Have you ever thought about what some of today's popular movies would have been like had they been made in the 1950's and 60's? Artist Peter Stults took this basic idea and created an awesome series of retro style movie poster art for modern day films replacing today's actors with big stars of the past. For example, William Shatner replaces Sam Worthington as the star of Avatar, which is perfect casting! Most of these poster designs show off great casting replacements--the one that made me laughed the most was Leonard Nimoy as John McClain in Die Hard.
Check out the full series of posters, and let us know which of these movie reimaginings you think is spot on perfect!

The last few years of Michael Jackson's life are the subject of dueling lawsuits filed Friday on the part of both the Michael Jackson estate and the late singer's former manager, Tohme Tohme, against each other. Both sides present different pictures about how the "King of Pop" attempted to get his career back on track. At stake is at least 15 percent of the hundreds of millions of dollars earned since Jackson died on June 25, 2009. Photos: Hollywood's Notable Deaths The estate, now run by entertainment lawyer John Branca and music industry veteran John McClain, agree that Tohme played

Imagine a Die Hard scenario set aboard a passenger plane. Imagine if the John McClain of the movie was based on Marilyn Manson. Imagine if the terrorists were a Satanic cult trying to bring about hell on earth. If you’ve ever seen Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal, you weren’t imagining it.

Los Angeles — A judge approved a pay bump Monday for the executors of Michael Jackson's estate who turned the debt-ridden singer's portfolio into a business that has earned hundreds of millions of dollars since his death.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff allowed attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain to bill the estate separately for their professional services, which include entertainment-related legal counsel and use of a recording studio founded by Marvin Gaye.
Attorneys for Branca and McClain sought the change, saying the executors spend an increasing amount of time on Jackson's estate and have been paying legal expenses to Branca's firm out of their share of the earnings.
The men agreed in February 2010 to accept 10 percent of the gross entertainment-related earnings of the estate, minus money generated by Jackson's 50 percent interest in the Sony-atv music catalog and earnings from "This Is It," a film compiled from the singer's final rehearsals.

New York — A personal assistant-turned-personal manager to Michael Jackson said the King of Pop had been taking propofol as early as 1999, and that the singer was drugged up ahead of his 2001 30th anniversary concerts.
Frank Cascio, who became a family friend to Jackson at age 5 and eventually one of the singer's closest friends and employees, writes in a new book that he first noticed Jackson taking the drug Demerol while accompanying the singer on his "Dangerous" tour in 1993.
He writes in his new book, "My Friend Michael: An Ordinary Friendship with an Extraordinary Man," that Jackson started the first of two anniversary shows in 2001 an hour late as a result of being drugged up in his dressing room.
"My naive belief that Michael wouldn't let his medicine interfere with the show blew up in my face," Cascio writes. "I can't begin to describe my disappointment and panic at this moment.

Volleyball players are simultaneously electrocuted on the beach during a fundraiser and the CSIs must probe the questions of how, why and by whom? Strange how whenever someone needs help how people can only stand around and watch for ages, until someone shouts the "Call 911" for help. Jesse (Eddie Cibrian) informs Horatio (David Caruso) they can't investigate until Hazmet gives the all-clear for the bodies to be removed. They suspect bio or chemical terrorism. Horatio is right when he comments they're dealing with something more personal. Trace collection reveals some blue crystals in the sand, which Ryan (Jonathan Togo) thinks being corrosion, only there's no pipe. The crystals appear to be copper sulphate and they shouldn't be there, since Ryan tells us they're found in dyes and pigments. Thus more puzzles for the case. Dean Collins (John Terry) owns the property and his wife, Amanda (Cheryl Ladd) organizes the charity fundraiser.

The executors of Michael Jackson's estate have begun legal proceedings to force Alejandra Jackson and her children to move out of the family mansion. Jackson matriarch Katherine previously asked her former daughter-in-law, who has two sons by ex-husband Jermaine Jackson and another two kids with Randy Jackson, to leave the Hayvenhurst estate in Encino, California.
But Alejandra refused to relocate with the children - and now estate co-executors John Branca and John McClain have filed legal papers asking a judge to order her out of the property. The papers, filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, January 6, state that Alejandra and her kids are not beneficiaries of the King of Pop's will and therefore have no claim to the house, reports TMZ.com.
The Jacksons reportedly want to renovate the sprawling property, but Alejandra is halting proceedings by remaining at the house.

