Very cool

This title gets a lot of bad reviews but most of the reviews on IMDB come from Americans and I often noticed that they always give bad reviews to what is not an American production, while they give a lot of stars to those stupid, childish, horrible super heros movies like Captain America, a real garbage. American movies have become unwatchable and I'm happy that on Netflix I can watch a lot of cool movies. Most of them from Spain, some from France and a few from other countries. Anyway, let's go back to Eden: Beautiful picture, nice costume, nice cast, not a bad acting at all, intriguing plot. Probably if you are young, a party goer or loving exotic islands or also loving psychedelic, you will enjoy it even more. Keep in mind that I'm 75 and I loved it anyway. If you are a close mind family person, living in some small conservative town, maybe this movie is not for you.

6 Underground (2019)

Best action ever

Lot of useless blah blah. This is the perfect action movie. Great cinematography, incredible editing, beautiful locations, action packed. Shot like I have never seen before. I can understand that it can be too fast for people who are not used to this speed and, for them, following is stressing. Clips average duration, from 1 to 2 second. Probably there is 4 or 5,000 cuts in the movie. What to say? It's flawless. Amazing.

Ah ah! As usual the first posts are very supportive (who knows who actually writes them!). On the opposite tonight I did one of the mistakes of my TV life : I did not keep the promise of not watching 2.5 men again to not destroy what I remember about the ex most funny show I ever watched. I don't even know where to start so let's start from before watching. I was thinking that Kutcher is nice, funny and handsome so if he was there from the beginning at the place of Sheen and today the situation was inverted we liked him even more than Sheen. First mistake, Kutcher does not work. After - guilty for this disaster are: James Widdoes who is the weaker director among the ones who directed this show, C.Lorre who obviously does not have anymore fantasy, John Cryer thinks this is his opportunity and push too much his acting.... The show it self is old. The magic moment is over, the engine is broken, les jeux sont faits et rien ne va plus. Angus T Jones (Jake) delivers a good performance but his character has been reduced as today he is no more fat and smiling as he was in the first 5 seasons, he is no more funny and can't go on farting and that's it as Alan can't hope to make us laughing insisting on joke as the peanut butter on his testicles.....2.5 man has been rated 7.5 by IMDb watchers in the past, this season gets an average of 6.1 not forgetting that it started with a 6.8 and tonight its rating is 5.4 The first episode has been watched by 28 M people, last week 16M. what else? On IMDb is written: Two and a Half Men - TV series - 2003 /? In my opinion it should be written: Two and a Half Men - TV series - 2003 / ASAP.

I wrote " the show has changed and it will be another show but maybe it will be anyway watchable", OK, in part I was right and in part wrong. That's right the show is another show, wrong: Maybe this show will be anyway watchable.This show is becoming unwatchable.To check if the audience still like it in the same way I took a stupid parameter: votes of the 3rd episodes of all the seasons on IMDb. MMMMM !! The fall is fast and becoming furious although the reintroduction of Jake and Judith. The problem is that now nothing works. Alan is getting older and more pathetic, Walden looks really too dumb and is boring. Not guests as "Charlie's girls" (someone very funny like Alan's second wife) and Evelyn's lovers.Even Berta is no more funny. Aiaiai! In the past I was admiring Chuck Lorre a lot for his genial creations and I started to watch Big Bang Theory only because was a Lorre's creation. I did not like C.Sheen till I watched him in this show and for longtime I thought that the script and the directors were deserving its success. WRONG ! Unbelievable but Charlie was the only column of this show as Jim Parson in BBT. So we have to accept that Sheen is more than winner he is WINNER !

I loved Charlie Sheen but I like Kutcher as well. Beside the bad taste of that stupid funeral and the stupid firing of Sheen for out of the work reasons, the show has changed and it will be another show. Kutcher is nice and enough good but he can't replace Sheen in this show. Maybe this show will be anyway watchable but it is another show. Alan does not work anymore and he is the real new embarrassing problem. His acting is slow and no fake, off scene, laughing can save him. More, the half man is no more half, at least 4/5 so let's change the title too. Like "The Billionaire & the Loser" Season 1. ah ah! (I put my fake laughs too).

