Fun Stuff

Trivia:
The picture of Doctor Weird's castle in New Jersey is actually taken from an episode of "The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest" (1996) called "Escape to Questworld". It's a shot of The Belle Isle Institute, where Dr. Jeremiah Surd is housed. The shot was originally the Himalayan outpost from the "Monster in the Monastery" episode of the 1964 series. more
Quotes:
Frylock: [on the Plutonian spaceship] Which one of these buttons beams me out of here?
Oglethorpe: Those buttons are red! YOU'LL DESTROY US ALL!
[Frylock presses a button and party music plays while balloons and confetti fall out of the ceiling]
Emory: Alright, party time.
Oglethorpe: Whose birthday is it? Someone gets a spanking!
[Frylock presses some more buttons until Master Shake beams in]
Master Shake: Hey! Happy birthday! Who's the lucky boy?
Frylock: SHAKE! How'd you get in this beam?
Master Shake: Look, that beam came from space. You don't own space, so stop acting like you do!

NUMBER ONE IN THE HOOD, G!, 25 April 2004

Rarely is it that we are graced with such an odd series that seems like such a painfully stupid idea that works so well. Aqua Teen Hunger Force details the lives of three roommates that fight evil forces. The odd thing about these roommates however, is that they are a milkshake (Master Shake), a box of fries (Frylock), and a wad of uncooked meat (Meatwad). Yes, it sounds completely stupid. And you need to see more than one episode to appreciate it. But it is surprisingly one of the funniest shows on television. My only complaint: that each episode is only about 11 minutes long. Aqua Teen Hunger Force really is "number one in the hood"! A+
