Updated: There has been another round of content removal from Disney+, this time in the Emea region, which consists of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. More than 120 titles have been taken off this week, primarily Disney Channel original movies and vintage Disney live-action films, as well as a few series, including Zeke and Luther, Pepper Ann, So Random and the first three seasons of Nat Geo’s Genius and ESPN/Nat Geo docs.
According to sources, the takedowns were a result of a library title review. There have been several content purges at Disney+ over the last year amid cost-cutting, most notably the removal of a slew of original series last May.
Here is a list of movie titles that are said to be gone from Disney+ in Emea, compiled by Drew Ryan.

Chita Rivera, the beloved Broadway star of West Side Story, Chicago and Kiss of the Spider Woman, died today in New York following a brief illness. She was 91.
Her death was announced by her daughter, Lisa Mordente, who said that Rivera died peacefully.
One of America’s foremost Latina artists, Rivera was a groundbreaker, riveting critics and audiences alike with seminal performances of such soon-to-be Broadway standards as “America” and “A Boy Like That” from West Side Story and “All That Jazz” from Chicago. She was among the most nominated performers in Tony Award history – she earned 10 nominations, winning twice (for The Rink and Kiss of the Spider Woman) and receiving the 2018 Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.
Rivera rocketed to fame in 1953 with Guys and Dolls, then cemented her stature as a Broadway leading lady in 1954 with Can-Can, Mr. Wonderful in 1956 and, in 1957, the role that...

After a sluggish start that saw the first three entries in the franchise do solid business at the box office but leave critics, fans and casual audiences feeling more than a little cold, Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman was a breath of fresh air for the Dceu. The first installment to receive almost unanimous critical praise, Gal Gadot’s solo debut was a critical and commercial smash hit.
Not only was it the first DC Extended Universe movie to snag a Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but a score of 93% was miles ahead of Man of Steel‘s 56%, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s 28% and Suicide Squad‘s 26%. However, despite receiving rave reviews, Wonder Woman fell into a familiar trap by the time the climactic third act action sequence rolled around.

It’s widely acknowledged that between DC and Marvel, DC has the best villains. From the volatile anarchy of the Joker to the delicious anti-heroine of Catwoman, some have even become worthy of their own spin-off movies. So it was a fascinating decision by co-writer and director Patty Jenkins to take a different route with the baddies for Wonder Woman 1984. Namely, that neither are truly villainous.
Max Lord
Ok, Pedro Pascal’s Max Lord is a selfish, greedy con man who doesn’t care about what he does to society in the pursuit of money and power. He’s not evil per se, isn’t out for revenge, doesn’t actively wish death upon anyone; he just doesn’t care about the consequences of his actions. He is the embodiment of corrupt ‘80s capitalism and the pursuit of more,...

Nicolas Cage’s current status as a crazed-eyed paycheck-hunting star of contemporary schlock cinema seems to have reached the new evolutionary stage of conjuring meta-minded movie mirth with The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. With Cage set to portray himself, it appears that the film has honed in on a momentum-riding co-star in Pedro Pascal.
Lionsgate is in talks with Pascal to co-star opposite Cage in the film, reports The Wrap. Should the deal be finalized, Pascal will play Javi, a character described as “a Nic Cage superfan who is not all that he appears to be.” The co-starring duo will be in front of the camera for director Tom Gormicon, who is known as the co-creator—alongside Kevin Etten—of Fox’s single-season 2017-2018 supernatural comedy, Ghosted, and a lone feature credit in 2014 ensemble comedy That Awkward Moment, which starred Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Zac Efron, Mackenzie Davis and Imogen Poots.

Warner Bros. may have postponed the release date of Wonder Woman 1984, but the movie’s marketing campaign is still in full swing as it’d be if we weren’t in the middle of a global pandemic.
Ever since Wonder Woman premiered in 2017, fans have been asking for a sequel. Alas, after patiently waiting for three years, the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus compelled distributors and Hollywood moguls to postpone the release date of their movies, and Patty Jenkins’ WW84 was one of the unlucky victims.
Though it’s probably for the best, since even under more appropriate circumstances, the film would stand to lose much of its revenue if people were to avoid movie theaters as health officials deem it a hotspot for contracting the disease. The fact that theaters across many countries have shut down doesn’t exactly help matters, either.

