In Stan Original film Christmas on the Farm, premiering December 1, Poppy Montgomery plays Clementine Jones, an Australian author whose book about getting back to nature on a blissful Queensland farm is snapped up by New York powerhouse publishers London & London. But the truth is, “Clementine” is actually her daughter Emmy Jones, a New Yorker basing the book on her late mother’s journals.
When the publishers announce they want to experience an authentic Australian ‘Clementine’ Christmas before signing the deal, Emmy must race back to the old family farm, roping in her cousin David (Hugh Sheridan) and his husband Miles (Nicholas Brown) to help maintain the ruse. One problem: London & London CEO Ellison London (Jeanette Cronin) shows up with her handsome adult son Jack (Darren McMullen) in tow – and if he remembers the night he met Emmy in New York, the game will be up!
Asmara Felk and Demi Harmon also star.

Stan has announced a slew of new local commissions as it ramps up ambitious plans to have around a third of its first-run slate come from original production.
These include Hoodlum Entertainment feature film Christmas on the Farm, Matchbox Pictures drama Bad Behaviour, and a number of projects with Roadshow Rough Diamond, with whom the Nine-owned streamer has extended its partnership. With the latter it is readying a third season of Bump and a spin-off, Year Of, as well as a Gregor Jordan-helmed crime drama, Ironside.
Last year, Stan flagged it intends to invest in more than 30 productions per year within five years, drawing on Nine’s production facilities and co-productions with international partners including Hollywood studios and international networks.
Earlier this month, the service announced a children’s feature film initiative with the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (Actf), and it has a lengthy list of upcoming local projects...

Sigrid Thornton and Kate Jenkinson will star in ‘Amazing Grace.’
The pandemic-induced advertising downturn and temporary suspension of the local content quotas have not impacted the Nine Network’s prime-time commissioning and acquisitions for 2021.
That’s according to Nine’s program director Hamish Turner, who spoke to If today after the network’s virtual Upfront.
The network revealed Kate Jenkinson and Sigrid Thornton will star in Amazing Grace (previously The Midwife), Playmaker Media’s drama set in the unconventional birth centre attached to a major city hospital.
Apart from that and the previously announced fifth season of Easy Tiger’s Doctor Doctor, there are no local dramas on the schedule.
However Turner is delighted with Beyond Lonehand’s Halifax: Retribution, which has been winning its Tuesday night slot since launching a month ago and will assess the data at series’ end before deciding on a renewal.

It’s easy to say you don’t know who someone is when they’re not in front of the camera all the time, but that doesn’t make them any less famous to be honest. Darren McMullen would likely have something to say to those that might think it affects his popularity by not being seen on screen as much as other people, since he’s made a career out of both being on TV and on radio. He’s definitely taken advantage of both in a big way and made his career into something that has been to his liking. While he’s not dedicated

You may have previously thought that My Little Pony was just an '80s children's cartoon, primarily aimed at young girls. You couldn't be more wrong.

It looks like NBC has lost their affection for Love in the Wild. The series won't be coming back this summer, isn't part of the 2013-14 season schedule, and has been dropped from the network's website.
Hosted by Darren McMullen (season one) and Jenny McCarthy (season two), Love in the Wild ran for two years and 16 episodes.
In the series, 10 men and 10 women are paired into couples and compete in challenges together. The winners spend a night in a resort together and then, the next morning, new partners are chosen. In the end, one couple ends up winning a trip around the world.
What do you think? Do you like Love in the Wild? Are you hoping that it returns some day?...

Jason Mountney goes on the set of Channel Nine’s talent search series, The Voice, to see how the format, based on an international franchise, has come together. What ingredients have gone into making this certified hit that’s rated more than two million viewers on three consecutive nights?
Mike Goldman has one of the toughest jobs on the set of the Nine network’s new talent show, The Voice. He not only has to narrate the show, but also keep the audience from losing their enthusiasm as they realise shooting TV programs takes a lot longer than the one-hour bursts they see in their lounge rooms. A lot longer.
An ecstatic audience in the background is just one piece of the puzzle Nine and production company Shine are using to elevate the talent show to the much-vaunted “water-cooler TV” status that brings big advertising bucks and gets viewers to stick around.

NBC recently concluded the first season of a new summer reality competition series, Love in the Wild. It's sort of a cross between Big Brother and The Dating Game with a bit of Survivor thrown in. Those have all been on television for many years. Will Love in the Wild last as long, get a second season, or will it just be cancelled like so many others?
Hosted by Darren McMullen, Love in the Wild takes 10 single men and 10 single women and pairs them up for a variety of tough physical challenges in the remote jungles of Costa Rica. They have to depend on one another and become closer in very unique ways. During eliminations, the contestants come together and reveal if they want to stay with their current partner or if they want to get to know someone else -- often causing some broken hearts.

