Nostalgia-inducing Hollywood couple Daisy Fuentes and Richard Marx — she a regular on 1990s MTV as the network’s first Latina VJ, he the singer-songwriter of enjoyably cheesy ’80s and ’90s love anthems (“Right Here Waiting,” Nsync’s “This I Promise You”) — have added to their already impressive property portfolio with the purchase of a $9 million estate in guard-gated Hidden Hills. Simultaneously, they’ve sold an ocean-view Malibu mansion for $6.1 million, comfortably above the $5 million Marx paid for the place in 2015.
Though Fuentes and Marx are perhaps not as widely known today as they were during their early professional years, they’re clearly no less successful. Cuban-born Fuentes, 54, was a pioneer of the celebrity licensing/branding deals that are today an integral part of many artists’ income streams; by 2013, her namesake apparel brand had racked up a whopping $1.5 billion in lifetime sales. And Marx, 57, still reaps huge royalty paychecks from songs...

Even as technology caught up to ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” the 30-year-old clip show found a way to co-exist with online viral videos.
“We’ve worked with YouTube and Snapchat and other platforms to embrace how we can utilize what we do and what they do,” says “Afv” creator Vin Di Bona.
Since it began in 1989, “Afv” has been a showcase for funny videos — guys getting hit in their groins, wigs falling off, pranks caught on tape, pets getting into mischief — with each episode’s most-liked videos, as judged by the show’s studio audience, winning cash prizes.
“Afv” survived the dawn of YouTube and the existential threat it posed to the TV show by looking at such platforms as potential partners, rather than challenges. “The public loves it,” says Di Bona.

As you buckle in to watch “Making a Murderer Part 2,” there’s something Ken Kratz would like you to keep in mind: He still thinks Steven Avery is guilty as sin.
Since “Making a Murderer” made him famous nearly three years ago, the former Wisconsin prosecutor hasn’t been shy about defending his work in the 2005 murder prosecution of Avery and Brendan Dassey. Soon after the original documentary’s release, TheWrap reached out to him about suggestions in the Netflix docu-series that his office railroaded two innocent defendants.

There was a time when Daisy Fuentes was known far and wide as one of the most popular individuals on MTV and one of the most gorgeous women on TV for that matter. To realize that she had pretty humble beginnings isn’t too hard really but in truth she became a lot more famous than some people give her credit for since she was known worldwide at one point and possibly still is depending on who you talk to. While her family moved around a bit when she was young she learned English while watching reruns of I Love Lucy.

Philanthropists, influencers and celebrities gathered to honor the true stars — the patients and families of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Broadcast journalist, news anchor, and the author, called the “Voice of Hispanic America” by The New York Times, Maria Elena Salinas, received the 2018 “FedEx/St. Jude Angels & Stars Lifetime Achievement Award” for her outstanding citizenship to the community.
