a lovely film. for the impressive cast, for the music, for the mixture of fear and fascination, for the lead actress, for the preservation of book 's spirit who does it the wise measure. the adventure, the meetings, the joy, the moral lesson are parts from a splendid show about childhood and fundamental details of life. more than an adaptation, a delight, despite not high level special effects. because Alice is the child who grow-up, because the solutions for different characters are interesting, because Red Queen and White Queen are source of special moments. a film for inside children. that is the difference by other adaptations. and the secret for admire and enjoy by this seductive film.
his universe, his basic ingredients. a fairy tale who becomes in his hand a manifesto. about love, about gestures, about sense of life and force of relationship. nothing new at the first sigh. Victoria Abril in same kind of role of the powerful/seductive woman who impose the order to a complicated/ fragile universe, Peter Coyote as the best choice for Nicholas, Alex Casanovas as a kind of victim who needs the woman's support. adventures, sexuality and cruelty, secrets and strange end are the old solutions for a not comfortable film in the case of Almodovar. but Kika has something different. a strange poetry of scenes, the science of Veronica Forque to give precise nuances to her character in inspired manner.
a real good film. for the flavor of the period, for the presence of Ninetto Davoli, for the performance of Willem Dafoe, for the status of precise map for Pasolini's universe, for the passion of director. a film like an old picture. support for memories, reflection, rediscover the name of one of the greatest conscience of Italian XX century. an occasion to understand an universe. not in its profound sense but in its precise borders. at first sigh confuse, it is only expression of absence of courage. Abel Ferrara has not a clear way for explore the world of Pasolini.or the courage to create the painting more than its sketch. but he has an idea. result - few lines, short images, suggestion and words, the interview and the family around the table, the meeting with young man and the dream of a travel to noway. sure, it could be disappointment.the looking for the heart of life is only suggested ignoring its fundamental position in Pasaolini's work. but it remains a good film. for the silences. for emotions. for the pieces of a life who remains an important legacy for our time. because the questions are the same. because the answers are ambiguous. and the voice of Psolini, in his writings, interview or films remains high powerful.
not great, not extraordinary. only a correct work. with classical ingredients, for the precise target, using the old fashion of fairy tale. that is all and the high expectations of the viewer, in this case, could be the only problem. it is a nice film, adaptation of a well known story, with good actors and beautiful costumes, far by artistic revelations but decent - Helen Bonham Carter and Dereck Jacobi represents lovely surprises -. it is a film for kids and that is only fundamental sin. because only a child has the gift to be satisfied with a not complicate mix of romanticism and justice, few toys and not the best acting. but that is the key in this case. because it is only a correct adaptation. and it is not the real bad choice.

a teen series must be only nice. and Felicity has that virtue. a girl, few boys, common situations, large territories of love, small crisis, not new dialog'subjects, problems, friendship, expectations, hopes. so, nothing original. but that is its purpose. to present a story without high ambitions, to be escape for teenagers and mirror for expectations. only a show, it has humor and few charming moments. and nothing else. a kind of oasis , unrealistic but seductive, few not bad actors and the universe of Felicity. a series who reminds many others. and that could be another virtue. because it is nice. and for the crumbs from a fascinating age in not worst light.
