WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart hopes Hulk Hogan’s days in the WWE are over.
The Hitman was speaking during a Q&A with Off The Record’s Periscope account, where he was asked to comment on everything that has gone on with The Hulkster in the last few weeks.
For those of you that don’t know, an eight-year-old audio transcript of a racial tirade by Hogan, where he uses the ‘N’ word on more than one occasion, was made public via an unauthorised sex tape. WWE terminated its 30-year association with their former ‘face’ and wiped him from its Hall of Fame. Hulk then made an emotional apology on Good Morning America last week.
And when asked if he thought Hogan should return to WWE, Hart certainly didn’t pull any punches on the subject, he said: “Let’s hope not. Let’s really hope...

Kevin Owens is WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart’s favourite wrestler in the business today.
The former WWE Champion was speaking during a Q&A with Off The Record’s Periscope account, where he was asked who his favourite heel currently working in the ring was. The Hitman replied: He’s (Kevin Owens) one of my favourites, period!
“He’s very good. He’s a Canadian guy and he’s a really hard working wrestler.”
The former Nxt Champions has made a considerable splash on the main roster since ‘stepping up’ to make his unannounced debut as part of the John Cena Us Open Challenge in May.
He’s been involved in the upper echelons of the card since and even gained a clean win against Cena on his in-ring debut at Elimination Chamber.

Bret Hart took part in a Periscope chat with Tsn’s Off The Record where he answered fan questions for 16 minutes. As always, he was very opinionated about a number of subjects, including his late brother Owen Hart being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame.
“I’m hoping next year at WrestleMania that he’ll be inducted and I’ll be really sorely disappointed if he’s not. It’s really overdue.”
He said he was looking forward to the Owen Hart DVD that will be released in December, but that it was too controlled and that WWE had to tip-toe around things so they didn’t offend Owen’s widow Martha Hart. Bret thinks that Martha has made an ass of herself and it has pissed him off because she has tried to erase his legacy.

Cm Punk is back in the media with a new interview with Sports Illustrated. Which is no surprise, but this latest interview is a must read for Punk fans and wrestling fans in general. The fighter and former WWE champion is in the process of transitioning to a career in mixed martial arts with the Ufc, and he touches both on his burgeoning fight career, and time spent with the world’s largest pro wrestling outfit.
It is, in truth, a fascinating article. Not because of any shocking new revelations but because of how frank and honest Punk is, and how at ease he now seems to be with his pro wrestling past. Even a few months seem to have softened him: compare this interview to his blow up during an interview with Off the Record’s Michael Landsberg, for example.

There’s no doubt about it, Chael Sonnen is one of the biggest hype men in Mma history. If the American Hero’s latest comments are to be believed, he could very well have a future in the WWE.
Speaking to Off The Record’s Michael Landsberg, Sonnen revealed how he and Wanderlei Silva have both been invited to this year’s WWE Hall of Fame event.
Sonnen said, “I got a call from WWE. They say, ‘Look, we have a Hall of Fame show in March. If you want to come out, we want to talk to you about some stuff.’ They laid out at that.”
He then continued, “If they are buying me a plane ticket and they’re given me a ticket to the show, I do enjoy that product. I don’t know what we are talking about, but I...

After the dust had seemingly settled from his now infamous appearance on Colt Cabana’s ‘Art of Wrestling’ podcast, Cm Punk was the headline guest on Michael Landsberg’s ‘Off The Record’ to talk about his upcoming career in the Ufc.
During the interview, Landsberg, a serial troller, constantly made light of Punk’s move to the octagon and refused to acknowledge him as a fighter. The show started with a package outlining some potential opponents for the former Straight Edge Society leader that included rapper Drake, Justin Bieber and Chef Boyardee and completely nosedived from there. Obviously, the former WWE Champion didn’t take kindly to this and would criticise the Canadian for having a split personality on and off camera, claiming to like Landsberg’s ‘gimmick, kid’.

