General Hospital (Gh) spoilers reveal that the show has mentioned the late Constanza “Connie” Falconeri recently, leading some fans to wonder who she was.
Connie was once Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) girlfriend back in the day when they were kids in Bensonhurst. But as adults their lives changed dramatically and their story is full of twists and turns!
As teens, they dreamed of getting married, but Connie left him and hit the big time as a fashionista, changing her name along the way to Kate Howard.
The character came to Port Charles in 2007.
The plot took quite a turn when it was revealed that Kate later remembered that she left Sonny because mobster Joe Scully Jr. (Richard Steinmetz) raped her, she got pregnant, and then abandoned the child.
The trauma led her to reinvent herself and did not realize that her personality split into an alter ego who eventually caused chaos in Port Charles.

It’s been a year since former General Hospital star Haley Pullos was arrested after a near-fatal car wreck.
Initially, Haley pleaded not guilty to two counts of DUI and one count of hit-and-run.
In court on Monday, she changed her plea to no contest for one count of DUI while the other count was dropped, as was the hit-and-run count, Daily Mail reports.
Haley was then given three months in the county jail, which she began serving immediately following her plea being entered.
The actress will remain in jail until July 29, when she will attend a sentencing hearing where she will be formally given five years of probation and 200 hours of community service, and her driver’s license will be suspended for a year.
There was also restitution ordered for the owner of the car Haley was accused of hitting on the California freeway. She will have to pay...

General Hospital (Gh) tease that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has come back to Port Chuck to be a cop. His former mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be so happy.
You know that they say, when it rains, it pours! At one point in time Dex and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) appeared to be getting close.
Then Joss Jacks (Eden McCoy) happened and the rest is history. Is it time for history to be re-written? Definitely maybe!
General Hospital Spoilers – Dex Heller And Kristina Corinthos-Davis Oh My?
Lexi Ainsworth portrayed Kristina when it seemed like there were sparks between her and Dex. Right now Sonny and Dex are on opposite sides of the law, and what better way to intensify things than to have Kristina and Dex hookup?
Joss recently dumped Dex and Kristina has embarked on a relationship with Allison “Blaze” Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez).

Pregnancy is a common theme on General Hospital. Within the past year, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) are a few women who’ve become moms. So which Port Charles resident will be the next to announce they’re pregnant?
Here’s a look at a few candidates.
General Hospital stars Eden McCoy and Laura Wright I Craig Sjodin/ABC via Getty Images Joss Jacks’ relationship with Dex Heller leads to pregnancy on ‘General Hospital
Joss Jacks (Eden McCoy) has fallen hard and fast for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Most of the time, when they’re together, they hit the sheets. General Hospital is pushing Joss and Dex as their next young super couple. What better way to solidify their relationship than with a baby?
Joss becoming pregnant by Dex would make for a compelling storyline. Since Joss is young, she doesn’t know if she’s ready for motherhood.

Brando might be leaving General Hospital. Pic credit: ABC
General Hospital has fans on the edge of their seats as they await news on Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) condition.
He was hooked by the same person who injured Ava (Maura West), which means Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) didn’t attack his wife.
Brando was in the alley behind Charlie’s, where he was attacked. Fortunately, Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) was there to scare the attacker away, but she didn’t get there before her cousin was severely injured.
As the most recent episode of General Hospital aired, things for Brando didn’t look good. He was headed into surgery as Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), and Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) waited on any news.
In the preview, it looked like Tj (Tajh Bellow) was delivering some bad news to Sasha, which has viewers wondering about Brando’s fate on the show.

Greg Rikaart is no stranger to the Daytime Emmys. He earned five Best Supporting Actor nominations for his role as Kevin Fisher on “The Young and the Restless”, winning on his very first try. He also earned a nomination for Best New Approaches–Daytime Entertainment as part of the cast of the online series “Imaginary Bitches.” But Rikaart could make history if he wins for his new role on “Days of Our Lives.” He would be the first to win Best Supporting Actor for a gay role. And he would be the first openly gay actor to win for a gay role in any category.

There are six women nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 2018 Daytime Emmys, but if you’re having trouble narrowing it down, don’t worry. We’re pretty sure the award will go to a woman from “The Young and the Restless.” Unfortunately for us prognosticators, though, there are four women nominated for “Y&R,” so that doesn’t narrow it down much. Gold Derby contributor Tony Ruiz and I viewed the performance reels that determined the nominees and the winners. Watch our spirited debate above.
I’m predicting Marla Adams for her touching, wide-ranging performance as “Y&R” matriarch Dina Mergeron in scenes dealing with her fractured relationship with her daughter Ashley (Best Actress nominee Eileen Davidson) and the onset of her Alzheimer’s disease. But Ruiz is betting on fellow “Y&R” star Camryn Grimes for playing Mariah as she struggles with falling in love with another woman.

The 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards are on Sunday, April 29, but the winners in the soap opera acting categories were already decided by blue ribbon panels that viewed sample performance reels during the nominations round. That includes Best Younger Actress, where Chloe Lanier has earned her second straight nomination for playing the devious Nelle Benson on “General Hospital.” Will she win her first Emmy?
Lanier submitted a variety of scenes, starting with an angry confrontation in which Nelle defiantly admits to sleeping with Carly’s ex-husband Sonny (Maurice Benard) — or at least making him believe that she did. Nelle wanted revenge against Carly because Nelle’s father sold her kidney to donate to Carly’s ailing daughter Josslyn. She blames Carly and upon revealing her supposed affair with Sonny, she taunts, “What goes around comes around, bitch!”

