The strike-shortened NCIS Season 21 is almost at an end. However, in the season finale entitled “Reef Madness,” the synopsis could alarm Katrina Law fans who are concerned about her character Agent Jessica Knight. Why could fans be concerned that Katrina is leaving the CBS military procedural series?

The NCIS Season 21 finale is almost here. According to TV Insider, “One of the team is going to be at a crossroads.” Fans of the CBS series don’t have to wait too long to guess who that is. After 12 seasons, Curb Your Enthusiasm has come to a close. Seinfeld co-creator Larry David played a curmudgeonly version of himself for 120 episodes of the semi-improvised cringe comedy, which was nominated for 47 Emmy Awards over the course of its run.
But all good things must come to an end, which Curb Your Enthusiasm did in April of 2024. Luckily, one of Cye’s stars has a perfect replacement series on Netflix.
Smoove Move
Jb Smoove played Leon Black in Cye for the last half of the series. He was introduced in season 6 as the brother of Larry’s love interest Loretta Black.
After Hurricane Katrina destroys her home, single mom Loretta moves her family in with Larry. Leon ends up tagging along with his sister (even though he already lived in LA and was unaffected by the hurricane), and sticks around to be Larry’s roommate even after Loretta leaves.

Hazimation, a small LA-based animation studio, has officially launched their biggest project, a fully animated CG movie called Max Beyond, on digital platforms. Max, a small boy, has been held captive in a research facility for years due to his ability to open rifts to other dimensions. Those who hold him prisoner want to exploit this power, but Max has a plan to escape…if he can just reach his older brother. Leon is planning to break in and bust him out, but Max doesn’t think this is a good idea — he can’t find an outcome where this doesn’t result in Leon’s death. Can Max and Leon save each other? That may require a different approach. “When Max discovers his captors are using his power against him, he realizes he must stop focusing on how the story ends and rewrite the story from the beginning,” reads the description.

There are few sub-genres in gaming as satisfying, thrilling, and gruesome as zombie games. The adrenaline-inducing experience of killing hordes of enemies is something that can make a title feel so good, that TV shows adapt to the source material.
The Last of Us, for instance, is one of those games that combines the thrill of the undead with a heartwarming story. Similarly, many zombie games have taken the industry by storm, and here are 8 of the best games that should be on your list if you’re someone who can’t wait to shoot, dodge, and shed a tear against the undead.
8. Dead Rising 2 You can even attach chainsaws to motorcycle handles. Just saying.
While the franchise itself is great, Dead Rising 2 has one of the goofiest mechanics in a zombie game, while a story that has a clock ticking makes things equally tense. Set in a shopping mall...

Freewheeling documentary presents a compelling if somewhat rambling portrait of the hardscrabble roots of many contenders
Admittedly, their freewheeling boxing documentary is a little rambling and understructured, but nevertheless director Steve Read and producer-narrator Robert Douglas (both Brits) end up making a compelling and illuminating mosaic about the sport by focusing on an eclectic range of figures, some interviewed on screen. The opening sequence, narrated by Douglas, starts with his personal recollections about how much watching boxing meant to him, especially as a biracial kid from the roughest parts of Liverpool. He ended up living in one of Philadelphia’s seamiest neighbourhoods where he felt right at home, and this leads into a portrait of young boxers at an inner-city Philly gym where training and competing have opened up whole new worlds for young men who otherwise might have been sucked into the violence of the streets.

Since the loss of Garrison Brown, there are many fans unsure about how the future Sister Wives seasons can work. While some fans are adamant they will not watch, others want something positive to come out of the terrible loss of one of the Brown family members.
The Future Of Sister Wives
Seemingly, the filming had already been in progress for Sister Wives Season 19 before the death of Garrison Brown. Since they have already proceeded with the production, it appears there will be a continuation in the story of the Browns. However, some fans are leery about how TLC will lay out the series. Some want to see as much as possible and others believe it would be torture to watch now that Garrison has died. Additionally, there are many discussions about what moving forward looks like for the show. Notably, some fans think the story should highlight the three...

