Sarah French aka Scarlet Salem burst onto the horror scene only four years ago diving in head first. She also models, she even hangs out at the conventions when she can and is a really grounded and cool girl, oh and really pretty; which you're fixing to find out! Check out what we talked about below, everything from her past and present projects and modeling , to the Comic Book Divas project we are involved in together, to her putting me in my place with my pretend alter ego Captain Awesome. Brian S- Hi Sarah, first off can you tell me where your alter-ego Scarlet Salem came from? You know I have one too, I'm Captain Awesome! Scarlet- Oh, cool! I think your friend, Lieutenant Lame has hit on me a few times, haha! My very first photographer told me I needed a ‘stage name’ so I could stand out and be on the safe side.

Would you attend a film festival organized by a guy who made movies like Killer Biker Chicks, Silent Night Zombie Night, and Super Undead Doctor Roach? Roger Corman, you have a call on the white courtesy phone: In the heat of the Nevada desert, in the middle of nowhere, exists a hidden world of violence, corruption, sex, drugs and rock & roll. The only thing hotter than the sun bleaching the landscape is the handful of ruthless biker chicks that rule it. When a band of musicians run into car trouble, they discover help in the shapely form of biker queen Mother (Rose Gorlano) and her girls at a lone gas station. But salvation is only an illusion as the boys and several other weary travelers find themselves caught in the crossfire between a rival biker gang, corrupt cops, drug deals gone bad and the meanest Killer Biker Chicks ever to ride the roads.

Sin City is suddenly becoming a genre town. The Blacklist Film Festival brought their indie flavor to Las Vegas; Live Evil hit the Sci-Fi Center; and the Fangoria Trinity Of Terrors took over The Palms.
Now William Powell’s comic shop and grindhouse theater hosts the Las Vegas premiere of Sean Cain’s Silent Night, Zombie Night (which we last covered here). The event, celebrating independent cinema, Christmas and zombies all in one night, takes place December 5 at 8 p.m. and costs $5.
Cain, who Fangoria calls a “Indie Horror Specialist,” will be on hand for a Q&A and autograph signing session after the film, as will producer Wes Laurie, and co-stars Chris Gabriel (”One Long Day,” “Devotion,” “S4″), Chad Clinton Freeman ("Killer Biker Chicks"), Luke Y. Thompson (”Wicked Lake,” “Mad Cowgirl”) and Sean Decker ("Alluvial"). Dread Central's Heather Wixson, aka The Horror Chick, will be hosting the event.

Kathleen Kinmont (Halloween 4, Bride of Re-Animator, pictured) and Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th) have joined the cast of the indie horror flick Haunting Kira, along with Scream Queens Monique Dupree (Skeleton Key 2 and Donna Hamblin (Demon Haunt). Read on for more details and a strange but compelling premise.
These actors join star Rachel Grubb, for the horror flick about a ghostly apparition who re-animates a rotting corpse.
Producer Chad Clinton Freeman (Regan Redding's "Killer Biker Chicks," Shane Ryan's "Amateur Porn Star Killer 3D," "Super Undead Doctor Roach") said Lehman will be playing the role of a cab driver when "Haunting Kira" shoots in Las Vegas in early 2010.
"Jason Vorhees driving a cab, loose on the streets of Las Vegas; If that's not scary, I don't know what is," Freeman joked. "But seriously, casting Lehman is one of the many fun things we have planned with this project. Hopefully...