Wonder Woman 1984 is one of the many movies originally due to arrive in the first half of the year that have now been pushed back because of the coronavirus pandemic. Typically, these releases have been moved until either the later months of 2020 or 2021, but the DC sequel has instead been rescheduled to drop in late summer. August 14th, to be exact. Warner Bros. seems pretty confident that this date will work out fine, too, as they’re already rolling out the promotion for it.
A new poster for the film has landed online today, promising that the princess of Themyscira will return to the world of man this August. The psychedelic one-sheet follows on from the super-colorful marketing materials that have come before, with it also highlighting Gal Gadot’s heroine in her new Golden Eagle armor, which has also been used in previous posters.

Liam Sharp and Grant Morrison return to add Doctor Who and Top Gun vibes to The Green Lantern.
The first twelve issues of The Green Lantern were, in a word, bananapants. Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp took Hal Jordan and the space police of the Dcu, and sent them outside the universe to parallel worlds and deep inside of Hal’s ring. The book started with Hal arresting a creature that bears a strong resemblance to classical depictions of Christian God, sent him deep undercover with the fascist monster squad, and Sharp and Morrison eventually ended the first season of the book with Hal using a miracle machine to rewrite reality.
Since then, Morrison followed up the story with Green Lantern: Blackstars, the story of the world Hal created with his dark bride and Controller Mu’s evil mirror of the Glc. It wraps next week (spoilers:...

Among the 16 contestants that competed on the second season of Fox’s “The Masked Singer” were two “Cheetah Girls”: Adrienne Bailon and Raven-Symoné. But due to the nature of the kooky singing competition, which requires its contestants to peform in head-to-toe costumes until they are eliminated — or win the whole thing — viewers at home didn’t know that both of those “Cheetah” sisters were part of Season 2 until Wednesday night’s finale. And neither did they.
Bailon wasn’t unmasked as The Flamingo until the two-hour episode, during which she came in third-place behind No. 2 contestant Chris Daughtry (The Rottweiler) and winner Wayne Brady (The Fox). However, Raven was revealed to be The Black Widow contestant more than a month ago.
“We got on the phone [last night] and we were like, ‘How did they think they were gonna fool us with that one?!?,” Bailon told TheWrap Thursday, after she was...

Another season of The Masked Singer has come to an end, and now all the masked singers have been unmasked. The Flamingo, the Rottweiler, and the Fox all competed for the golden mask in tonight's two-hour finale, desperate to keep their masks on until the very last second. In the end, it was the Flamingo who got unmasked first, in third place. It turned out that we were all correct in thinking it was Adrienne Bailon: Youtuber, The Real cohost, and former Cheetah Girl. Yes friends, The Masked Singer season two featured two Cheetah Girls who had no idea they were having a secret reunion this whole time (or at least until Raven-Symone was eliminated several weeks ago), and we think this calls for an...

Wonder Woman 1984 was supposed to be in cinemas by now, as it was originally scheduled to be released in November 2019 before being pushed back seven months to June 2020. The reason studio execs gave was that they wanted it to be their big summer superhero film, but since then, there’ve been rumors of disquiet with the direction of the movie.
Recent test screenings caused attendees to describe the sequel as overly goofy and campy and while Warner Bros. have enough time to tweak the pic (and potentially reshoot a bit if they can schedule it), we’re now hearing that a more recent test screening has gone down similarly poorly.
Speaking to someone who was a huge fan of Wonder Woman, ranking it as one of the best superhero movies ever, we’ve been told that Wonder Woman 1984 just doesn’t live up to the original. The individual...

