Batman Begins (2005)

Don't hope for much here
15 June 2005
Well, like the loud and rowdy midnight crowd I was anxious for the movie. We sat down through exactly, well around 22 minutes of commercials and previews, and then finally the movie started. It started off awesome! Bats making the sign. Couldn't ask for more. But after not that many years ago having seen so many Batman movies, I felt there was no need to make this whole new very very long introduction of who Batman is... and how this Batman thinks he's a "Ninja" Which was kind of a lame idea. And seeing how everything was so simple... the batcave was a lame looking basement. Alfred didn't know how to put anything together so he kept placing orders for Batsuit stuff. LAME Bat Car. I really don't know what they were thinking off with this movie. I actually felt embarrassed in a sort of way like, awe man you're making a fool of yourself when he said "I'm Batman" I was thinking, wow this is Batman movie, I had forgotten that... and I was thinking it was just some lame movie. I really wanted to like it... But it really wasn't good at all. Needed a good villain. The only really awesome part in the movie, I think was the part where Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow saw Batman as this huge scary looking thing. Ahh, Christian Bale just looked bad at Batman. His cheeks were too fat looking and they were popping out of the suit. And what was up with him having to make that really funny voice for it? If people end up liking this movie, I will not have one clue why.

Has Depth

I like how this movie tried really hard to be true. It gave you details of the story, of the past and of what is really going on. You don't really entirely know what happens till the end of it. I didn't like too much when they used live action things. I like for things to either be an anime, or live action. When i saw it i felt like i was drawn into it, but then all this live action stuff came into place and i was kind of thrown off a bit and couldn't enjoy it too too much, but that's OK i still really liked it. It was interesting to see how the story came into play. It might even be considered a bit contriversial, but i think that's a good thing. It works as an anime and stands alone all on it's own. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes science fiction or whoever wants a good story. I am glad though that it was a short series, this could've even been shorter.

Funny Stuff!
9 September 2004
I saw this movie with my girlfriend. I don't think we stopped laughing at it for a bit. I think this is one of the funniest movies ever. Everything from it made me feel happy. This has about the most well defined characters you'll ever see on film that are true to how they really are. I enjoyed this film so much. The girl was really cute, and she was mean and she was sweet. The guy wanted a girl and all he ever really found was this girl who was actually a guy. Then the movie got really sad. I couldn't believe why the girl was so sad, but that part made me cry. It ended up being a quest on trying to find out what true love is. Letting go is a really hard thing, but letting go of something else you've found when you find out how dear that really is to you can mean the entire world in the end. I love this movie... :)

Should've been left alone
9 September 2004
This is a really good movie. I am still baffled as to why it was remade. Everything about this film leaves you wondering what is really going on. I had no idea what was going on in the movie, i was trying to figure things out and couldn't. I enjoyed this movie so much especially since i know Spanish as my second language. They changed too many things around in the subtitles, but that's OK. I let my mom watch this movie too, she said that she was scared by it. That's kind of funny, and sweet... but in a way i was scared with it too since you don't know what's going on and why people that are dead keep coming back to life. It's a mans fantasy turned against him into a nightmare. That's a true sense of what things could become to you. I recommend everyone watch this movie instead of Vanilla Sky. It's just so much better. I felt like Vanilla Sky was giving too much away. :)

Brilliant Movie
9 September 2004
I really liked this movie a lot. Sometimes i'll come back and refer to this movie when talking to well mostly my father. There was something about this movie that captivates you from the start. Your thrown in halfway in the movie without Much of knowing what's going on. The story slows down and you get to see struggles with a father and son story. This movie has a wonderful script, and very good lines. It is a very smart film that i think is just really good. It gives you a sense of how things were there, and how you can love someone and hate them at the same time. Or how you can love someone but never tell them of that love and yet they know. It's sad letting go and when bad things happen to you, you eventually are left to face the love in a form of anguish and hate.

Sweet and Captivating
8 September 2004
My life feels happy when i watch this. I Like all the characters in this anime. There is much depth added into this, so much detail and care was placed in it. I'd recommend it to all who haven't seen it. It is a great place to start an anime collection. The two movies for this is a hard way to let go, but you just have to see it. :) it does do better to you. If the series had been a little longer i think that would've even been better. there are other animes that run over 300 episodes. that's pretty crazy, but still pretty cool. interesting to watch everything change and to see how they manage with such small budgets. anyhow, this is a really good anime... i really love it.

Tragic
8 September 2004
I love this movie... It's such a sad film. It's sad enough to speak of love for such sad things. It starts off so pretty and happy. Such bright colors, pretty sky... then everything just changes. The colors never change, it is always pretty outside.. but the nights are what makes it sad. It made me feel angry of all the things that went wrong in this film... i wanted to be there, to help somehow... everything in this film is done so artisicly. The end of the movie is a perfect way to end sorrow. There is no better way to end something, than to simply end it. I recommend it to all who want to be touched. This is something that will never be done again. Nothing else like it. 10/10 for this one.

