Fans of the 1990s’ Spider-Man: The Animated Series, rejoice - the stellar voice cast are teaming up for new show War Of The Rocketmen…
For children of the 1990s, and presumably those who parented children in the 1990s, and anyone who just loves a good superhero animation, Spider-Man: The Animated Series is swathed in good will and nostalgia.
The show, which serialised Spidey’s legacy in 30-minute chunks, was undeniably excellent. We recall a particularly brilliant arc about Morbius The Vampire.
The cast reunited for a panel at Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo over the weekend to discuss the show’s twentieth anniversary, and announce their new project.
"You are the current avatar of this Marvel deity. This is our Iliad. This is our Odyssey," recalled Spidey-voicing actor Christopher Daniel Barnes, speaking of the responsibility of the role. "It touches something universal in us. When you get the chance to...

We here at GeekTyrant feel there are many unsung heroes in the world of movies and television. So today we decided to throw some love at just one of those unsung heroes, the narrators. Narrators are especially important in commercials. Half the time you have no idea what they're advertising until the announcer comes on. In film and television, narrators help bring the story to life or take you inside a character's heads. In some cases, narration absolutely Makes the show what it is (e.g. The Wonder Years, Pushing Daisies).
It's the show's stars who usually get impersonated. So if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, narrators aren't getting flattered enough. In this video we shine some light, and poke some fun at a few of our favorite masters of the microphone.
Check out the video and enjoy. Who's your favorite TV Show or movie narrator?

As you might imagine, studios are combing their libraries to find related items to reissue to tie in with the frenzy surrounding the May 3 opening of The Avengers. Coming Tuesday are two more discs that come closest to the feature film, a sextet of Marvel Animation films in two sets. Making their Blu-ray debut, the first set is Ultimate Avengers Movie Collection which contains the two animated films based on the successful Ultimates comic, along with the bonus film Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow. The other Blu-ray set is merely dubbed Marvel Animated Features and contains Planet Hulk, Invincible Iron Man, and Doctor Strange.
Both Ultimate films pretty closely follow the initial Ultimates arcs from Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch although the script is better at aping Millar than the animation is following Hitch’s naturalistic style. A significant change is that Tony Stark’s identity remains a secret and...
