Excitement blends with anticipatory exhaustion as the first TV panels announcement for Comic-Con 2013 has appeared. This year, 20th Century Fox Television gets the nod for First Post, with newbie How I Met Your Mother saying Hi and Bye, and no joy for Glee fans as it didn’t make the 2013 cut. For the first time ever, "How I Met Your Mother" will be at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2013. The CBS sitcom is one of 11 shows produced by 20th Century Fox Television that will feature at the big event. Other programs expected to have panels include "Bones," "The Simpsons," "Sons of Anarchy" and the new series, "Sleepy Hollow."
Most of the shows included on the list are Sdcc veterans, but "Himym" is a big exception to that. As a sitcom, it's not exactly standard fare for the big festival of all things nerdy. But the convention has increasingly become about promotion -- and "How I Met Your Mother" can use that going into its 9th and final season. The full "Himym" cast -- Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan -- are scheduled to attend, along with executive producers Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Pamela Fryman.

Exclusive: Comedy Central has picked up freshman animated comedy Brickleberry for a second season to premiere in fall 2013. The second-season order is for 13 episodes, up from 10 episodes for the current first season. Brickleberry, executive produced by Daniel Tosh, has done well airing behind Tosh’s hit Tosh.0 on Tuesday. The animated comedy, which revolves around a group of dysfunctional park rangers at a second-tier national park, premiered on September 25 to 1.7 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in adults 18-49. Its strength has been young male demos, which are coveted by advertisers. Seven weeks into the run, Brickleberry is averaging 1.8 total million viewers each week and is the second-highest-rated series in its time slot with men 18-34 and men 18-24 in all of television. “We are happy to continue educating America’s youth about nature, and the national conservation movement,” commented Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s Head of Original Programming and Production.

Comedian Daniel Tosh has already apologized for directing a rape joke toward a female audience member, but now he may be scrambling to make sure another set of rape jokes don't get out.
An anonymous source has told the website RumorFix that "most" of the upcoming animated Comedy Central show, "Brickleberry," which lists Tosh as an executive producer, contains jokes about rape. The pilot episode is slated to premiere tonight at Comic-Con in San Diego, and the source says editors and producers are working against the clock to remove jokes that, in the wake of the ongoing controversy, seem indefensibly inappropriate.
“Everyone is freaking out, because most of the pilot is about rape,” the source said.
Ever since Tosh apologized via Twitter for offending the Laugh Factory audience member, the comedy community has been abuzz with talk about whether or not such jokes are ever appropriate. But no matter how...

20th Century Fox Television has announced its 2012 Comic-Con schedule, which we therefore present to you here. Not that they’re offering much that we cover here at SciFi Mafia, except for one of my top two shows. Hey Wait A Minute – Argh! No American Horror Story! Well, given that they’ll probably be shooting, and that Ryan Murphy has indicated that he’d like to keep as much of it under wraps as possible, that’s probably not a huge surprise, though it is a disappointment.
We already learned about the Fringe panel from Warner Bros last Thursday, and… that’s it for us with Fox, except for Futurama which is also produced by 20th Century Fox Television. But for those of you who watch shows that we don’t usually cover here, well, here you go:

After bringing you the finest commentary on asinine goofs and oofs, Tosh.0 host Daniel Tosh is branching out into the world of animation on Comedy Central: Brickleberry (seen here on the left) will chronicle the exploits of a ragtag group of forest rangers at a second-tier national park.
Tosh has amassed a nice collection of throats to voice the characters, including Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Tom Kenny (SpongeBob Squarepants), David Herman (Mad TV), Jerry Minor (Mr. Show), and Roger Black (who created/wrote the show with fellow comedian Waco O’Guin). [1] By now, everyone knows that Terra Nova's premiere has been pushed back multiple times thanks in a large part to its effects. You'll have to wait til the pilot airs September 26 on Fox to decide if the delays were ultimately worth it, but you can get a peek at the show's overall look right now. A new video explores the show's massive and really quite beautiful set. You can't accuse the crew of lacking for ambition, and considering that snowballing production costs were one of the problems that plagued the series early on, it's nice to know the money actually went somewhere. I caught the first half of the two-hour premiere at Comic-Con [2], and while there's room for improvement on the story side, I wrote that "f nothing else, the show looks absolutely gorgeous." After checking out this clip, I think you'll agree. Watch the video after the jump....
