Kanye West is not one for public displays of affection. So it's downright shocking how candid the "Yeezus" rapper gets about his love for Kim Kardashian in his upcoming interview with Kris Jenner.
The 36-year-old's sit-down with Jenner will air Friday on her talk show, "Kris." In a preview clip of the chat, West gushes that Kardashian is his "joy."
"I could have people saying, 'This is going to damage your credibility as an artist or as a designer, and I say, 'I don't care. I love this woman,'" he said. "Or someone could say, '[T]he paparazzi surround you. ... Everyone knows you don't like paparazzi. Why would you be with this person?' And I would say, 'I'm being with this person because I love this person and she's worth it to me.'"
"You know, my grandfather just passed, and his whole thing was never about money,...

Mom and Nori, who have been keeping a low profile since Kim gave birth June 15, emerged from seclusion to attend the funeral of Kanye's grandfather Portwood L. Williams in Oklahoma City. New York -- The night busted open in New York City as Bruce Springsteen and other Rock and Roll Hall of Famers helped Steven Van Zandt celebrate his Big Man of the Year award.
Darlene Love, Elvis Costello and Dion were among the performers Tuesday night at a rollicking benefit for Little Kids Rock, an initiative that rescues music education amid public school budget cuts.
Springsteen had some fun while presenting the award – gleefully detailing their roommate days and Van Zandt's lack of housekeeping skills.
"What a liar," Van Zandt retorted with a grin.
Amid the musical blowout, Van Zandt and the other stars discussed the arts' role in fueling young minds and shaping character – tasks accomplished through the thousands of musical instruments and the lessons made possible by Little Kids Rock.
Costello, before going onstage, waxed eloquently on the "mundane and magical" aspects of music, and its transformative effects.

Scarlett Johansson has turned down an invite to accompany a member of the armed forces to the U.S. Marine Corps Ball - but has vowed to send champagne to make up for it.
Sergeant Dustin L. Williams asked the Lost In Translation star to the military event by uploading a video on YouTube.com earlier this week (begs25Jul11), in the hope that the newly-divorced actress would accompany him to the ball as his date.
Johansson has been forced to decline the offer due to a scheduling conflict, but she stills plans to reward Williams for the kind gesture.
In a statement, obtained by Zap2It.com, she writes, "Sgt. Williams, unfortunately due to prior commitments I will not be able to attend the Ball with you this year, but I am sending you a case of Moet and Chandon with gratitude."
Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis and even 89-year-old actress Betty White have all been invited to November's Marine Corps Ball. The Friends With Benefits co-stars have both accepted, while White had to turn down the offer due to prior commitments.

These days, inviting a celebrity to the Marine Corps Ball has practically become as de riguer as combat boots and fatigues. First, Mila Kunis accepted one Marine's invite to the ball. Next, Justin Timberlake said yes to another, and then a slew of other stars (Betty White among them!) have been asked to go, as well. The latest invitee, Scarlett Johansson, had to decline a video invitation from Sgt. Dustin L. Williams for the Nov. 10 ball, but she's sending a bubbly replacement to accompany him to the fete. "Sgt. While we all know it would never happen, you have to give the guy credit--he's going after half of the former most beautiful couple: ScarJo and Ryan Reynolds. That's true bravery.

The few. The proud. The inordinately single. And the ever so slightly shameless. We know that retreating isn't something Marines like to do, but, well, someone may need to call time on this incessant propositioning of celebs for their respective ball dates. The erstwhile Avenger became the latest star to nab an invite from a forward-approaching Marine, getting asked out to the Nov. 10 Marine Corps Ball in Albany, Ga., by Sgt. Dustin L. Williams in yet another YouTube video. "Recently I noticed in the media that a lot of Marines have been asking celebrities to the ball. Scarlett Johansson has become the latest celebrity to have been invited to the Marine Corps Ball by a Marine. Unfortunately, like Betty White, the actress playing Black Widow in "The Avengers" won't be able to attend the ball, but she is sending luxury champagne as a consolation.
"I feel incredibly honored to have been invited to the Marine Corps Ball by Sgt. Dustin L. Williams," said the 26-year-old in a statement to Zap2it. "Not only does Sgt. Williams deserve recognition for his bravery, selflessness and dedication to the United States and its people, but he also displays a cheeky talent for film making."
"Sgt. Williams, unfortunately due to prior commitments I will not be able to attend the Ball with you this year but I am sending you a case of Moet and Chandon with gratitude. In my absence, I raise a glass to you and all the men and women of the U.

Update with more details follows below.
Stop the madness.
Scarlett Johansson has become the latest in a long string of celebrities targeted by a Marine with a YouTube invite to the Nov. 10 Marine Corps Ball.
Sgt. Dustin L. Williams invited Johansson to the celebration held at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Ga.
"Scarlett Johansson," says Williams in the video, "it would be my pleasure to take you to the Marine Corps Ball and spend an evening with you."
No kidding.
The trend kicked off when both Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake agreed to attend after getting their own video invites.
Betty White turned down her prospective suitor, using work on "Hot in Cleveland" as an excuse, while original "Terminator" star Linda Hamilton accepted, telling her blind date, "rumor has it you like your actresses vintage."
Miley Cyrus, too, received an invite though, as far as we know, she hasn't yet responded.

Maya Luz shocked her fellow designers on "Project Runway" when she withdrew from the competition on Thursday night's (April 2) episode.
The 22-year-old designer from Santa Fe, New Mexico bowed out shortly after the challenge, designing a red carpet gown for host Heidi Klum, was announced.
At the time, Luz had said she didn't feel she was ready for Bryant Park. Her exit allowed previously eliminated contestant Anthony L. Williams to return.
Zap2it spoke with Luz on a conference call Friday to get more info on her decision, the reaction to her leaving and her life post-"Runway."
Before launching into that, let's check out what she had to say in her video diary:
The interview with Maya Luz ...
Did your decision to leave have anything to do with the challenge, designing a red carpet dress for Heidi Klum?
Maya Luz: No, not particularly ... It happened to have landed on that challenge.

One of "Project Runway's" most talented and entertaining designers, Anthony Williams, stopped by Access Hollywood on Thursday to dish on his big challenge win that landed one of his designs on the cover Marie Claire - and on the body of host Heidi Klum!
"Actually, I think Heidi Klum was the winner in that challenge," Anthony said when we asked about placing first in the Marie Claire April cover challenge. "She gets to wear an Anthony L. Williams original."

The good news for the new season of "Project Runway" is that after the show's lackluster first outing on Lifetime, there's room for improvement.
The better news is that with "Runway" returning to New York, judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia will be back with the show full-time (joining host Heidi Klum and mentor Tim Gunn) after missing much of last season. That should go a long way toward returning some luster to the show, which performed pretty well in the ratings (Lifetime says it's cable's top reality show among the female viewers it targets) but lacked some of the spark and outsize characters of past cycles.
A lot of that depends on the contestants too. We don't know yet if there are any breakout personalities among the 16 new designers, but they are at least a diverse lot. The field includes natives of the Dominican Republic, China, Cote d'Ivoire, Mexico and the Philippines.
