It’ll be a busy summer for Carrie Coon. The actor will film the third season of The Gilded Age in New York right after she finishes filming the third installment of The White Lotus in Thailand. Coon gave an update on The Gilded Age’s next chapter in a new Vanity Fair profile after her interviewer asked how she’s shooting both TV shows. “Fortunately, it actually lined up pretty perfectly,” she revealed. “I think we’re going to go into production on The Gilded Age in July. And although White Lotus will continue shooting in July, I will probably wrap out by June, just so they can get me back for Gilded Age.” Arturo Holmes/Getty Images Coon added: “The fact that both shows are on HBO definitely worked in my favor, because everyone’s incentivized to make sure everything works out. I’m very grateful to the people.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Star Wars: Tales of The Empire Episodes 4, 5 and 6.] The subject of Barriss Offee’s (voiced by Meredith Salenger) whereabouts after the fall of the Republic has long been a debated subject among Star Wars fans. Some thought she’d managed to escape prison and saved Grogu… which turned out not to be the case. Some thought she’d show up in Ahsoka as an antagonist for her former friend to battle… which turned out not to be the case. But Tales of the Empire proved that turning to the Dark Side was only part of Barriss’ story. As of the end of the final episode, we’re left conflicted about Barriss—and, again, we’re not sure whether she survived. Let’s break it down. Disney+ Did Barriss Offee Die? That’s the...

At the end of the 2001 movie “Monsters, Inc.,” the titular company decides to cut ties with tradition and do away with human children’s screams as a power source in favor of laughter. It was a fun tag that put a nice bow on Sulley’s character growth after meeting the human Boo. What the movie doesn’t show is whether the larger world of Monstropolis will be open to such a drastic change to their traditions and culture. That is at the heart of Disney+’s “Monsters at Work,” which, in its second season, brought workplace existentialism and the environmental revolution to the popular Pixar franchise — along with the surprise return of Steve Buscemi’s Randall Boggs. (More on that later.)
“The end of ‘Monsters, Inc.’ is great for the audience, but that doesn’t necessarily extend to the larger city and the larger world,” “Monsters at Work” showrunner Kevin Deters told IndieWire.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez says there are “no current plans” for him to return from what was once a temporary leave from General Hospital. The actor, who starred as Spencer Cassadine in the long-running ABC soap, confirmed reports of his exit in an X post on Friday — and hinted that he, or his character, at least, might one day make a comeback. “I’m so appreciative of the opportunity that Gh gave me, and I wouldn’t be as busy as I am professionally if it weren’t for the talented producers, writers, directors, and fellow actors,” Chavez told fans in the X post. He went on: “[General Hospital executive producer] Frank Valentini is a mentor and a friend, and we’ve had some pretty extensive conversations about my future on the show. While there are no current plans for me to return, we are still talking very openly about future possibilities for Spencer in Port Charles.

The gala and attempt to impress the governor (Catherine Lough Haggquist) does end up being a success, thanks to speeches from both Eve (Jules Latimer) and Bode (Max Thieriot) and the latter being among those who leap into action when a fire breaks out. Unfrosted might not be fully accurate in its portrayal of the race to create the first toaster pastry, but it does capture an essential truth: The more specific nostalgia is, the more universal its appeal. Which is why Unfrosted’s director, co-writer, and star Jerry Seinfeld’s personal passion for the Pop-Tart can be seen through the lens of a subversive yet somehow sweet look back at the ’60s, a time when kids roamed free (and right into dumpsters) and Shakespearean actors moonlighted as cereal mascots.

More than three years after Game of Thrones came to a divisive end, HBO returned to the land of Westeros with House of the Dragon, a Targaryen-centric prequel series that debuted on August 21, 2022. Fans weren’t meant to wait this long for a Game of Thrones spinoff — or “successor show,” as author George R. R. Martin prefers to call it — but HBO didn’t have the easiest time turning its smash hit into a franchise. Case in point: The pilot for another prequel series, the Naomi Watts-led project detailed below, cost $30 million to film, according to the James Andrew Miller book Tinderbox: HBO’s Ruthless Pursuit of New Frontiers (via Entertainment Weekly). The next spinoff in development was a Jon Snow sequel series that would see Kit Harington return to his most famous role. Harington himself has said it’s been shelved, but that’s not the only tale of Westeros in development.

If you are going to be a show about firefighters produced by the Shondaland banner, then you better be hot. When TV Insider asked the cast of the ABC drama what their steamiest moment of the entire show was at the series wrap party, many of them said that the iconic Season 6 Maya (Danielle Savre) and Carina (Stefania Spampinato) shower scene or Travis’ (Jay Hayden) funeral hook up with Emmett (Lachlan Buchanan) in the Season 7 premiere took the cake. However, members of the Station 19 crew teased that fans haven’t actually seen the steamiest moment of the show yet. “We have one in Episode 7 coming up actually at the end of the episode, watch out for it. In a new standalone special of David Letterman’s Netflix interview series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Letterman interviewed Mulaney before a live audience. “I saved a dying institution,” Minhaj added. “You’re welcome.”
For those not following along, after an extended on-air audition process, Comedy Central had reportedly chosen Minhaj to be Trevor Noah’s successor at The Daily Show last summer and planned to make the announcement at the conclusion of the Writers Strike.
