Welcome to this week’s review of Aew’s latest television show, Collision, which brings wrestling back to Saturday nights! We’ve got the commentary team of Nigel McGuinness, Kevin Kelly and Tony Schiavone calling the action, so let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Sting & Darby Allin def. The Workhorsemen (Jd Drake & Anthony Henry) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Anthony Henry blindsided Darby before the match began. Sting pursued Henry, but Jd Drake tried to hit Sting in the back with a chair. Sting turned around and smacked the chair back into Drake’s face, only for Flair to chop Drake! Flair sent Drake ping ponging the other way into a lariat from Sting. Anthony Henry swept out Darby’s legs on the apron. After wiping out Sting, Henry splashed Darby against the barricade. Henry powerslammed Darby and then Drake splashed Darby off the top turnbuckle for a near fall.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast live from the Stockton Arena in Stockton, California. We’ve just got Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz on commentary this week, so let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Aew International Championship Match – Rey Fenix def. Nick Jackson The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Rey Fenix and Nick Jackson traded and countered a flurry of offense. Rey Fenix rolled out to the edge of the ring, checking on his injured back. Nick tried to powerbomb Rey onto the floor, but Rey Fenix countered with an arm drag off the post and onto the arena floor. Nick stood up clutching his back. Nick took down Fenix with a hurracanrana off the guardrail. Nick nailed Fenix with a backstabber in the ring. Rey Fenix kicked Nick Jackson’s leg out from beneath him, with Nick landing on the...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features a moderate six matches (and isn’t a bunch of repeats unlike this week’s Elevation – hence no review of it). Let’s see what went down…
Match #1: Harley Cameron def. Mafiosa
My Thoughts: Qtv’s “Harley Cameron” gets her first singles match on Dark and it was a pretty solid debut. Nothing to set the world alight but both women gave as good as they got and in the end it was everything a Dark debut could be against enhancement talent that are, unfortunately, never booked as aggressively as signed talent.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Blake Christian def. Lee Johnson
My Thoughts: Honestly I was surprised to see Lee Johnson lose this one – even if it does feel like its been an eternity since he’s been on Aew programming. That’s not really the...

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, and yes, given how much wrestling we had to cover last week I missed last week’s show! This week features seven matches and a number of big-name stars! We’ve got Ian Riccaboni, Matt Menard and Jose the Assistant on commentary, so let’s get into the review…
Match #1: 10 def. Baron Black
My Thoughts: Baron Black jumped 10 before the bell and 10 totally no-sold it, along with everything else Black tried to throw at him. I do wonder what the plan is for 10… He is being head-hunted by Jose the Assistant on behalf of the Lfi, yet when he gets a decent singles match Aew throw Orange Cassidy into the mix?! Then he goes and has squash matches like this. What is the plan? What It It?!

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means, it’s time for this week’s review of Aew: Rampage! This week’s show was broadcast from the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C. and featured Excalibur, Chris Jericho and Jim Ross on commentary… Now let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta def. Isiah Kassidy, Marq Quen & Rush The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
William Regal joined the commentary team for this match. The Firm watched from the front row. Kassidy and Yuta chain wrestled. Wheeler rolled up Kassidy for a near fall. Rush tagged in and taunted Moxley. Moxley tagged in and he and Rush slugged it out in the center of the ring. Mox charged in with a high boot to Rush’s jaw. Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which emanates from Aew Universal once again. We’ve got Taz and Excalibur on commentary as usual, so let’s get to the action!
Match #1: John Silver def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: This was a really solid start to this week’s show. Serpentico was his usual reliable self (even if we did get a screaming Luther in his corner) and so was Silver. A great match even if this felt like something of a showcase for Silver on the road to the Trios Championship final.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Diamante def. Charlette Renegade
My Thoughts: Diamante’s back! It’s been some weeks since we’ve seen her in action, just a shame she had to come back to Renegade Sisters shenanigans, which totally took away from this match this week rather than adding to it.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Angelo Parker def.

Match #1: 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match – Bryan Danielson def. Daniel Garcia The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Danielson and Garcia grappled on the ground until Danielson got the mount. Garcia got out but Danielson started the ground and pound. Garcia transitioned to a knee bar and both competitors began to exchange kicks. Danielson got a heel hook to counter the knee bar. Garcia backed Bryan into the corner and then slapped him. Bryan connected with an open palm strike and followed up with a suplex. Garcia used a butterfly suplex on Bryan Danielson and then applied an arm lock.

