Brodie got the bug for acting by performing in summer stock He hooked up with MGM in 1944 and his career was lauched.
During a career that spanned 44 years, Steve appeared in 80 feature films plus 88 television series. 89% of his film appearances occurred in the 40s and 50s.
Brodie was a versatile performer who appeared a many genres:
dramas (42); westerns (21); crime/film noir (21); romance (18) and adventure (16).
His IMDb ratings are: Mean = 6.3; Median = 6.2 and

Brodie extended his career through TV series in the 50s and 60s. He had reoccurring roles on: Lassie, Gunsmoke, Rawhide and Bonanza. Three of these were westerns.