The problem is that now is somehow funny when Ashton is on the scene (by the way less than Sheen) but the main character now is Alan and, unbelievable, he is no more funny. Before I was thinking that John Cryer is a great actor but today I understood that he is very weak and without Sheen he is lost. Watching Charlie's house without Charlie is sad and the show, which was one of the best and funniest ever, now is a normal average comedy which needs a lot of fake, off scene, recorded laughs to stand up. This show is dead and it would be right to change the house and the title, trying to build a new show and not this hybrid mess. The 1st episode is supported by a special guest John Stamos and showing Kutcher naked but in the future? Lorre! You have to accept that you made a big mistake firing Sheen and you killed your own show for close mind reasons. I always thought you are a genius but obviously even geniuses can make enormous mistakes.More I have read a lots of comments anywhere and 90% of people want Sheen back. Sheen is the real winner again and even if he seems to me ridicule when he screams that he is a WINNER, I have to accept that he is right. Before 2&HM I did not like C.S. but he made this comedy great and I changed mind. I don't care for his style of private life and Lorre surprised me when he took out the mask showing that he is a bigot, close mind person. I was his fun, also for Big Bang Theory, but that show too is going down and I understand that he is funny only because Jim Parsons (Sheldon) is great. Let's fire him too and kill also this other show. Ah ah (going on putting fake laughs).

Welcome to the South (2010)

Great and sweet movie

This movie is a remake of a French movie: "Bienvenue chez les ch'tis" which is the higher French box office of all times and it is even better than the original. I fluently speak French,I saw, understood and liked the original one but I loved this one better, maybe because I can understand better the difference of mentality between southern and northern Italian people (I'm Italian myself). Both movies are really funny and positive. It should be interesting an American remake. The idea could be: let's send a white racist man to work in a black neighbour and make him understand how much black people can be nice, funny and friendly. The story: a racist guy from Milan (north Italy) is transfered from a post office in Milan to another one in a little southern city and after many funny situations he falls in love for this new place (I don't want to spoil more). I suggest to every Italian moviegoer to watch this little great movie, maybe it will not change your way to think but for sure it will make you laughing.

By far the worst movie ever

This movie is really a very bad movie. The story could be interesting and probably the book is a good book but the theatrical adaptation is pathetic. Julia Roberts should be a woman with a life crisis after the failing of her marriage and starts a long trip around the world to find back herself. She seems a totally dumb woman who does not know herself and does not know what she wants. Dialogs are pathetic and the movie is so boring, terribly boring. I don't want to say that this is a classical women movie because I have a better opinion of women and I guess (because of the general vote:5) that also women did not like this garbage.More: This movie is an ignorant insult to Italy. Every scene which they shot in Rome shows buildings in desperate conditions and women dressed like 70 years ago in the countryside with an unreal Italian country music played by accordion (an instrument which Italian music players have no more used in the last many decades. I don't want spend more time talking about this horrible movie which I totally disliked as moviegoer and as being an Italian.Now I understand why American People sometimes think that outside the States there is only wild and backwardness, it is because ignorant and stupid directors, as Ryan Murphy obviously is, describes other countries. My vote 1

