AMC drama Mad Men is one of the best TV series of its era – or any other for that matter. The seven season-long saga of 1960s Madison Avenue advertising executive Don Draper (Jon Hamm) has rightfully taken its place among the classics in the TV canon. In addition to its greatness, however, another thing that Mad Men should be remembered for is its bizarre commitment to secrecy.
Mad Men was one of the most spoiler-phobic TV shows ever. Showrunner Matthew Weiner insisted that AMC’s promos for the drama reveal next-to-nothing about upcoming plots. A typical “on the next episode of Mad Men” advertisement might include stunning revelations such as someone entering a room, someone exiting a room, or God forbid: someone uttering a revealing line of dialogue like “what’s going on?”
Mad Men promos that say absolutely nothing became something of a meme. Fans have even cut together...

Fans of Chris Hardwick usually know him as the guy who gets us through those emotional moments from The Walking Dead universe on Talking Dead. Maybe by making audiences laugh with a standup comedy set or while hosting his “Id10T” podcast. Beyond all that The Wall host is also an avid collector and a big Disney fanatic, which makes him the perfect choice to helm the new series Up For Auction, which streams on the CW app. Throughout the eight episodes, Hardwick connects with Mike and Janeen Van Eaton of Van Eaton Galleries. The couple and their team are preparing an auction for “Toy Scout” Joel Magee, who has amassed the largest privately owned Disney Park memorabilia collection. Over three days, the magic number he is hoping for is a $5 million return from obsessed Disneyana collectors. Before being linked to CBS’ new late-night series “After Midnight,” Taylor Tomlinson had little connection to the world of broadcast TV and the ebbs and flow of nocturnal programming. She is best known as an up-and-coming comic who has found success with stand-up specials on Netflix and video clips on TikTok.
So how did a comedian known for her digital presence land a spot in the linear media world?
Executives at CBS have been hunting for months for someone to take over the network’s 12:30 a.m. slot, but with the realization that the business of wee-hours TV is in flux. The new program is said to cost significantly less to produce than James Corden’s tenure at “The Late Late Show,” a program that had been on CBS, with several hosts, since 1995. “All the broadcast networks in that space have to be really thoughtful about what we spend,...

Taylor Tomlinson will take over James Corden’s time slot, as she will host After Midnight, officially replacing The Late Late Show, which has been on the air since 1995.
On last night’s episode of The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert acted as if they were still looking for a host to the show he leads into. It wasn’t looking great until one of the audience members chimed in: “I was just thinking…I could do it.” Met with cheers, Taylor Tomlinson was officially announced as the next host of the ~12:30 a.m. slot.
Taking the chair next to Colbert, Taylor Tomlinson expressed her excitement with, “I’ve never had a real job…I’ve been doing standup since I was 16, which is not a job!” She also let viewers in on how long the process has taken and the stress she went through. “This has been a really fun couple months.

CBS has tapped stand-up comedian Taylor Tomlinson to host its new late night franchise “After Midnight.” The series is executive produced by Stephen Colbert, who announced Tomlinson during Wednesday’s episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Tomlinson then discussed the news with Colbert on stage.
Tomlinson’s recent TV credits include her Netflix comedy specials “Look At You” and “Quarter Life Crisis.”
As announced earlier today, “After Midnight” will launch in early 2024 in the slot previously held by “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” It’s based on “@midnight,” which followed “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report” from October 2013 to August 2017, was a panel series with mostly guest comedians, who would interact with host Chris Hardwick.
Earlier this year Tomlinson sealed a deal with Netflix for her next two standup specials to premiere on the streamer. Tomlinson taped her latest special in Washington, D.C., for a 2024 premiere date.

"Futurama" is a show that has had several different lives throughout its existence, which now extends for close to 25 years. One thing the beloved animated series has never had though? A spin-off. But it wasn't for a lack of discussing such a thing, and it turns out a spin-off series came close to happening at one point. While it never came to pass, fan-favorite characters Zapp Brannigan and his trusty pal Kif were talked about as possible subjects for just such a thing.
Speaking with Chris Hardwick on the "Futurama" series final post-show, voice actor Maurice Lamarche, who voices Kif, as well as executive producer David X. Cohen discussed this spin-off series that never came to be. When asked hypothetically by Hardwick which characters they would like to see get a spin-off, Lamarche responded with, "Didn't we come close to a Zapp and Kif spin-off in real life?" Cohen then...

