The latest comic horror venture from 'Freak Out' creators Christian James ('Kill Keith') and Dan Palmer ('Evil Aliens') is new British zombie flick 'Stalled'. The project will be hitting the Us courtesy of Uncork'd Entertainment and Odin's Eye this coming October where it'll be receiving a limited theatrical run. Which will in turn follow up with a home release during November. Exact dates are still to be nailed down but in the meantime the movie has managed to piggy-back onto another zombie movie that is enjoying success at the box office currently. The new teaser poster manages to parody and take a literal massive sh#t on the artwork of 'World War Z'. Antonia Bernath ('St Trinians', 'Lykke'), Dan Palmer, Tamaryn Payne ('Hollyoaks'), Mark Holden, Giles Alderson ('The Harsh Light of Day'), Victoria Broom, Mark Kelly and Victoria Eldon all star.

UFO will be hitting the big screen on our shores next Friday, 14th December, with Dominic Burns (Airborne, How to Stop Being a Loser) returning behind the camera for his fourth feature.
We had an exclusive look at the first trailer back in October, showing that the independent film industry in Britain is still brimming with potential. And with its release just over a week away, the latest poster has been released online, giving us another look at the epic scale of this sci-fi.
“It started with a blackout, all power and communications down. Hours later city sized UFO’s invade the world’s skies. Then the war began… Five friends attempt to navigate their way to survival amidst deteriorating chaos as the world descends into terror and anarchy during an alien invasion and interstellar war.”

If there’s one genre we do better than most in the UK, it’s the thriller.
The good thing about them: You don’t need $200m. to make them. (There aren’t any bad things about them.)
Tower Block hits the big screen this September, starring the brilliant Sheridan Smith (Two Pints of Lager), Jack O’Connell (Eden Lake, the upcoming 300: Battle of Artemisia), Russell Tovey (Being Human), and newcomer Kane Robinson, and we’ve been sent the first UK quad poster.
“Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil. When Jimmy is brutally murdered by two hooded figures, Becky, Kurtis, Neville and the other residents of the Serenity House tower block are witnesses to the killing but, fearing retribution, are too scared to give detectives any information and the police investigation is going nowhere.
One year later, someone has decided to take justice into their own hands.

To celebrate the release of Kill Keith (which was released on DVD on 26th March) we have scoured the murky world of mainstream cinematic deaths, no cannibal-based Italian-dubbed deaths here folks, to bring you a top 10 list of the most memorable deaths in film; be they gruesome, iconic, or downright ridiculous…
10) Ashley and Ashlyn – Final Destination 3
We all know the risks of sun bedding; leathery skin and terminal illness, but when Death has a score to settle neither of these should be of great concern. In the wake of a catastrophic rollercoaster accident and lucky to be alive, Ashley and Ashlyn of Final Destination 3 take an ill-advised trip to the tanning salon. Inevitable incineration ensues; Death 1 – Tanorexics 0.
9) Wicked Witch of the West – Wizard of Oz

★☆☆☆☆ With a 'celebrity' lineup comprising of such TV icons as Joe Pasquale, Russell Grant, Tony Blackburn and - of course - Keith 'Cheggers' Chegwin, it genuinely defies belief that Andy Thompson's Kill Keith (2011) ever managed to see the light of day. There is no greater example of just how misguided, achingly desperate and painfully unfunny this cinematic abomination is than in its poster, which replicates the iconic Kill Bill (2003) one sheet, with Chegwin taking the place of Uma Thurman.

When you first lay your eyes on the DVD case for Kill Keith (depicting TV’s Keith Chegwin in Uma Thurman’s Kill Bill garb and wielding a samurai sword) you really hope that what lies within will be gloriously inspired rather than unspeakably awful. Let’s face it, the idea of a slasher movie starring various TV-am Z-listers being killed off by an unknown “Breakfast Cereal Killer” is a fun idea, no matter how cringeworthy. Sadly, Kill Keith squanders any of its potential novelty value by being a confused and unfunny mess, which is somehow far worse on screen than it possibly ever sounded on paper.
Marc Pickering stars as Danny, a clumsy but well-intentioned runner on a breakfast TV show hosted by glamorous presenter Dawn (Susanna Fielding). Crudely named ‘The Crack of Dawn’ – a gag once used in The Office to highlight David Brent...

It's impressively bad. But it's still impressive. Keith Chegwin's Kill Keith is a better representation of British horror than any glossy Radcliffe drama
Ever since The Woman in Black became the most successful British horror film of all time, it's become apparent what the next few years of British horror will have in store. There'll be period costumes. There'll be stately atmospherics. There'll be long periods of hardly anything happening that are suddenly punctuated by a noise or a chair or a bird or whatever. But that's not what British horror is all about.
British horror isn't about Daniel Radcliffe looking glum. It's cheap. It's trashy. You can see the seams. And it barely cares. In fact, there's an argument to say that the bizarre low-budget Keith Chegwin vehicle Kill Keith (out on DVD next week) is far more representative of the British horror scene than The Woman in Black will ever be.

