It has been more than 20 years since Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s The Simple Life premiered. The reality series followed the wealthy socialites as they struggled to do manual, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, farm work, serving meals in fast-food restaurants, and working as camp counselors.
The pair has now reunited on a new reality show at Peacock, the streamer confirmed. No details were revealed, but we’re told more info will be coming soon.
Hilton first revealed the news Monday in a joint post on Instagram with Richie and Peacock. “New Era,” they wrote. “Same Besties. Coming soon to Peacock.” The two also can be heard singing over the sound of a static television in an accompanying video.
Hilton set the stage for a possible reunion with a May 9 Instagram post featuring early photos of the two through the years, with a reference to their nicknames for each other,...

Award-winning film studio Neon announced today that it will release Immaculate, starring Sydney Sweeney, for digital purchase and rental starting April 16th. The film will be available on Blu-Ray and DVD starting June 11.
The home release follows Immaculate‘s success at the US box office. It quickly became an audience favorite, grossing over $15.2 million and counting and remaining in the US box office top 10 for three weeks.
Sweeney stars as Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.
Neon acquired Michael Mohan’s Immaculate, produced by and starring double Emmy Award-nominee Sydney Sweeney, ahead of its SXSW World Premiere. This marks a reunion between Sweeney and Mohan, who helmed 2021’s The Voyeurs with the actress.

Now that Daily Dead readers have had a chance to check out Immaculate in theaters, I am excited to share my recent interview with director Michael Mohan! We talked in detail about the film last week, from the journey the project took to get to the big screen, to working with Sydney Sweeney, and the ending everyone is talking about:
[Spoiler Warning]
What was the journey this project took to get into production? I understand it took a little bit of time and I'm curious about when you got involved in the process.
So it was the longest process for Andrew [Lobel], the writer. He came up with this about 18 years ago and it almost got made at a studio, where Sydney had auditioned for the part. She had multiple callbacks, but ultimately the film ended up falling apart.
Years passed and Sydney was tracking the project, seeing what was happening with it.

In his review of the new horror film Immaculate (you can read it Here), JoBlo’s own Chris Bumbray said the movie – which reunites Sydney Sweeney with Michael Mohan, who directed her in the erotic thriller The Voyeurs and the Netflix series Everything Sucks! – is “a decent throwback to Dario Argento-style Italian horror movies.” During a recent post-screening Q&a at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Boston Seaport, Mohan also revealed that one particular scene in the movie was inspired by the work one of my favorite grindhouse era filmmakers, Jack Hill – and that same scene also had to be salvaged with the help of Saw X director Kevin Greutert!
Our friends at Bloody Disgusting shared the information from the Q&A, reporting that Mohan said, “The biggest scene that did not work and I’m still not happy with is the scene when Isabelle tries to drown Cecilia. I studied a...

Exclusive: Charlotte Le Bon (Falcon Lake) has joined Season 3 of HBO’s The White Lotus in a role that is being recast. She is replacing Francesca Corney, who had been originally tapped for the part, sources close to production tell Deadline. HBO would not comment but we hear that the producers felt they needed someone who played older. Details regarding the character are being kept under wraps.
This is the second recasting on White Lotus‘ upcoming third season. Previously, HBO parted ways with Serbian actor Miloš Biković who had voiced support for Russian President Vladimir Putin. Bulgarian Julian Kostov was cast as his replacement, as Deadline reported exclusively.
Season 3 of Mike White’s hit anthology series is currently in production in various parts of Thailand including Bangkok and the island of Koh Samui and Phuket. Not many details are available regarding the new chapter’s plot beyond that it follows...

HBO’s The White Lotus may be an anthology, but that doesn’t mean we’re done seeing characters from past seasons. Jennifer Coolidge returned as Tanya McQuoid in season 2 after becoming a fan favorite in the show’s first season. And now Natasha Rothwell, who played White Lotus staff member and wellness guru Belinda Lindsey alongside Coolidge in season 1, is set to come back for the show’s upcoming third season.
With the announcement of Rothwell’s return, it was revealed by HBO and Max content chairman and CEO Casey Bloys that creator Mike White plans to bring at least one character back each season. This means that any character lucky enough to survive their time at the White Lotus could come back in the future. While one returning cast member per season doesn’t necessarily equate to the all-star super season that fans have been dreaming of, that...

Last month, the Motion Picture Association ratings board announced that they had given the psychological horror film Immaculate, which reunites Sydney Sweeney with Michael Mohan, who directed her in the erotic thriller The Voyeurs and the Netflix series Everything Sucks!, an R rating for strong and bloody violent content, grisly images, nudity and some language. Now, in an interview with Variety, Mohan has promised that the film gets extreme, just like that rating explanation indicated.

Fresh off her recent stint hosting “Saturday Night Live,” Sydney Sweeney made her way to Austin and SXSW for the world premiere of her new religious horror film “Immaculate” — and on Tuesday night, she had the crowd screaming (and laughing at their own reactions) at the Paramount Theatre.
The jump scares, in particular, had the entire theater jumping — and then giggling at their own fear. “Immaculate” leans into horror but also has plenty of moments of dark humor.
“I think that you really truly care about the characters and story,” Sweeney said during the on-stage conversation after the screening. “Yes, we wanted you guys all to jump in your seats and be hopefully horrified shitless. But you still care about the story.”
Neon is behind “Immaculate,” while Sweeney also produced the movie with Black Bear and Middle Child Pictures. The film is set to be released on March 22.