In an interview earlier this week with Michael Landsberg of Tsn’s Off The Record, Cm Punk got more than a little upset with one particular line of questioning that saw his WWE days brought into the mix. In the end, he wound up accusing Landsberg on-air of being two-faced, and became more and more agitated throughout the interview.
The rub of it is, the original question that seems to have irked Punk was simple: Had he ever been punched in the face?
His answer:
“You obviously haven’t seen some of the guys I was wrestling in the WWE. Yes, I’ve taken a real punch to the face.”
At this point, things began to slowly go downhill. To be fair to Punk, the question came after a segment in which his proposed first fight in the Ufc was parodied – with the show poking fun at the lack of date,...

Nicole Kidman is baby crazy! Kidman, 47, just couldn't help gushing over her interviewer's baby bump in Elle's January issue, on newsstands Dec. 16. "Oh my gosh, you are so lucky. Is this your first?" Kidman asked. Because of her "advanced maternal age" at 38 years old, the Elle reporter answered that it will likely be her only child. "I had my last one at 43," Kidman pointed out. "My grandmother had her last at 49. Every month, I'm like, 'I hope I'm pregnant!' " When Kidman's publicist jumped in to call "off the record," the actress wasn't bothered: " 'Off the record?' I don't mind!

Nicole Kidman is daring, to say the least.
In a new interview for Elle magazine's January issue, the Oscar-winning actress explains the reasoning behind marrying country superstar Keith Urban after only a month of dating.
"I'm spontaneous. I jump in," she tells the magazine about the bold decision. "I kind of like getting married and then getting to know each other; I know that it sounds incredibly strange, but to me, it's a more natural process."
Incredibly strange, indeed, but seems to have worked out just fine. Nicole and Keith tied the knot in June 2006, and are still going strong eight years later.

Director David Fincher, writer Gillian Flynn, and actors Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tyler Perry discussed "Gone Girl's" many twists and turns throughout their press conference after the film was unveiled to press and industry at the New York Film Festival on Friday night, but the film's surprises are so well guarded that even after the audience had seen it, they were wary about saying too much. "We're trusting you obviously not to, you know, quote us," said Pike, half-jokingly. "Off the record, on the Qt." -Break- Will 'Gone Girl' break the curse against crime thrillers at Oscars? The film examines the marriage of Nick and Amy Dunne (Affleck and Pike), who we learn were not as happy as they seemed after she goes missing on their fifth anniversary. Noel Coward left an inedible mark on the world of theatre with his hit plays, musicals, operettas, and revues. His expansive work is studied and revered by scholars, many of whom can trace elements of modern theatrical experiences back to his brand of wit, satire, and sentiment. Sharing this brand, Original Cast Records' release of Steve Ross' Nol Coward Off The Record takes listeners on a journey through Coward's lesser-known repertoire.

Director Dean Parisot's 1999 sci-fi comedy Galaxy Quest was a hell of a film. I love that movie, and over the years we've heard some talk of a sequel but nothing has ever materialized from that talk. The talking continues, but it's from all of the main players involved, and they all want to see a sequel happen.
MTV recently did an oral history of the film, and several members of the cast and crew came in to talk about the film. Those people included Tim Allen, Sigourney Allen, Sam Rockwell, Justin Long, director Dean Parisot, producer Mark Johnson, and writer Robert Gordon.
You've got to remember that this movie was ahead of its time, and it was made in an era where geek culture wasn't as popular as it is now. At that time San Diego Comic-Con wasn't the huge popular convention that it is now. I think a sequel would do extremely now,...

Farmer Gray is tooling down the road one fine day in 1981, and there ahead of him he sees Sam’s Appliance Store. Farmer Gray has had a heck of a wheat crop this year and he’s got $40,000 burning a hole in his pocket. On a whim, he goes into Sam’s. He’s worked hard this year; he figures he owes himself a toy.
“Sam,” he says. “I’m all the way the heck out in the middle of nowhere. You got one of those forty, fifty foot TV antennas I could put up so I could get at least a little bit of TV? I hear this Happy Days thing is just terrific, but where I’m sitting, I can’t get anything on my set but the buzz from my wife’s Lady Schick.”
And old Sam, why he says, “I can do you one better, Farmer Gray.