Essentially a one-joke set-up stretched over 93 long minutes, aside from a couple of humorous moments (and a very funny 3D gag before the film starts) Kill Keith falls flat as both a parody and a stand-alone comedy.
A popular breakfast TV show called The Crack of Dawn (think cheap Daybreak knockoff with even less charm) is fronted by hosts Cliff and Dawn (yep, she’s been given this name purely to be made the butt of a hopelessly unfunny joke) whose distain for each other is clear through their strained daily relationship on the sofa. Mirroring his stint on the Channel 4’s nineties morning show, The Big Breakfast, legendary UK TV fixture, Keith ‘Cheggers’ Chegwin is also employed by the show as their roving reporter for a segment called ‘Cheggers Knocks You Up’ (the dreadful double entendres keep coming).

For the last thirty years or so, Keith Chegwin has been known as a friendly, cheeky and jovial TV presenter, commonly seen on breakfast TV waking members of the public at the crack of dawn, and presenting them with substantial amounts of money. Now he’s turned his hand to acting (sort of), as the title character in new Brit-flick, Kill Keith. In fact, as you’ll see in our interview (below), he’s actually returning to acting, having worked on some rather interesting projects early in his career.
In addition to discussing his acting experience (look out for my ‘surprised face’ when he explains where he worked with Russell Grant and Duran Duran’s Simon LeBon), we spoke about some of the more amusing people he’s door-stepped, how he ended up playing himself in the project and how the promise of regular pay meant that he ended up...

Writer/director Andy Thompson helms his first solo feature 'Kill Keith' and it arrives in UK theatres tomorrow. The new British comedy horror follows a serial killer with unhealthy obsession for Brit TV presenter Keith Chegwin. Our international readers may not be too familiar with Cheggers but you would undoubtedly remember his hilarious appearance in the Orlando Bloom episode of Ricky Gervais' hit Brit sitcom 'Extras'. Our very own Faye Coulman recently got the chance to talk with Keith and you can check out the full interview below. 'Kill Keith' stars Susannah Fielding, Marc Pickering, David Easter, Simon Phillips, Dominic Burns and Ellie Jacob along with various TV stars such as Russell Grant, Joe Pasquale, Vanessa Feltz and legendary DJ Tony Blackburn. Chegwin can also be seen as himself in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's newest TV show 'Life's Too Short' which airs on BBC...

Kill Keith
Stars: Marc Pickering, Susannah Fielding, David Easter, Simon Phillips, Tony Blackburn, Joe Pasquale, Keith Chegwin | Written and Directed by Andy Thompson
Oddity alert! Sound the quirky alarm! Horror-comedy meets breakfast TV in this low budget gurn-a-thon, which comes across as some sort of unholy mash-up of Morning Glory and Seven. Kill Keith stars Marc Pickering as Danny, a runner on a breakfast programme, who is in love with its charming presenter Dawn (Susannah Fielding – 4.3.2.1., Doctor Who, Pete Versus Life) and wishes to replace the arrogant co-host Cliff (Easter) at her side on the sofa. The programme is called ‘The Crack of Dawn’, in one of the film’s slightly more sophisticated (really) if smuttier jokes.
Unfortunately for Dawn and daytime TV presenters everywhere, the so-called Breakfast Cereal Killer (again, indicative of the level of humour) is at large, bumping off C-list celebs in breakfast-themed ways. Tony Blackburn, Joe Pasquale,...

Are you like me and would prefer to just sleep in every morning? I can't understand the concept of "morning person". As far as I'm concerned, I never want to hear those two words together unless they are preceded by "…gruesome death of a…". But when you are forced to wake up early, what's the worst part of it? The morning news shows that are so sugary they make you want to puke. And that is the subject of Kill Keith.

A stroke of genius, or completely & utterly bonkers I don’t know, but Kill Keith sure has one of the more intriguing and unique film concepts you are likely to see all year. Basically a remake of Quentin Tarantino’s death list revenge thriller Kill Bill but set around Breakfast Television (!), the Brit horror/comedy is about a cereal killer (!!) who attempts to knock off his own death list of potential celebrity candidates who are up for the job of co-presenting the nation’s favourite morning show – “The Crack of Dawn” – after it’s male presenter leaves.
In breakfast telly’s A-list ensemble elite, basically The Expendables of the daytime goggle-box, Keith Chegwin, Tony Blackburn, Joe Pasquale and Russell Grant all star as co-presenting hopefuls and therefore targets for the killer. Meanwhile Danny Nichols (Marc Pickering), a hapless studio runner who day dreams about being the new co-presenter so he...
