Sean Brosnan, son of Pierce Brosnan and the late Cassandra Harris, didn’t cast his father in his 2016 feature directorial debut My Father Die (although Pierce was a producer on that film), but he did just cast the former James Bond in a prominent role in his second feature, the werewolf thriller Wolfland. Thanks to Sean, it sounds like we’re going to get see Pierce Brosnan battle a werewolf!
Scripted by Sean Brosnan and Matt D’Elia, Wolfland is described as being an “epic odyssey.” When a young teenager’s sister is viciously attacked and shows signs of a transformation, he leaves his small village in search of a legendary werewolf hunter who can reverse the gruesome curse. When he finds the “legend”, Devlin, slumped against a bar and in no mood for ghost stories, Devlin takes the kid’s money and agrees to hunt down this phantom monster, only...

Actor Pierce Brosnan, like many in his field, had to engage in the occasional love scene. And although it was for the sake of entertainment, his wife explained to her husband how onscreen love-making was a form of infidelity.

Brosnan’s wife, Keely Shaye Smith, is not too unfamiliar with life as an actor. Smith was once a professional actor, having starred in shows like General Hospital and Norman’s Corner, before becoming a journalist. She’d also been tied to Brosnan for decades, and was perhaps already used to the lifestyle of a Hollywood actor because of it.

Pierce Brosnan might be best known for playing James Bond and singing in the "Mamma Mia" films, but perhaps the most important role he's played is father to his five kids. And it seems like his offspring are following in his suave footsteps. His two sons, Dylan and Paris Brosnan (who he shares with his second wife Keely Shaye Smith), have become his frequent red carpet companions, including at the 2020 Golden Globes. They most recently stepped out with Brosnan for the premiere of "The Out-Laws" in Los Angeles on June 26.
Prior to that, the Brosnan men rocked up at the Vanity Fair and TikTok: A Night for Young Hollywood party on March 8 in LA looking as dapper as their 70-year-old father. For that event, Dylan, 26, was photographed wearing a plaid suit with a white shirt alongside girlfriend Avery Wheless. Meanwhile, Paris, 22, was suited and booted next to his girlfriend, Alex-Lee Aillon.

Pierce Brosnan has admitted that painting with his hands helped him to handle his late wife’s ovarian cancer.
The James Bond star was married to Australian actor Cassandra Harris from 1980 to her death in 1991, aged 43. The pair had one son, Sean, together.
In a new interview, Brosnan said that he had long been interested in art, with the pages of his script often covered in “repetitions of symbols, self-portraits. Emblems of some Celtic past”.
His first show will open at Seasons LA, a gallery in Los Angeles, next spring.
Brosnan told GQ that one of the works on display will show Harris “in her second year of ovarian cancer… dealing with that disease”.
“Carrying the weight and pain and the fear of that illness, I took out the paints,” he explained. “And started painting. With my fingers. With my hands, actually.”

When it comes to long-term Hollywood couples, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell or Meryl Streep and Don Gummer might come to mind first, but Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith have been showing everyone how it's done for 25 years now. Three years after Pierce lost his wife and the mother of his three kids, Cassandra Harris, in 1991, he met Keely while she was working as a TV correspondent at a party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She helped him put his heart back together, and it looks like it's been a fairy tale for the two - who made things official when they tied the knot in 2001 - ever since.

Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith have been together for 23 years (and married for 16), but the longtime couple could still pass as a pair of love-struck teenagers. While walking the red carpet on Monday for Pierce's upcoming show, AMC's The Son, they only had eyes for each other. Photographers snapped away as they giggled, shared a few cheek kisses, and basically looked like they were in their own little world. In a 2013 interview, Pierce credited meeting Keely after the loss of his first wife, Cassandra Harris, as a life-changing moment for him. "She is the most beautiful woman and someone who has been my North Star for many a day and a year now," he said. "We met when I was like Philip, adrift. I'd lost my wife and been a widower for three years. Keely is the backbone of our family, of my life, and I tell her that I love her every day.

Actor Pierce Brosnan got some downtime with son Paris Brosnan over the weekend in Malibu, when photographers snapped the 59-year-old former "James Bond" star and his 12-year-old son strolling with a beverage and skateboard in hand.
Paris is the son of Pierce and wife Keely Shaye Smith. Pierce had previously been married to actress Cassandra Harris, who died of ovarian cancer in 1991. On raising sons and being widowed, the Irish-born Pierce told Fox News recently that his religion helped tide him over in tough times.
"Grace under pressure, faith, Catholic faith, work and work and more work. It’s a devastating thing to befall anyone, to lose a partner, to be a single parent, it is the most overwhelming experience to be caring for children, to try to make ends meet, pay the rent, pay the mortgage, deal with the schools, teachers, homework. London, Apr 16: Pierce Brosnan has said that after the death of his first wife Cassandra Harris in 1991 because of cancer, he never thought that he would marry again.
But he met with Keely Shaye Smith in 1994 when the former journalist interviewed him, and the couple tied the knot in Ireland seven years later.
The 59-year-old actor said that Keely is cool about him romancing beautiful women onscreen and calls them "legal cheating," and has a great sense of humour about it, a great sense of who she is as a woman and security and faith within him.
The former James Bond star said that Keely is the most beautiful woman.