Longtime fans of Dead Rising have been less than impressed by part three thus far, to put it mildly. Unfortunately, the just released cinematic, CGI trailer is not going to help its case all that much.
Among other things, it remains virtually devoid of any color or personality; Dead Rising continues to largely resemble all the other zombie murder simulators out there, which is the primary issue.
Much of the whimsy is also still absent, replaced with a whole lot of unnecessary swearing. And Frank West is still nowhere to be found. Sorry folks, but at this point, it's just not happening:
Though on the plus side, the whole "make your weapon" deal, which was introduced in part 2, likes just as fun as ever. And the very end of the clip does honestly feel like legit Dead Rising. It's unfortunate that everything else, on the other hand,...

Hey, what a good deal! Wait, it is a good deal… right? Capcom just announced on its official blog the existence of something called Capcom Essentials – basically a bunch of Capcom classics bundled up and sold at a supposedly more attractive price. These “classics” include the likes of — wait for it — Resident Evil 6! Mega Man 10! Devil May Cry 4! Now, it’s somewhat debatable whether these are classics – Dmc 4 was good and all, but Resident Evil 6? Hardly a classic in most people’s book. Mega Man 10? Okay, but why 10? There are a fair amount of reasons the “essentials” moniker is debatable, but commenter Ryan on the official blog post says it best.

Variety normally delivers between 3-6 copies of its print edition to Relativity Media. On Tuesday morning the trade hand-delivered 50 copies of the weekly with its “Debt Of A Salesman” cover story about the company to Relativity’s offices. Immediately Relativity insiders criticized the move to me as ”a desperate move for attention” for ”a highly speculative story with an uninformed premise”. Hey, this is progress. The last time a media outlet wrote about Relativity in any depth — Ron Burkle Talks Ryan Kavanaugh To The New Yorker — Relativity’s lawyer demanded the article’s retraction and removal from the website. I’m told no legal letter went out this time around — just company spin. Is this a kinder gentler Ryan Kavanaugh under investor Ron Burkle’s tutelage? Well, a less confrontational CEO trying to stay out of the press. That said, here is Relativity’s on-the-record statement from a company spokesperson...

Justin Timberlake ended seven years of musical silence this week with the release of "The 20/20 Experience." The album debuted to extremely strong reviews and Billboard reports it is is projected to sell over 800,000 copies in its first week. Still some critics felt that when listened to individually, the album's tracks failed to standout like those found on his last album. Woodkid's "The Golden Age" contained a few capturing moments, but the the listening experience wasn't consistent. And Karl Bartos failed to impress with "Off The Record," an album that seemed to only pay homage to his electro pop hits of the past.

Two separate LinkedIn profiles for employees of Blur Studio (a visual effects company that regularly produces cinematics and trailers for the video game industry) have listed Dead Rising 3 in their online resumes, indicating that Capcom is currently working on a new addition to their campy zombie franchise. The two employees (Rigging Supervisor Jeremie Passerin and Cloth-Hair Td Noah Peterson) both claimed to have worked on a cinematic for Dead Rising 3, which is noted as being an “Unreleased” game on both of their profiles.
Capcom has not officially announced a third (fourth if you count Off The Record, and fifth if you count Chop Till You Drop) Dead Rising game, however, this is not the first time that we have heard talk of the title. Back in December 2011 rumors surfaced that claimed Dead Rising 3 would take place in the fictional town of Los Perdidos, California and star a new protagonist named Rick.

It's been quite a while (2011) since we've heard any sort of news or rumors regarding Dead Rising 3. A new rumor has popped up now however, suggesting that we may finally get an official announcement and trailer in the near future.
As I said, it's been a long while since Dead Rising 3 has popped up on the interwebs, but that may not be the case for much longer. A recent resume update from Jeremie Passerin on his LinkedIn profile (discovered by All Games Beta) hints that a trailer for DR3 is coming soon. Jeremie Passerin is a rigging supervisor for Blur Studio, a company that has created CGI trailers for many games including Dishonored and even those bad-ass trailers for The Old Republic.
Anyway, Passerin's resume says he's been working for Blur for the last year and lists Dead Rising 3 as one of the projects he's been working on (it looks...

Jessica Chastain has said that she thought about going blonde to win Hollywood movie roles. The actress told InStyle that she may not have got parts because she does not look conventional. "There were a couple of times when I thought, 'Maybe I should dye my hair blonde?'," Chastain said. "I'm in La and I'm thinking, 'Why can't I get an audition for a film?'" She added: "Being a redhead and not having very conventionally modern looks, it was confusing for people and they didn't know exactly where to put me." Of the way some stars court celebrity, Chastain said: "Off the record, I could name specifics for you. "There are some actors, (more)...

