Phillippe is the proud father of three kids. He shares two children, daughter Ava, 17, and son Deacon, 13, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, and has another daughter, 5-year-old Kai, with ex Alexis Knapp.

While chatting with Et's Katie Krause, the New Castle, Delaware, native admitted that he and Witherspoon aren't always considered cool parents.

‘Shooter’ Series Creator John Hlavin on Adapting ‘Point of Impact’ Novel for TV

9 June 2017 9:45 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

When USA Network debuted “Shooter” a week after the U.S. presidential election, series creator John Hlavin couldn’t have predicted American politics would mirror a major theme of the show, which stars Ryan Phillippe as Bob Lee Swagger, an ex-Marine marksman who must protect the president from an assassination plot that leads to Russian operatives. Hlavin talks to Variety about adapting Stephen Hunter’s 1993 novel “Point of Impact” for the small screen.

When you were starting out, what was your vision for your career?

I went to high school with Anthony and Joe Russo, who did the “Captain America” movies. I came out of college thinking maybe I wanted to direct. Anthony and I lived [in L.A.] together for three years, and at that point I had shifted more into writing. The vision was to have a career as a screenwriter. But I assumed it meant something that it wasn’t — in that the job was sort of »

Final Trailer for Magic Box Horror Film 'Wish Upon' Starring Joey King

23 May 2017 9:02 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"Want your wish granted?" You know what, I don't think I do. Broad Green Pictures has debuted on final trailer for the horror film Wish Upon, arriving in theaters this summer after being delayed for a few months. We've already seen a few other trailers before, and this one just rehashes all that same footage, so you should know what to expect by now (including most of the kills). The plot is about a high school girl who finds a mysterious, magical box that grants her wishes - mostly to get revenge on those bullying her. But she must pay the price when her requests turn into nightmares. Joey King (from The Conjuring, White House Down) stars, also with Sherilyn Fenn, Ryan Phillippe, Elisabeth Röhm, Shannon Purser, Ki Hong Lee, Sydney Park and Alice Lee. As much as this seems like a cool horror concept, I'll likely pass on this. »