The final quarterfinal results show for "America's Got Talent" should prove interesting. Should Charles Peachock not advance due to the judges' choice at the end, I shall not be recapping anymore - as I will have thrown my laptop through my TV and will have neither machine with which to recap anymore. (Update: *sigh*).
The first results group is Taylor Davis, Avery and the Calico Hearts, Frank Miles and Fatally Unique. Only Fatally Unique deserves to advance out of this group, so it's a good thing that's who advances! They are so happy, it brings tears to my eyes. And Piers is so kind to them, really praising how hard they have worked to improve. I will say - I'm surprised Fatally Unique was in the Top 3 vote-getters. I thought they would be in the judges' choice for sure.

They draw for order - Skip picks Jessica, Ben picks Samantha (well, Mike should feel confident he can get her back), Steele picks...

"Love in the Wild" is the new delightful summer fare from NBC, where couples are paired up for competitions - and for romance. Host Darren McMullen tells Zap2it that the big shake-up next week has repercussions for the rest of the season and the initial finale idea got thrown right out the window.
We saw in previews Wednesday night (July 20) for next week that the couples, who seem to have settled in with the pairings they like, are forced to switch - which was Darren's brainchild.
"I was like, 'These guys are just getting too boring!'" laughs McMullen. "This is all about love and exploring other options and some of them hadn't even explored any options. And I thought let's mix things up a bit."
And the results of the switcheroo are felt all season.
"Not just this next episode, but the fallout from people being with other...

"Love in the Wild" is the newest reality show offering this summer. NBC's "Bachelor"-meets-"Survivor" adventure romance kicks off Wednesday night (June 29) and host Darren McMullen tells the press that there were definitely some good matches made.
"Without giving too much away, I would say a significant number of people found true love, to the point they are sneaking around seeing each other [now that the show has wrapped]," says McMullen. "I think everybody was genuinely surprised at the amount of people that actually, truly fell for each other."
He even goes so far as to tease possible weddings. "There could be wedding bells for more than one couple, I will say that," McMullen divulges.
That's good to hear, especially on the heels of yet another "Bachelor" franchise break-up.
So what makes this such a good environment to foster these relationships? McMullen says it's a bit of the "Romancing the Stone" phenomenon.

Chicago – In the mid-’00s, there were a series of 1-2 season reality programs all trying to work magic from “The Bachelor” formula. They may have had different names like “Average Joe,” “Age of Love,” and “Paradise Hotel” but they were all variations on trying to find love with unique twists. Like a program that some wise executive turned down in 2006 but is now needed to fill an empty timeslot, here comes NBC’s “Love in the Wild,” an atypically awful dating show. There’s a reason they stopped making these.
Television Rating: 1.0/5.0
Darren McMullen, the Australian host of “Minute to Win It” (one wonders if there isn’t some sort of foreign exchange program in which Guy Fieri is hosting a similar show in the Outback…can we leave him there?), serves as the Chris Harrison for the program — a host, a master of ceremonies, a game runner, and...

The cast of Love in the Wild.
In a TV programming executive's office somewhere out West, a conversation like this recently took place …
"You know what people really seem to like? Dating shows! Also … shows where castaways struggle to survive in brutally extreme environmental conditions that bring them to the brink of cannibalism … Say, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"That we hold a lottery to select two teenagers from each state and force them to fight to the death in some sort of futuristic arena?"
"Nah. The lawyers are still giving us trouble over that one. But no worries, they'll come around. No, I'm thinking a reality dating competition! Somewhere without toilets."
And out of that inspirational moment was born this certain-to-be Peabody-award-winning televised nature documentary:
As perky Aussie host Darren McMullen informs us, these 10 single men and 10 single women – all interchangeable Banana Republic employees, as best I can tell – have tried it all!

Is it just us, or do contestants on NBC’s summer dating show Love in the Wild (premiering June 1) look less annoying than their counterparts on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette? Maybe that’s just because we know they’ve signed up for finding love while paddling down crocodile-ridden waters and navigating through bat-infested caves in Costa Rica, which should mean there’s no one talking about wanting to be a princess. Of course, only time will tell. Here’s the photo, how NBC describes them, along with our first impressions.

The couple that wins the quest shares at the Oasis, a five-star bungalow. The rest stay in the less luxurious Cabins. “During an elimination unlike anything seen before, all of the couples will...

The host of NBC’s upcoming jungle romance reality show Love in the Wild says his show is more realistic than ABC’s The Bachelor. Talking to reporters at NBC’s summer press junket in Pasadena, Calif., Aussie host Darren McMullen says ABC’s veteran hit “paints a very fluffy, romantic picture of relationships, but it’s not real.” “Life in a relationship isn’t all limos and champagne dinners,” he says. ” is putting people in stressful situations and seeing if they can work together as a team. We were surprised how many genuine couples we ended up having.”
