This post contains spoilers for "Andor" season 2, episode 4.
Choosing a favorite monologue from the first season of "Andor" is like selecting a favorite episode from the original trilogy. It's a tough choice, given that several of the "Andor" season 1 monologues were some of the all-time greatest in the "Star Wars" universe. From Luthen's (Stellan Skarsgård) admission of sharing his dreams with ghosts to Nemik's (Alex Lawther) manifesto declaring the Empire an unnatural thing, speeches littered throughout Tony Gilroy's TV lead-up to "Rogue One" contained chest-thumping moments that made you feel you could take on the Empire yourself. However, it was Maarva Andor's (Fiona Shaw) declaration to fight them from beyond the grave that became truly became legendary.
Her warning of a wound at the center of the galaxy now boasts 2.6 million views on the Star Wars YouTube account, and frankly, we're surprised that number isn't higher. We wouldn't blame you,...

"Andor" builds up the horrors of the Galactic Empire like no other part of "Star Wars," focusing on the atrocities they commit -- but not the obvious ones, like blowing up planets. Instead, the show is all about the quieter atrocities, the smaller instances of villainy that slowly made people used to the oppression of the Empire. It's like Alex Lawther's Nemik once said, "The pace of oppression outstrips our ability to understand it, and that is the real trick of the Imperial Thought Machine. It's easier to hide behind 40 atrocities than a single incident." We don't need to see stormtroopers annihilating an entire people or Wookiees being enslaved en masse when things like increasing prison sentences for no reason already show the way the Empire oppresses people day-to-day.
Season 2, however, seems to be building up to more explicit atrocities. The first episode of the season already introduced us...

This summer, FX and Hulu will debut the latest entry in the iconic sci-fi horror franchise Alien. Titled Alien: Earth, this will be the Xenomorph's first television series, It's set in the year 2120, around two years before the original 1979 film starring Sigourney Weaver. And as the name implies, this time around, the action will take place on Earth itself.
I've had some reservations about how that might work in the larger context of the franchise, which often revolves around how utterly essential it is to keep the invasive Xenomorphs from ever reaching the human home planet. But with each new glimpse of Alien: Earth we get, those fears become quieter.
And we're getting quite a few glimpses at the moment, because FX and Hulu dropped a slew of new teaser trailers over the week. The largest of the bunch dropped on April 26, also known as Alien Day in the fandom...

Happy Alien Day!
Two new teasers for Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth have been released online. One spotlights the gestation cycle of a Xenomorph (in graphic detail), while the other reveals that the iconic acid-blooded beasts are not the only extraterrestrial threat our planet will face in the series!
According to the voiceover, “five different lifeforms from the darkest corners of the universe — each one a unique, deadly species” were chosen to bring back to Earth for study (never a good idea).
We don't get a proper look at the other lifeforms in the crates, but this doesn't sound like five different variations or subspecies of Xenomorph. A group of brand-new alien creatures would certainly prove to be an intriguing and unexpected addition to this series.
Check out the promos below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think in the comments section.
Incoming report from Weyland-Yutani: Critical Gestation Complete.

In space, no one can hear you scream. But on Earth? We’re going to find out, as Alien: Earth is landing on Hulu/Disney+ this year. And to amp up the excitement, we have a new teaser and key art.
Here is the synopsis of Alien: Earth: “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series “Alien: Earth” from creator Noah Hawley…“Alien: Earth” is set in 2120 when five corporations – Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold – wield the power of nations, and proprietary advancements in technology provide the promise of a new tomorrow.”
The studio has dropped a few teasers and clips here and there, but there really isn’t a whole lot of extensive promotion going on.

In celebration of Earth Day, a holiday usually meant to celebrate the planet we all live on and its natural beauty, a terrifying new poster and new teaser for Alien: Earth have just dropped. Check out the poster below.
Alien: Earth is a prequel to the 1997 hit movie Alien. Noah Hawley is at the helm of this series which is expected to focus much less on the sequel movies and their lore Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. You can watch the new teaser below.
Alien: Earth will heavily incorporate the five gigantic corporations that occupy the world of Alien. Those are Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. Weyland-Yutani was a big part of the storytelling in Alien: Romulus as the ship most of the story takes place on is owned by the company. Truthfully, every setting of the movie is owned by Weyland-Yutani.