Max is looking for the universe in which his rescuer brother Leon survives in this British animation, but some clever variations aside, it’s slow going
It’s been a two-way street: there are movie spin-offs of video games, and vice versa. Now comes this British animation, made at the same time as a companion game due out next year (and animated using the technology behind Fortnite). Like Blade Runner, it’s set in a futuristic American city with impossibly tall skyscrapers. Like the cult Japanese anime Akira, the storyline concerns experiments on children. Here they’re being treated at a research facility owned by an evil mega-corp where AI security guards with hi-tech machine guns keep out the protesters.
One of the kids inside is Max, a fragile boy with huge sad green eyes (voiced by Cade Tropeano). Max has been having violent dreams in which his much older brother,...

It was only appropriate that the 1,000th episode of the NCISverse aired on the Mother Ship.
While NCIS Season 21 Episode 7 didn't live up to all the hype (what could have?), it was still enjoyable and well-constructed.
It also skillfully drew upon NCIS's long history, going back 21 seasons.
The spotlight fell on Rocky Carroll's Director Vance, who has been too close to becoming a recurring character in recent seasons.
The storyline hearkened back to one of Vance's shining emotional moments when his wife Jackie was killed during an assassination attempt on Eli David on NCIS Season 10 Episode 11.
As expected, that event had lasting repercussions on the Vance family.
Kayla followed her father's lead and became an NCIS agent afloat.
Jared, who was closer to Jackie, had been adrift since then, never committing to anything in Leon's mind.

Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” aired its series finale after 24 years and 12 seasons on Sunday, when it reached 1.1 million viewers.
Calculated from a combination of Nielsen’s measurement of linear viewers on the HBO cable channel and Warner Bros. Discovery’s own data regarding streams on Max, this marks the highest viewership of any episode of Season 12, which debuted on Feb. 4.
The finale also drew the “Curb Your Enthusiasm’s” largest audience since 2020, when the Season 10 finale hit 1.4 million viewers. That episode predated the launch of Max, and instead streamed on now defunct platforms HBO Go and HBO Now, as well on cable.
Titled “No Lessons Learned,” the episode concluded an arc that began with the Season 12 premiere, wherein Larry was arrested for giving water to a woman in line to vote in Atlanta. The finale sees Larry and his entourage through his trial, mirroring the 1998 courtroom finale of “Seinfeld,...

It’s pretty sad! HBO’s twelve-season run of Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm has officially ended after 120 fairly well-executed episodes. It has become difficult to distinguish between the real Larry David and the TV character because the co-creator of Seinfeld has made a career out of playing an exaggerated version of himself.
Curb Your Enthusiasm’s long-awaited, 53-minute series finale offers fans even more laughs, some well-timed cameos, and a hint at another finale that fans may have been predicting since the season’s opening episode.

So it’s no surprise that the show’s director, Jeff Schaffer, claimed that the final episode was a direct response to all the Seinfeld haters out there.

This article contains spoilers for the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" series finale.
There've been plenty of controversial sitcom finales over the years, but few caught quite as much attention as the ending of "Seinfeld" in 1998. Whereas most sitcoms tend to leave their viewers with a warm fuzzy feeling, giving their characters a happy ending and promising better days ahead, "Seinfeld" threw Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer into prison for an entire year. In keeping with the rest of the show, there is no character growth for anyone in the main gang; they spend the finale being the same petty, apathetic people they always were, and they are punished for it.
Since then, the "Seinfeld" finale's long been considered one of the worst sitcom endings of all time. Although "How I Met Your Mother" took some of the heat off it with its own controversial ending, there was still a long cultural...

Spoiler Alert: This article discusses plot points from the series finale of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
More than 25 years after he sent the “Seinfeld” gang to jail in the sitcom’s much-hated series finale, Larry David exonerated himself — both literally and figuratively — in the final moments of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
The April 7 series finale, which wrapped 12 seasons and 24 years of the unscripted HBO comedy, sees Larry on trial for accidentally breaking a Georgia voting law. In the finale, much like the last episode of “Seinfeld,” Larry sits on trial as rivals from his past — like Mocha Joe and Mr. Takahashi — serve as character witnesses for the prosecution, recounting every bad deed Larry has done.
Larry is found guilty and winds up in a cell, but while the “Seinfeld” crew remained in jail, Larry ultimately walks free — thanks to a legal caveat exploited by his old pal Jerry Seinfeld. As they prance out of the jailhouse,...