Well, it looks like Channing Tatum at least gets to talk about babysitting The Rock's kids before he dies.
Officially, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" was pulled from this past summer's release calendar in order to convert the film to 3-D. Off the record, the release was delayed because Paramount realized that it's probably not wise to kill off the star of "21 Jump Street" and "Magic Mike" in the first reel.
Tatum was called in for reshoots, though if the new international trailer is any indication, it doesn't look like they amounted to much. Sure, Duke is featured in the first few beats, though after the sneak attack that wipes out most of the Joe camp, he's completely Mia. Maybe he's set for a heroic "Hey we thought you were dead!" return in the third act?
No matter how it turns out, fans should be pleased by the bit of Duke/Roadblock banter,...

It was only natural for Capcom to release yet another Dead Rising title to capitalize on the zombie craze. With Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, we’re given an overhauled version of Dead Rising 2 that sees the return of Frank West, along with a variety of new features and improvements.
The story mode takes an interesting twist, with Frank West being placed in the middle of the Fortune City outbreak. It only seems right to have Frank back in the series, as he oozes charisma. Whether it be smashing zombies heads in or his clever one liners, he can do it all. This alternate...

In the fascinating new film documentary In Sunshine or In Shadows, which will screen on the closing night of this year’s Craic Fest on March 10 at the Tribeca Cinema, award-winning director Andrew Gallimore explores that remarkable night in Irish sporting history when the ultimate outsider climbed to the top of the world rankings. It’s been over a quarter of a century now since legendary boxer Barry McGuigan sent Irish pulses racing, but there was a time when Ireland needed the featherweight world champion more than they could ever have expressed. That time arrived on a balmy hot night in London in 1985 when McGuigan, the Clones Cyclone, dropped the long reigning featherweight champion Eusebio Pedroza from Panama in the seventh round and won a 15 round decision in a fight that riveted the whole country. ______________ Read More: More Irish arts news from Irish Central Off the Record: Romantic tunes for St.

Stephen Colbert apparently won't have a hand in the Republican presidential primary in his home state of South Carolina. But it's not for lack of trying.
Colbert wrote an op-ed piece for The State newspaper in Columbia, S.C., detailing his efforts to fund the state's Gop primary, which takes place Jan. 21. Earlier this year, the state Republican party and counties had a dispute over who should pay for the election, with the counties saying the party reneged on a promise to pick up the tab.
Enter Colbert and his super Pac fund-raising organization, which he references frequently on "The Colbert Report" but which is very real and operates the same way other super PACs do.
"I called up the South Carolina Gop and said, 'How much cash would you have to raise to keep your promise to counties? Off the record; I'll never tell a soul,'" he writes.

A post at the official Dead Rising Facebook page might point to a new game or content for the zombie-smashing franchise.

Dead Rising’s hero Frank West returns to the franchise with this remake come re-imagining of the second game in the series with Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, which tells the same story as the first iteration of the game, only from a whole new perspective.
Reportedly conceived by Capcom as as downloadable add-on/sequel (think Case Zero or Case West) for Dead Rising 2, Off The Record sees you once again playing as Frank West and once again charged with surviving a zombie attack whilst at the same time gathering evidence about the real source of the zombie uprising. The game includes new missions, cutscenes, environments, enemies, and weapons. Plus, the photography mechanic from the first Dead Rising game returns to add plenty of chances to earn all the Pp bonuses that entails.

Chicago – “Dead Island,” “Resident Evil” (which just had “Resident Evil 4” & “Resident Evil Code: Veronica X” re-released and upgraded for Xbox 360 and PS3), “Left 4 Dead,” “Dead Nation” — the zombie genre is one of the most resilient and creatively impressive in the world of gaming. So much so that Capcom has actually released an alternate version of their 2010 hit “Dead Rising 2.” With a different protagonist, sandbox mode, and some alterations to gameplay, “Dead Rising 2: Off the Record” is like a greatest hits version of an album with slightly different versions of some key tracks.
