[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the A Million Little Things series finale.] A Million Little Things says goodbye to one from their friend group and looks ahead in the finale. The series ends with an assisted suicide, with Maggie (Allison Miller) ultimately the one by the dying Gary’s (James Roday Rodriguez) side when the time comes. Then it jumps forward 15 years to show the friend group happy, together, and expanding, and fittingly ends on a Bruins game, with Gary and Maggie’s son Javi in attendance with Theo, Danny, and Tyrell. Creator DJ Nash (who co-wrote the finale with Rodriguez) and showrunner Terrence Coli answer our burning questions about the series. DJ, talk about writing the finale with James. DJ Nash: Incredible. Gary is a combo platter between me and him, so it seemed fitting. So much of this last season was just beautiful gifts, whether it was getting Christopher Lloyd to come to Vancouver...

Spoilr Alert: The story includes details about the series finale of ABC’s A Million Little Things.
DJ Nash’s drama series A Million Little Things ended the way it started, with the death by suicide of one of the friends whose close relationship was at the heart of the show. While Jon’s suicide in the pilot came as a shock to everyone, Gary’s (James Roday Rodriguez) passing in tonight’s series closer had been set up, with the final season building toward it as Gary battled terminal Stage IV lung cancer.
The finale revealed that Gary had made a pact with Rome and Eddie for them to help him die “with dignity” if the pain became unbearable. No longer able to speak, Gary evoked the promise by writing “Rutledge,” the friends’ key work for helping each other’s families. Eddie and Rome both struggled with Gary’s...

Ron Livingston will be back for the fifth and final season of ABC’s “A Million Little Things,” creator and executive producer DJ Nash said during Wednesday’s Television Critics Association press tour.
“You will see cast you haven’t seen in a while,” Nash said, “including Stephanie Szostak and Ron Livingston.”
The last time Livingston appeared on the show as Jon Dixon, the character’s whose death by suicide was the pivotal twist in the pilot and sets off the series about the character’s close guy friends and how they deal with Jonathan’s death, was on its second season.

A Million Little Things is bidding farewell to its audience with a parallel to the first season, as the group begins to rally around a friend who is fighting for his life after a cancer diagnosis.
During ABC‘s Television Critics Association panel on Wednesday, showrunner Terrence Coli and executive producer DJ Nash discussed how they were planning to bring the series to a close.
“It feels like a bookend,” said Coli, in reference to how the show began with Jon Dixon (played by Ron Livingston) dying by suicide in the pilot and its impact on his close friends. “The friend group is going to rally around Gary [whose cancer returned in Season 4 but only Maggie knew about it until Rome accidentally stumbled upon his secret in the season finale]. They have been there for reach other and have shown up, through all the trials and tribulations.”

A Million Little Things‘ upcoming fifth season is expected to be the final one for ABC’s serialized ensemble drama. While that has been an open secret, the network is yet to confirm it. That may change soon.
“Stay tuned in the next few weeks for discussion of that and our other midseason shows,” Simran Sethi, EVP, Programming and Content Strategy, ABC Entertainment, told Deadline.

When A Million Little Things in May scored an eleventh-hour renewal, Deadline reported that Season 5 was expected to be the final one for the serialized ensemble drama. The network did not confirm it at the time and has yet to acknowledge that Amlt will be ending this coming season, but that remains very much the case.
While ABC has been trying to keep things open — as we reported, the network had asked the Amlt creative team not to write the Season 4 finale as a series finale — the series producers accepted the Season 5 pickup with the presumption that it was going to be the show’s final chapter. That is how the season has been conceived and remains on course as a final chapter that is slated to premiere in 2023.

We might be saying goodbye to the friend group in 2023 (as we worried). A Million Little Things Season 5 is being written as the end of the ABC drama, according to TVLine. It was reportedly “mutually” decided by creator DJ Nash, ABC, and ABC Signature/Kapital Entertainment. The network has yet to make an official announcement. This news of the drama potentially ending comes as it’s moving to the midseason after being a fall show for its first four seasons. When speaking with TV Insider about the Season 4 finale, Nash spoke about that move. “[Executive producer Terrence Coli] and I, having done 38 episodes really back to back — we were still editing Season 3 when the Season 4 writers room started — were really looking forward to having a little bit of break, to catch our breath and perhaps doing a shorter episode count this season, it seems like that’s what the network plans are too,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the A Million Little Things Season 4 finale “Just in Case.”] A Million Little Things pulled the rug out from under us, with one reveal we’d expected and another that changed everything we thought about recent episodes. First of all, Anna (Erin Karpluk) did kill her ex-husband, Peter (Andrew Leeds) — the teacher who’s assaulted Sophie (Lizzy Greene) — albeit accidentally and was arrested after confessing. Meanwhile, Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) and Maggie (Allison Miller) found out they’re having a baby, but then Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina (Christina Moses) watched one of his videos and found out Gary has cancer. In happier news, Katherine (Grace Park) fixed things with Greta (Cameron Esposito). Executive producers DJ Nash and Terrence Coli break down the finale and tease what’s ahead. What can you say about the story you want to tell for Gary this time when it comes to cancer? DJ Nash:...

ABC has picked up ensemble drama A Million Little Things for a fifth season. The network is not labeling Season 5 as final, but I hear it is expected to be the closing chapter of the DJ Nash-created series.
It came down to the wire for A Million Little Things, whose core cast includes David Giuntoli, Romany Malco, Allison Miller, Christina Moses, Grace Park and James Roday Rodriguez. In Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Lifetime found the perfect couple to blend what the channel does best: pop culture biopics and happily ever after rom-coms. Not since six years ago with Prince William and so-called “commoner” Kate Middleton has such a ripe, real-life story presented itself for adaptation. In the case of the new couple, however, specific details about Markle’s identity add narrative spice to the princess fairy tale: She is a divorced American actress who happens to be biracial.

The story behind the upcoming royal wedding sounds like the plot of a movie. In fact, it is sort of the plot of several movies out there already. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s love story may mimic so many fairy tale fictions, but Lifetime is turning things around and making a movie out of this true story in “Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance.” It’s no surprise they threw this film into production in advance of the May 19 nuptials. Back in 2011, the prolific TV movie network released a movie based on Prince William and Kate Middleton’s roller coaster relationship that led them to the altar at Westminster Abbey soon after its release. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship created a media frenzy practically overnight when the news of the relationship leaked in the fall of 2016. Lifetime is tapping into the ongoing worldwide interest with a ripped-from-the-headlines small...

A new sneak peek to "One Tree Hill" is released along with an insight from creator Mark Schwahn. The clip takes the scene when Haley and Brooke prepare meals and clothes for their men to go on a camping trip. Nathan and Julian are reluctant to go particularly because they are not used to hang out together.
In the synopsis, it is revealed that Julian agrees to a weekend camping trip but struggles to fit in with Nathan and the guys. Schwahn said that Terrence Coli wrote the episode so it can be expected that it would be "whimsical".
Back in Tree Hill, Brooke, Quinn and Haley spend Girl's Night doing a little bonding of their own. Schwahn said they are not going to do a special episode for Halloween festivity but there is still a spooky element involving the girls. They are going to have pot brownies and a psychic coming to the house.
