“When was the first time you heard the word ‘saccharine’?” singer Rachel Brown asks, sounding a bit like a tired Beat poet, on Water From Your Eyes’ jazzy song, “Remember Not My Name.” Like practically every lyric on the avant-pop duo’s Everyone’s Crushed – at least the ones that don’t read like free-associated stream of consciousness poetry – Brown’s question could be taken ironically.

“Experimental pop” is probably the most succinct descriptor for the music made by Brooklyn duo Water From Your Eyes. But it’s also a little bland, which is why singer/vocalist Rachel Brown follows it with the more expressive “dance punk, question mark?” and “art rock, shrug.” They also admit they do, unfortunately, have to hand it to the awful drunk guy they met in England who told them, “You sound like Sonic Youth and New Order fighting underwater.”
Instrumentalist/producer Nate Amos, meanwhile, has grown partial to “sandwich rock.

The new housewife has been married to her husband Nate for 10 years and they have two children, Dominic and Valentina. She refers to herself as “Boujie Mama” and owns a clothing boutique called Boujie Kidz.
She is now making her mark on the reality series along with two other new NJ cast members: Rachel Fuda and Jennifer Fessler.

On this season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Danielle Cabral joined the cast, along with Jennifer Fessler and Rachel Fuda.
Jennifer Fessler, who already had an established friendship with Margaret Josephs, appears as a “friend.” She is a 53-year-old mother of two grown children and CEO of F.Major, a line of “comfortable” high heels.
Rachel Fuda is a 31-year-old mom of three young daughters. She and her husband, John, run Valet King, a business that provides valets, concierge staff, security, car washes, and detailing. MTV is full of popular reality TV shows, including those that featured average people looking for a chance to be on camera. However, not everyone who went on these MTV shows came out looking good. One person alleged that the editors of a show they appeared on portrayed them as “a total jerk.”

Although MTV initially focused on music, in the late 1990s, it gradually shifted into a hotbed for reality TV.
The 2000s saw numerous reality shows pop up on MTV. Some chronicled the lives of groups of people, such as The Osbournes, Laguna Beach, The Hills, and Jersey Shore.
Others gave fans small glimpses into the lives and personalities of famous people.

When MTV brought back the home-exploring docuseries Cribs, it also welcomed the return of its familiar voice for many past seasons, SuChin Pak. The MTV News alum served as narrator for the popular series where celebrities open up their often wacky (or totally swanky) abodes, refrigerator doors, and bedrooms to show “where the action happens.” The series is a trip down memory lane for Pak, who first joined the network in 2001. She has come a long way since, breaking new ground for representation and learning from each experience throughout her career. These days, viewers can not only hear her on Cribs or past episodes of True Life, but on a podcast, the journalist hosts with comedian, writer, and director Kulap Villysak called Add to Cart from Lemonada Media. We caught up with Pak for a nostalgic and thought-provoking chat. How was being a part of Cribs once again? SuChin Pak:...

Charlie Balducci, one of the earliest stars of MTV’s “True Life,” has died at the age of 44.
Balducci appeared on a 2002 episode of the docuseries titled “True Life: I’m Getting Married” and became one of its most memorable stars by yelling at a limo driver on his wedding day in front of the cameras.
Balducci’s mother told TMZ that her son passed away “unexpectedly” and without signs of illness on Saturday. He was found unresponsive in his bed by paramedics around 9 p.m. and was declared dead on the scene. Cause of death is still pending.
Balducci and his wife, Sabrina Balducci, sat down for an interview with “20/20” in 2013 to discuss their experience as one of reality television’s earliest stars. The couple said MTV’s cameras were following them for four months leading up to their wedding in 2001.

Does anyone recall when MTV actually stood for Music Television? It kind of seems as though anyone born after the 80s might have missed out on that fact since the channel hasn’t been about music for a long time now. Oh snap! Javi Marroquin clapped back at his former flame Kailyn Lowry after her shady tweet about why she married him on Aug. 10. The Teen Mom 2 star claimed that she tied the knot with her ex because she was "desperate" and this remark clearly rubbed Javi the wrong way. The drama started when a Twitter user claimed that Javi was only able to pull girls due to his reality star fame. Kailyn responded, writing: "When I met Javi, he lied to me and told me he didn’t know who I was... creeped his Twitter and sure as s--t he had tweeted me a week prior. That was after he got picked to do True Life and the girl refused." When someone else asked why she decided to say "I do" to Javi knowing all this, she shared her side of the story. Exclusive: Nxivm has been making headlines the past few weeks with the high-profile arrests of founder Keith Raniere and one of his top lieutenants, Smallville actress Allison Mack, on charges of sex trafficking as the so called self-help organization has been called by prosecutors a sex cult that has been keeping women as “slaves,” and branding them with Raniere’s initials.
One of those branded women is Canadian actress Sarah Edmondson who last fall became the first to speak out about the alleged abuse after a decade inside Nxivm along with her husband, Anthony Ames, a fellow actor and former Ivy-League Quarterback.
Edmondson and Ames are now slated to headline a documentary TV series. Set against the ongoing legal drama involving the leaders of Nxivm, the series will follow the duo as they, under the guidance of renowned cult expert and deprogrammer Rick Alan Ross, head of the Cult Education Institute,...

Do you think you know everything about Little Women: La star Terra Jolé? Well, think again!
It might seem like the reality star shared all the details of her life with the public over the last 15 years – first appearing on MTV’s True Life in 2002 -- but she’s revealing new secrets in her memoir, Fierce at Four Foot Two.
“Surprisingly, I couldn't believe how many stories I had to tell. In fact, we left a lot of stories out,” Jolé shares with Et in an exclusive interview about the book, joking that she thought fans knew everything about her too. “There are tons and tons of stories that I have not shared with anyone.”
While she is used to being very open about her life on television, there’s a big difference with sharing her story in print. “There’s no editing. It's you. It's not like what a producer may interpret as you,” she explains...

How the actress’s upcoming projects look to expand her image.
There’s no denying that Margot Robbie’s sex appeal has played a role in the trajectory of her acting career. However, while she’s often listed among Hollywood’s rising stars, her sex symbol status has not come without a price, as perhaps best exemplified by Vanity Fair’s obnoxiously terrible profile of the actress, which should not perhaps be counted as journalism so much as patronizing sexist ooze. The article mentions that Robbie is a talented actress, but mostly focuses on trying to describe her physical appearance as extensively and creepily as possible, with seemingly a secondary goal of irritating the entire country of Australia, or as Rich Cohen calls it, “America 50 years ago.”
From her “eagle spread” seduction scene in The Wolf of Wall Street to her bubble bath cameo in The Big Short to Harley Quinn’s absolutely everything in Suicide Squad, Robbie...