Rebellions are built on hope and that hope is alive and well with “Andor” Season 2 finally here.
The second season of “Andor” shows what Cassian’s (Diego Luna) time in the rebellion was like in the four years leading up to the events in “Rogue One.” It’s a bit of a change from Season 1, which took place over a single year. Things start coming to a head as the Rebellion grows into a more legitimate threat but the stress of years of fighting begins to weigh down on the spies and politicians fighting the good fight.

The Alien franchise is set to continue on the small screen with an “FX on Hulu” TV series called Alien: Earth, from Fargo creator Noah Hawley, which is aiming for a Summer 2025 premiere. While we wait to hear a specific premiere date for the show, FX has partnered with IGN to put together “a tongue-in-cheek Earth Day public service announcement,” which can be seen in the embed above. On the IGN social media accounts, they’ll also be rolling out a series of short videos “chronicling the gestation of a creature in what appeared to be a controlled lab setting.”

The struggle against the Empire continues. Three years after the first season of Andor redefined what a modern Star Wars show could be, the Disney+ series about the early days of the Rebel Alliance is finally returning for Season 2. Since creator and showrunner Tony Gilroy has crafted such a detail-oriented story, it’s understandable if we all need a refresher on where we left off with Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and his comrades and the Imperial officers trying to stop them.
Who are the main characters of Andor?
As the title makes clear, the series mainly revolves around Cassian, who first appeared in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Gilroy, who cowrote the screenplay for Rogue One and directed uncredited reshoots, has been using the show to flesh out Cassian’s backstory and that of the Rebel Alliance writ large. Interestingly, Andor viewers already know how the hero will die...

Although the 21st century has seen a terrific rise in prestige television that has expanded the possibilities of prolonged storytelling, “Black Mirror” has been an experiment like no other. The BBC series, which gradually shifted to Netflix, is an anthology story examining the various sinister ways technology has complicated sociology, politics, and morality as it rapidly expands its grasp on everyday life. While the obvious comparison is to “The Twilight Zone,” “Black Mirror” exists within a gray area in which the stories don’t necessarily feel supernatural. While not specifically intended to be predictive, “Black Mirror” has succeeded in sparking debates that are either likely to come up in the near future or have already become relevant.
“Black Mirror” has returned for a surprising comeback in its seventh season, which includes some groundbreaking new concepts and clever sequels to previously established storylines. While an episode like “Eulogy” aimed to be a more heartfelt,...

If there’s one thing Star Wars fans can agree on, besides the fact that lightsabers are objectively the coolest weapons ever, it’s that Andor is a masterclass in storytelling. The series doesn’t just explore the Rebellion’s gritty origins, it practically pulls you into the rebellion itself. And a huge part of that immersion? The phenomenal casting.
Turns out, showrunner Tony Gilroy knew exactly what he wanted for two of the series’ most pivotal roles and never even bothered looking elsewhere. Talk about love at first audition! But let’s be real, casting in a galaxy far, far away isn’t always a straightforward process. For every perfect fit, there are countless auditions, callbacks, and chemistry tests.

Alien: Earth is just around the corner and fans are finally getting a look at the interstellar horrors it has in store. The series hails from creator-showrunner Noah Hawley (FX's Fargo) and comes on the heels of a reignited Alien-mania started with Alien: Romulus, the first theatrical franchise entry in seven years which was a critical and commercial success.
A new clip shared on X (formerly Twitter), sees a spacecraft carrying multiple Xenomorph specimens who break loose. They tear their way through the crew before the ship crashes down on Earth, paving the way for new breeds of the hybrids to emerge in the aftermath.

Ahead of its summer release on Disney+, here’s a new trailer for Alien: Earth, the incoming TV show…
We must admit, we’re really enjoying the promotional campaign for this summer’s Alien: Earth, the upcoming FX/Disney+ series which will bring the world of xenomorphs and questionable human behaviour to the small screen for the first time. We’ve already seen short trailers that gave us what looked like a sheep’s eye, then another preview that went full xenomorph Pov. Now we get another quick glimpse of an exciting scene and a few other shots of the series beyond.
Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Timothy Olyphant, Kit Young, Adarsh Gourav, David Rysdahl, Babou Ceesay, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, Sandra Yi Sencindiver and Moe Bar-El co-star in the series, which is set two years before the events of Alien.