Los Angeles — Discovery Channel International has indefinitely postponed the broadcast of a show purporting to re-enact Michael Jackson's autopsy, the company announced Friday.
The company cited the start of hearings next week in the criminal case against Jackson's doctor and a request by the late superstar's estate as reasons for the postponement.
John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of Jackson's estate, accused Discovery of insensitivity toward the singer's family in a letter Wednesday demanding that the company cancel plans for the program.
They said they were especially outraged by an Internet ad for the show, "Michael Jackson's Autopsy," which they described as depicting a corpse on a steel gurney covered by a sheet with a hand sticking out wearing Jackson's signature sequined glove.
Branca and McClain said Friday in a statement that Discovery seemed to be reacting to outrage from Jackson fans, in addition to their own criticisms.

Discovery has shelved a planned special about Michael Jackson's autopsy that caused a wave of outrage when word of it leaked earlier this week.
In a statement, Discovery cites the pending court case against Jackson's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, as the reason for pulling the show. A preliminary hearing in the involuntary manslaughter case against Murray is scheduled to start Monday (Jan. 3); "Michael Jackson's Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson" was set for Jan. 13 on Discovery Channel UK (it wasn't slated to air in the United States).
"Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson's estate, the scheduled broadcast of the medical documentary related to Michael Jackson's official autopsy has been postponed indefinitely," the Discovery statement reads.
Word of the special, which would have re-created Jackson's autopsy, leaked earlier this week and drew immediate fire from Jackson fans and the singer's estate.

When it came to putting together Michael, the first posthumous album of material from late King of Pop Michael Jackson, everyone was working with half a playbook. The producers of the singer's first studio album since 2001 had to figure out what the notoriously detail-oriented Jackson would want them to do with the grab bag of songs he was working on at the time of his death.
Even the artist behind the album's iconic cover, a Renaissance-painting-like mash-up of iconic images from throughout Jackson's career, was forced to go on his understanding of what Michael would have approved of.
That artist, Kadir Nelson, sat down with MTV News last week to walk us through the thicket of images on the cover and explain how he came to create the visual summary of the pop icon's solo career.

Another never-before-heard song from Michael Jackson makes its way out. Titled "Much Too Soon", it is a ballad track filled with soft acoustic guitar sound and debuted on his iTunes Ping as a reminder that his posthumous album "Michael" will be released in the U.S. on December 14.
"She was there just sitting at the table/ Thinking now that things won't be the same/ And wouldn't you like to go with me?/ And she answered 'no' to me/ But I guess I learned my lesson much too soon," the late King of Pop coos in the melancholy jam.
Featuring David Campbell on the strings section, the song was written by Michael Jackson himself and produced by Michael with the help from John McClain. It is taken from the recording session of his 1982 highly-praised album "Thriller".

Yet another new song from the upcoming first posthumous album from Michael Jackson, Michael, has appeared online, and it should appease fans who feared that the 10-song effort would draw primarily from the singer's less-fruitful later years. "Much Too Soon" dates back to the late King of Pop's legendary 1982 Thriller album.
Like the melancholy "Hold My Hand," another song from the album due out on December 14, the latest track is an earnest love ballad. "Much Too Soon" premiered on the iTunes' social networking site, Ping, on Tuesday (November 30).
Singing over a gently picked acoustic guitar and soft, majestic strings, Jackson employs his fragile falsetto to moon about a lover who has left him. The tune mixes a folk feel with touches of classical guitar and a Stevie Wonder-like harmonica break.

Randy Jackson has insisted that several tracks on Michael Jackson's new album do not feature his vocals. The late singer's brother claims that a number of new songs on the album are not sung by Jackson, and admits he was immediately "suspicious" of the project when music bosses banned family members from visiting the studio while the tracks were completed. In a series of posts on his Twitter page, he said: "Me and my nephew were the first to say that it wasn't his voice on some of the tracks. The family and the executors of the Estate, Branca and McClain, are not on the same page. "I became suspicious about the album when I heard [that] armed guards were involved.
