group C Finals: Shower Anthems Night,” which aired April 3 on Fox.
After two weeks of being on “The Masked Singer” chopping block, Sisqó is finally gone-guh-gone-gone-gone.
I think I’ll sing it again: Sisqó’s been dumped like a truck, truck, truck. “The Masked Singer” has removed his butt, butt, butt. Let me see (who sang) that song!
That’s right, “Thong Song” superstar Sisqó on Wednesday became the latest celebrity to be unmasked on “The Masked Singer,” revealed to be the Lizard.
For Sisqó as the Lizard, several of the panelists had figured it out. Robin Thicke and Rita Ora knew it was Sisqó. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg picked Ray J. Ken Jeong said it was Michael Bivins.
Lizard was voted out after being one of the two lowest vote-getters in the two previous episodes.

To say that Eli Roth has had an incredibly successful career would be pretty accurate, but that doesn’t mean everything has worked. Remember that ‘Clock’ kids film with Cate Blanchett? Exactly. And it seems like his “Borderlands” film was basically ripped away from him. But with those setbacks, he returned in a big way with “Thanksgiving,” going back to his horror roots.

Dianna Agron comes off as remarkably calm, cool, and collected. Now 37, she seems sure of herself in ways she perhaps wasn’t when she exploded onto the scene in 2009 as Quinn Fabray, the head cheerleader on Ryan Murphy’s culture-shifting musical-dramedy Glee. She isn’t interested in examining her past relationships — while balancing an Arnold Palmer at the Swan Room, an Instagram-ready lounge in what interlopers are now calling Dimes Square — but is looking forward to the many exciting things she has in store.

Clock is a film directed by Alexis Jacknow starring Dianna Agron.
Clock is an elegant horror film that, narrated at a leisurely pace, manages to engage the viewer above all thanks to a brilliant performance by Dianna Agron, who knows how to seize the opportunity of a juicy role in a horror film.
And that’s not something usual.
Movie Review
Subtle and very well-paced, directed, and acted. It tells exactly what it wants and in the best possible way and Alexis Jacknow shines more in the direction than in the script, in a short story that, in a way, gives us the vibes of a short film with higher pretensions.
Clock performs very well in its visual aspect and set design. Very appreciable in terms of coloring, and regarding many of the designs of the fertility clinic and the appropriate use of contrasts.

The point where most horror movies lately get it wrong is the all-consuming drive to be original before anything else. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing unless being original is all the film has got going for it. What moves you about a story–any story–is how it’s been told. And while Clock did have a dynamite of stakes in the form of a superbly relevant social issue, the entirety of its execution was a reluctantly lit sparkler at best. I was positively worked up for the film, which promised the body-horror-toned plight and fight of a child-free woman in a reproduction-obsessed society. Because if there’s anything body horrors have a high shot at thriving in, it’s the trope of an abused woman blowing up in rage. Going out on a limb and relying way too unfairly on the trope to be sensational enough...

Dianna Agron kicked off her acting career in 2006, appearing on shows like "CSI: NY," "Drake & Josh," and "Veronica Mars." She started to break through after portraying Debbie Marshall on the NBC show "Heroes" in 2007, and following her success on the show, Agron landed the role of Quinn Fabray in the acclaimed musical series "Glee" from 2009 to 2015.
Outside of her prolific television career, the "Glee" star also found work in films and has acting credits in movies like "Burlesque," "The Family," "The Novitiate," and "As They Made Us." Her most recent work is in Hulu's sci-fi horror film "Clock," which hits the streamer on April 28.

Hulu’s Clock shakes up familiar ground in the fertile subgenre of pregnancy horror by examining the ticking biological clock through a woman uninterested in giving birth. Perhaps even scared of it. Writer/Director Alexis Jacknow’s feature debut mines psychological horror from the concept as it explores the pitfalls of baby fever. Despite the fascinating intersection of societal pressures and personal guilt, Clock struggles to decide on its horror approach.

Plot: Clock is the story of a woman who enrolls in a clinical trial to try and fix her seemingly broken biological clock after friends, family, and society pressures her to have children.
Review: Some of the best horror movies are films about something other than the surface scares that draw in audiences. George Romero’s Living Dead movies were about racism, consumerism, and flesh-eating zombies. It Follows is about sexually transmitted diseases, while The Babadook is about the trauma of being a single parent. Alexis Jacknow’s film Clock, inspired by her Hulu short film of the same name, is a story about the pressures put on women to be mothers and the stress of living up to expectations. Sure, it features some chilling imagery and some jumpscares, but the underlying messages within the film are the truly frightening part and render the surface horror a little underwhelming.