The fact that the final scene was on an airplane, with Susie Greene, played by Susie Essman, shouting at Larry, as always, felt symbolic, given that landing the plane for a series finale can be somewhat turbulent.
But Sunday’s finale came full circle from another major finale that Larry David was involved in. “This is how we should have ended the [Seinfeld] finale,” David tells Jerry Seinfeld after he got him out of jail.
Executive producer Jeff Schaffer and Essman spoke with Deadline the morning after the night before, discussing how they wrapped it up, how they feel about wrapping it up, being finally able to talk about it, how regularly Jb Smoove is pitching his own Leon spinoff and whether it really is...

[This story contains major spoilers from the series finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm, “No Lessons Learned.”]
Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s ending was long in the making.
After 12 seasons and more than 20 years, Larry David’s HBO comedy gem signed off on Sunday night with a classic callback to the Seinfeld series finale, which aired in 1998. And the overall reception so far brings to mind a familiar Larry phrase: It was a pretty, pretty good way to wrap.
Even David — the star and creator of the series that sees him playing a loosely fictionalized version of himself — was happy after the screen cut to black, his longtime collaborator, executive producer Jeff Schaffer tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Speaking the morning after the top-secret series finale was unleashed onto the Curb audience, Schaffer and star Susie Essman (who plays the indefatigable Susie Greene) can finally speak freely about the genesis of Curb‘s ending, how long the idea to rewrite the Seinfeld finale...

Would you date the Bearded Lady? Midway through the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” finale, when Larry David is on the ropes — facing a loss in court for violating Georgia’s Election Integrity Act — and his old friend, Jerry Seinfeld, shows up for a last-second assist, that’s the hypothetical question the two men bat back and forth. She’s gorgeous, Larry says. She’s charming. She’s got it all. “The kind of woman you used to dream about as a teenager,” he says. But, you know… the beard. “Fly in the ointment,” Jerry says. “And this is a big fly. And he’s alive.” “What’s the worst that can happen?” Larry asks. “The worst that can happen is it’s a paper napkin,” Jerry says, “and she wipes her mouth, and part of it snags.”
Larry can barely contain his laughter,...

“I’m 76 years old, and I have never learned a lesson in my entire life.”
In the series finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David tells this to a child in an Atlanta hotel lobby who throws a ball at him. The mother wants the child to learn the lesson of saying “sorry,” forcing Larry to stay put and receive that apology. Larry doesn’t have time for that, and unleashes what is essentially the maxim for the entire series — and maybe David’s entire career.

Curb Your Enthusiasm aired its much-anticipated series finale on Sunday night (April 7), and fans are already calling it the “best finale ever.” Larry David looked back to his Seinfeld past for Sunday’s finale, which saw the fictionalized version of himself on trial for violating the state of Georgia’s Election Integrity Act. Earlier in the season, Larry was arrested for giving water to Leon’s (J.B. Smoove) aunt while she waited in line to vote. Much like the Seinfeld finale, which saw Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer in the courtroom, Larry’s trial sees the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Ted Danson, and the late Richard Lewis testifying on his behalf. His ex-wife Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) and long-time friends Jeff (Jeff Garlin) and Susie (Susie Essman) also take to the stand to try and defend him. Despite being hailed a hero throughout the season for his law-breaking act (even though...

