i had friends tell me that Sleepy Hollow wasn't worth my time, and I had others tell me that my life could not continue without watching this show. Anyway, I gave it a shot because I initially wanted to compare it to Tim Burton's movie. Also I heard good things about Tom Mison's performance and I enjoyed Nicole Beharie in Shame and wanted to see her in something else. Overall, the first season was smarter than I expected it be, by smart I mean an okay plot that wasn't always predictable and it was funny and never bored me. Certain points of the plot could've dug deeper into one character's story or another's but I'm glad it didn't as to not complicate things.
It's a fun watch, albeit some weird plot points and the occasional cliché or joke you've heard before. Tom Mison is hilarious as Ichabod Crane and made up for anything negative I found about the show and Nicole Beharie does a great job at having us take her serious as Lieutenant Mills.
