Another woman has come forward with allegations against Matt Lauer, but this time, she claims their encounters were consensual.
Former Today show production assistant Addie Collins details an alleged 2000 affair with Lauer in an article published by Variety on Thursday. Collins was 24 years old at the time, Lauer was 43 and had just tied the knot with Annette Roque two years prior.
"Even though my situation with Matt was consensual, I ultimately felt like a victim because of the power dynamic," Collins says. "He went after the most vulnerable and the least powerful -- and those were the production assistants and the interns."
According to Collins, Lauer began sending her flirty messages shortly after he found out she was leaving NBC for a local news job in West Virgina. Before she left, she says Lauer invited her to lunch, which she agreed to for "purely professional" reasons. She claims that the two then began an affair, and alleges that they...

In the guise of a saccharine-sweet, Katy Perry-esque music video, Saturday Night Livecastmembers Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon and host Saoirse Ronan had a message for all the men in America who are just now realizing the ever-present, relentless horror and reality of sexual harassment and assault that women have been facing in our country for, well, ever.

Matt Lauer has issued a statement in reaction to the sexual harassment allegations made against him. The former “Today” anchor says there are no words to express his “sorrow” and “regret,” although he does mention that some of the allegations going around are “untrue or mischaracterized.” The statement was released by one of Lauer’s personal publicists. The statement reads as follows:
There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have caused others by words and actions. To the people I have hurt, I am truly sorry. Matt Lauer's termination from the Today show amid accusations of sexual harassment shocked America on Wednesday morning, and by the evening, the news was already fodder for almost every late night talk show host.
Jimmy Kimmel opened his show by talking about the unexpected turn of events, and how he first heard the news, like so many other people, when he first woke up on Wednesday morning.
"This morning, my wife looked at her phone and went, 'Oh my god! Matt Lauer!' Which, of course, I assumed he was dead," Kimmel recalled. "I guess this is better? I don't know."
"[So] what happens now?" he continued. "Does he have to do an emotional sit-down interview with himself?"
While the commentary about Lauer's alleged actions was handled delicately, many of the hosts were somewhat less charitable toward President Donald Trump, who decided to tweet about Lauer's scandal despite of being the target of numerous accusations of sexual...

Another woman has come forward to accuse Mark Halperin of sexual harassment, disputing the pundit’s claim that his bad behavior was limited to his tenure at ABC News. In an interview with the Daily Beast, Katharine Glenn described an incident at a dinner party while she was a student at Tulane University, in 2011, well after he left ABC. Glenn said Halperin, who was seated next to her, put his hand on her thigh and invited her back to his hotel room, under the pretense of helping her career. “It was gross, kind of pathetic,” she said. “He had no bearing.

News intern, said he kissed her without her consent in 2011, propositioned her for sex repeatedly over several years, and, in 2015, texted her that...

Another woman is claiming Ben Affleck once inappropriately touched her.
On Wednesday, makeup artist Annamarie Tendler, who is married to comedian John Mulaney, claimed that Affleck groped her during a 2014 Golden Globes party. Tendler made the accusations on Twitter, following the actor's apology to actress Hilarie Burton. Burton claimed Affleck groped her while she was a host on MTV's Total Request Live.
"I would also love to get an apology from Ben Affleck who grabbed my a** at a Golden Globes party in 2014," Tendler claimed. "He walked by me, cupped my butt and pressed his finger into my crack."
"I guess he tried to play it like he was politely moving me out of the way and oops touched my butt instead of my lower back?" she continued to claim. "Like most women in these situations I didn't say anything but I have thought a lot about what I'd say if I ever saw him again."

Woody Allen came off an incredible run of five superior films released between 1983 and 1987 (Zelig, Broadway Danny Rose, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Hannah and Her Sisters, and Radio Days) and then delivered one of his occasional “serious” pictures (without his presence as an actor) in late ’87 that was so dire that it only grossed approximately $500,000 in its initial run.
Basically a six-character “play” that takes many cues from the works of Anton Chekhov, September is set in a Vermont country house where depressed Lane (Mia Farrow) is recovering from a suicide attempt. Her best friend Stephanie (Dianne Wiest) is there for moral support. Lane is in love with tenant/writer Peter (Sam Waterston), and neighbor/teacher Howard (Denholm Elliott) is in love with Lane. Wow! It's been awhile since I've heard of anyone hacking into a TV broadcast system! But, it happened on Thursday morning when a lot of people in the Orange County area of California were treated to some emergency alert messages warning of an alien invasion and that the apocalypse was coming.
One video of the broadcast was uploaded to YouTube and it features a terrified voice saying:
“The space program made contact with... They are not what they claim to be. They have infiltrated a lot of, uh, a lot of aspects of military establishment, particularly Area 51. The disasters that are coming—the military—I’m sorry the government knows about them...”
Watch it below:
According to Gizmodo, the audio comes from a call that Art Bell, the host of the conspiracy theory-themed radio show Coast to Coast Am, received in 1997 from a man claiming to be a former Area 51 employee.