Match #1: Brody King def. Darby Allin The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Darby blasted Brody with a shotgun dropkick and then followed up with a tope suicida. Darby’s feet got hung up on the middle rope and Brody took advantage of this, grabbing Darby and hurling him into the steel ring barricade. Darby jumped on Brody’s back but Brody flung him off and followed up with two consecutive sentons onto Darby. Brody King chopped Darby’s chest. Darby jumped off the turnbuckles but Brody countered with another chop. Brody grabbed Darby by the belt and rag dolled him across the ring.

Another episode of Aew: Dark, which this week features fourteen, yes Fourteen(!), matches. Though this show has also gone back to the traditional format after last week’s tremendous show which showcased two matches filmed internationally… I fear no Dark may ever live up to last weeks… Especially not one crammed with 14 matches like the old pandemic days!
Match #1: Jora Johl def. Luke Sampson
My Thoughts: Poor Jora Johl, it really looked like he was being set up to be a big star, with a future turn against Matt Hardy probably propelling him up the Aew card. Then Jeff hardy joined Aew and the Hfo disbanded and Johl has been seemingly forgotten. Though he has out in some decent time on Aew’s YouTube shows, it feels like he’s fallen into the Factory/Dark Order trap – win against jobbers on YouTube, Be the jobber of Dynamite/Rampage!

Orange Cassidy wanted to begin with a Grego Roman knuckle lock but placed his hands in his pockets instead. Wardlow tore the pockets out of Orange’s pants. Cassidy avoided a lariat and followed up with head scissors, but Wardlow cartwheeled out of it! Chuck Taylor tried to pass a chainsaw into the ring but ref Bryce Remsburg intercepted it, catching Best Friends red handed! He ejected them from the ringside area. Another episode of Aew: Dark, which this week is back being taped at Aew Universal. Let’s join Taz and Excalibur, commentators for Dark as usual, and see what this week’s Nine matches have in store… The match count keeps getting higher!
Match #1: Max Caster def. Trever Aeon
My Thoughts: Trever Aeon certainly has a striking look, however he didn’t have the striking ability to beat Max Caster who took the fight to Aeon in a typical Aew quasi-squash match!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Serpentico def. Vary Morales
My Thoughts: Serpentico wrestling in another singles match without Luther? Joy! Here he takes on the ever-reliable Vary Morales, who’s always impressed in his Aew appearances. And that’s the case here too, as Morales goes toe-to-toe with Serpentico in a fantastic, fast-paced match between two evenly-matched competitors.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #3: Kris Statlander def.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, we’re back to just Mark Henry and Paul Wight on commentary and this week’s show is another short card, featuring 6 matches this week. Let’s get right into the action!
Match #1: Ethan Page def. Jd Griffey
My Thoughts: Griffey had a decent showing here in this quasi-squash match, but this one was Ethan Page’s to lose. It’s good to see Page actually wrestling on Aew television and not just cutting promos. Maybe now Scorpio Sky has the TNT Title spotlight that some of the spotlight will rub off on Page. Here’s Hoping!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Roh Women’s Title Match – Mercedes Martinez def. Hyan
My Thoughts: Mercedes Martinez gave Texas local Hyan a Lot of room here. It even looked like she was doing Hyan’s moves for her at one point!

Cm Punk was the special guest commentator for this match. The match began with tremendous chain wrestling between Dax and Cash. They got to their feet, smiled, and shook hands as a sign of mutual respect. Dax superplexed Cash, but both men felt the impact. Dax went up for a diving headbutt but Cash dodged it. Cash tried a body slam but Dax countered with a cradle for a near fall. Cash employed a powerbomb reversal for a near fall.Cash nailed Dax with a piledriver for a two-count. Cash shoved Dax off the top turnbuckle.

Match #1: Jay Lethal def. Jd Drake
My Thoughts: This was a great opener with one of my personal faves Jd Drake holding his own against Jay Lethal. I know Drake isn’t going to win this but he gave one hell of a performance, making Lethal work for the win. One day Drake will get a solo win against one of Aew’s big-name stars.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: The Butcher & The Blade def. Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean
My Thoughts: The Butcher follows up his fantastic singles match last week with a total squash match on poor Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean.

Welcome to this week’s Aew: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the fallout from Cm Punk’s official arrival into Aew. He’s All Elite! Wouldn’t it be better to just call him Elite? Calling every new signing All Elite is bad grammar…Kelsey Grammer. Scrambled eggs! On this show, we have a bunch of matches I don’t remember and Malakai Black fighting Brock Anderson, because Tommy End still wants to mooch off of his mediocre WWE run instead of investing in his fantastic run before the WWE. If I were Tommy, I’d be less obsessed about my failed WWE run and more intent on getting people to ask if I had wrestled somewhere before the WWE under a different name. Well, since I am about to go out on a date with Dave Thomas from Sctv, I think...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, which emanates from the Union Center in Chicago… Yes, the same venure Cm Punk made his Aew debut on Friday!
Match #1: Thunder Rosa def. Heather Reckless
My Thoughts: Heather Reckaless makes her Aew debut in another of the now all-too-familiar Thunder Rosa quasi-squash matches. Kudos to Rosa for letting all these women have a spot to show themselves in the best light and show off some of their skillset… and she can still appear on Dynamite as an ass-kicking main eventer!
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Varsity Blonds def. Ren Jones & Brayden Lee
My Thoughts: Another squash match, although I honestly don’t mind when the Varsity Blonds get to squash their opponents. Why? Well it makes them look strong – and nowhere did the duo look stronger than when Griff Garrison caught Brayden Lee with what looked to be a stiff kick!

