Trivia:

Was originally called "Superhero!", because of the other David Zucker movies "Airplane!" and "The Naked Gun." It was changed to "Superhero Movie" because of the success in the box office of "Date Movie" and "Epic Movie".

Goofs:

Continuity: When Dragonfly learns to fly, he sprouts wings, which would presumably tear through his costume. His back has no rips or tears in later scenes.

I Need A Hero

How???

It doesn't make any sense, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans are all candidates for my worst movie of all time. So why did I enjoy this movie so much? I don't like the cast but they work incredibly hard to make a half decent script into something highly amusing. A welcome return for Zucker style silliness and less pathetic attempts at parodies, there are also hints at intelligent humour and nods to other classic spoofs. There is also a truly hilarious moment involving Tom Cruise played to perfection by Miles Fisher.

Seriously it is truly hilarious in places, I am surprised but by no means ashamed to recommend this for anyone in need of a topical or silly laugh.
