Stripper (1985)

A peek behind the curtain

This movie offers an intimate and emotional look into the backrooms of strip clubs and a look into the behind the scenes of routines, training, and the lives of said dancers.

It doesn't completely dive into the dancers personal lives, however a few of the women in the movie are so earnest and open with their stories.

While maybe not the best documentary about stripping, however it's semi-light hearted and fun.

Watching from 2023, it's very interesting to see how the scene operated back in the day. I wish there was a follow up on these dancers, as I'd love to find out what happened to each one of them and how their lives continued after the movie.

Harry & Meghan (2022)

A fascinating inside look to royals and the UK media

Honestly, going into this I had no real idea who Harry and Meghan were as people. I knew them only by name and what brief headlines I had seen in the media. But after watching this whole series, it's really made me wonder about how I consumer media and what I give power to. Its appalling to see how intrusive the paparazzis get as well as the media smear campaigns done against Meghan and Harry, even in these other reviews.

I honestly believe Harry and Meghan did the right thing for their family and especially for their children. I think if you've seen the headlines or stories over the last few years, give this a shot with an open heart and open ears. While they are still royals or public figures, they still deserve basic human decency, respect and privacy.

I wish them nothing but the best and I hope the others that are smearing their names and throwing fits, I hope they can grow and learn a bit of empathy for those who have different battles than the rest of us.

Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed (2021)

Steve Ross deserves better

Bob loved to make people feel happy and he wanted that to be his legacy. He also wanted his son to not have to worry about money in life. Its that simple.

This was a great watch and really struck me how greedy people are. How far they are willing to go in order to make money. Is so gross and disgusting and i would think, against everything Bob taught.

If you watch this and come out thinking that Steve Ross does not deserve any part of his father legacy, you are wrong.

Do what makes you happy as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. Enjoy life, take up painting.

Thank you Bob, Steve, Dana and all the others who have re-ignited the the joy of painting in many people like myself.

Room 237 (I) (2012)

a poor excuse for a documentary

They really just let anyone and everyone make bombastic movies??? Every theory presented is more outlandish than the last. Im all for fun theories and dissecting movies; but this really just took it too far.

All of these people seem so out of touch, i really wish they'd stop overanalyzing movies and just do something more productive with their time.

If you enjoy the original movie, dont waste an ounce of your time on this. Truly.

Just go watch the original and enjoy it for what it is. A hell of a good movie.

Stellar movie, NK hits it out of the park. Definitely gives off the same vibes as I, Tonya and it's well excited. Will be coming back to this one in the future.

Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club (2019)

I watched an episode one night and it's safe to say, MTV reality shows like this are so over. They have been for a while, but this really cements this. Also, it's really obvious in the confessionals that Lindsay shot, the blurring filter is so intense it kind of looks like someone smeared vaseline on the camera.

Venom (2018)

You can love a character, but not like the movie

The movie had an interesting aesthetic and great animation for the symbiotes. But with some positives comes a few negatives. This movie had such poorly written dialogue and character building. The banter between Eddie and Venom seemed like it was written by a 12 year old trying to be edgy. Usually Tom Hardy is a pretty okay actor, but at times I couldn't understand what he was saying.

I saw this movie twice in hopes of it changing my opinions and and to gauge the audience, but it did nothing other than show me that a lot of people laughed at moments that weren't supposed to be funny. I think Venom is a great character, but I don't this movie properly told to origin of the symbiote. I hope in the future we get a better, more R rated movie. A PG-13 will never do the story or characters justice.

The Meg (2018)

It knows what it is

While the story is predictable, the dialogue boring and cliche, the movie knows what it is and pokes fun at itself. The animation/cgi makes it worth it to see this.

Very predictable, poorly written and so boring to sit through. It was almost painful to watch. Such a waste of such talented actors and actresses. I ended up leaving while there was 15 minutes left. It's really not worth it. Wait till it's on tv.

This is so perfect and wonderful to watch. It's captivating and opens up lots of discussions and insights to the world of film/tv production and Hollywood in general. Fantastic all around.