The 2018 Daytime Emmys will be handed out on Sunday, April 29, but the winners in the drama acting categories have already been decided by blue ribbon panels that viewed sample performance reels. In the race for Best Supporting Actress, Camryn Grimes has earned her fifth career Emmy nomination for CBS’s “The Young and the Restless.” She has played Mariah Copeland on the show since 2014, but before that she portrayed Mariah’s twin sister Cassie Newman, a role that earned her an Emmy for Best Younger Actress in 2000 at age 10, which made her the youngest acting winner in the history of the Daytime Emmys. Can Grimes’s submission help her win a second Emmy, and her first as an adult?
The submission begins with Mariah kissing Tessa (Best Younger Actress nominee Cait Fairbanks). Mariah is apologetic about the kiss, especially since she is in a relationship with Devon (Bryton James) and...

The 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented on Sunday, April 29, but the winners in the drama acting categories have already been decided by blue ribbon panels that viewed sample performance reels. In the race for Best Younger Actress, Hayley Erin is nominated for her performance as Kiki Jerome on ABC’s “General Hospital,” a role she has played since 2015. Although this is Erin’s first nomination, she is no stranger to soap audiences, having previously played Abby Newman on “The Young and the Restless” from 2008 to 2010. Can Erin win with scenes dealing with her mother’s struggle to survive a horrible fire?
In the reel’s first scene Kiki is in a state of shock after her mother Ava (Best Actress nominee Maura West) has been horribly burned in a fire. Matters become complicated when the doctors inform Kiki that she may be forced to make decisions about her mother’s care.

The 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented on Sunday, April 29, but the winners in the drama acting categories have already been decided by blue ribbon panels that viewed sample performance reels. In the race for Best Younger Actress, daytime newcomer Cait Fairbanks earned a nomination for her role as Tessa Porter on “The Young and the Restless.” She debuted on the show in 2017, so she has earned an Emmy bid on her very first try. Can the rookie also win? She submitted scenes in which Tessa is conflicted about falling in love with another woman.
In the first scene on the reel, Tessa is saying goodbye to her friend Mariah (Best Supporting Actress nominee Camryn Grimes) as Tessa prepares to move in with her boyfriend Noah (Robert Adamson). It’s hard to say goodbye because they’ve been through a lot together, including saving Tessa’s sister from a sex trafficker.

The 2018 Daytime Emmys are guaranteed to have a fresh set of winners in the drama acting races. A couple of reigning champs weren’t eligible to return, but a few were pre-nominated again this year in their respective categories, and when the nominations were announced on March 31 they still missed the cut. What do you think of the nominations? And what omission shocked you the most?
Two of last year’s winners had already left their shows by the time they claimed their prizes: Best Supporting Actress Kate Mansi (“Days of Our Lives”) and Best Younger Actor Bryan Craig (“General Hospital”). Best Younger Actress champ Lexi Ainsworth (“Gh”) didn’t leave her show until October 2017, but she wasn’t among the Younger Actress pre-nominees this year. However, the other three victors were left out of the final nominations despite making the cut in the pre-noms: Best Actor Scott Clifton (“The Bold and the Beautiful...

Reign Edwards joined the cast of “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2015 as Nicole Avant and has been nominated for Best Younger Actress twice in a row (2016-2017), but she’s still awaiting her first win. The good news for her is that neither of the actresses who defeated her before are in the running this year. Does that give her a clear path to victory? If so, she would make history as only the second woman of color to win this award.
When Edwards first contended in 2016 the award went to True O’Brien for playing Paige Larson on “Days of Our Lives,” but her character had been killed off, so she didn’t return to defend her Emmy title the next year. It was Lexi Ainsworth who ended up prevailing in 2017 as Kristina Davis on “General Hospital.” Ainsworth remained on “Gh” until October 2017, but she’s not on the pre-nominations ballot this year.

Camryn Grimes (“The Young and the Restless”) is pre-nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the first time, but she’s no stranger to daytime TV or the Emmys. Though she’s only 28 her career stretches back more than two decades, and she was nominated for four Emmys before she was even old enough to vote. Can she graduate to her first adult nomination — and maybe even a win? Her character, Mariah Copeland, fell in love with another woman in 2017, so she would join a relatively short list of actors who have won for Lgbt roles.
Grimes originally joined the cast of “Y&R” in 1997 as Cassie Newman, the daughter of Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case). she earned Emmy nominations for Best Younger Actress in 1998 and 1999 before winning in 2000 at the age of 10, which made her the youngest drama acting champ in the history of the awards. Amy S. Weber's heart-wrenching A Girl Like Her begins by solving one mystery while posing another. As teenager Jessica (Lexi Ainsworth) tries on a spy camera that records from a seemingly impossible p.o.v. angle, the scene is intercut with footage from that same camera a year later as she takes an overdose of prescription hydrocodone. Ostensibly shooting a documentary about Jessica's high school's awesomeness, filmmaker Amy Gallagher (played by director Weber) begins investigating why Jessica attempted suicide, leading her to investigate popular girl Avery (Hunter King), who reportedly bullied Jessica. A Girl Like Her uses up-to-the-nanosecond technologies and storytelling methods to convey age-old messages about the cycle of violence and bullying...