Spoiler Alert! This story contains details from the series finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO.
After 12 seasons, Larry David officially signed off as Larry David on his HBO comedy. And as predicted, he used his time on Seinfeld to help tie up loose ends on Curb.
The action began with Larry heading back to Atlanta to face charges for handing out water at a polling place at the start of the season. Traveling with him is Jeff (Jeff Garlin), Susie (Susie Essman) and his longtime roomie Leon (D.B. Smoove), who declared he was going to catch up on old episodes of Seinfeld during the flight.
“You never told me it was a show about weekly ass,” he rants to Larry.
While driving into the city, Larry encounters an irate, bird-flipping driver named Cynthia (Allison Janney), who ends up being the latest squeeze of Richard. Naturally, Cynthia denies later that she was the one who tussled with Larry on the freeway.
In court, the prosecutor (Greg Kinnear) tries to bolster his case that Larry both violated the Election Integrity Act and is a general menace to society by questioning several antagonists from the comedian’s past: Mocha Joe (Saverio Guerra), the country club’s Tackahashi (Dana Lee) and the real Lt. Alexander Vindman, who “won’t tolerate corruption from Trump, Putin or Larry David.” Bruce Springsteen returned, too, as did Tracey Ullman.
The Curb flashbacks and stars just kept coming. Ted Danson showed up in Atlanta for the trial, as did Jerry Seinfeld (as himself), Dean Morris (as the judge) and Sharlto Copley (as Michael Fouchay).
Despite flashing a heart sign to the jury, Larry didn’t make a good witness for himself. The jury, naturally, convicts Larry.
“You have a history of doing the same thing wrong, over and over,” says the judge, who sentences Larry to a year in prison.
The comedian ends up in a cell that’s not unlike the one that Jerry, George, Kramer and Elaine were in during the polarizing, 1998 series finale of Seinfeld. But that’s not where this comedy ends: the real Jerry shows up to tell Larry that he’s a free man because one of the jurors broke sequester. The charges were thrown out!
“It’s over,” says Jerry, who gestures to the jail cell. “You don’t want to end up like this. Nobody wants to see it. Trust me.”
As the two walk out of the jail, Larry exclaims, “This is how we should have ended the [Seinfeld] finale!”
Replies Jerry, “How did we not think of that?”...

And, that’s a wrap on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
The series finale of the Emmy-winning HBO improv comedy kicked off with a big circle back to how the final season began, with the ensemble heading to Atlanta to support Larry David (played by series creator-star David) in his trial.
For a refresher: Season 12 opened with Larry getting arrested for violating a 2021 voting law in Georgia when he gave Leon Black’s (Jb Smoove) Auntie Rae (played by Ellia English) a glass of water while she was waiting in line to vote. Larry didn’t know about the law, but he became a liberal hero anyway, with the likes of Stacey Abrams, Bruce Springsteen and Sienna Miller becoming his adoring new fans.
An unfortunate issue with a replacement lawn jockey, however, led to Larry pleading not guilty to obstructing the election process...

Spoiler Alert: This article discusses plot points from the series finale of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
After nearly 25 years of Larry David’s disagreements, feuds and outbursts, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” aired its final episode on Sunday.
The appropriately-named “No Lessons Learned” — the 10th episode of Season 12 — wrapped up a season-long arc that started when Larry was arrested in Atlanta for giving water to Auntie Rae (Ellia English) while she was in line to vote, violating local law. Through the season, he became something of a pop culture hero for doing the right thing, even though had no idea he was breaking any law, let alone making any sort of statement.
Of course, Larry’s entourage heads to Atlanta for the trial, including Cheryl (Cheryl Hines) and Ted Danson (playing himself), Jeff (Jeff Garlin) and Susie (Susie Essman), and Leon (J. B. Smoove) and Richard Lewis (playing himself). Richard headed to Atlanta...

Multiple run-ins with the law. Countless enemies. A healthy dose of Seinfeld finale references throughout the season. Let’s just say “No Lessons Learned” is the perfect title for Curb Your Enthusiasm’s swan song.
In the very last episode, our favorite curmudgeon headed back to Atlanta to stand trial for violating Georgia’s Election Integrity Act, but Larry couldn’t quite weasel his way out of this one without some dire consequences. Luckily for him, Jerry Seinfeld stopped by to support his friend and wound up saving Larry’s hide in a major way. Let’s take it from the top.

HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is so effective at creating a plausible reality for Larry David‘s eponymous character that one could be forgiven for assuming the entire series is simply shot in pre-existing locations. While the show has unquestionably made hilarious use of dozens of Los Angeles locations over its 12 seasons, some of its most recognizable environments are sets that have been carefully designed and decorated to express character.
The guest house in which Larry’s permanent roommate, Leon Black (Jb Smoove), lives is a case in point, and its design is a subtle blend of Larry and Leon’s personalities since it’s Larry’s property but, for all practical purposes, Leon has taken it over. “The big furniture is all Larry’s,” set decorator Eden Barr told IndieWire, “but Leon has ‘Leon-ed’ it up with things that make it his happy place.” To that end, the guest...

Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger recently fired off a letter to Larry David over a key storyline in the final season of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Rather than chide him over the show’s portrayal of a state voting law, Raffensperger tried his own wit, ribbing David while trumpeting a key accomplishment: shorter lines at the polls.
The Curb story arc started earlier this season, when David, on a visit to Georgia, was arrested when he gave a bottle of water to Leon’s aunt, standing in line at the polls.
That is a riff on Georgia’s real-life voting law, the 2021 Election Integrity Act, that prohibits groups from distributing food and drink to voters as they are waiting in line. Democrats seized on that provision of the law as an over-the-top restriction among several measures they said would suppress turnout.

The plot from this season’s Curb Your Enthusiasm has captured the attention on the state of Georgia’s top elections official.
The premiere episode of the final season for the HBO improv comedy featured star-creator Larry David being arrested for violating the state’s election integrity law after giving his friend Leon Black’s (Jb Smoove) aunt (played by Ellia English) a bottle of water while she waited in line to vote during a hot day in Atlanta. Larry (played by David) — whose mugshot invoked Donald Trump’s, when the former president was arrested in Georgia — is now facing a looming trial on the series.
The premiere storyline has been hanging over the entirety of the final season, which wraps with its series finale this Sunday.

You’ve likely heard of Chekhov’s Gun – the narrative principle from Russian playwright Anton Chekhov that posits if a gun is introduced in the first act, then it must go off in the third act. What you might be less familiar with, however, is “(Larry) David’s Trial.” And that’s because I just made it up.
David’s Trial states that “if a trial is introduced in the first act, then the character put on trial must be found guilty in the third act, thus referencing a controversial series finale of a beloved sitcom said character co-created in the ’90s.” As the final act of Curb Your Enthusiasm approaches, it sure seems like we’re about to experience the first-ever application of David’s Trial.

As “Curb Your Enthusiasm” prepares to bid farewell after a 24-year run and 12 seasons on HBO, star J.B. Smoove argues there’s one mystery left unsolved that he’d love to see get the spin-off treatment: What was Leon Black up to before he met Larry David?

After the recent ceremony for Garrison Brown, many Sister Wives viewers began to wonder about Meri Brown’s status with the family. Several people question if the Brown kids still consider her their mom.
Meri Brown Was Instrumental In Helping With The Family
While it is hard to believe that Meri Brown’s separation from plural marriage could affect her status as “mom,” some of the kids have been forward about Meri being abusive. On Reddit, one Sister Wives viewer poses a question about Meri. They say, “Meri and the wives/kids.” Then discuss how the family views her. “With Garrisons passing do Janelle, Christine and Kody acknowledge that Meri was still one of the kids mom?” Admittedly, the status may be muddy after the split. Furthermore, the user says, “I know there’s tensions between three women but do they consider her part of the family during celebrations/struggles etc?...

Maciek Hamela’s In The Rearview, a documentary that follows the stories of Ukrainians forced to flee the war, has won best film at the 2024 Vilnius Film Festival.
The Vilnius jury picked the “touching documentary” for its top prize in a unanimous vote. Filmed in the first days following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the film tells stories of trauma, loss and humanity as it follows a small van that crisscrosses the war-torn country, picking up Ukrainians as they are forced to abandon their homes at the front and shuttling them across the battered landscape into exile.
“In the backseat of the vehicle, the refugees talk about what they had to leave behind — their house, their animals, their family and their belief in a peaceful life — filling it with the fate of an entire nation,” the Vilnius said in its statement. “On its way out, it passes ruins, soldiers and tanks.

Kevin Hart wiped away tears on stage as he looked up from the bronze bust on a pedestal to the trio of comedy legends who had come to witness his professional highlight.
In the VIP balcony of the Kennedy Center opera house, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle sat side by side, watching Hart accept the Mark Twain Prize for lifetime achievement in comedy Sunday night.
“I didn’t start doing what I was doing to get awards,” Hart said. “I just fell in love with the idea of comedy.”
Hart rose from the open mics and comedy clubs of his native Philadelphia to become one of his country’s most recognizable performers — honing a signature style that combines his diminutive height, expressive face and motormouth delivery into an arena-packing stand-up act. He became the latest recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in a raucous ceremony...

Given how broad that genre is, we decided to stick to old-school action, so we have left them off the list, as they deserve their own ranking.