Wonder Woman 1984 brings fans New Order, a dose of the '80s, Kristen Wiig's Cheetah, the return of Chris Pine's Steve Trevor, and more!
Welcome to the future! It’s a brave new world full of jazzercise, breakdancing, and neon lights. New Order’s Blue Monday (the “How does it feel” song) sets the tone for the can’t-miss trailer for Wonder Woman 1984. While there are multiple similarities to fantastic Charlize Theron action movies, WW84 manages to have a completely different vibe, proving just how wide the subgenre of women-fronted action movies can be.
And just in case you haven't already seen this incredible trailer, now's your chance to watch it. Or maybe just to watch it again.

“Wonder Woman 1984” dropped its first trailer on Sunday, with Gal Gadot returning as the titular Amazonian goddess.
The film is set, of course, in the 1980s in America, decades after the first film’s events. Kristen Wiig is playing Wonder Woman’s infamous comic-book nemesis Cheetah, while Chris Pine is returning for the sequel. It’s unclear, however, in what capacity, seeing how his Steve Trevor died in 2017’s “Wonder Woman.”
In the trailer, Diana talks with Barbara Minerva (Wiig) over drinks about her past life.
“My life hasn’t been what you probably think it has,” she says. “We all have our struggles.”
“Have you ever been in love?” Barbara asks.
“A long, long time ago,” she responds. “You?”
“So many times, yeah. All the time,” Barbara says.
Viewers are also introduced to Pedro Pascal’s Max Lord, an infomercial king.
“Welcome to the future,” he says in a voiceover.

The long-awaited Wonder Woman 1984 has finally released its first teaser trailer in anticipation of the full preview coming tomorrow. The Gal Gadot-starring movie sees Diana Prince get caught up with the Soviet Union during the 1980s, whilst taking on Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah and Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord. And although it ostensibly acts to set up Sunday’s trailer, the teaser released today does still give us a decent sense of what to expect from the movie.
We get to see Diana in full warrior princess garb, seemingly fighting against guards in what’s likely the White House and employing some neat bullet-deflecting tricks. The teaser seems to be focused on Washington, D.C., too, with a voiceover implying that the world needs Wonder Woman during the Cold War. Diana’s voiceover that “nothing good is born from lies, and greatness is not what you think,” meanwhile,...

Wonder Woman 1984 is finally heading into cinemas in summer 2020 and fans are eagerly awaiting Diana’s 1980s set adventure, with many eager to find out just how Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor has managed to come back from the dead. But right up there with that is how director Patty Jenkins plans to bring villainess Cheetah to the screen.
We know that she’s going to be played by Kristen Wiig, we know the broad strokes of her origin and we’ve seen on-set pictures of her in her pre-Cheetah alter ego of Barbara Minerva. But now we’ve finally got a look at Cheetah in a later stage of her transformation, courtesy of this licensed coffee cup, which you can see for yourself down below.
It seems Barbara Minerva has traded up the 80s nerd chic for a powerful leopard print jacket and pants combo, as well as getting a swish new hairdo.

She was searching for the legendary lost city of the 'Urzkartagan' tribe. Deep within the jungle, her team was betrayed by their guides and ambushed by the Urzkartagans. Only she and one other, 'Dr. Tom Leavens', escaped by diving in a river.

Take another look at leaked set footage, plus images from director Patty Jenkins "Wonder Woman 1984", starring Gal Gadot, opening June 5, 2020:
"One of my favorite things about making the original movie was that it took place during World War I in 1917," said director Jenkins, "in an era full of metaphors like 'modernity' and the 'mechanized world'.
"But I grew up in the 1980's' and 'Wonder Woman 1984' has its own look and feel.
"The reason I am excited is it showed mankind at its best and worst.

We’ve been waiting a long time for Wonder Woman 1984 and we’ve still got a ways to go yet. Originally planned for a Christmas 2019 release, the movie has been pushed back to mid-2020. Given how much we’ve seen of it already, that’s an excruciatingly long time until it arrives, but at least we’ve got another glimpse at the sequel today courtesy of director Patty Jenkins, who shared a new photo to mark Gal Gadot’s 33rd birthday.
The picture, seen below, shows the character in her Diana Prince civilian guise, peering down from a mezzanine at something happening below. It’s impossible to say exactly what the context of the scene is, but hey, Gadot’s at least looking pretty damn stylish.
