Virus (1999)
It is Aware...that it stinks!
2 August 1999
The previews said "From the creator of Alien and Terminator." It should've said "Using cliches from Alien and Terminator!" I usually like sci-fi flicks but this movie had bad-acting (like in the commercials when the guy goes "We're gonna die!" which was never in the movie anyways), and was boring! See the Alien Trilogy (And maybe Resurrection) instead, cause it'd be the same as watching this, only better

Scream 2 (1997)
Not as good as the first, but still good
4 June 1999
This didn't surpass the original Scream even though it had more scares (I guess just cause I saw the first on video and S2 at the theater). Scream had some feeling to it that other horror movies don't have (Even though I like some of them), so that's why the first Scream is better. But still the sequel is great and cannot wait till Scream 3!

The Hand (1981)
Not the best, but good
4 June 1999
OK, the murders weren't gory (Just strangling), it was slow at sometimes, but still an enjoyable movie. I mean, Idle Hands was gory, funnier, fast-moving, has a great soundtrack, and better, but it's still a great flick.

The story is about a cartoonist played by Michael Caine who shows his girl a lizard's tail (The name of the story the movie is based on) which is still moving which fore-shadows what happens later in the movie. Then in an automobile accident, he loses his hand. They can't find it, so they give him a robot hand for a replacement. And the hand he lost was the hand he draws and writes with, so they have to have a replacement. He complains the artist is not as good as him and they find a recent cartoon scribbled on. And then there's the murders. A bum (played by director Oliver Stone) is killed by the hand (In a brilliant black and white sequence). Then Caine moves to some place to teach and cheats on another girl. Then other murders happen.

I won't give away what else happens. If you want a psychological thriller about a killing hand, rent this (Or And Now the Screaming Starts). But if you want a killer hand and a comedy, see Idle Hands (Don't listen to critics).

The Hand: B+ Idle Hands: A-

Divorce this flick!
31 January 1999
I watched it yesterday and it was sooo stupid! This movie is really a poor man's Friday the 13th. I felt like I was watching a film through a projection cause of the quality of the film and the sound! The blood? One word: Ketchup! Don't waste your time with this flick (even the ending was dumb!), and watch Friday the 13th instead!

Terror Train (1980)
A great film filled with suspense
16 January 1999
I had to rent this movie so badly, so one night I did and it was cool! The killings are cool and so is the suspense. The scene where that guy was looking through the room trying to find the killer kept me on the edge of my seat! **** out of **** stars.

The worst in the series. What were the stars thinking?
3 January 1999
One day I rented this film and thought it would be cool! I never seen the other ones first, but after watching this, I think I should have!

-First of all, there's no scares at all like in the first one

-The murder scenes have no shock in them

-It's confusing

-Nothing makes sense

-It wastes good stars

-In other words, it's the worst in the TCM series!

Hopefully the next in the series, is alot better! *1/2 out of *****

A nice and gory slasher film
3 January 1999
When I heard this was going to be on TNT, I taped it. But then a Mad Max movie was on at first so I had to fast-forward it and hoped Slaughter High was worth it. And it was! It had cool death scenes, like the one where the girl gets acid in her bath tub and her skin melts off (although that is sorta cheesy). *** out of ***** stars.

The Faculty (1998)
The last great film of 1998
28 December 1998
As we reach New Year's Day 1999, I'd have to say the Faculty was the last greatest film of 1998. It was scary, the acting was well done, the direction and writing is great as the gore and nudity is. The other movies that opened that weekend don't look that good enough as Faculty.

Trucks (1997 TV Movie)
Trucks sucks
23 December 1998
You heard me. It's so bad. The way the cars honk at each other to communicate will make you laugh. If you want to see a movie where a spirit possesses an unmoving object and kills people, see Child's Play. Don't waste your gas seeing this movie (pun intended).

Scream (1996)
A classic next to Halloween
20 December 1998
Scream was a great movie. Tons of scares, laughs, great stars, a great director and the list goes on! If it weren't for this film, I would never be a horror fan! I love it, its sequel, and its so-called "rip-offs" such as IKWYDLS and Urban Legend. A+ *****

No wonder it was delayed for a long time
20 December 1998
I am truly a fan of the TCM films even if they are bizarre, but this one makes them look like the Psycho movies! Through the whole film I was like "What's going on here?" Hopefully the next TCM film would kick this movie in the behind!