Opening with a replay of the post-Saturday Night Dynamite promo by Eddie Kingston (which was already available to view on Aew’s YouTube channel) this weeks episode of Aew Dark: Elevation is going to one of the final few before Aew hits the road and, I’m guessing, we don’t see as many indie wrestlers making their appearance(s) as enhancement talent on Dark and Elevation… Anyway, back to the review!
Match #1: Billy Gunn and Colten Gunn def. Jd Drake and Ryan Nemeth
My Thoughts: I was hoping for something interesting from this opener and instead we got another Gunn Club quasi-squash match; with Colten taking a beating from Nemeth and then Jd Drake (though there were a couple of botches and telegraphed spots as it happened), before tagging in his dad to run buck-wild on the Wingmen and get the win after hitting the Famouser on Nemeth.

Welcome to this weeks episode of Aew: Dark, I’m editor Phil and let’s not mess around with extraneous introductory waffle and let’s just jump straight into this weeks episode!
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Rex Lawless
My Thoughts: Well this one went on longer than expected for a Lance Archer squash match! Still this one didn’t go longer than two minutes with Archer eventually hitting the Blackout of Lawless for the win. Nice to see Archer taking on someone slightly bigger than normal too… seems unfair to have him throwing little guys around all the time.

Match #1: Jade Cargill def. Rache Chanel
My Thoughts: A fast and decisive squash match for Jade Cargill, which techinically was little more than a reason “Smart” Mark Sterling to cut a promo about and on behalf of Cargill.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Santana & Ortiz def. Liam Gray & Adrian Alanis

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which is the first (I think) to be filmed in front of a huge live crowd and deals with the fallout from this past weekend’s Double or Nothing. And in a real shocker… this episode is not even Ninety minutes long!
Match #1: The Acclaimed – Max Caster and Anthony Bowens def. Brent & Brandon Tate
My Thoughts: The Acclaimed delivered yet another great match against twins, and current Ovw Tag Team Champions Brent & Brandon Tate – how displayed just why they are champs. Though it was enough for the fluid tag team work of Bowens and Caster.

Welcome to this return of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this simplified version of the column shall encompass all of the major reviews on the site and serve as the exclusive debut of many of the leagues’ different reviews, including the Major League Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, National Wrestling Alliance, Nxt UK and 205 Live, along with my versions of the two Aew: Dark reviews and the debut of New Japan Strong. These promotions will have their matches scored and the best match of the week will be named before we wrap-up with a verdict on the week in wrestling overall. Okay. Let’s kick some ass. Melvin McMelvin: You cannot say such things! Me: Who the f—k are you? McM: I am Melvin McMelvin, attorney for the Internetal Protectorate! I represent the decency of the internet! I got rid of Cambodian Thong Pies!

Welcome to this weeks episode of Aew: Dark which, like is companion show Aew Dark: Elevation, has been on a run of good episodes recently. Let’s see is Dark drops the ball like this weeks Elevation… Straight away it loses points for yet another 2-hour show!
Match #1: Powerhouse Hobbs def. Dean Alexander
My Thoughts: The match was over faster than it took me to write this sentence. Seriously. What’s the point in having these types of matches? Quick squash matches do nothing except possibly make the winner look like a beast and/or piss the audience off with the waste of time in a 2 hour show!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Dante Martin def. Falco
My Thoughts: Another superb match from Dante Martin, at this rate he’ll be on the path to a singles championship before his brother gets back from injury! That 450 splash is one hell of a finisher,...

This weeks Aew Dark: Elevation got a Lot of things right, so lets see if Aew can follow-up one great show with another… Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark!
Match #1: The Acclaimed def. Fuego Del Sol and D3
My Thoughts: No! Not another squash match for poor Fuego Del Sol. He’s got to get a win in someday doesn’t he? Much like their E;levation appearance, this match was pretty much to show how The acclaimed are back together and just as good as before Bowen’s injury. Just a shame Fuego had to be in yet another losing side.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Matt and Mike Sydal def. David Ali and Aaron Frye
My Thoughts: The Sydal’s on Another episode of Dark; and after Matt appeared on Elevation the night before. I said it my review of that show and I’ll say it again,...