Why so many actors don't know how to choose their next movies? Zac Efron started as an unknown actor with the musical college series and, as he is a good actor, handsome, good dancer with a killer body, reached immediately a great success. This new movie is opening tonight so I still don't know its box office but I already know that this movie will not cash more than 35M (optimistical)and I can bet.Efron never will have a career as great as Brad Pitt and although he already has been booked for several movies his career is already in danger. (I hope to be wrong because I like this actor and I wish him all the best) Why I say that? because I saw too many times actors wrongfully choosing their movies and remain always in the second line. Very bad actors, as Bruce Willis is, have had a great career only because they have been good choosing what to do. Orlando Bloom destroyed his career acting in "Elisabethville" with Kirsten Dunst. Both those last two ones are actors without personality and started a great career just being in Movies as Lord of the ring or Pirates of Caribbean (Bloom) or Spyderman (Dunst). Now they have been already burned while acting in Elisabethville whose destiny was an obvious flop from the beginning. Jennifer Aniston is a star because has been in Friends and married and lost Brad Pitt,becoming a constant presence in gossip magazine,but her movies don't cash, why? Because they are ugly and she is not able to choose the good ones.How is possible that famous agents, producers, actors and directors so often don't have any clue about what to do? I know almost always when a movie will cash a lot of money and when not, why they don't know?. Producers pay a lot of money for actors who have been in great movies and they still don't understand that only the director is the key and all the actors who become star started in a successful movie which has been shot by a great director. Sometimes actors go on with right choices and sometimes not. Many years ago one of my friends,an Italian producer, financed a movie: Cin Cin with Marcello Mastroianni and Julie Andrews. I asked him: Are you crazy? Nobody will see this movie! He asked me: why? I said:Mastroianni is old, Andrews is old, the title is horrible. He told me: Mastroianni is famous in Europe and well known and respected in USA, Andrews is famous anywhere,Cin Cin is a...sparkling title, I'am sure we'll cash very good. I answered: Ah Ah Ah! he told me: Do you want to bet? I said: Yes. After the flop he told me: you were right just because you have been lucky because the last Stallone's movie monopolized the audience. My conclusion: they don't know what to do and they don't understand even after the flop why they failed and go on with the same mistakes. Some time producers go on paying 20M to actors who have been a star but too old and no more successful (see Bruce Willis or Kevin Costner now). Why I say all that while talking about Efron? Because I don't understand how people with experience in this field so often do such big mistakes while it seems to me very easy to know what the audience likes. I find just one answer: they don't go to the movie theater and their only experience is by working but they are not really connected with the taste of the general audience. Actors, Directors, Producers: before starting a new movie do ask their opinion to your sons, friends who are used to go to the theater ecc! don't ask only to the professionals because they don't know nothing else than how to do their work. I look forward to see tomorrow the box office of this movie and to know how much it will cash in total as I already know that this movie will cash 7 times the money which will cash today Friday 30 July. Wanna bet?

I think that Chuck Lorre is a genius. I loved "2 and 1/2 man" and maybe even more "The big bang theory". Characters have been always various and perfectly designed, showing a great psychological knowledge of different humanity. But............ I super-loved Charlie from the first episode of the first year and I'm crazy for Alan, but............ what the hell happened to the real Charlie in the 6th season? Charlie is not Charlie anymore. Now he is REALLY stupid (before he was not, only apparently superficial, actually a super-cool guy) he is becoming an Alan copy, he fall in love for an annoying classical woman, egoist and full of request, he even gave her an engagement ring and he is still with her after an entire season. This is not the Charlie we know. Where are the gorgeous women he was used hang with in the past seasons? If I want to see the sad love stories of every day it is enough for me watching my loser friends with their pathetic fiancees. I loved the series as it was and this changing has been very delusional for me and my "2 and half men" watching buddies. WOW! What - a - movie !!!!!!!!!!! I'm not at all a fan of contemporary Italian directors. Usually I don't like dramas. I am not a Will Smith super fan even thinking that he is a very good actor......but this movie ! It is such a great movie with a such original script and so good direction and so well acting...wow...it is stunning. This movie captured my attention minute by minute and I even did not like "The pursuit of happiness" (maybe also because i did not like the acting of Will's son who is a very bad actor while children usually seems all natural born actors, I saw him also last night in "The day the earth stood still" and I confirmed my sensation that Jaden can't act). I don't want to write spoilers and so i don't talk about the story but what I can say is that this movie talks about Love, Death and other feelings which i don't like to watch in movies....but THIS MOVIE is such a super great movie. If you have a minimum of heart you'll don't regret watching it

Why this pathetic come back?

I have been one of the most huge Stallone's fan. I watched all his movies and I loved them all. I loved even movies which nobody liked. I loved not only the Rocky's series I liked "Over the top", "Cobra", and also "Get Carter", I loved "First Blood" a lot, I liked "Rambo 2" (Not so much "Rambo3" and "Copland"). Last night I went and see "Rocky 6" just to pay my tribute to this man but I was not sure about this movie. Honestly "Rocky 6" sucks. This movie is very boring and a little bit pathetic. I don't think that rating this movie 7.9 is honest. The story of Rocky 6 is parallel to Stallone's story: an old boxer, out of the game since some years get the occasion of a come back while his life is flat and out of the game. Almost all movie is a sad poor dialog between Rocky and Paulie (Burt Young) remembering Adrian, no action, nothing. 3 times in this movie there is a scene showing Stallone to the cemetery in front of Adrian's grave. Just at the end there is an old fashion training leading to an old fashion fight, Rocky vs the new young champion. Obviously I'm not saying here how it ends and who will be the winner. If you want to pay your tribute to this former great star go and see this movie but don't get the illusion to watch something good because this movie really sucks.

