Ross Kemp has said that David James’s knowledge of cats in the new series of Bridge of Lies left his “jaw on the floor”.
The show, which became a hit daytime quiz series after it first came out in March 2022, returns in a new Saturday night slot on BBC One, with teams of celebrity contestants competing for the first time.
Actor and TV presenter Kemp, best known for playing Grant Mitchell EastEnders and presenting documentaries, including Ross Kemp on Gangs, returns to host the show.
The 58-year-old said the series has “glammed up a bit” but that he still considers himself Little Mr Saturday Night rather than Mr Saturday Night.
Kemp said he “laughed the most” while filming the third episode of the show with the stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK – Lawrence Chaney, Tia Kofi, Kitty Scott-Claus and The Vivienne.

Exclusive: Monkey Kingdom, the NBCUniversal-owned British production company, has apologized profusely after mistaking comedian Dane Baptiste for actor Richard Blackwood during an exchange with the former.
Baptiste tweeted about the error on Monday, revealing that an unnamed TV production company sent him a press photo for his approval. Instead of sending an image of Baptiste, however, the company sent one of Blackwood.
“Tv production company just sent me press shots of myself to approve before they start the press run. This is the picture the sent Me of Me,” he wrote in a post that has now been retweeted nearly 3,500 times. “I swear on my mother’s soul they sent it.”

Exclusive: A trio of Black Hollyoaks actors have spoken out about the “systemic racism” that exists at producer Lime Pictures and the TV industry in general following the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement.
In a special episode of the Channel 4 soap’s Don’t Filter Feelings podcast, actors Richard Blackwood (Felix Westwood), Talia Grant (Brooke Hathaway), Trevor A Toussaint (Walter Deveraux) shared their experiences of racism and reflections on working in the business.
“Systemic racism exists in all stratas of society, and television is no exception to that. Lime, who I work for, is no exception to this,” Toussaint said. The actor noted that there is not one person of color in a position of authority at Lime, while he added that he has only worked with two Black directors since joining the show in 2018, and not a single Black producer.

This crime caper aims at randomness but fails to filter what’s amusing from what’s offensive
Just when you thought tuppenny-ha’penny crime capers had gone into remission, here’s a dog-eared calling card from writer-director-stars Amar Adatia and Peter Peralta, floating a sub-Harold and Kumar double-act as aggressively horny underdogs incurring MI5 suspicion while striving to pay off landlord Richard Blackwood. It’s aiming for randomness – slurs are offered against Liz from Atomic Kitten’s ladyparts; there’s a crossdressing dwarf – although some constants emerge: threadbare production values, underqualified performers and a failure to filter the amusingly crass from the merely offensive. I’m not calling it inept, but it’s the kind of film where Scotland Yard memos warn of activity by “Al Queda” [sic] – an Iberian torch singer, perhaps?

Leon Lopez has joined 'EastEnders'. The 36-year-old actor - who is known for playing Jerome Johnson in 'Brookside' between 1999 and 2002 - is set to cause a stir next week when he rocks up in Walford as the foster brother of Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood). Speaking to the Digital Spy, he said of his new role on the soap: ''I'm so excited to be working on 'EastEnders' and still can't believe it! It really is a dream come true.'' Although some people won't be best pleased to see a newbie on the Square, it seems Linford's arrival has come just at the...

EastEnders' Richard Blackwood used to have a crush on 'Emmerdale's Gemma Atkinson. The 43-year-old actor, who portrays Vincent Hubbard in the BBC One soap, feels ''privileged'' to be up against the blonde beauty - known for playing Carly Hope in the ITV show - for the Best Newcomer at next week's National Television Awards (NTAs) as he used to have a soft spot for her. Asked if he's been keeping an eye on his competitors since the shortlist was announced, he said: ''The irony for me is that I used to fancy Gemma! I feel privileged to be in the same...

Richard Blackwood doesn't care if he gets axed from 'EastEnders.' The 43-year-old actor may have only walked onto Walford as badboy bar owner Vincent Hubbard 11 months ago, but he's admitted he's not particularly bothered if BBC bosses decide to give him the chop in the next coming months. He explained: ''However long I've got, I don't mind. It's done so much for me about showing I am a credible actor. ''A lot of people didn't know I could do it. I've proved what I can do. So however long I'm there, I'll be grateful.'' The handsome star made his first appearance on...

Richard Blackwood thinks 'EastEnders' should ''hoover up every award'' at the National Television Awards 2016. The 43-year-old actor - who plays bad boy Vincent Hubbard in the BBC soap - very boldly tipped the show to triumph over its competitors and says he feels ''privileged'' to be a part of it. EastEnders fans are surely rejoicing at the news that Dean Gaffney will be returning as Robbie Jackson after five years away.
Hapless Robbie has become a fan favourite over the years, but Gaffers himself has been entertaining us in the meantime in various ways. Here are a few highlights:
1. EastEnders: Wellard and well unlucky in love
When you think of Robbie Jackson, you probably instantly think of Wellard, one of the best soap dogs of all time. Aside from his friendship with the loyal mutt, Robbie actually had quite a lot of genuinely dramatic storylines, including having to work as a road sweeper for years.
His girlfriend's dad sent him to hospital after accusing him of rape, while he had a strained relationship with his estranged father. He didn't possess the womanising powers of his popstar counterpart, and had to call off his first engagement after she cheated on him.

