Kelly Clarkson is opening up about one of her darkest moments in the spotlight.
In a new interview with Attitude magazine's Awards Issue, the 35-year-old singer reflects on the time when she was "really skinny" -- and why it made her so unhappy.
Back in 2002, Clarkson rose to fame after winning the first season of American Idol. And although it seemed as if she had everything going for her, she felt pressured by Hollywood executives to look a certain way in order to continue her journey in the music industry.
"When I was really skinny, I wanted to kill myself," she admits. "I was miserable, like inside and out, for four years of my life. But no one cared, because aesthetically you make sense."

Stevie Nicks is opening up about the final moments she spent with the late Tom Petty — and the last time she watched him perform.
In a revealing interview with Rolling Stone, 69-year-old Nicks recalled performing with Petty and The Heartbreakers in July at London’s Hyde Park before sitting with Shania Twain to watch Petty own the stage.
“Shania and I watched Tom’s show and sang at the top of our lungs,” the legendary singer told the publication. “I look back on that and what a magical moment that was: Shania got to stand there with me and watch my boys.

Alec Baldwin’s movie “Blind” has come under fire from a group that advocates for the disabled for casting the “30 Rock” alum in the role of a sightless person. In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Ruderman Family Foundation president Jay Ruderman accused the movie of “treating disability as a costume,” likening the casting to blackface. “Alec Baldwin in ‘Blind’ is just the latest example of treating disability as a costume,” Ruderman said. “We no longer find it acceptable for white actors to portray black characters. Disability as a costume needs to also become universally unacceptable.” Also Read: Alec Baldwin's Advice.

The most impressive thing about “Documentary Now,” the Bill Hader/Fred Armisen/Seth Meyers collaboration that’s just launched its second season on IFC, is the attention to detail. In creating these stand-alone tributes to iconic docs like “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” and “Grey Gardens,” the team prides itself on accuracy beyond compare for all elements of production, even going so far as using 1920s camera lenses for the first season’s “Nanook of the North” homage, or traveling to Tijuana to capture that edgy “Vice” feel.

That stunning ability to recreate the look and feel of the original documentaries is of course accompanied by jokes. But to some degree, it’s the basic act of recreating the docs with Hader and Armisen in the lead that serves as the primary gag — and it’s now clear...

Special effects legend Ray Harryhausen, whose dazzling and innovative visual effects work on fantasy adventure films such as Jason And The Argonauts and The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad passed away in 2013 at age 92. In 1933, the then-13-year-old Ray Harryhausen saw King Kong at a Hollywood theater and was inspired – not only by Kong, who was clearly not just a man in a gorilla suit, but also by the dinosaurs. He came out of the theatre “stunned and haunted. They looked absolutely lifelike … I wanted to know how it was done.” It was done by using stop-motion animation: jointed models filmed one frame at a time to simulate movement. Harryhausen was to become the prime exponent of the technique and its combination with live action. The influence of Harryhausen on film luminaries like Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Peter Jackson, and...

Crysis and Ryse: Son Of Rome developer Crytek have announced their latest game, but it’s probably not what you were expecting like, at all. The Climb – a virtual reality game that Crytek says will give players “the rush and thrill of free solo rock climbing” is headed exclusively to Oculus Rift, so if you’re not a fan of Vr but love Crytek games, you’re out of luck, unfortunately.
Judging from the good-looking trailer above, The Climb will do just that when it releases – it’s looking fantastic, even in these early stages. Be warned though, if you’re afraid of heights, this is most definitely not the game for you.
Speaking of what the studio aims to give players with The Climb’s gameplay, Crytek said:
The Climb uses elements of the real life sport in gameplay to give players the sensation of rock climbing. For example,...

The Fine Brothers have released a new episode of Elders React, and in this one they have a group of older individuals watch the full trailer to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. These people were obviously a lot younger when the first Star Wars films were released, and as you'll see, some of them are still hardcore fans who are excited for the upcoming movie. My favorite guy in the video is Rock. He's definitely the most pumped up out of everyone in the video, and how can you not like a guy named Rock!? He also has the best reaction to the trailer. Check it out!
