Pent-up frustration by actors over the way audition process has evolved — or devolved — during the pandemic erupted this week when actors Ever Carradine, Merrin Dungey and Sprague Grayden slammed an ad by Betty Mae Casting offering paid self-taping services for non-Betty Mae projects. Their comments launched a heated discussion about the wide use of self-tapes, which have replaced the vast majority of in-person auditions over the last three years.
Because the conversation was triggered by the ad from Betty Mae, the company of well known casting director Mary Vernieu, with SAG-AFTRA calling casting offices charging for audition tapes “an optical and ethical disaster,” the society of Hollywood casting directors have found themselves in the eye of the storm.

Exclusive: Jack Burditt assumed he had the blessing of Tim Allen when he was first asked to adapt The Santa Clause franchise for Disney+. But that wasn’t exactly the case.
Flashback to May of 2020, when a studio executive reached out to the Emmy-winning sitcom writer to see if he could find a way to bring Allen’s Scott Calvin, aka Kris Kringle, to the small screen. Naturally, Burditt wanted to know if Allen was on board, especially given the way they last parted ways. Burditt created Last Man Standing for Allen in 2011 but walked away from the then-abc comedy during its first season after a death occurred in his family.

Are the darks days really over for Pearson Specter Litt?
That was addressed on Suits Season 6 Episode 11 when it became abundantly clear Harvey and Louis would be fighting to the death in order to save the firm following the departure of Jessica.
For what it's worth, Harvey at least tried to keep it together by attempting to bring everyone back to the firm, but for Mike, he was over it. Donna stole the show when she told Harvey to make things right with his mother.
He's been relying on his Psl family for far too long, so adapting to the change that's coming to the firm was always going to be difficult for him to process.
You could tell he was hurting. The firm was a shell of its former self and that was horrible for him to watch.