Jim Cavietzel can speak! Great news for people who care. Just kidding. This movie is very cool. At the beginning I was hoping in a very technological and maybe political movie. After some tens of minutes it becomes sci-fi and the evolution is a little bit really "deja' vu", I mean that the second part is a little predictable. Anyway Tony Scott is a good director, cinematography and acting are great,and we have an almost new beautiful actress Paula Patton.Denzel Washington got fat so Val Kilmer but they are a good presence anyway. The rhythm is good as in the action scenes as while talking. A movie for all. If you are man, woman,old, young and blah blah..you all have the same odd to enjoy this movie.Maybe if you like only independent movies and I mean "just" independent movie you don't have to go.

People who rates this movie just 1 is unfair, they like the traditional Bond and are too tough with this one. People rating this movie 10 are for sure people working for the production company. The very truth is what follows. Daniel Craig is a cool actor but is very wrong for James Bond. Bond is a classy man, Craig is a tacky and ordinary guy. While he is wearing a tuxedo he looks like a restaurant maitre. Bond must look like an English man and Craig looks like a former Yugoslav soldier. When a couple of years ago the production company indicated Daniel Craig as the new Bond we all did not like him, later they pushed him so much and showed us surveys where it looks that 70% of the people like Craig more than Brosnam and step by step we all accepted Craig as a new possibility. But let's talk about the movie. At the beginning Casino Royal starts with a great long scene where Bond pursuits, running,a black very athletic guy and that is the best scene of the movie. Later just boring. If you liked the traditional Bonds this movie is not for you. It does not even look as another Bond movie. The ambiance and the cinematography seems more similar to horror movies like "Saw". In this movie Bond does not get any gadget or technology, never uses alternative vehicles (fast boats, wave runners, bikes ecc.,nothing). Craig is in better shape than the prior Bonds but the acting...mmmmmm, for sure he will not receive an Oscar for his performance. The scheme of this movie is exactly the traditional scheme: it stars with an action scene, later nothing cool happens for 100 minutes and it ends with a short action scene. In the meanwhile it is boring and visually ugly. It is a completely new way to shoot a Bond movie, it is more actual but maybe it was better give to this movie a title like: "The adventure of an eastern spy" and show that to another target. I don't think that this movie will be loved by Bond's fans.The real disaster is the section make up, costumes, hairdressing. Those particulars are so vulgar and ugly to make us watching ugly even Eva Green who is, on the opposite, very very very beautiful (did you see "The dreamers" or "Kingdom of heaven"?). Bond's shirts can make Sears shirts looking classy and elegant. Real rate is 4. The director, Martin Campbell, who is the same of "The legend of Zorro", "Vertical limit" and other movies which never reached the rate 6 on IMDb, never has been a great one and, at 66 years old, wants to give a modern dress to this movie, but for doing that you must be 35. Go if you are curious but don't expect anything really good.

What a ugly disaster ! (Really ugly)

In all my life I watched 7 or 8 movies as ugly as this one is. How is it possible that all those people rate this garbage 7.9? This is a movie divided in 3 episodes artificially connected each other. Three different stories, but the director wanted connect them to give a continuity solution to this movie. Really the cinematography is very poor, the music is boring and elementary, the story is so slow and empty that make you shake on the seat for 2 and half desperate hours. Usually in this situation people say: "Save your time and your money!" but the money is nothing in proportion of the time and the terrible boredom. Every episode is stretched to make the movie too long and the interest is almost zero. No originality, no show, no message, nothing intriguing just boredom and boredom. I don't know who is so powerful to push this "movie" but you have to not fall in the trap. Save yourself or you deserve the punishment you'll receive watching it. Boring, boring,boring and stupid, stupid, stupid. Alejandro González Iñárritu has been good creating "Amores perros" but after he seems to me still learning and he does not get at all the sensibility for the timing. Is Brad Pitt (not at his best performance) at the sunset of his career exactly as already happened to every big star at his age? (See Stallone and Schwarzy, later K.Costner, recently Tom Cruise and now Pitt?). I don't know. I just know that I'm furious for the very heavy and boring and irritating 2 and half hours of my life I totally wasted in the theater. I don't even know why I rated this movie 2 instead of 1. Sorry for my bad English but I'm an Italian guy. DON'T GO!

