Keri Russell is down to revisit Felicity Porter’s life if a Felicity reboot were ever to materialize.
Amid a press tour to promote the new season of Netflix’s The Diplomat, Russell was asked if she would reprise her role of Felicity.
“I would totally do that if it was the right stuff,” Russell said in an interview to E! News.
Russell said she is still in touch with her Felicity co-stars Scott Speedman and Amanda Foreman, “who played my crazy goth roommate.”
“We all still talk all the time,” she added. “They’re like my total pals.”
When asked what Felicity would be up to in 2024, Russell said, “Mandy had a good pitch for it, actually. A really good pitch for, like… life wasn’t going great and, you know, didn’t work out. And she was supposed to be all these things. And then she bumps into someone…...

Power Rangers never gets enough credit for having some of the most bizarre action scenes ever put to the screen. From Rangers getting baked into giant pizzas to a prison fight over jello, Marvel and DC wish they had superhero action as wild as this. It isn’t just the footage adapted from the Japanese series Super Sentai that stands out but the American shot action as well. They were not about to be shown up by the Japanese multi-colored spandex fights.
The episode “High Five,” the second aired episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, has the unmorphed Rangers fighting the evil Putty Patrol in a mountainous area. Jason (Austin St. John), Zack (Walter Jones), and Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson) have to take on five Putties that have surrounded them. Now, what do you think would be the best option here?
1: Just morph and shoot them with your Blade Blaster.

In our multimedia-filled landscape, long-running franchises dominate. Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, and many more started small without world conquering ambitions. Nowadays though, if every entry in your franchise doesn’t make more than the last one and you aren’t cracking a billion dollars at the box office? Your franchise is a colossal failure. Thus, each new entry in a franchise is handled with extreme oversight and planning, most of which consists of “how can we scientifically engineer this to make as much money as possible for our CEO?”
Power Rangers is in that same wheelhouse as a franchise with 30 seasons of television, three feature films, and endless spinoff material. Fans currently wait on baited breath for a new Netflix Power Rangers series that’s in the works. In the world of television, a “pilot” episode is the one chance you have to make or break your show getting to air. If it doesn’t make the cut, it’s consigned to the film vault of history, never to be seen. It’s extremely unheard of for a franchise to get two pilots. Star Trek: The Original Series being one of those rare second chances.
Bafflingly it’s been assumed for years that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers had three pilots. As Tony Oliver, co-writer and developer of the Power Rangers pilot, first revealed at Power Morphicon in 2007, “the pilot episode, which turned into the first episode [“Day of the Dumpster”], they actually did three times.”
That means they shot three separate pilot episodes, right? Well, yes, but also no. It’s very complicated so we did the biggest deep dive research on the Power Rangers pilot ever. What we uncovered changes everything...

Felicity, the WB series that launched Keri Russell, Scott Speedman and Scott Foley to household-name status, is getting a fond look back after 25 years by its stars and producers in a new weekly podcast.
Dear Felicity, from producer J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Audio and Spotify’s The Ringer, will debut Wednesday, March 13, with new episodes arriving every Wednesday on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other major podcast platforms.

Among the vast landscape of media and cinema, the Power Rangers franchise is a rare exception for being one of the most liked and revered media franchises of all time. Spanning over 29 seasons with numerous narratives, it has cast a plethora of actors as Power Rangers as well as in other roles.

Jason David Frank is being remembered by his daughter Jenna Frank on what would’ve been his fiftieth birthday. The late Power Rangers star was paid tribute by his daughter with a heartwarming post on Instagram.
“I can’t put my pain into words. I still can’t believe you’re gone. I was with you on your birthday last year,” Jenna wrote in a post accompanied by a photo of herself and her father holding a birthday ballon and gummi bears. “I picked you up at the airport you were so happy to see me. "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always" is the anniversary special "Power Rangers" fans have been dreaming about for years. While we've had many special episodes throughout the decades, including massive crossover battles involving most Red Rangers (of the time), or different Rangers teams fighting together, this is the first time the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team has come back, and for a special that is specifically about them. That is, the franchise's first iteration, before it started adapting a different "Super Sentai" show with an entirely different cast, team, and theme song every season.
"Once & Always" pays homage to fallen Rangers, with a lovely and rather emotional tribute to Jason David Frank and Thuy Trang. Trang's character Trini, in particular, is central to the story of the special, with the death of Trini forever impacting the team, and inspiring her daughter Minh to pick up the mantle of the Yellow Ranger.

"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always" is everything fans could have hoped for in a celebration of 30 years of "Power Rangers." This is a special that is full of fanservice, Easter eggs from even the deepest of deep cuts from across "Power Rangers" lore, and all sorts of cheesy jokes and cool martial arts moves — including Hip-Hop kido.
"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always" takes place after the death of one of the Rangers, with the rest mourning a loss of one of their own as Rita Repulsa returns in a new robot body to wreak chaos across the globe. Meanwhile, a new Ranger rises to take the mantle of the old generation, because Power Rangers are forever.
This is a special full of cool moments and loving homages to the franchise, including a rather emotional coda that pays tribute to two fallen rangers, Jason David Frank and Thuy Trang.

It’s been 30 years since “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” premiered, but Amy Jo Johnson, who played the original Pink Ranger, isn’t finished with the franchise quite yet.
After raising $250,000 in less than 24 hours via a Kickstarter campaign for the “Power Rangers: A 30th Anniversary Comic Book Celebration,” Johnson will write a brand new “Power Rangers” comic book series with publisher Boom Studios, Variety can exclusively announce.
Debuting the series next year, Johnson collaborated with her partner and director Matt Hotson to co-write it. She recalls coming up with the idea before the pandemic hit in 2020. “I was daydreaming about it and mentioned it to my boyfriend, Matt. He said, ‘Why don’t you try to write it as a comic book?'” Johnson tells Variety. “We had all the time on our hands, so we daydreamed up this entire comic book series knowing the 30th anniversary was coming.”

