While there was much doubt and fingernail chewing about whether Legos would make a good movie, now we know it, truly, was The Special. And so, with more than $200 million in the bank after just two weeks of release, Warner Brothers said yes to making another Lego film, planning for it to hit theaters on May 26, 2017. No word if Chris Pratt, Morgan Freeman, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill or the rest of the actors will be back. In fact, no word that brilliant writer/directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord will be back.

Warner Bros. will release a new “Lego” movie on May 26, 2017. The first “Lego,” which it made with partner Village Roadshow, is the movie industry’s biggest hit so far this year, having grossed more than $200 million at the box office. It remains unclear if this movie will be a sequel to that film, or a spin-off that explores a different area of the “Lego” universe. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller wrote and directed the first film, and will be producing the sequel. Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan are writing the sequel. Given the intense competition in the animated film...

While Channing Tatum rose to prominence with a filmography that included Step Up, Stop-Loss, and GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, his supporting turn in 2011′s The Dilemma gave many a look at his comedic talents. His subsequent leading turn in the following year’s 21 Jump Street earned Tatum a new set of fans, all of whom were excited to find out that he had formally signed on to the movie’s sequel. Titled 22 Jump Street, Tatum is once again joined onscreen by Jonah Hill, Nick Offerman, and Ice Cube, with c0-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller once again helming the sequel, and screenwriter Michael Bacall joined this time around by Rodney Rothman and Oren Uziel. A new trailer for the film has now been released, and can be seen below.

While much of the Internet was abuzz over the new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer (see it here), Sony released a new green-band trailer for its upcoming sequel 22 Jump Street. Much of the footage contained within has already been seen, but this particular trailer includes an alternate ending featuring a "Mexican Wolverine." This silliness comes from Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the guys who directed the first Jump Street movie as well as the totally awesome Lego Movie currently in theaters. 22 Jump Street hits theaters June 13. Did you like the alternate ending? Follow @DerrickDeane !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement...

Remember when everyone was like, "'21 Jump Street?' As a movie? That's the worst idea ever! Hollywood is terrible!" Well, we all ate our words after experiencing the glorious friend love between Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as cops sent back to high school. They're back, of course, but now they're going to college. And their Jump Street HQ? It's across the street.
Although this is a green band trailer, there are still some naughty words in there, so if you're watching this at work (and you wouldn't be doing that, would you?) maybe put on your headphones. The rest of us can luxuriate in the sight of grumpy Nick Offerman sending the boys to college, Ice Cube having the sort of day where he might want to use his Ak, and Jonah Hill getting attacked by a squid. Also, Hill as an emo goth kid. And dancing. And.

Sony Pictures has released another trailer for 22 Jump Street. It's basically the same trailer they previously released, but with a funny alternate ending that is definitely worth watching. It's sure to give you a good laugh.
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

If you were like me, when I first heard that Warner Bros. was making a movie based on Lego, I rolled my eyes! Not another movie based on a toy! But then I saw the film, and I ate my words! So how many kisses does .The Lego Movie. get? Take a look!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet my new man crush! Chris Pratt is such a fantastic actor and a lovely, sweet person to boot! He and wife Anna Faris make a perfect pair! It was actually Faris, who worked with writers/directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller before for .Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. who inspired Pratt to work with the duo for .The Lego Movie.. And the result is brilliant!
.The Lego Movie. is a smart, funny, and nearly perfect satire about commercialism! Yup! I told you it.s smart!
I sat down with Pratt to talk about his voice work for the movie, his favorite Lego creation, and the theme that resonated with him the most! Take a look:...

First let me tell you how much I enjoyed .The Lego Movie.. It.s fun for kids but grown-ups will appreciate its satirical humor. And big credit goes to writers/directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (.Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,. .21 Jump Street.)! And they conceptualized it too! And honestly, when I first heard Warner Bros. was planning to do a movie based on Lego, I was like, big groan! Not another movie based on a toy!
And then I saw the film, and true to its theme song, everything is awesome!
I sat down with Miller and Lord to talk about the film, the very first thing they put down on paper, the movie.s design, and yup, why it.s awesome!