Little Man (III) (2006)

Superfunny!

I can't believe how a so funny movie can get a so low rating. If you decide to go and watch this movie after watching its trailers for sure you will not be deluded. The general idea is very original and the special visual effect is perfect. A lot of funny situations make you L.O.L. Wayans brothers are really very good comedians and the director is very good. I loved this movie as I loved "Bad Santa". People in the movie theater seemed enjoy very much and they applauded at the end. Keenen Ivory Wayans directed "Scary movie" and "White cheeks" too, so you already know what you are going for. Some nice cameos by famous actors give an extra-touch to this movie. I'm a white man but I have often noticed that when a movie has a black director and a black cast a lot of people give low rate just for that. We have to accept that a lot of good black movie creators (Spike Lee, Antoine Fuqua, John Singleton, and others)are ready to make good or funny movies and they are very welcome

The Island (2005)

Nice movie with something wrong

The script is the best thing in this movie. Michael Bay is a great director but he is not the right one for this movie. A couple of fantastic car-action scenes are in this movie but they should be not. This is not BadBoys II, it looks more similar to Artificial Iintelligence. Ewan Mc Gregor is a good actor but he is not the right one. Scarlett Johanson looks like a potato on the screen and she is the real flow of this movie. While I was reading E.W. I suddenly saw a picture of Scarlet in her white pajama with her only empty expression on her face and I immediately understood that this movie will be a flop.Costumes are pathetic and the costume designer should be hanged up. Go anyway and see it. The story is very interesting and it is never boring. My rate 7 on 10

great movie, wrong star

I'm sure that the producer of this movie is asking him self why this film is going so bad as to the box office as in the revues. I can tell him why. Ice Cube. This actor is good and funny in comedies but is very bad in action, becoming ridiculous and pathetic. He does not get the charisma to be the star of the movie. Investing 118 million $ on him is crazy. The rhythm of this movie is perfect, perfect balance between great action and some talking. Cinematography simply beautiful. Cool story, nice costumes, great director, very good cast and very good music by Marco Beltrami (if you like hip hop. I don't know if Vin Diesel refused the sequel or the producer wanted another star but it has been a great mistake to do this movie without him. And I don't say this as Diesel's fan because, talking personally, I loved this movie if the star was DMX.

Unbelievable !

Mike Nichols is back. Great movie! Great acting! Great script! The best Mike Nichols's movie since "the graduate" with Dustin Hoffman. For sure this movie does not have anything less than the movies which have been nominated to the Academy awards. I can't tell anything about the story and I don't know how spend my ten lines. I just can say that it is a movie about love and cheating but without sin. If you are intrigued by that this is your movie. If you like a good, really classic, based on a good script cinema you'll love this movie. I missed it at the theater, I was not sure if rent it,I was wrong,I saw it on DVD, I loved it. If you are too much prude or you are scandalized from some bad word don't watch it.....is rated R.

Guess Who (2005)

Pathetic

Even copying other two great successful movies (Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and Meet the parents)this one is really pathetic. All gags are old. Every situation is predictable. Characters are banal. An easy way to try to create a nice (which nice is totally not in this case) humor about the natural racial preventions which every race still fill in front of other races (unfortunately). This movie sometimes makes you laugh, most of the time is stupid and pathetic. Technically this movie is very cheap (many directors of comedy genre does not take care of a good cinematography etc). Watch the DVD in your living room with your most ignorant friends and save some dollar. To go to the theater and watch this garbage is time wasted. 3/10.

Don't believe to the 3.8. This movie is very very ironic. It plays about something that many people fill in the same way. Actors are very very good and sometimes it is really hilarious. Using the pretext of Christmas the movie jokes about the limits which our society give us in everything. We have to marry, we have to wear accepted dresses, we can't smoke marijuana but we can drink. So we have to live how other people want, if you decide differently you are done. Personally I liked this movie and I found that it seems stupid but on the opposite it is very realistic. Tim Allen, Dan Akroid and J. Lee Curtis deliver a great performance. Enjoy!

