New Kids on the Block are back, with their first album in over a decade, Still Kids, out today, May 17.
The 14-track album was announced back in March, alongside new single “Kids,” an Eighties-style pop gem about making the most out of every moment. New Kids dropped one more single ahead of the album’s release, “A Love Like This,” which arrived in April. Still Kids features a couple of guests, with DJ Jazzy Jeff joining the Boston boy band on “Get Down” while Taylor Dayne sings on “Old School Love.

Chicago Fire sure loves its recurring storylines — to the point where they become repetitive storylines, instead. Season 12 saw the classic “someone’s out to get 51” plot recycled for the fourth time with the introduction of the new Paramedic Chief which pissed off many fans… But Season 12 is not yet done with inventing new rivals for Firehouse 51, it seems: this Wednesday, another one shall arrive.
Famous Artist Joins Chicago Fire
New Kids on the Block used to be one of the most popular American boy bands and it’s still going strong today. But the confines of the music industry proved to be too restricting for the artists’ liking, and one of the band members decided to join Chicago Fire for a quick and energetic one-episode cameo in the next episode.
The band’s Joey McIntyre recently shared an update on his collaboration with Chicago Fire.

Tom Hollander and Niamh Algar are set to lead “Iris,” a new Sky Original drama from “Luther” creator Neil Cross. It is a Sky Studios and Fremantle co-production.
“‘Iris’ is a sun-drenched chase thriller about a rootless and enigmatic genius, Iris Nixon who steals a code from charming philanthropist Cameron McIntyre and goes on the run,” reads the logline. “Armed only with her lethal intelligence and chameleonic charm, the clock is ticking for her to work out what the code could unleash before she is found.”
Algar (“Mary & George”) stars as Nixon, a social media manager and puzzle addict who spends her free time solving complex riddles. When she stumbles across a post online about a highly secretive code, she puts herself forward to try and crack it – leading her straight to Cameron McIntyre (Hollander). Comedy Central has handed a 10-episode order to Golden Axe, a new animated series based on the popular Sega video game. Produced by CBS Studios in association with Sony Pictures Television and Original Film, Golden Axe voice cast is led by Emmy winner Matthew Rhys (The Americans), Danny Pudi (Mythic Quest), Lisa Gilroy (Jury Duty), Liam McIntyre (Spartacus) and Carl Tart (Grand Crew).
Described as a hilarious and loving homage to Sega’s 1989 video game series, Golden Axe, from exec producers Mike McMahon and Joe Chandler, follows veteran warriors Ax Battler, Tyris Flare and Gilius Thunderhead as they once again battle to save Yuria from the evil giant Death Adder who just won’t seem to stay dead. Fortunately, this time they have the inexperienced and underprepared Hampton Squib on their side.
Rhys will play Gilius Thunderhead, a grumpy battle dwarf with exceptionally poor hygiene and a chip on his shoulder.

Warning: contains spoilers for the Blue Lights series one finale.
When Blue Lights arrived in 2023, it felt like counter-programming to the news headlines. Real life was filled with reports of police corruption, brutality and deadly crimes committed under cover of the uniform, and here was this drama, offering an alternative.
Grace, Tommy and Annie were that alternative. New recruits to the Police Service of Northern Ireland, they weren’t in uniform to abuse power or take greasy backhanders, they were there to help, and they had the courage of their convictions.
That isn’t to say their courage and convictions weren’t sorely tested by the reality of the job. As they discovered, policing a community riven by historical conflict is tough enough without MI5 doing deals with local kingpins that keep the drugs and crime flowing. Not to mention anonymous death threats and the violent loss of beloved colleagues.

As of this writing, there have been well over 400 WrestleMania matches since the event began back in 1985. Since then, countless WWE wrestlers (and even a couple celebrities) have battled it out in so many different ways and with quality that runs the gamut from unwatchable to undeniable. In what is supposed to be WWE’s biggest annual show, some matches fall short, but others rise to the occasion and put together some unforgettable performances.
But today we’re celebrating the very best matches WrestleMania has ever offered wrestling fans. But first, some ground rules. First, as there are so many WrestleManias to cover, we are only going to allow one entry per event. The modern shows with two nights of festivities will only count as one combined event. Second, to keep things from becoming repetitive, there will be no match redundancies. If two wrestlers battled it out in multiple WrestleManias,...