When "21 Jump Street" was released back in 2011, it was one of the year's most welcome surprises - a sharp, smart, wholly involving tale of a couple of dumb ass cops (Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill) who go undercover as teenagers to bust up a high school drug ring. And while the movie did with a cliffhanger of sorts, opening it up to the possibility of a sequel, it also featured the words "The End."
Well, any star-driven studio movie that made its money back will undoubtedly garner a sequel, and this summer sees the release of "22 Jump Street," with Hill and Tatum set to return, alongside original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. As the just-released first poster (via Yahoo! Movies) suggests, they're packing heat and ready to go.

Sony Pictures has released the first poster for 22 Jump Street, the sequel to their smash-hit movie 21 Jump Street.
The film is directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller from a screenplay written by Michael Bacall and Oren Uziel and Rodney Rothman.
22 Jump Street stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Amber Stevens, and Craig Roberts.

Jonah Hill has just been nominated for his second Academy Award following an appearance in The Wolf of Wall Street, but the actor will be heading back to his familiar comedic roots for 22 Jump Street later this year. 21 Jump Street shocked a lot of people in 2012 when it ended up being both a critical and commercial hit, and Hill will be reunited with White House Down’s Channing Tatum as the duo head off to college.
What does the poster tell us about the movie? Not much, although we should probably prepare for more hilarious antics from Schmidt and Jenko as they infiltrate a college campus, and their partnership is once again tested as they take on the roles they had when they were in high school for real. 22 Jump Street also stars Ice Cube, Amber Stevens, Jillian Bell, and Craig Roberts.

Los Angeles, Jan 14: Actor Ice Cube, who was seen in action-comedy "21 Jump Street", says that its sequel is a "lot crazier" than the original.
The actor, who will reprise his role of Captain Dickson in part two titled "22 Jump Street", said that the directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have added many things in the sequel, reports contactmusic.com.
"It's a lot crazier! If you give Phil Lord and Chris Miller more money, then they come up with more crazy stuff. We shot a lot of crazy s**t. We had fun. We were able to improve as much as we wanted. We were getting nice, juicy takes of all kinds of crazy stuff. You could damn near cut two movies together," collider.com quoted Ice Cube as saying.
The 44-year-old is joined.

A long-gestating Disney musical received a big boost this week, signing on a "Rock of Ages" writer to pen the script while keeping the songwriters behind recent blockbuster "Frozen" attached to the project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Allan Loeb will now write "Bob the Musical," which focuses on a man who, after a sudden blow to the head, can hear the inner songs in other people's hearts. Much to his chagrin, his entire life becomes a musical.
Loeb's other writing credits cover an array of genres, including films such as "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," "Just Go With It," and "21."
"Bob" has been in the works for a decade, and has seen several high-profile filmmakers (including Adam Shankman and "21 Jump Street" directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller) come and go. One of the first major animated movies of the year, The Lego Movie marks the return of co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller to the world of animation following their acclaimed debut, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
It of course also marks the feature-length debut of Lego on the big screen, which is a huge deal, and all the more reason to get excited for its release next month.
Warner Bros. has teased plenty of great things from the movie already, and with its arrival now just a month away, the studio has launched the first TV spot online.
The Lego Movie follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average Lego minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