Shark Tale (2004)

Bad rates and bad posts -Why?- This movie is fantastic

Don't listen to people who talks bad about this fantastic movie. I loved all made by Pixar 3D movies (Toy Story, Monsters, Ice age and Nemo)and I respect Pixar as the company who invented this kind of cartoons but I loved Dreamworks 3D movies too(Shrek and Shark Tales). So I have seen the all of those. In my opinion Shark Tale is very better than Nemo. Nemo has been the first one under water and I can understand that impressed people a lot but Shark Tale is really funny and cool. I don't know why so many bad posts. Somebody wrote: "Don't bring your children to this movie they will be bored". This is an absurdity. I liked this movie very much more than Nemo as it is great in the same way as graphic but very funnier. I guess that many of those posts are pushed by somebody who has a particular convenience to do that. Shark Tale is a great great 3d movie, funny and intelligent. I'm on the point to come back to the theater and see it again. Go and see it with or without your children, you will be not disappointed. My vote is 8 on 10.

Magic movie

People rated this movie 8.5 on the opposite the posts very often are tough. For me this movie is magic. The use of the colors is really fantastic. Everything you see is made by great taste. The battles are impressive and the duels are beautiful. The acting is very very good. I don't agree with who says that this movie is philosophically wrong because tales without criticism about the 1st selfnominated Emperor Shi Huangdi who was a bloody dictator. The philosophy Ghandi style of Broken Sword is the real message of the movie. The nameless warrior don't get a name because he is just the metaphoric representation of the nemesis. Believe me this is a great great movie. It sounds to me very strange that "Hero" needed two years to find a distribution in the USA and it gets so poor advertising. That means that distributors are blind. In my opinion this movie is very better than "Crouching Tiger...". Usually I like fast action movies but this was so magic! Unfortunately actors speak Chinese with English subtitles and sometimes reading takes away your attention from the scenes, any the way I rate "Hero" 9/10.

Alien vs. Predator (2004)

The dumbest movie I have ever seen

I can't say if you'll like this movie but for sure this is the dumbest movie I have ever seen. Mixing Alien with Jurassic Park, The beauty and the beast, Godzilla and some other garbage ideas, shooting always in the dark, the director created this kind of mess. I can't really tell the story, I'll try: A team of archaeologist,scientist and climbers retrieve an under-ice ancient city full of aliens. After some time appear some Predators. Aliens and Predators start a fight between them. The number 1 Predator fall in love for a nice scientist-girl and together they beat the number 1 Alien. Most of the time you see some kind of rumble in almost total darkness listening Aliens and Predators making strange sounds. Pathetic! A dumb movie for dumb people.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)

Very funny and satyric

I went and see this movie just hoping to relax, nothing more. On the opposite I saw a very very funny and intelligent movie. Behind the comicality there is a lot of thin meanings. Jocking around the word "bush" this movie also takes the occasion to joke in a very funny way about the president. Best hilarious moments are: When Kumar dreams to marry his marijuana bag and when he finds a "bush" to hide himself to pee. The actors are very good and the rhythm is fast. The director is the same of "Dude, where is my car?" another funny but underrated movie with Aston Kutcher and Sean William Scott starring. Don't miss this small but very nice film. my rate 8/10.

Catwoman (2004)

Not bad at all

After watching "King Arthur" (first day rated 3.4 on this site) I wrote in my comment: << the only reason for what this movie has been rated so low is because its director is black. (I'm white). Very often I have been seeing people rating too low some movies which are made by black directors and this, in my opinion is a shameful way to act. >> Tonight I saw "Catwoman", already rated 2.5 on IMDB. I understood that the same destiny is reserved for a black actress too. (If Halle Berry can be called black;as, for me, she is more or less "beige" but she has still to pay an Oscar.)I'm not a militant antiracism, just a person who does not watch the colors but watch very well how people is not fair judging "black works". Catwoman is a good movie, for sure not less than "Spyderman", but Spyderman is White, Male and an ordinary looser, he can suck! Catwoman is NotWhite, Female and cool,mmmmm.... not acceptable! Anyway, this movie is fast, well done, nice colors nice catwoman costume.Halle Berry, even looking like Sandra Bullock in the normal life, is cool and sexy as Catwoman (Never I have been a Halle Berry fan). I don't want my money back. I rate this movie 7 on 10