Vince McMahon was leading a fairly perfect life after having co-founded the modern WWE with his wife, Linda McMahon. But then everything came crashing down on him with a series of serious allegations from a former employee that the 78-year-old McMahon had to resign from his position as the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment.

Yet, what’s worse is that his sad story didn’t even end with this sacrifice. According to recent reports, McMahon is said to have reportedly joined the list of all those celebrities whose names are banned from being spoken on the promotion’s programming — something that Brock Lesnar’s wife is very well aware of, being a member of it herself.

For an Academy Awards that were meant to be incredibly predictable, there were still plenty of moments at the 2024 Oscars that kept the in-house audience on their toes.
Working backwards, it cannot be understated how disruptive Al Pacino’s presentation of the Best Picture winner was in the room. Those in the know were already thrown off by his haphazard nod to “The Godfather Part II,” clearly an attempt to save face by the veteran Best Actor winner, a bit of misdirection involving his missing “Scarface” co-star Michelle Pfeiffer, who had previously been announced as a presenter on this year’s show.
And yet, the most unsettling moment was Pacino’s casual delivery of “And my eyes see ‘Oppenheimer,’” which was met with silence, as the Dolby Theatre audience tried to process if he was serious or not. On YouTube, the whole moment plays at a little bit of a faster pace,...

Donnie Wahlberg has a Blue Bloods bucket list full of things he wants to happen before the show ends.
One of those things is for Blue Bloods to continue past Season 14 – which CBS deemed the last for the hit cop drama.
Blue Bloods fans agree with Donnie, and a Save Blue Bloods campaign has been going strong since the Season 14 premiere.
In fact, as Monsters and Critics previously reported, Donnie gave a shoutout to Blockheads for helping to keep #SaveBlueBloods trending each Friday night.
The other thing on Donnie’s Blue Bloods bucket list is to have his music and acting worlds collide.
That’s right. Donnie wants New Kids on the Block on the show and has a storyline in mind for one of his bandmates.

During the February 2nd edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes sparked controversy by surrendering his WrestleMania 40 main event position to The Rock, leading to substantial criticism. Nevertheless, the narrative took an unforeseen turn during the WrestleMania 40 kickoff press conference, injecting a notable amount of drama into the scenario. With that said, The Rock’s WrestleMania 40 plan might have been spoiled by a WWE Hall of Famer.
Cody Rhodes and The Rock
Fans have been eagerly anticipating a showdown between The Rock and Roman Reigns, but not at the cost of Cody Rhodes’ storyline. Initially, it seemed that way on Friday Night SmackDown, but fortunately, the situation has improved at WrestleMania 40. Nevertheless, fans should manage their expectations accordingly.

The Jackson 5 have found their harmony once again for the upcoming biopic “Michael” from director Antoine Fuqua and Oscar-winning producer Graham King.
After a worldwide search led filmmakers to cast Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, as the King of Pop, with 9-year-old Juliano Krue Valdi as the younger Michael, fans have been eagerly waiting to see who would round out the rest of the Jackson family.
The film, which is scheduled to hit theaters on April 18, 2025, is currently in production. Oscar-nominee Colman Domingo assumes the role of family patriarch Joe Jackson with Nia Long as mother Katherine Jackson, plus Miles Teller as lawyer John Branca.
Now, the eight actors who will portray Jackson’s four brothers — who come together to form the massively popular singing group the Jackson 5 — have been revealed: Jamal R. Henderson plays Jermaine Jackson in the film’s later years, while Jayden Harville plays the younger version.

Match #1: Tiffany Stratton def. Liv Morgan The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Seconds after driving Liv Morgan into the SmackDown announce table, Tiffany Stratton disrespected Bianca Belair with a slap as The Est of WWE was watching the match at ringside. The irate Belair climbed up to the apron, only to inadvertently delay the official’s ability to count Morgan’s pin attempt. When Stratton kicked out, Morgan’s momentum caused her to accidentally knock Belair off the apron, allowing Tiffany to roll up Liv for an enormous win prior to her Elimination Chamber Match against Morgan, Belair, Becky Lynch, Naomi and Raquel Rodriguez.