When it emerged that CBS was eschewing a traditional talkshow at 12:30am following the departure of The Late Late Show host James Corden for a reboot of Comedy Central gameshow @midnight, many in the late-night community worried that it was another nail in the genre’s coffin.
However, CBS CEO George Cheeks said that the way he’s looking at it is that that slot is “ripe for reinvention” and said that the move doesn’t mean that it would never bring back a more traditional late-night show in that slot.
“It’s an irreverent comedy gameshow with stand-up comics and guests, it has a really nice feel coming out of [The Late Show with Stephen] Colbert,” he said during a Deadline moderated panel at the Banff Media Festival. “There’s not a ton of people watching linear TV at that hour, you really do need to think about...

With the writers strike into its second month and a potential actors strike looming, someone is going to have to find a middle ground. And on Tuesday, the head of CBS George Cheeks outlined one way in which the writers and the studios could still find a compromise.
It has something to do with windowing and the licensing content. Streaming residuals has been one of the WGA’s key sticking points in negotiations with the AMPTP, namely because there aren’t enough of them. But if streamers started rethinking hoarding all their content exclusively and instead were open to windowing or licensing their shows and movies to other outlets, whether that’s putting them back on cable or broadcast, on other streamers, or on Fast (free ad-supported streaming television) services, suddenly there’s new opportunities to pay out residuals.

This post contains spoilers for "Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462."
Early in its eight-season run, AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead" crossed over into a 16-part web series, "Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462," which followed the breakout of the zombie apocalypse aboard a commercial flight bound for Phoenix, Arizona. In the series, Michelle Ang's character, Alex, is always one step ahead of the other passengers when it comes to dealing with "walkers." She can recognize the signs that a person is infected, knows when to tie them up or lock them in the restroom, and knows where to aim a gun or knitting needle in order to put one down.
In real life, however, Ang was much more in the dark than her character when it came to her place in the "Walking Dead" universe. "Flight 462" premiered in October 2015, the same day that "Fear the Walking Dead" wrapped up its first season.

Before becoming one of the most divisive filmmakers in horror with the likes of Halloween and The Munsters, Rob Zombie was just a musician trying his hand at the film industry. House of 1000 Corpses came together fairly quickly following a failed attempt to reboot The Crow, but the rock star’s Hollywood career almost never was due to post-production controversy that left his directorial debut on the shelf for three years.
Production on Corpses was completed in 2000 before Universal Studios refused to release it due to its objectionable content. MGM later came on board to distribute it in 2002 until a tongue-in-cheek remark by Zombie caused them to cancel the deal. Finally, Lions Gate signed on and released it in April of 2003, launching Zombie’s film career as well as a franchise that would be followed by 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects and 2019’s 3 from Hell.
Unsure if he’d ever...

Finally, Lions Gate signed on and released it in April of 2003, launching Zombie’s film career as well as a franchise that would be followed by 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects and 2019’s 3 from Hell.

If James Corden hadn’t stepped down, CBS would have “happily” continued “The Late Late Show,” executive producer Rob Crabbe believes. In the wake of reports that CBS plans to replace the late night staple with a reboot of “@midnight,” Crabbe shared his thoughts on the upcoming revival.
“It’s hard to start these things, so it probably made more financial sense for them to shift over to ‘@midnight,'” Crabbe told TheWrap. “So I think they made a good decision in what they need for this time slot. James is heading back to England, so there’s not really a continuation of this show.”
Crabbe emphasized that he, fellow EP Ben Winston and Corden are not associated with the rumored “@midnight” reboot and that he only knows about it due to reports from the press. To his knowledge, there have not been conversations about “The Late Late Show” staffers...

Adele’s Carpool Karaoke return will air this Thursday at 10/9c in the primetime special The Last Last Late Late Show with James Corden Carpool Karaoke Special, but you can watch the full segment above,...

Rob Zombie is an incredibly successful recording artist, known for songs like "Dragula" and "Living Dead Girl," as well as his song "More Human Than Human" with the band White Zombie, with nearly 6 million albums sold. That is one heck of a career spanning over three decades, and that's not including the man's movie career, which has been going steady for 20 years now, dating back to 2003's gory cult classic "House of 1000 Corpses." But, unlike his music career, Zombie's movie career got off to an incredibly rocky start — and at first, it seemed like his debut feature would never see the light of day.