Following some brief promos, FX has finally released a full teaser for Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth, which begins with the first clip from the upcoming sci-fi horror series.
The footage finds a man sitting in a very Nostromo-esque control room as his crewmate desperately tries to convince him to open the door and let her in. The woman then turns to face whatever has been stalking her, and we get a first look at one of the show's Xenomorphs on the attack.
Hawley has hinted that the series will introduce a new breed of the iconic creature, though it's difficult to make out any significant changes to the classic design here.
As the Xeno dispatches its victim, the man - possibly the ship's android - tells the computer that the crew is dead. Though we don't know for sure, we assume this is what remains of the crew of the Uscss Maginot,...

Ridley Scott's iconic Alien film has spawned a franchise of Xenomorph-fronted films and a bevy of loyal fans. And now the house that Ripley built is headed to the small screen under the tutelage of Fargo and Legion creator, Noah Hawley, with Alien: Earth. In a new clip that was first shared with shareholders during a spectacle-laden call for shareholders with Disney CEO, Bob Iger, the tension and stakes of the original films feels alive and well — though that may be the only thing alive by the time the titular alien arrives on our planet.
The series, which also recently had a new trailer revealed at SXSW, is said to follow a young woman (played by Sydney Chandler) and a "ragtag group of tactical soldiers" who make "a fateful discovery" after "a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth ... that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat." If we’re going to get a full-blown revival of the Alien franchise, believe us when we say we are all in. While Ridley Scott’s most recent attempts to resurrect the series – 2012’s Prometheus and 2017’s Alien: Covenant – were huge letdowns (even Scott thinks so), Fede Álvarez did his part in generating genuine interest with last year’s Alien: Romulus. Now, the franchise is getting its first-ever live-action show via Alien: Earth, which is set to air on FX on Hulu later this year.
While we have seen multiple looks at Alien: Earth, this latest clip shows off the sort of suspense and design that makes the Alien franchise so distinct, with a character banging on the doors of a spacecraft screaming, “Let me in – it’s coming!” as another updates the crew status. Spoiler: they’re probably going to be losing one real soon…...

A brand-new clip for ‘Alien: Earth’ just dropped! This upcoming series is set to hit Hulu this summer, bringing the eerie world of the Alien franchise right to our screens. If you’re like me, you’re already counting down the days to dive into this sci-fi horror adventure.
The show comes from Noah Hawley, the creative mind behind ‘Fargo’ and ‘Legion.’ It’s his take on the Alien universe, and he’s promising something fresh yet familiar.
‘Alien: Earth’ is a prequel, set about 30 years before the original 1979 ‘Alien’ film that started it all. This time, the action unfolds on our planet, a big shift from the space-bound terror we’re used to. Hawley’s got a knack for blending tension and storytelling, so I’m expecting a wild ride.

The Twilight Zone is one of the most brilliant and trippy series ever made. Created by Rod Serling, the CBS series is a virtual and psychologically thrilling trip into the unknown. The Twilight Zone premiered over six decades ago, and it still holds up very well as far as the stories and the visual experience go. Maybe that’s why the Jordan Peele reboot failed: it couldn’t capture the same magic as the Serling series did. While we're still waiting on a full trailer, FX recently released some snippets of new footage (see below) for Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth, and we now have a series of short "Secret Transmission" teasers which appear to document the events that lead to the Uscss Maginot crash-landing on Earth.
There are quite a few classic Alien callbacks here, including very familiar computer sounds, garbled transmissions, interiors that look quite a bit like the Nostromo from Ridley Scott's film, and a cat that could very easily pass for Jonesy.
The first clip begins with a crew member fixing a camera to the cat's head, and our new feline friend ends up recording some kind of red alert event that sends the crew into a panic. We also see someone in a cryosleep pod, and we're willing to bet that this guy is just bursting to get off the ship...

The Alien saga continues with a mysterious package containing five (!) new clips. FX is in full promo mode, having already shown a clip of the Xenomorph from their upcoming series Alien: Earth in a recent, larger promo video for their 2025 lineup. The upcoming spinoff to the iconic sci-fi franchise is set two years before the events of Ridley Scott's original 1979 film, in the year 2120, when five corporations – Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold – control all technological advancement, promising the world a new tomorrow. Helmed by Fargo and Legion creator Noah Hawley, Alien: Earth is already heavily tied to the original film, but the data drive that we received from FX shows a possibly familiar furry friend showing audiences around the soon-to-crash Uscss Maginot.
The show's synopsis reads as follows:
