Exclusive: Comedian Tom Segura has identified the most promising vehicle yet to showcase his acting chops, as Deadline understands that he’s in talks for multiple roles in Dirty Rotten Bastard, a show biz-centric indie from Ed Helms & Mike Falbo’s Pacific Electric Picture Company.
Helmed by Ryan McNeely and Josh Martin, aka The Director Brothers, the film tells the insane true story of an aspiring filmmaker who is kidnapped by deranged lounge singer Tony Clifton. Segura will play legendary avant-garde comedian Andy Kaufman’s larger-than-life comedic persona Clifton, as well as the performer’s friend and longtime collaborator Bob Zmuda.

Playback singer Nikhita Gandhi in her collaboration with actress Ritabhari Chakraborty for her latest music video ‘Time’, delivers a peppy, foot tapping pop-rock song laced with the feeling of a strong romance, which ended before its time, with two lovers wishing they had more time.
Talking about her song, Nikhita stated: “The song is a really fresh record for the soundscape we are surrounded with these days! I love the loopy earworm that the lyrics ‘Time Baby’ give. It’s sort of freeing and at the same time brings out the frustration of not having enough time.”
In the track, she collaborated with fellow singer Siddhant Sharma, who provided the male vocals for the duet. The two harmonise in the song, balancing and complementing each other’s vocals.

Girls Trip’s Regina Hall and Black-ish’s Marsai Martin both star as Jordan Sanders — Hall as the take-no-prisoners tech mogul adult version of Jordan and Martin as the 13-year-old version of her who wakes up in her adult self’s penthouse just before a do-or-die presentation.
Insecure’s Issa Rae plays Jordan’s long-suffering assistant April, the only one in on the secret that her daily tormentor is now trapped in an awkward tween body just as everything is on the line. Little is an irreverent new comedy about the price of success, the power of sisterhood and having a second chance to grow up — and glow up — right.
Will Packer, blockbuster producer of Girls Trip, the Ride Along franchise, and ten movies that have opened No. 1 at the U.S. box office, including Night School, No Good Deed and Think Like a Man, brings an all-new perspective to the body-swap comedy.

Universal has released the first official trailer for Little, the forthcoming body-swapping comedy starring Regina Hall, Black-ish star Marsai Martin, and Insecure‘s Issa Rae. Tina Gordon directed the Will Packer Productions (Girls Trip) pic, which can be compared to films like Tom Hanks’ Big or Jennifer Garner’s 13 Going On 30 — but in reverse.
Hall plays Jordan Sanders, a snarky tech mogul who, from the trailer, shows little regard for her seemingly ambitious and obsequious assistant, April (Rae). After a confrontation with a young girl, Hall wakes up to find that she is a tween (Martin) again and has to lean on her assistant, the only one in on the secret, to run the company, while she heads back to grade school.
Girls Trip scribe Tracy Oliver co-wrote the screenplay with Gordon. It’s based on a pitch from 14-year old Martin, who serves as an executive producer along with Hall,...

Universal has moved its Robert Downey Jr movie The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle from its original April 12, 2019 release date to January 17, 2020, which is the four-day Mlk weekend.
This is also in an effort to capitalize on early winter rolling vacations overseas; not to mention, Q1 has served as a great play period for family fare including Sony’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle holdover business, which generated close to 60% of its $404.5 million domestic box office after Christmas, not to mention other titles like Disney’s Moana and Fox’s Night at the Museum 1 and 3, which legged out overseas in the January play period.
Dolittle was originally following in the wake of the first weekend of New Line’s Shazam! and on its new date faces Warner Bros’ Just Mercy and possibly Sony’s Bad Boys 3.

Welcome, Matt, to the Bau.
After most of the season has passed, Matt Simmons finally got his spotlight episode on Criminal Minds Season 13 Episode 19.
Simmons came over to the Bau as a refugee from the FBI's International Response Team, featured on Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, the better of Criminal Minds' two short-lived spinoffs.
That series always felt to me akin to Law & Order: Los Angeles, full of darkness offset by a good deal of light. That must have been because of the colorful locations and the positivity projected by Gary Sinese's Unit Chief Jack Garrett.

Simmons was Beyond Borders' second-best character, a solid family man seemingly unfazed by all the ugliness he investigated.

In an unfortunate coincidence for T.J. Miller, his Comedy Central series The Gorburger Show was cancelled on the same day that stories of an alleged sexual assault in his past surfaced. Since leaving Silicon Valley on less-than-friendly terms, Miller has landed several supporting roles in movies, but his first starring vehicle, the animated The Emoji Movie, flopped over the summer.

Daughn Gibson’s career is one that’s been as eclectic as his current output. Beginning as a drummer in various punk and metal bands, Gibson (whose real name is Josh Martin) has adapted the dark undertones of these heavier projects and morphed them into an amalgamation of deep vocals, choppy samples and pop mastery that results in an infectious but off-kilter sound. This unique styling is perfectly displayed in his latest single, “You Don’t Fade”, the second track to be released from his forthcoming sophomore album Me Moan on Sub Pop....