A Great Movie
8 August 2004
People seem to like bad movies like the first Birds. Hmm, i'm not really sure how anyone could have liked the first birds movie, it was just dull. i understand the things he was trying to say with it, the "artistic" things about it, but i honestly dont care about them. they're just stupid to me. now as for this movie, everything has their own special character. I liked how it was done, i honestly liked this Birds so much better than the first one. I'm tired of the overrated people from before. They had nothing to say, they had nothing good to do with their time, they ruined their own films and they've ruined people's lives from today by making them dumb into liking things from then. And now they call them masterpiece's ahh, how lame. at least this movie doesnt repeat everything people say twice.

Beautiful, Delightful, I even cried
4 June 2004
Harry Potter, what a wonderful story all the books have to offer. I really enjoy all the movies that come out and feel very attatched to it all. This movie as a movie itself is very good. Has all the effects you would want, they look brilliant surreal and so beautiful. As a movie compared to the book like all others, was missing stuff. It does not matter much. The parts that needed to be said were so magically put on screen it brought tears to my eyes, made me smile so happily, and with all the gloomy things going on i still laughed. This is such a great movie. I dont see why anyone wouldnt love Harry Potter. I think that this movie deserves to be seen by everyone, it has so many elements that are touching, elegant, charming and they all take you away.

What can I say?
25 January 2004
Finally a sci-fi movie for the stupid people. That's all this movie is. My goodness... it's just so horrible having things like this dragged into mankind. Just like how final destination 2 was unintentionally funny... man that movie made me laugh so much. Ahhh such stupid characters!! I feel so weak, so angry... so frustrated. Why are movies this stupid? Honestly... if you're gonna make movies for a living, put a little effort into it. User better actors. Spend some time on things! It's just too frustrating already! Sure some may say, bla bla bla not every movie can be great... I'm starting to think, not all the movies has to be bad!

Big Fish (2003)

What to make beautiful
11 January 2004
I've always felt like Tim Burton is a director much like a football team. They win games, they lose games, but the fans go crazy either way and are always there to cheer. Tim Burton fans admit what's bad that he's made, they've accepted defeat in certain aspects of his film career. As for Big Fish, it was a game where it went ahead by a few points... then in the story scenes would fly ahead uncathable... then the present would come, that's when things would start to fall apart a little. Things started to grow tired. Nothing was really being done with the present time. The present time could've been done with a big moral all in itself. I just felt a little angry at it. It is a wonderful movie though. Tim has a lot of potential. He needs to expand his creativity just a bit more.

Brilliant Fun!
23 November 2003
I think this movie is one of the funnies movies, if not the funniest movie I've seen, and one of the best movies ever. It has so many classic lines. Everything about it is so wonderful! I went with a friend to the theater, and we could not stop laughing. so what if we were the only ones laughing, and everyone was staring at us... we had fun! Most fun I've had in forever. I express myself, with my insides, and my tummy feeling all nice and warm and laughing all over again and again with how good this movie is. hehe... ~sigh~ I hope the cat in the hat returns!!

Bemused Sorrow
6 November 2003
I don't know what people were expecting from this movie. I think everyone was expecting something different to happen. Everything that is supposed to happen that was said was going to happen in the other films happens. Do people not like the way it happened? Everything feels like everyone is capable of doing more than their character does. Like Neo for instance, he mostly has the role of fighting and he always does it really well. But yet, it feels like he is about to make a break through to something else, but never does. This movie revolves so much more around everyone else other than Neo. It's worth watching everyone struggle, so much passion in everyone. So much love in it with everyone, you can really feel it. That made me feel happy in a sad way. The last fight scene by far is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a live action movie. But i won't give it a 10 just because of that. It was like watching an anime. A beautiful, very well done Anime. Still I simply feel like I've been hit over the head really hard with something not hard like a bat, but more like a bulky big back pack, and I don't feel like saying anything back to the people that did it, because it felt good in a way, but not really. It's just like you walk away cause you cant stay behind, you simply have to move on. I can just say I wish this movie had been better although it was pretty good. I wish I could love it, but I cant.

Memories
14 August 2003
This is a wonderful movie about a spanish band. I remember going to the theater in Mexico when i was a small boy with my mom. I love going to places with her. The movie translates to, "How could i have fallen in love with you" The band made this movie out of the song with the same title. Very emotional, slow sad song. Just like the movie is. Very touching throughout, especially when the singer goes to the studio and sings the song by himself. I recommend this movie to those who like nice, soft music.

