ABC is retaining the legal services of L.A. Law, giving a pilot order to a potential revival starring original series alum Blair Underwood, TVLine has learned.
The updated take is once again set at the venerable law firm of McKenzie Brackman, which has reinvented itself as “a litigation firm specializing in only the most high profile, boundary pushing and incendiary cases,” per the official synopsis. Underwood reprises his role as attorney Jonathan Rollins, “who has gone from idealistic to more conservative as he clashes with millennial JJ Freeman to decide the best path forward for the firm to effect political and legal change.

Amazon has released a teaser for its upcoming fantasy series “Carnival Row,” which stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, who have an extremely passionate fairy-human romance.
Set to Billie Eilish’s song “Bury a Friend,” the teaser gives us a look at the show’s fantasy land where people, fairies, and otherworldly beings intermingle — and where “monsters are real.” You can watch the teaser above.
Bloom (“Pirates of the Caribbean”) and Delevingne (“Suicide Squad”) star in the series set in a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose exotic homelands were invaded by the empires of man. This growing population struggles to coexist with humans — forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. But even in darkness, hope lives, as a human detective, Rycroft Philostrate (Bloom), and a refugee faerie named Vignette Stonemoss (Delevingne) rekindle a dangerous affair despite an increasingly intolerant society. FX has given a nine-episode order to Mrs. America, a timely limited series starring Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning actor Cate Blanchett in her first role on American television. The series hails from Emmy-winning writer Davhi Waller (Mad Men), Oscar-nominated producer Stacey Sher and FX Productions. Blanchett also executive produces Mrs. America with Sher; Waller, who also serves as showrunner; and Coco Francini (The Hateful Eight). Production is scheduled to begin in 2019.
Mrs. America tells the true story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, and the unexpected backlash led by a conservative woman named Phyllis Schlafly, played by Blanchett. Through the eyes of the women of that era — both Schlafly and second-wave feminists Gloria Steinem, Betty Friedan, Shirley Chisholm, Bella Abzug and Jill Ruckelshaus — the series explores how one of the toughest battlegrounds in the culture wars of the ’70s helped give rise to...

In a coup for FX, Cate Blanchett is set to star as conservative firebrand Phyllis Schlafly in the limited series “Mrs. America,” recounting the modern history of the women’s movement.
“Mad Men” and “Halt and Catch Fire” alum Dahvi Waller is spearheading the project for FX Productions. Waller and Blanchett will exec produce alongside Stacey Sher and Coco Francini. FX has ordered nine episodes with production set to begin next year.
“Cate Blanchett is one the great actors of our time — and we are truly honored to have her star in “Mrs. America,’ ” said FX CEO John Landgraf. “We have no doubt that Cate is the perfect actor to play the role of Phyllis Schlafly, who was one of the most polarizing and fascinatingly complex figures of the ‘70s for her opposition to and role in defeating the Equal Rights Amendment, which to this day has never been ratified.

Taraji P. Henson’s star is in the ascendant – ‘P’ for Penda, for the curious among you. An increasingly familiar face in hit TV shows like Boston Legal, Person of Interest and Eli Stone, Henson has quietly been chiseling away at a Hollywood career for over a decade. It has been an unshowy rise: comfortable in ensemble pieces, she often selflessly lets other more gregarious actors take the limelight away from her.
Not that she hasn’t gone unnoticed by those in the critical know. She’s a multi-award-winner and as executive producer and star of Proud Mary, she is finally an above-the-title name. This story about Courtney Kemp first appeared in The Race Begins issue of TheWrap’s Emmy magazine.
Courtney Kemp started Season 4 of her show, “Power,” exactly where she likes to be: without many options. The Starz hit ended its third season with Omari Hardwick’s lead character, the New York club owner and drug dealer James “Ghost” St. Patrick, arrested for murder by his girlfriend, FBI agent Angela Valdes (Lela Loren) — a situation that didn’t offer many escape hatches for an unrepentant gangster.

It's been just under a year since Grimm wrapped its six-year run on NBC, and it looks like series lead David Giuntoli has found his next big hit.
According to Deadline, Giuntoli has landed a lead role in new ABC drama pilot, A Million Little Things.
The series will follow a group of friends who are struggling to make something of themselves. They are all stuck in a rut.
Things change somewhat when one of them dies, and it serves as a catalyst for them to finally start living their lives before it's too late for them.
Giuntoli will take on the role of Eddie, a musician who becomes a music teacher and stay-at-home dad. His life is not going the way he thought it would.
With his marriage on the rocks, he can't help but wonder how different things would have been for him if he made some different choices.

Also, many of you aren't watching them for some reason!