Right now, Disney's Frozen is proving to be a box office giant with a lot of staying power, and the composers have just lined up another musical at the House of Mouse. THR has word that Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the duo behind the stellar original music from the aforementioned winter hit, are teaming with Rock of Ages writer Allan Loeb for the gestating Bob the Musical. Last we heard, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and 21 Jump Street duo Phil Lord & Chris Miller were boarding the project, but they've moved on. We wish they were still involved, but with this all-new creative team, we're still excited. For those who don't remember, the story follows a regular guy who, after a blow to the head, suddenly can hear the inner songs of everyone’s hearts. ‘Bob the Musical’ Taps Allan Loeb to Rewrite Story of Man Living Our Nightmare: The Constant Musical
Once upon a time, in a land called 2004, Disney set out to create a musical comedy simply titled Bob the Musical. The film would follow Bob, an average Joe who suffered a blow to the head and started hearing constant music and singing everywhere he went. As that would sound like utter hell to you or me, so it would too for our poor, dear Bob, who is now forced to hear the “inner songs of everyone’s heart” at all times; Bob’s life is now a musical. The ambitious project became a work of passion for the studio, with multiple writers, composers and directors all hoping on to the film and detaching themselves from Bob at some point or another over the last 10 years when development never seemed to push further that pre-production — including Adam Shankman and the 21 Jump Street duo Chris Miller and Phil Lord. But despite this decade-long struggle to see one man...

A couple of days ago we brought you a red-band trailer for 22 Jump Street. Now we have a cleaner theatrical trailer you can watch which features some more new footage!
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are back as Jenko and Schmidt. This time they set out on an undercover college adventure! Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller also returned for the sequel, and it looks just as fun as the first one.

Is everybody ready to get white boy wasted again on another trailer for Phil Lord and Chris Miller.s upcoming sequel 22 Jump Street? I hope you like your F-bombs completely eradicated, because this relatively cleaner green band preview replaces some of the racier red banded bits with some new footage, though not much. And seriously, we still hear "ass" four times and "bitch" once, so it.s not like this is still suitable for all audiences. Especially bitch ass bitches who can.t take the language. For instance, we get a shot of Jenko (Channing Tatum) warning Schmidt (Jonah Hill) that he might get hurt playing football, and then we see Schmidt get injured in a few different ways, including getting his ass broken in a tackle. I.m pretty dumbfounded that this trailer, via Yahoo! Movies, would include a Chris Brown and Rhianna relationship joke, which the world really...

There’s nothing wrong with this trailer for Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s “22 Jump Street” that a little cussing and middle finger giving can’t cure. Fortunately, if you’re in the mood for that, the studio released a Red Band version of the trailer yesterday, so check that one out here. For those of you with sensitive taste buds, take a gander at a softer, though still crotch-grabbing version of the trailer below. I didn’t know you could say “sonsofabitches” in a Green Band trailer. Go figure. After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt and Jenko when they go deep undercover at a local college. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill return, along with Ice Cube as their sassy black police Captain. Dave Franco and a hilarious Rob Riggle also show up, though I still thin it’s only in a brief cameo.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum return for the 21 Jump Street sequel, 22 Jump Street. And here are two trailers for it...
We're really, really looking forward to this. 21 Jump Street remains one of the best and most pleasant Hollywood comedy surprises of recent times, and as was teased at the end of that movie, the sequel is sending Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill to college.
Original directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord are back on board, and a pair of trailers have been released. Firstly, there's the red band trailer, which you shouldn't look at if you don't like swearing and stuff. You can see that here...
And then there's the international flavour of the trailer, which you can see here...
They don't look radically different trailers to us, but there are slight differences. So we've brought them you both.

Kicking off with a very meta explanation for the title change, the first Nsfw trailer for 22 Jump Street has hit, and it looks like directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have brought their a game yet again. Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are back to their old tricks, this time infiltrating college to take down a drug ring. The humour is at the level exhibited in the original, with Hill and Tatum seeming really at ease in their roles. An it's all topped off with hilarious cameos from some of the original's cast. Check it out for yourself below. Synopsis: After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene,...

The initial news of a movie reboot of the 80s tv series 21 Jump Street was met with skepticism by many. However, upon its release, the movie became a commercial and critical hit, and plans soon got underway for a sequel. Titled 22 Jump Street, the movie sees Phil Lord and Chris Miller once again share directing duties, with returning screenplay writer Michael Bacall joined this time by Rodney Rothman and Oren Uziel. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum reprise their roles, joined once again by Ice Cube and Nick Offerman. The first trailer for the film, which is a red-band, has now been released, and can be seen below.