Nick Cannon has addressed the antisemitic comments he made in 2020.
The 42-year-old was fired by US media giant ViacomCBS for “hateful speech and antisemitism”, following a podcast episode where he referred to white and Jewish people “savages”.
Cannon sparked further controversy after publishing a conversation on his YouTube channel with former Public Enemy member Professor Griff.
The interaction saw Cannon claim that white and Jewish people in positions of power have a “lack of compassion” as they do not have melanin in their skin.
“They’re acting out of fear, they’re acting out of low self-esteem, they’re acting out of a deficiency,” Cannon claimed. “So, therefore, the only way that they can act is evil. They have to rob, steal, rape, kill in order to survive. So then, these people that didn’t have what we have – and when I say we, I speak of the melanated people – they had to be savages.

The original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers return for the 30th anniversary of the American series on Netflix. While favorites like David Yost (Blue Ranger) and Walter Emmanuel Jones (Black Ranger) will return, so will the evilest villain. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always will bring back the vile Rita Repulsa (Barbara Goodson), but her return is questionable based on how the character exited the franchise.

Actor Jason David Frank, who originated the role of the Green Ranger in the original “Power Rangers” TV series and became a staple of the franchise, has died at the age of 49, his representative confirmed to TheWrap.
A cause of death was not immediately made public.
Frank played Tommy Oliver in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” when it debuted on Fox Kids in 1993, inhabiting the role of the Green Ranger. While Oliver was only supposed to appear in a limited number of episodes, the character was so popular that Frank returned as the White Ranger and would be a fan-favorite for decades to come.
Frank and the cast would reprise their roles on the big screen in the 1995 film “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie” as well as the 1997 sequel “Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie.”
Frank left the TV series in 1997 but reprised the role in one-off cameos in further spinoffs and continuations later on.

Superman & Lois Season 2 Episode 6
One of the best things about Superman & Lois is its ability to deftly balance a half dozen competing plots and character arcs at any given moment. The show somehow manages to pivot from stories about family drama and smalltown politics to deep cut superhero lore and teenage romantic angst without missing a beat, ultimately creating something that feels utterly unique to any previous version of this story that we’ve seen on screen before.
“Tried and True” is a perfect example of this—the hour is 100% nonstop from start to finish, featuring everything from a literal trip to Bizarro World and a high octane high school football game to the ultimate betrayal of Superman by the U.S. government. (There’s even a literal avalanche at one point.)

Since the Boom Power Rangers line of comics began it’s largely focused on the original Mighty Morphin team of characters. Now it appears that focus is about to go to the next level. Speaking at Emerald City Comic Con this past weekend, original Pink Ranger Amy Jo Johnson (who just directed an episode of Superman & Lois) let slip that she’s working on a comic for the line!
Johnson stated that “I wrote a comic book with my boyfriend and Boom is quite excited about it. We’re sort of in the process of getting it made.” Johnson describes the comic as taking place in the present day of the Power Rangers world, with the original Rangers now in their mid 40s. “A ‘where are they now?’ kind of thing – like a Power Rangers family reunion.”

They say you should never meet your heroes. But there are childhood heroes, and then there’s Amy Jo Johnson, the It Girl and the hero to practically every child who grew up during the 1990s. Johnson’s character of Kimberly Hart, aka the Pink Power Ranger on the kid’s television show “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers,” changed the landscape. It wasn’t just that she was peppy, bubbly, and a gymnast with the ability to kick butt. Johnson made the character relatable. She represented femininity in a way that seemed like someone you knew.
In the last few years Johnson became a director, fueled by the “Power Rangers” fandom. Her first feature, 2017’s “The Space Behind,” secured funding through an IndieGoGo campaign sponsored by her fans over the years. “I raised the money by the support of these kids who are now adults who have just followed me on my ride through…...

Tammy and the Television: Johnson Jam Packs Eccentric Indie Drama
Death becomes Felicity Huffman in the sophomore feature Tammy’s Always Dying from actress-turned director Amy Jo Johnson. A fractured character portrait of a daughter caring for her alcoholic mother, there’s an almost shocking number of eccentric tics crammed, both narrative and otherwise, packed into Johnson’s eighty-five-minute running time which somehow manages to seem less over-the-top than its synopsis.
At times touching, if thanks to a highly empathetic turn from lead Anastasia Phillips (as well as a somewhat contained Huffman playing a character which could have been egregiously over-the-top), it’s an interesting if not always entirely successful navigation of trauma and its exploitation which suggests Johnson is an interesting storyteller and another confirmation of Huffman’s abilities despite the highly publicized exploits of recent legal issues which, for the foreseeable future, will be baggage clouding the reception of her work.

Felicity Huffman has been in the news a lot over the last year or so, and not for her acting. There’s no need to get into the scandal she was involved in, since it has no bearing on her work here. However, it never hurts to have a showy performance to refocus audiences on your skills. At times, the drama Tammy’s Always Dying showcases Huffman at her best. At other times, sadly, it’s unfocused and doesn’t make proper use of her talents. It’s an uneven movie that sees the unevenness trickle down to all involved. Some elements work, some don’t. It ultimately creates a mixed bag that’s just shy of recommendation worthy. The film looks at the dramatic relationship between a troubled mother and daughter. For Catherine MacDonald (Anastasia Phillips) and her hard drinking/self destructive mother Tammy MacDonald (Huffman), the same routine...