I watched and felt sad
2 July 2003
While I was watching this movie, I kept feeling so sorry for The Terminator. They kept humiliating him in so many ways imaginable. They were making him tell corny jokes. There shouldn't be humor like that. That's just wrong. They should have at least up graded his power and computer level. I felt like he was an old Dos machine the whole time watching it. He never even kicked ass the whole time. He was just struggling to make it, and in the end still couldn't kick ass if it wasn't for that thing in his body. He never really has kicked ass if you think about it, what the hell man! I'm thoroughly in a state of disappointment. Why did they have to make so many new things, like making him a whole other different terminator? It looses its sentimental value you lived up for watching. I disagree with so many things in this movie. It literally had no potential. I can't help but feel sad with all this. James Cameron should have done it. It is his work, not someone who's done a dumb comedy back in 89, some action movie with Kurt Russell in 97, some TV. Movie, and a very repetitive submarine movie. Why?? I just don't get all this. It's such a shame this movie had to happen in such a bad way. A lot of the action didn't even feel like part of the story.

Hulk (2003)
10/10
Within everyones opinion
21 June 2003
After seeing this movie I am confused as to why people would rate this movie a 1. Obviously they have a lot of anger in them they've yet to resolve. To me, it just shows who the smart people really are, those who rate this movie higher. Everything is just so interesting, so intense in this storyline it just evens out so beautifully. In the theater where I was at, I just kept hearing the little kids say when does he turn into the hulk, and I'd hear them breathe in really hard whenever Bruce would get angry, and those weren't the times he would turn into the hulk yet. This movie has so much intelligence, such a deep plot, and a great issue in it literally brought tears to my eyes as I sat there in awe. I now know who some of the dumb people are out there, all of you who did not like this movie. ~Gets angry at you all~

Distinctly Beautiful
14 May 2003
The Matrix is so amazing. All that happens in the movie takes you away in a matter that grabs on to your mind and breathes for you. It's with such a love that you allow yourself to be elaborated in existence and be a part of this in a relative unique world. All in one big epic let yourself reign free amongst this, which in itself is what magnifacance, creates. Truly... a glorious movie. My full prudence of perfection.

It was an OK movie, nothing more
17 August 2002
I've just got back from a screening of this movie at a film festival. I'm glad to say I've seen this movie and enjoyed pretty much all of the movie. It's nothing great, and nothing that takes itself to serious, but I did enjoy watching it. I am happy to have seen a very good cast put together nicely, and Alec is a good director. Nice directorial debut on his behalf. I don't know why the devil had to be a female. It's clearly stated the Devil is not a female. But oh well, follow bedazzled mistake... who cares when all they're there for is simply not to be evil. This movie could have been better if taken more seriously. It's just not real to be a fantasy like story. 5 out of 10 stars for this movie.

A Touching Movie
10 April 2002
This movie is done very well. Mel Gibson is an excellent director, and a fabulous actor. I feel this movie touches many perspectives in History. Do you see the president out in the battlefield now in days? Yet the Kings of the country were out in the battlefield giving commands, standing there for their country, whether it's in ruins or ruling. The tragedy in this movie is so sad, it makes you want to jump in and fight next to Wallace and do your best to support the inhumanity that's delivered from all those who put them through so much. How could anything have ever gotten this out of control? Well this is one of my favorite movies, if not my favorite. The soundtrack is simply powerful and so very lovely. I'm so happy this movie got all these pretty awards. It should be seen at least once by everyone. This is a truly brilliant Movie. 10/10 for this masterpiece. :)

Hey, It's Harry Potter (YAY!)
8 April 2002
This movie is very fulfilling in many ways. Finally a Harry Potter movie was made. I do hope they're planning on making all 7 movies. This movie itself was very well made, lots of pretty colors everywhere that give you a true feel of Hogwarts. The candles, the lights, the ceilings, the walls, the grounds outside, the quditch match, its all so beautiful and full of a life on it's own. Everything was depicted so well, even if things were left out of the book, but that's what the book is there for. The acting of everyone was so brilliant, and special. All the different characters in the big screen, shinning so brightly together like one big smile from beginning to end and every time you think about it. I am very pleased, very happy with this movie; and I was disappointed this movie did not get any awards. It deserves something. It deserves a lot more than that, but I don't know why people will always be so mean in judging towards things like this. 10/10 It's a very fun movie. Everyone has, or should make a place for Harry Potter in their hearts.

What a dorky movie
31 March 2002
Gosh, this movie disappoints me so much. I hate that Danny DeVito tried so hard to be unique in his directing disabilities. Like trying to trick people with things that were in one scene, taking away in the next, then reappear in the following shot. Gosh, and what's all this about this movie being dark?? What's dark about it? I don't get it, I really don't. The cussing? I thought the cussing was just so stupid. Everyone cussing in a movie just makes it feel more like it's all coming from one person. You know, the writer who writes everything, and is supposed to make different characters in a movie. I honestly didn't like it. I love Robin Williams, but hearing him cuss disappointed me so much. Gosh, I still cant get over the fact people think this is dark?!?!?! I don't get it; I'm as baffled as this movie being bad. Ughh... Get a life Mr. I'm trying to hard to direct, but still suck at it Danny DeVito.