Night School (1981)
*Sigh* The good old days
14 December 1998
I love the new 90s slasher films out, but with the films in the past I wish I was born in the 70s! Films like this, Graduation Day and Friday the 13th are such great movies to watch!

on the subject of this film, it's great. While it hardly has any murders in it, it's just fun to watch! The killer is surprising and what happens to him (or her!) is suprising too. The plot too is cool (The killer decapitating girls and putting their heads in water). I'd recommend it, but if you don't like films that hardly have any murders, don't watch this.

Super Mario Bros. (1985 Video Game)
The first video game I ever played!
8 December 1998
I remember this being the first game I played when I was a kid. I love it along with it's sequels! The music is fun and so are the graphics! With the new games out, this game seems old fashioned, but I remember playing it and liking it.

The best film with the best ending!
5 December 1998
I just loved this! Although when watching it, I kinda knew who the killer would be, you would too, but the ending gives it an extremely nice twist! When watching this and its sequel, those nights I hardly fell asleep thinking about those horrible ways for people to die! Like in this one where the guy gets stung by bees and they show his body and his face is covered with a hundred angry bees! Only if you like F13 rip-offs this is the film for you (Although I heard the Burning is the best F13 rip-off, but never seen it yet)!

Jack Frost (1997 Video)
Fun film to watch
26 November 1998
I don't really see why people hate this film. Sure, the plot about a killer snowman who is really a guy in a foam suit seems stupid, but that's what makes it fun! The part where he fires an icicle through that guy's shoulder and another one through his head is the coolest part. So if you like horror movies with cheesy special effects and where the killer makes funny wisecracks, this is the film for you! *** out of *****. And a B.

The Evil Dead (1981)
A classic next to Friday the 13th and Halloween
22 November 1998
I decided to rent this one day cause I've heard of it and when I watched it, I was 2 things: Scared and grossed out! I definitely say this movie is the horror classic in both scares and gore! The second time I watched it it scared me too! Out of a scale from 1 to 100, I'd give it a 99!

Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee!
21 November 1998
This film is so cool! There is no scares in it, but there's a lotta murders and funny wisecracks in it! My favorite one was when he put that liposuction machine into that woman's mouth and it started sucking out her blood into the bowl and he said "I know. I know. It sucks." No wonder he's always giggling! Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee!

This is definitely a classic
20 November 1998
So I watched the sequels firsts cause none of the video stores had the 1st one . So I finally found it at a store and bought it. And I watched it and I was like "wow!" This is so cool and scary! Of course if you look at F13 pages on the net before seeing this or watch the sequels first, you'll know who the killer is.

Cutting Class (1989)
Nice!
7 November 1998
This is pretty cool! The murders in here are out of this world! A guy baked like a turkey in a kiln, a gym teacher impaled on a flag pole and lots, lots more!

Great Christmas slasher film
5 November 1998
Well, we all know those angry parents picketed this film because of the thing about Santa being the killer and it's probably the reason why critics bashed it. But do I ever trust critics? Nooooooooooooooooooo! Critics are nothing but people who don't know a thing about movies today! This is definitely a classic! Although I was disappointed when I saw it cause I saw the sequel first and it showed all the killings in the first one! The sequel aside, this is it!

#3 of my favorite 80s slasher movies
5 November 1998
This is the third best slasher films in the 80s (F13 being the first and Prom Night being 2nd). Sure, the killer's bear costume is dorky, but it doesn't harm the film of scares and cool death scenes.

Psycho II (1983)
Not bad
5 November 1998
This isn't good as the first one, but it's cool. I watched this on TV so they cut out some good scenes, like when Vera Miles got a knife through her mouth. But it was still good. The acting is good too.

Happy Film To Us!
4 November 1998
This is a great slasher movie! Although Friday the 13th is #1 in my favorite 80s slasher films, this rocks. The title promises 6 of the bizarre murders you'll ever see! And there were! And the last 2 are the ones you'd usually see on other slasher films. What do you get?

1. A girl's neck being slashed with a razor

2. A guy getting caught in his motorcycle tire

And I won't spoil the other ones! See it!

This is Tobe's best since Texas Chainsaw Massacre! The monster is scary looking! Some scary parts, too! I just loved it when that guy got impaled on that sword!