It was six years ago when former Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow told journalists backstage at the Grammys in 2018 that women needed to “step up” for their representation at the show after only men won out in the major categories. Phoebe Bridgers hasn’t forgotten.

Following the success of Air, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are reuniting again on the kidnapping thriller Animals, with Damon starring and Affleck directing. Connor McIntyre penned the script with revisions by Billy Ray. The film will be produced by Affleck, Damon and Dani Bernfeld of Artists Equity and Brad Weston and Collin Creighton of MakeReady, who developed the project in partnership with Fifth Season.
Plot details are vague outside of it revolving around a kidnapping. Artists Equity’s Michael Joe and Kevin Halloran will serve as executive producers alongside Fifth Season. ‘Tis the season for holiday films. This year, Susie Abromeit is stepping into the spirit playing an interior designer tasked with a career-changing assignment — a Christmas charity ball — that requires working with a difficult, but handsome, stranger.
Designing Christmas With You is the latest project from Abromeit’s four-picture deal with Great American Family, which was announced in the fall of 2021. She produces and stars alongside Liam McIntyre.
The actress, who had a breakout role in Jessica Jones, has done a string of rom-coms for the network following appearances in King Richard and The Forever Purge. What’s different about a holiday film? Mostly, the snow.
“It was really well-made soap that looked like snow,” Abromeit notes. “The Christmas aspect is always dialed up. It’s all about the hot cocoa, the trees and the decorations, good feelings, the nostalgia.”
Ahead of the movie’s Dec. 16 release, Abromeit spoke with...

Over the 46 years since the acrimonious divorce of the two groups behind the Emmys, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS, or the TV Academy, which now presides over the Primetime Emmys) and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS, which now presides over the Daytime, Children’s & Family, News & Documentary and Technology & Engineering Emmys), the relationship between the two organizations has been frosty, to say the least.
But the further that the disputes that led to their separation have faded into the past, and given that the parties in this divorce share custody of a precious child — namely, the world-famous Emmy statuette — the leaders of both organizations have become increasingly interested in coordination and collaboration, if not remarriage just yet, they told The Hollywood Reporter and Variety during a virtually unprecedented joint interview earlier this week.

Mike Greene, the former president of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, has been sued for sexual assault by the former head of the Los Angeles chapter of the Academy, who says he drugged and raped her in 1994.
In the suit, filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Terri McIntyre accuses Greene of repeatedly harassing and assaulting her over the course of two years at the Recording Academy, which allegedly “engaged in a cover up” by hiding evidence of his history of sexual misconduct and had a “pattern and practice” of buying the silence of his other victims through the illegal use of confidentiality agreements.
In a statement, the Recording Academy said: “In light of pending litigation, the Academy declines to comment on these allegations, which occurred nearly 30 years ago. Today’s Recording Academy has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to sexual misconduct and we will remain steadfast in that commitment.

“In that role, she was subjected to pervasive sexual harassment, battery and assault by the organization’s then CEO and president, Mike Greene,” according to the suit, which further states that Greene, who served from 1988 to 2002, and others in power “covered up the crimes and offenses, not only those crimes against her, but crimes against other young and vulnerable women.”

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: Drew McIntyre def. Sami Zayn The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With a new aggression and cunning streak, Drew McIntyre battled Sami Zayn in an electric opening contest. Zayn appeared to have suffered an injury after limping gingerly on his leg, and McIntyre relentlessly hit Zayn with spinebusters and powerbombs. With Zayn unable to stand on his injured leg, McIntyre leveled Zayn with a blow to the back of the knee before blasting Zayn with the Claymore to pick up the victory.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Nia Jax def. Shayna Baszler The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Colleen Ballinger is back.
For the first time since posting the overwhelmingly ill-received ukulele video where she sang about how allegations that she sent sexual messages to underage fans were all part of a “toxic gossip train” full of “lies and rumors that you made up for clout,” Ballinger has uploaded a YouTube video.