Sydney Sweeney is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, but fans are sure to be shocked by her wild new horror movie that pushes her creativity in front of and behind the camera to new extremes.
“Immaculate” is the third project that director Michael Mohan and Sweeney have collaborated on, after the 2018 series “Everything Sucks!” and the 2021 thriller “The Voyeurs.” Their newest creative vision is a project filled with twists, blood and a surprising amount of horniness for a movie set at an Italian convent. Sweeney plays Cecilia, an American nun who transfers to Italy and is forced to face a lot of dark secrets hidden in the walls of the gorgeous nunnery. Sweeney is also a producer on the film, which is set to debut on Tuesday at this year’s South by Southwest festival.

Actor Julian Kostov is joining HBO’s The White Lotus, replacing Miloš Biković in the show’s cast.
Kostov (Shadow and Bone) will recur in the show’s third season, which is set to begin filming in Thailand this month. He joins the cast after HBO “decided to part ways” with Biković, following public criticism from Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs over Biković’s seeming support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In a Jan. 24 social media post, the ministry wrote, “HBO, is it all right for you to work with a person who supports genocide & violates international law?” over a video clip of statements Biković has made about Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea. The Serbia-born actor has worked in Russia for the past decade; he received an award from Russian leader Vladimir Putin in 2018 and became a Russian citizen in 2021.

“The White Lotus” Season 3 has added Julian Kostov to its cast.
Kostov will appear in a recurring role in the HBO series that was previously held by Miloš Biković. Biković was recently cut from the series, however, over his support of Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin in the country’s war against Ukraine.
“Today, a targeted campaign has been unleashed against me, seemingly as an external maneuver to influence decisions that can create a disturbing precedent shadowing the essence of artistic freedom,” Biković previously said in a statement. “The result of such a narrative is the triumph of absurdity and the defeat of art.”

Sydney Sweeney is starring as a twisted Virgin Mary in horror film “Immaculate.”
The “Euphoria” actress leads the Michael Mohan-directed feature, re-teaming with her “The Voyeurs” director. The official synopsis reads: “Cecilia (Sweeney), an American nun of devout faith, embarks on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Her warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.”
The trailer shows Cecilia realizing she is pregnant despite her nunhood while fearing the sinsiter potential of the baby growing inside her.
Andrew Lobel penned the script for the Neon film, while Sweeney produces with Jonathan Davino under her Fifty-Fifty Films production banner.
“Immaculate” marks many reunions with Sweeney’s past collaborators: Sweeney and director Mohan first worked together on the Netflix high school comedy series “Everything Sucks!,” while producer David Bernad was behind “The White Lotus.

Earlier this week, the Emmy-winning HBO series added Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Michelle Monaghan and Tayme Thapthimthong. The whole gang joins Natasha Rothwell, whom Variety exclusively reported would reprise the role of Belinda in Season 3 back in April 2023.
Season 3 of “The White Lotus” will be set in Thailand, as Variety exclusively reported in March. According to HBO, production will start in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok in February.
Rothwell — who was nominated for an Emmy for the show’s first season — recently talked with Vanity Fair about Season 3, and said she’s read all of the scripts. “I gasped out loud a minimum of five times and this was just me reading them,” Rothwell said. “The...

It appears hopes have been dashed for those holding on to the belief that somehow Jennifer Coolidge survived HBO’s The White Lotus season two and will return for season three. Granted, the odds were against anything other than a Coolidge flashback.
The official casting announcement for season three confirms Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and Tayme Thapthimthong will lead the cast of the critically acclaimed, Emmy winning series. In keeping with the previous two seasons, season three will find the new cast visiting a different White Lotus resort property.
The announcement also confirmed filming will take place in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok beginning next month.

Sydney Sweeney’s upcoming horror film ‘Immaculate’ has been acquired by Neon. The firm will distribute the ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Anyone But You’ actress’ latest movie after landing North American rights to it, which was produced by Sydney, 26, along with Black Bear and Middle Child Pictures. Neon is planning a theatrical release on a yet-to-be-determined date. Directed by Michael Mohan and written by Andrew Lobel, ‘Immaculate’ follows Sydney’s character Cecilia – a woman of devout faith who is offered a new role at an illustrious Italian convent. Her warm welcome to the European countryside is soon interrupted as Cecilia discovers her new home has dark and horrifying secrets lurking under its pleasant façade. Principal photography on the project wrapped earlier in 2023 with Simona Tabasco, Alvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli and Dora Romano also starring alongside Sydney. The actress produced the movie with her fiancé Jonathan Davino for Fifty-Fifty Films, alongside Middle Child Pictures’ David Bernad,...

Fourteen months have gone by since we heard that Sydney Sweeney – whose credits include Euphoria, this weekend’s romantic comedy release Anyone but You, and the upcoming Sony Marvel movie Madame Web – was going to re-team with Michael Mohan, who directed her in the erotic thriller The Voyeurs, for the psychological horror film Immaculate. We hadn’t heard anything more about the movie until today, but it’s a positive update: Neon has acquired the U.S. distribution rights and they’re planning to give Immaculate a theatrical release. They didn’t say when this release might happen.
Scripted by Andrew Lobel, Immaculate sees Sweeney taking on the role of Cecilia, a woman of devout faith who is offered a fulfilling new role at an illustrious Italian convent. Her warm welcome to the picture-perfect Italian countryside is soon interrupted as it becomes clearer to Cecilia that her new home harbors some dark and horrifying secrets.