Guests on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch are expected to get involved with the cooking, and unfortunately for Eastenders star Richard Blackwood, this proved to be his undoing.
We're no dab hands at cooking ourselves, and could only cringe (with a soupçon of empathy) when things took a turn for the worst. The actor was asked to zest a lemon, but obviously had no clue what to do.

Happy 25th birthday to This Morning, which celebrates its silver anniversary today (October 3).
The famous ITV daytime show's current hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were joined by original hosts Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan for a special episode at This Morning's first home in Liverpool's Albert Docks.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, here's Digital Spy's pick of This Morning's most memorable moments.
1. Booyakasha!
Who could forget Richard Madeley's misjudged and horrendously toe-curling Ali G impersonation? He appeared on our screens completely in character, right down to the drawn-on goatee, while an awkward Judy Finnegan visibly cringed and attempted to plough on with the show.
2. Two Vaginas Lady
Well done Holly Willoughby, who was able to keep a straight face while explaining that poor Hazel Jones has a medical condition which means she has two vaginas. The discussion spanned double periods, the difficulty of inserting tampons and some very graphic camera shots.

Fancy watching some poor punter getting a back, sack and crack from Rustie Lee? Want a waxing from Helen Flanagan? Is Arg from Towie delivering pedicures what you've been waiting for all these years? Well, wait no more people. Celebrity Super Spa has arrived.
I've already had the joy of watching episode one of Super Spa. I've seen the awkward and cringeworthy hosts. I've seen Helen Flanagan prancing around without any trousers on. I've seen Rustie Lee cackling. 867 times.
And I'll probably watch it all over again tonight (September 13) when it airs on Channel 5. Firstly, because I'm a glutton for terrible television. Secondly, because I'm fairly convinced it may be the most desperate celebrity reality show ever concieved. Even by Channel 5's late night standards, this is awful. It makes The Bachelor look like The Sopranos.
So where does the show fit in the history of degrading and embarrassing celebrity reality shows?...

Richard Blackwood underwent a rectal examination for prostate cancer live on This Morning earlier today (June 11).
The 41-year-old was filmed receiving a Digital Rectal Examination (Dre) from the show's resident medical expert Dr Chris Steele in a segment supporting ITV's 'Stand By Your Man' campaign, which aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer and encourage men to get checked.
Speaking to host Phillip Schofield, Blackwood said that he felt a duty as a "strong black role model" to illustrate how relatively quick and painless the procedure can be, given men of African and African Caribbean descent are three times more likely to get prostate cancer.
"Men have this phobia of being checked, of being vulnerable, so I'm showing as a man not to be afraid and go get it done," he said.

Having spent the last year sat in screening rooms and cinemas watching over 200 of 2011′s cinematic offerings, it stands to reason that I’m going to have to sit through a fair share of duds. As I had seen the vast majority of the key Oscar plays before November, I spent the latter part of the year dedicating myself to seeking out the worst, most lowest common denominator fare ripe for a skewering, and with these twenty dreadful pictures, we have what are, in my opinion, the 20 biggest train wrecks of 2011. Note that Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star is still awaiting worldwide DVD release and didn’t get distribution in the U.K., so that’s one that I was forced to avoid, but I’m assured that it’s irredeemably horrible nevertheless. Anyway, on with the list…

To mark the release of Anuvahood on DVD and Blu-ray 4th July, Revolver have given us three copies of the DVD to give away along with a t-shirt and a stickers.
Following the recent conveyor belt of gritty and dramatic urban films, Anuvahood is a comedic coming of age story that adds a refreshing air of levity to the urban genre. Shot on-location in West-London, Anuvahood is a hysterical trip through London’s concrete jungle; featuring a host of colourful, comical characters along the way where their well-intentioned antics inevitably result in hysterical consequences.

Amanda Holden got to leave the Britain’s Got Talent judging table for a few minutes tonight, as she and the cast of Shrek performed on the huge stage during the results show.
We were kind of shocked by the performance, having previously insisted that the actress had no real talent of her own we had to eat our words as she sang I’m A Believer and was actually quite tuneful.
In fact, we would go as far as to suggest she was probably more in key than Cheryl Cole during her last X Factor performance, though in fairness she didn’t have the energetic dance routine to contend with.
After the performance, Simon Cowell addressed the performers and grudgingly praised his fellow judge saying:

We have to hold our hands up and admit that Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden may be mildly talented herself.
We admit that we have in the past questioned her credibility and ability to judge reality TV hopefuls, when it seems that she can’t even critique them without seeming as wooden as our kitchen table….which we suppose is actually glass but that’s not the point.
However, in the video below the actress is seen singing ‘I’m A Believer’ with her fellow cast members of Shrek: The Musical and in fairness she can hold a tune.
Also featured in the clip are Nigel Lindsay, Richard Blackwood and Nigel Harman. who will join Holden in the West End version of the popular kids movie franchise.
Our only tip to Holden…..lay off the botox and collagen for a while…..you’re coming dangerously close to a trout pout there!