Welcome to this weeks Aew: Dark review, which comes hot on the heels of the Revolution pay per view and – as I’m in the UK – after the news that Aew and Impact are teaming up for a Champ vs. Champ title match next month!
Match #1: Powerhouse Hobbs def. Angel Fashion
Powerhouse Hobbs opened Dark with a match against Angel Fashion who, given that he lost in a tag team match against Team Taz’s Ricky Starks and Brian Cage last week, seems to be a human punching bag for the oragen and black mean machine crew. Oh, and this was a squash… As if you coudln’t guess given the size difference between these two men.
My score: 1 out of 5
Match #2: Scu def. Azriel & Danny Limelight
Azriel and Limelight were thrown together in a tag match against Scu, who were fresh off their Loss at Revolution in the Casino Tag Team Royale.

I’m Nathan Favel and we have another fine review of Dynamite to discuss, thanks in part to TalkTech, the premier voice-recording technology of the decade. We have… Mr. Kramp: Nathan! Get your ass up here! The Venus Fly-Trap that looks like a big d–k-head is wilting! Me: Yes sir! Gosh! I sure don’t want to piss off Mr. Kramp! He was in ‘Nam! He feasted on their ass-holes and wore their balls around his neck like a giant pearl necklace. I’m told that is a fine way look good on a Saturday night…if you know what I mean. Mr. Kramp: Stop reviewing the damn wrestling and fix the damn plant! Me: Yes sir. I gotta get up there. Anyway, Dynamite starts… Mr. Kramp: Nathan! Now!

Since its inception last year, Aew has been a company that relies on records on and statistics. It’s an analytical approach to wrestling that has made Tony Khan’s promotion stand out against WWE, whose booking often feels directionless and without any continuity.
But Aew finds itself falling into the same traps as WWE sometimes.
Mjf is set to challenge Jon Moxley at the All Out pay-per-view next month. Mjf is a future star, there’s no doubt, but Aew has done little to get him ready for a main-event push. Again, in a company where wins and losses matter, and where there are rankings and supposedly a strict system to who gets title shots and who doesn’t, Mjf’s record just doesn’t seem worth of a world title match.
Sure, he hasn’t been pinned or submitted, but let’s look at who he’s faced.

Welcome to this week’s All Elite Wrestling: Dark review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m writing this out of order, so I can say a bit about the numerous accusations of sexual misconduct (to put it very lightly) from wrestlers all over the world. Just because there are a plethora of deviants in wrestling, that doesn’t mean you have to quit wrestling or be ashamed to watch it, but it does mean that it’s gonna leave a bad taste in your mouth for a while. As many pigs as there are in wrestling, it would seem we also have many who are good people as well. Jordan Devlin may be a monster, but Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) seems to be a good man, by and large. Marty Scurll might be a scum-bag, but Jeff Hardy has a great reputation (his drug addiction...

Welcome to this review of Ring of Honor: The Experience, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a show that was voted on by fans, so Sanjaya will win. Ha! I don’t care if that American Idol joke is old. I’m a freakin’ genius! Okay, alright, I’m an idiot. Happy? Let’s see what the fans voted on already.
Match #1: Dragon Lee defeated Jeff Cobb The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Cobb was chosen as Lee’s opponent by receiving 41 percent of the vote, beating out Pj Black (31 pct.), Kenny King (15 pct.) and Eli Isom (12 pct). Lee scored what some consider an upset by turning a Tour of the Islands attempt into a crucifix pin.
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – This was a really good match, but it’s a shame that Cobb lost again. Who did he piss off? Greg Gilliland/Gilleland/who f—–‘ cares maybe?...

Match #1: Soldiers of Savagery (Moses and Kaun) beat Sal Rinauro and Michael Stevens The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Sos jumped their opponents before the opening bell. After hitting a couple of power moves, Sos hit Promised Land on Rinauro and Stevens, stacked them and pinned them. Time of the fall: 49 seconds.
My Opinion: 1.3 out of 5 – Remember when Rinauro was seen as one of the more important wrestlers on the indie circuit under-card? At least Sal got back on TV. Any-way, this was over before a sheep could sneeze the Pledge Of Allegiance.

Match #1: Shane Taylor won a Six-Man Mayhem Match over Luchasaurus, Chris Sabin, Rhett Titus, Kenny King and Flip Gordon The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
King and Titus, who were former Roh World Tag Team Champions years ago as the All Night Express, faced off early in the match and battled to a stalemate. Then they started working together, using double-team tactics to get the better of Taylor and Luchasaurus.