Sony Pictures has just released the first trailer for 22 Jump Street, and it's a red-band. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill return as Jenko and Schmidt for another undercover adventure. This time they are headed to college! You'll also see a few familiar faces from the first movie. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the first film, and the second looks like it will at least be just as entertaining.

Released in 2012 to much success, the 21 Jump Street reboot was one of the most entertaining comedies to hit theatres in a long time. Led by Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, with directing team Phil Lord and Chris Miller behind the camera, a sequel was a no-brainer and with that same foursome (as well as some of the supporting players) returning for round 2, it appears that we’re in for another treat with 22 Jump Street.
Today, the first red band trailer for the film has hit the internet and it sees Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) going undercover again, only this time, it’s at college. Judging from the footage presented here, the sequel looks quite similar to its predecessor, at least in terms of plot. That being said, I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t cracking up at several points throughout the trailer. Plus, I love...

One of last year's biggest and best surprises was "21 Jump Street," a comedic reimaging of the beloved '80s cop series that starred Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as undercover cops sent back to high school to bust a deadly drug ring. The movie was wickedly funny, slyly subversive, and incredibly well directed (by animation vets Phil Lord and Chris Miller), all of which makes next year's "22 Jump Street" one of our most anticipated movies of the year. Especially after watching the red band trailer for the film.
The set-up for "22 Jump Street" seems to be similar to the first film, maybe a little too similar, with Tatum and Hill enrolling in a local college in order to crack another drug ring. Still, there are plenty of laughs to be had in the trailer, particularly when it comes to Hill and Tatum's acclimation to 2013-era college life, like coed bathrooms,...

The red-band trailer for 22 Jump Street, the sequel to the TV-to-film adaptation of 21 Jump Street has arrived and it's every bit as hilarious and crazy. Starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as two undercover cops who pose as college students to bust up a drug ring, the sequel looks like a total blast, which is what I'd expect, especially with directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller back in the driver's seat. Take a look: Here's the synopsis: After making their way through high school...

Heading south to work on their latest project, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill filmed "22 Jump Street" in Puerto Rico on Wednesday (December 11).
The "Magic Mike" star wore a black tank top reading "Sun's out guns out" while his funny co-star donned a red Hawaiian shirt and swim trunks as they hugged it out in the surf.
In the sequel, after making their way through high school again, officers Schmidt and Jenko go undercover at a local college.
Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, "22 Jump Street" is slated to hit theaters on June 13th, 2014.

21 Jump Street was one of the better comedies of last year, so hopes are very high for the return of Jenko (Channing Tatum) and Schmit (Jonah Hill), especially with directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller returning. Fans of 2012′s raucous action-comedy, “21 Jump Street,” are no doubt happy to know that the sequel is currently being filmed. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are returning, along with directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Tatum and Co. have released a behind-the-scenes video, which spoofs Jean-Claude Van Damme’s tongue-in-cheek “epic split” Volvo commercial.

“22 Jump Street” comes out next summer, on June 14. Not much is known about the plot or cast of the film except that, this time around, it will involve Jenko (Tatum) and Schmidt (Hill) going undercover at a college. Ice Cube is also set to return as foul-mouthed Captain Dickson. Negotiations with Korean Jesus have seemingly stalled, but insiders are confident he’ll return for part two.
Are you excited for the sequel? Can you do an epic split? Can Tatum take Van Damme?

You’ve likely already experienced the breathtaking beauty of the Jean-Claude Van Damme-starring Volvo Ad, where the action star demonstrates the most epic form of splits across two Volvo trucks. Set to Enya, it’s probably something you could put on a loop on a TV at a Pilates class or something. Not to be outdone, Channing Tatum has done his own little parody of the clip from the set of his latest film, the sequel to “21 Jump Street,” creatively titled “22 Jump Street” (apparently “21 Jump Street 2” was taken and the team moved over a block). Anyhow, as you might guess, the clip is pretty similar, but ends with a bit of pain. Check it out below. “22 Jump Street,” co-starring Jonah Hill and once again directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, hits theaters on June 13, 2014. This will have to tide you over until then.
