Last night's episode of "The Walking Dead" on AMC was jam packed with zombie mayhem! After the slow burn from the pilot, Episode 2 revved up the action and the gore quotient significantly, don't you think?
It's amazing what AMC is letting the creators get away with, and we are loving every second of it! You are definitely missing out on a new classic if you haven't been watching, but don't worry. You can still watch the pilot episode online.
While Episode 2 moved the storyline forward and introduced to us new characters, AMC is teasing with these images from Episode 3, wherein we will learn more about the survivors.

Director Frank Darabont and actor Thomas Jane have a long history together. One that Jane wants to continue while inhabiting a wasteland filled with shambling flesh-eaters. Ah yes, dear reader! It's time for more chatter concerning our most looked forward to TV show, "The Walking Dead."
In a recent interview with NBC Washington, Jane dropped the following on fans ...
"That show is going to be a a big fucking hit," he told them at the HBO post-Emmy party. "I've seen it and is fan-fucking-tactic." He continues, "I'm going to come on and do a guest thing ... Maybe play a bad guy." Jane says he'll insist on being human in the guest role, however. He'll slay the undead, but he won't play one. "I'm not going to be a zombie," he says. "That's too much makeup."

The four minutes of footage that AMC screened at Comic-Con earlier this year has made its way online courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter. They also tell us that the first episode will air 31st October with a 90 minute special.
As the title may suggest, The Walking Dead is a new Zomebie film which is directed by Frank Darabont (The Green Mile / Shawshank Redemption) and is a six part TV series based on the Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charles Adlard comic of the same name. Darabont has written, directed and produced the series which follows a small group of survivors fighting for their lives led by British actor, Andrew Lincoln, who you’ll recognise from Teachers, Love Actually and more recently, The Heartbreakers.
The Walking Dead also stars Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey DeMunn, Linds Edwards, Keith Allen Hayes, Laurie Holden and Addy Miller.

There's no question ... the crown jewel for horror fans at this year's San Diego Comic-Con is AMC's booth for "The Walking Dead". There's just so much to see, including some new character posters and a new giveaway poster illustrated by Drew Struzan that will be handed out to fans during the official Comic-Con signing for the show.
If you'll be at San Diego Comic-Con this week, be sure to stop by their booth (#3721), which recreates a scene from the pilot episode, and tell them how much you're looking forward to the series premiere. Attendees can either watch zombie footage playing on nearby televisions or use touch-screen monitors to "zombify" themselves. Also at the booth, staff will be distributing free swag like postcards, buttons and other goodies.
On Friday, July 23, from 4:00 to 4:45 Pm, Frank Darabont will be at the booth to sign posters. Prior to that, from 11:...

With the first episode of "The Walking Dead" almost finished shooting, several reports have identified additional actors involved in the project.
According to I Am Entertainment Magazine, Robert "IronE" Singleton (pictured) has signed on to portray one of the survivors of the Zombie Apocalypse. Dread Central also indicates that Singleton will portray a new character called T-Dog. Singleton has previously appeared in "The Blind Side" and the upcoming feature “The Hungry Rabbit Jumps” opposite Nicolas Cage and Guy Pearce.

According to the IMDb, it is. If confirmed (consider this a rumor for now), Frank Darabont has cast actor Keith Allen Hayes as "Tyrese" in The Walking Dead . Tyrese is one of the survivors Rick (Andrew Lincoln) meets along his travels. When Rick finds him, Tyrese is accompanied by his teenage daughter and her boyfriend. Hayes, like previously cast Robert "IronE" Singleton , is fresh off of The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock. The Walking Dead is now shooting in Atlanta, Georgia.