Pierce Brosnan admits that he's still struggling with the death of his first wife.
The actor, who's starring as a widower who falls in love with a woman battling cancer in "Love Is All You Need," reveals that the role has brought back a lot of memories concerning his wife Cassandra Harris' four-year battle with ovarian cancer 22 years ago. Harris, an actress, tragically died in 1991 at the age of 43.
Brosnan was crushed by the experience and was left to raise their then 8-year-old son Sean, now 29, by himself.
"I went through it all, very publicly," Brosnan, 59, explains to the Daily Mail. "Such things draw a mark across your heart and it’s always a part of your life. To watch someone you love have their life eaten away –- bit by bit, by this insidious and horrid disease –- becomes an indelible part of your psyche," he continues. "It certainly did for me and,...

As we count down to Skyfall's November 9 release, we're taking time out to look back at all of the famous thesps who've hit the big screen - to varying degrees of success - as the iconic MI6 agent. Next up in our retrospective look back is Bond Number Five, Pierce Brosnan.
In a turn of events that could only happen in Hollywood, Brosnan was actually offered the role of James Bond long before he ever appeared on-screen in 1994's GoldenEye.
After being spotted by Albert Broccoli on the set of For Your Eyes Only (Brosnan's wife, actress Cassandra Harris, played Countess Lisl von Schlaf in the movie), producers decided he had to be their new Bond. The timing seemed perfect. After all, NBC had just cancelled the actor's series "Remington Steele" and he was free to don the famous tuxedo. Pierce Brosnan made quite an impression at the Venice Film Festival on Sunday, as his latest film, Love Is All You Need, premiered to nice notices. The influential Hollywood Reporter raved about the European romantic comedy, and Brosnan in particular. “(He) looks dapper, distinguished and more relaxed than he has in a long time, despite playing an uptight workaholic businessman carrying around years of hurt and anger,” the review said. Brosnan did the press rounds at Venice to promote his project, and told reporters that he’ll always carry the James Bond tag with no regrets. Brosnan played Bond four times and earned hundreds of millions for the franchise before being replaced by current 007 Daniel Craig. “Bond will follow me for the rest of my days and happily so. To mark the 50th Anniversary of one of the most successful movie franchises of all time and with James Bond’s 23rd official outing in Skyfall due for release later this year, I have been tasked with taking a retrospective look at the films that turned author Ian Fleming’s creation into one of the most recognised and iconic characters in film history.
Despite Licence To Kill receiving a mostly positive reaction on its release in 1989 it was felt by many that the series had run its course. Over the following four years a legal dispute between United Artists, MGM and Eon Productions caused major delays jepordising the future development of the character. In the intervening years with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War James Bond was being pushed aside in favour of muscled action stars and comic book heroes bringing Bond’s relevance into question.

One of the elite group of actors in the James Bond franchise, the 59-year-old Brosnan portrayed 007 between 1995 and 2002 before Daniel Craig took the reigns in 2006. Brosnan starred in four Bond films, including 1995's "GoldenEye."
When Brosnan traded his secret agent persona to sing in the film "Mamma Mia!" in 2008, he told Good Housekeeping: "I'm pretty tried-and-tested in the world of 'suit acting.' So I'm thrilled to be able to tackle something like this. I'm excited to see what will happen next. Really, at this stage in my career, I'm happy to still be at the table."
Before the big screen, Brosnan made a splash on the television show "Remington Steel," which ran 1982 to 1987. In 2011, he made his way back to TV in the screen adaptation of Stephen King's "Bag of Bones," portraying a novelist in the A&E mini-series.

Brosnan Enjoys Cheap Picnic Dates With Wife
Pierce Brosnan snubs expensive restaurants in favour of cheap picnics on date-nights with his wife Keely Shaye Smith - because they have become frugal while building their new home.
The couple has been married for nine years and share two sons, as well the Bond star's biological son and two adopted kids from his previous marriage to late actress Cassandra Harris.
And Brosnan likes to keep their romance alive with al fresco meals at the site of their new home - but keeps costs down with cheap champagne so they can pour all their finances into a dream property.
He tells Britain's Reveal magazine, "I recently bought a picnic basket, filled it with caviar and a bottle of champagne - not the expensive stuff. She doesn't like to spend money because we're building a house, so everything goes into that right now. We sat there in the bare framework and dangled our toes from the first storey, no windows, with the picnic basket and watched the sun go down.
"We like each other and enjoy each other's company. She's very good at what she does as a mother, as a friend, in our partnership and I know when to say, 'Yes, dear.'
"She beautiful, she still breaks my heart. We've come through a lot together, which is bonding and, God willing, we still have a long way to go."...