Ready Player One (2018)

Visually Stunning, Lacks In Story

First off, the animation is ASTOUNDING. The aniamted sequences were the best thign about this movie. Every time we went back to the "real world" it was boring and slow burning. I saw this in a theatre full of people and every time TJ Miller's character made a "joke" or refrence to somethign (tootsie pop commerical) next to no one laughed. A lot of the humour fell flat.

They also never really explained logging into the Oaisis. I'm assuming that your login is maybe a retina scan and a password? But it's never reallye xplained other than the villain having his written down.

The best part of the movie BY FAR is The Shining sequence. if you loved the original, this part of the movie will thrill you.

It's not a bad movie, it's best enjoyed in theatres. But if you're looking for good character development, this is not the movie for you.

Tomb Raider (2018)

Better than expected

This movie gave subtle nods to the game it is based on. While it changed the story from the original, you essnetially get to the same point by the end. While I wish they had a bit more story, I really can't complain. They got the core characteristics of Lara down and made it fun to watch. It reminded me of the fun I had when I originally played the game.

Black Panther (2018)

Go in knowing nothing

When i first heard about this movie I was not that excited. Marvel has been spitting out sequels that have been pretty trash the last few years. But I went in without knowing much about the characters, story, or plot. I saw one trailer and that was it. This movie stunned me. It's probabbly one of the best Marvel movies to come out. The action sequences alone were stunning. Michael B Jordan is such a good villain although I'm hesitant if they come out with a second one, because Marvel has a problem with villains.

I put this on hoping it'd be a nice lil movie to watch and get some goosebumps. i couldn't even get past the first 40 minutes. the acting was okay. the music and sound editing were so brogan and over the top. i was constantly turning the volume up and down. theres very little character building and honestly by the point i turned it off, i was rooting for the "ghosts".

dont bother with this.

Get Out (I) (2017)

Best movie of 2017

This was by far the best movie of 2017. When I saw it in theatres my first time, I was bloen away. by the end, the audience was clapping and screaming for more. It was so well done and wonderfully written. I saw it two more times in theatres and every time the audience gave the same reaction. I think that's a true testiment to a movie. When you can make your audience so passionate, thats real magic.

Molly's Game (2017)

Had me at the edge of my seat

You could easily read about the ending before or read Molly's book. But if you go into this movie blind, you will be gripped. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen for a second. Wonderful performances all around. For Aaron Sorkin's directorial debut, I couldn't have imagined a better movie.

A Stunning History of Facebook

While this may not be 100% acccurate to what Mark Zcukerberg says happened, its still a thrill. By the end you realize you're cheering for the bad guy and yet you feel like you can really realte to the stuggles of owning your own ideas. Easily in the top 20 of the 21st century.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010)

The best comic adaption yet

This movie perfectly summed up the comic book and incorporated so many details and things that enchanced this movie. Completely kickass, fun and exciting. Highly recommened if you love video games, comics and cool/different movies.

Tron: Legacy (2010)

Visually Stunning

The visuals in this movie alone, are stunning. The story and plot really felt like it followed from the last movie to this one. its a slow pace, but its so fitting for this universe. I loved it and recommended it a lot.

Suicide Squad (2016)

I walked out

I tried to like. I really did. But with too many plot holes, predicatble chracters, poor chracter development, and cringey one liners, I had to leave. The only interesting thing about this movie is the costumes.

The music was pandering way too much and seemed as though it was there just to try and elevate a scene that was ****. Batman, out of every superhero has the best rogue's gallery hands down. And this movie made me hate every single one.

I never want to see another Zach Snyder film again. Why studios keep throwing money at him, I'll never know. It seems as if he's perfectly fine catering to cringey/edgey teens who only shop at hot topic and like abusive relationships.

If you love DC at all, or even commics for that matter, do NOT see this movie. It will make you want to rip your hair out.

I was so excited for this movie because I love the books and comics and everything surrounding it. In some ways it really dissapoints. And I think if youre really interested by the chracters, read the book.

I don't really like this movie, but I gotta hand it to the creators for the unique style and idea. At a point where horror movies and thirllers were just cliche after cliche, this just came outta nowhere. if you're looking for the movie that pretty well started the found footage genre, this is it.
